[Q] [WIFI] XOOM Back To Stock 3.1 from Bigrushdogs method! Help! - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed Bigrushdogs 3.1 wifi xoom update when it first came out not realizing that it was just the 3g update modified to work on the wifi xoom. I want to go back to stock 3.1 WIFI but everytime i try to flash the HMI69 WIFI files it reboots into HMI66 3G! I have no clue why! I know i have the right files but after flashing boot, system, recovery, userdata, etc.. it always reboots into 3G xoom HMI66! most of the time it gets stuck in bootloops! is there something i am missing?? all help is greatly appreciated! i just want to get back to stock xoom! Thanks!

[RESOLVED] Cannot re-flash radio firmware on 9020a no matter what.

I've tried just about everything to flash a new version of the radio firmware on my 9020a. I've used the Radio Flashing Guide and tried every version available for the 9020a. Each time, the flash reports that it was successful, but no matter which one I choose, baseband still shows I'm running i9020aucke1 when I boot it back up.
I've also flashed the stock ICS OTA update 4.04 for the 9020a, thinking "well, THAT has to do it." but still I'm stuck on cke1.
Are there permissions that may be wrong? Is there anything else I can do? I want to flash a new radio because e1 is terrible for me. It won't switch between "3g" to "H" and just spins it's wheels and I get no data. Sometimes I get ZERO signal. If I reboot or switch Airplane Mode on & off, data comes back and works for a while, but then reverts back to working like crap.
Thanks a lot.
Update
I was trying to flash via Clockworkmod. I used ADB FASTBOOT and the radio is now on J1.
So, if Clockworkmod isn't working, use ADB FASTBOOT.

What recovery and what version are you using?

[Q] Flashed 4G recovery onto 3G phone

Okay.
So, I have tried to UTSE on this and found a thread that directed me to flash a new radio (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116884) which I have done but the fastboot is still not letting my phone respond.
So...
My phone is a GT 19023.
I'd updated to jelly bean awhile ago but was having some serious performance problems and wanted to flash back down to ICS or GB. Of course, the recovery wasn't working so I went to Nexus Hacks and downloaded his recovery files, stupidly I didnt notice it was 4G specific (crespo4g), just that it was for ICS and JB. The recovery seemed to work ok, had the new touchscreen version, but then I tried to install a stock GB ROM from my SD card. At the end it seemed stuck on writing radio. Wasnt doing anything so assumed it was ok to reboot. When it rebooted every process was failing so I tried to do the fastboot flash recovery again and the phone just wouldnt respond.
Tht's where I am at now.
Saw another thread and got directed to the link above to flash the radio.
Did that, used the UCKF1 radio, no problems installed fine but the phone still won't respond to fastboot flash recovery using recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-crespo.
Can anyone point me in the right direction PRETTY PLEASE! I'm not a techie guy and its my only phone :crying:
You did a lot wrong here. NEVER DO SOMETHING UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF IT
Also you flashed the wrong radio. I would suggest you to stop as where you are right now.
You need to go complete stock first, by flashing the factory image.

DESPERATE. Stuck at M Logo. No rom, no backup, no sdcard support

Okay, I've read every possible thread on every possible site trying to get my Xoom 3g VZW up and running again.
Long story short, here's where I am right now.
Bootloader is unlocked
Newest version on TWRP is installed
I have no backups
I have nothing on the Xoom
SD Card has a rom and gapps waiting, HOWEVER, I can't access my SD card in the Xoom
Cannot get ADB to recognize the Xoom at all, whatsoever.
I don't care if I have to go back to Stock/Locked (I'd prefer to just get this rom pushed and installed).
HELP!
You say 3G VZW Xoom? You never sent it for the upgrade? If so, make sure you use the MZ600 firmware files only.
I ran into a similar situation (Stuck with Red M on my screen) with my VZW 4G Xoom a while ago when I tried a Wifi Only ROM, then tried to go back to "stock" I posted how I fixed it here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803219 BUT I'm not sure that will work for a 3G MZ600 or not.
You could always try the Moto Stock fast boot files which are available here -> https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/rom-images

Correct. I bought it back on day one and never attached it to my Verizon account. I just used it as a wifi only tablet (at that point in time, the Wi-fi only version had not been released). So, I never sent it in.
I'm going to try with the fast boot files, but don't the require adb to be working? That's my biggest issue. No matter what I do, I can't get adb to recognize my tablet.

