I have Razr HD from germany.
I was on Stock 4.1.2, that update from OTA to 4.4.2 and now can't connect to any networks.
Short history:
I was on 4.1.2, unlock bootloader, root, flash some CM10 then broke display and buy new phone(Moto X). Several weeks ago i completly broke my Moto X, by new glass(from XT926) and power up my Razr. I want Lolipop, so i start googling about how to install on Razr HD CM12.1 and notice, that i need upgrade to stock 4.4.2, and than install CM12.1.
I have done mistake and flash using RSD stock 4.4.2 from XT926(VZW_XT926_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_CFC_1FF.xml). Don't clearly remeber what i do after that. as i know, i try install CM11.1, but it rebooting in start screen. After that i notice, that i flash wrong rom.
I flash using RSD 4.1.2(9.8.2Q-8-XT925_VQUL-1601_USERSIGNED_S7_USAVANQUO2DE02C.0R_LSAVNQJBO2DE _P014_A004_CFC.xml). All was working fine(wifi, bluetooth, gps, no rebooting). I upgrade from OTA to 4.4.2. Bluetooth is working, but wifi cant connect to networks. I see in settings all available networks, but can't connect to them. And if i flash using TWRP CM12.1(or CM11) in welcome page it rebooting. if i disable wlan module(i try to rename it to wlan.ko.back) all work fine, but wifi and bluetooth not working,
Can anybody help me? I stuck on this and don't know what i need to do to solve this problem...

I sppose, that after flashing ROM from XT926 file WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv.bin changed in persist.
I download other version (i cant post url) change them in persist dir , and now my wifi work!

I searched around and couldn't find a definitive answer. The problem I'm having is connecting to wifi at all.
After getting a phone replacement, I unlocked the bootloader, flashed CWM recovery, rooted, flashed CM 10 nightly 09/29 and GApps but when I booted, I could not connect to wifi at all...I can't even turn on wifi because the toggle is greyed out. I have tried reflashing several times and even tried a different rom. but still no luck. Anyone else have this problem or know how I can fix it? I rely heavily on wifi because of ****ty data in my dorm. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello,
What was the version of software on you phone before rooting, was it a T-Mobile phone? The newest version for T-Mobile has created is issues for roms that aren't the same version.

Yep, just found out that was the issue. kinda sucks because I'd rather have jelly bean! Oh well guess I'll deal with no wifi till a fix comes out.
why does the Ruu not work anymore i want to take my phone back to where the wifi works..... i have a cwm backup from before the update but that did not even fix the problem

Well i got the wifi back. ( and the OTA update ? again )
Relocked the phone boot loader
I opened the RUU
took the Rom.zip from the folder.
took the stock recovery img
flashed the stock recovery img
start the phone back up
downloaded the update again. ( 4.0.4 )
did all the waiting etc
phone powers down reboots applies the updates to it self.
powers back up updating completed
WIFI WORKING.
go to try and do the ruu.exe again but no it says error 140( i think ) wrong bootloader version.
This update changes the bootloader to version 1.14___ So now the phone is non tamperd and says relocked so back to stock ( YAY )(((for now))))( i think lol )
Most importantly the Wifi is working.
If anyone wants i can take and give the files from the RUU ( not the whole zip but what ever img's you want from it ) Just send me a PM i will mail it to ya.

So did you use the 1.84 ruu? And you did this after applying the tmobile ota?
Hey guys, i'm new to this forum so please forgive me if i posted this thread in the wrong section!So, got my jiayu g3 yesterday and i think i have already bricked it. It came with 4.0.4 stock ICS and I rooted it and installed a 4.1.2 jelly bean rom, however the rom didnt work at first it had the 'status 7' error so i deleted the lines from update-script and it updated fine but in settings it still showed 4.0.4.
now the internet wifi does not turn on, bluetooth doesn't turn on, however i still can use the cellular things but i think my Jiayu G3 is the new 'S501' and the rom i downloaded and tried to flash was 'S500' and that was the reason why it showed the status 7 error?
So guys, i need help!! i have tried everything, i cant do much as i don't have internet working on the phone. I have downloaded a S501 rom but i don't know how to install it without CWM(btw i don't have cwm atm even though i have root) and etc...maybe recovery? Any advice is appreciated!!!

Download a ROM for the new chipset, either the stock ICS one or a modded JB one. You can find both on needrom.
Friend Updated a Stock GT-P3113 using OTA update (Android 4.2.2) and it broke his WiFi. The WiFi does not turn "on" and cannot see any WiFi Networks.
The unit is out of warranty (bought last July i believe), and Samsung Customer "Service" says its a known issue the OTA but they want $100 USD to fix the problem they made.
So...
I rooted his device using Odin and installed CM 10.2 Official Nightly Build following all the wipe instructions. Booted up great but No WiFi.
I then decided to Return everything to the earliest p3113 Stock image, so I Signed up for the Samsung Official Forums, downloaded the Official Rom, and uploaded the ROM using Odin. Now running Stock 4.0.4, No WiFi...
Bluetooth seems to initialize and the ROM reads a MAC address, but I am unsure what to try next. I suspected a hardware issue but Bluetooth works, and the system never overheated...
Search Turns of only Hardware replacement, and WiFi Fixer does nothing. Any other ideas?

friend happened the same problem, the wifi does not work after updating the firmware to 4.2

Hi all good community these days he was experimenting with various roms and even install new CWM recovery to test the rom edition google play good what happened was this
1...As fails to operate the wifi on the rom GPE wanted to return to stock 4.4.2 retail use but before that just between the CWM recovery format gave all folders that were in storage mount "data. System. Cache. Persist. Firmware. Fsg. "
2... When flash the rom Stock retail USA I see in the section of wifi in the initial configuration, the wifi would not start then I go to advanced settings and out in Part WiFi mac address: NOT AVAILABLE could not activate Mac had no wifi because I suppose I am.
3.... Then in my distress download the rom telcel Mexico had been running on 4.3 to see if it worked and either! Nothing the same problem.
4.... After reading around I saw that the Nexus rom 005 G+ fix that problem and fix it so I've had wifi and running all over again.
5.... Displaying running back decided to stock 4.4 or 4.3 and nothing worked not only with the wifi rom Nexus 005 G+.
My question and I need you to help me the Dev or users who know more than me.
1... How I can make my wifi work again in another rom than the Nexus 005 G+.
2... The GPE rom my wifi Mac address if it works if it shows but never connects but shows but every time it restarts the Mac address changes.
3..... Now I'm with the nexus rom 005 G+ I can give solution to my problem starting this rom because I do not know what to do ever want to be stock but I can not because I do not work on wifi.
Note: THESE ROMS HAVE RETAIL USA, TELCEL MEXICO, GOOGLE NEXUS AND PLAY ROM 005 G+.

Yep, same here. I use the German version and after flashing the GPE stock rom, wifi won't turn on. I tried ref lashing everything, no luck yet.

you don't have to flash it: you have to use the command push (to push to the appropriate location the uncompressed file)
OK, so I got Boost 1031 and I flash them to Verizon 1028 firmware so we can use them on PagePlus.
I have flashed sever with this great guide but yesterday after flashing I allowed it to take te 4.4.4 ota and it worked fine but no 3G. I tried a few things without luck and decided to reflash the 4.4.2 firmware through fastboot. Apparently partition changes and such make this not work well. I guess I'm now stuck with parts of each and I can't seem to get either one back complete.
Symptoms: Reboots every minute or 2 and no wifi service.
I've tried sideloading the 4.4. ota, installing it from recovery and I also installed CWM, rooted and flashed a couple 4.4.4 roms and still wifi not happening and very unstable.
I began with unlocked bootloader, but stock otherwise. I really want to get it back to stock 4.4.2 or 4.4.4
I'm no expert by any means, but no noob either...any help would be much appreciated. I guess when someone release a complete 4.4.4 package I may be ok. Maybe a kernel or radio would work but I haven't found any packaged radios for 4.4.2
Fastboot & recovery are very stable...I'm back on stock recovery now.
BTW I flashed another today for a friend and updated it to 4.4.4 and everything worked fine...even 3G! I think I had a setting wrong in DFS is why 3G would work on the f'd unit.
Moral...Don't try to flash 4.4.2 over the top of 4.4.4