I don't believe ADB working is required. The power on, then press volume button allowed me toggle and put my Xoom in Fastboot as well as RSD modes.

[Q] Wifi automaticilly turning to off

Hello. I have a problem. At first I unlocked bootloader, rooted, put custom recovery, all the things, than I installed faux's hybrid first from fastboot ,but wifi would automaticaly turn off if i try to turn it on, so i flashed it with cwm as was one of the replies with the same problem. After that wifi was working properly. Than i installed xposed framework and uninstalled it uncorrectly and whatnot tried to change to art which turned to be a mistake. Basicaly my phone was really messed up, cuz i played a little too much with it. So i completely wiped it and went by the guide on how to restore stock firmware. I now have us retail version, but from the startup (with the original kernel) the wifi wasn't working. So i tried to install the kernel via cwm, but that didn't fix it. I don't know what's the problem. I also tried to copy /system/lib/modules files for hybrid kernel but nothing changes.. Maybe i could try with stock us retail 4.3 xt1032 files if anyone has them? I don't know im still a noob so if anyone of you has a solution or someething it would be kindly appreciated.
Thanks

TF700 Won't Boot OS - Can still boot recovery.

Hi all,
I was given the TF700 by my grandma as she no longer used it and I've been trying to solve the issue of it being so sluggish etc, so I've managed to unlock the bootloader, flash a custom ROM however, since I tried to flash the KatKiss ROM, the WiFi refuses to work. Every ROM after that has had no WiFi either. I tried to flash back to stock, as was suggested to see if that would fix the WiFi issues, to see if that would help, however now it won't boot past the boot animation - no matter what ROM I try and use.
I'm refusing to give up on this guy as it has the potential to be an amazing tablet... Y'know, when I can actually get it to turn on.
I've checked and I'm on the latest bootloader (US_epad-10.6.1.14.10-20130601 - I'm hoping that's right?)
Does anybody have any suggestions? I can successfully boot into Kang TWRP and flash things via recovery, but I can't get any ROM to boot past the boot-animation. I don't want to get rid of the tablet, but I'm unsure of what to try next. As I can still get it powered on and into bootloader/TWRP, I figure there has to be some kind of hope. Have I missed off any details that may be needed?
If anyone could help me out, I'd be eternally grateful!

It sounds as if you are not formatting properly between flashing roms.
Try that first: Wipe > Format data > type yes
let it finish, the process takes a good hour. Then convert /data to f2fs
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tr.../guide-convert-data-to-f2fs-twrp-2-8-t3073471
Flash the rom and gapps.
I bet it'll boot this time

Thank you so much! I'd been formatting but maybe not properly.
I'll give it a go once it has some charge in it - it's been trying to boot for about 7 or so hours now. I'll report back with anything if it helps.
So, I've managed to get the tablet to boot - but I'm still stuck with no working WiFi. It just greys out and says disabled. Bluetooth seems to work, but, I can't even connect to my phone to use it's data connection via Bluetooth tethering. I managed to get it to boot on KatKiss 7.1 - any ideas on the WiFi issue? Is there a flashable zip to fix WiFi drivers?

Nope, the rom should have everything you need. Don't know man - this is pretty unusual. You probably should flash it back to stock to have a point of reference.
If wifi still won't work on stock it's gotta be hardware.
Flash the stock blob in fastboot and then start from scratch:

Thanks for the link, but the official ASUS link in the post you've linked to is dead :/ I'll have a look after work tonight and see if I can find it anywhere else and whether I can get it working or not!

I tried all of the above steps and re-flashed KatKiss to find that the WiFi still did not want to work, which resulted in not being able to get past the setup wizard. I'm not sure what to try next, but at least it was worth a shot. Thank you for your help!
Well - did wifi work on stock?
You know about this bug right? From the OP:
Note that current gapps setup wizard will crash as it is not fully compatible with android 7.1.2 (KatKiss >= 022)
unless you turn on wifi manually after the language selection in the initial setup.
(if you don't have a dock, use the extra wifi button in the navbar)

Just seen this! Yeah, the WiFi worked fine on stock, but any custom ROM I tried had the same issue, so I'm not 100% sure what caused it. I sold the tab on after flashing it back to stock, though.
Thank you for your help though!
