Hey guys I found a post somewhere else on the forums (not showing up in search when i went to look for it again) but I just changed from G2X to Sensation and Order and Chaos wasn't available to DL from market on the Sensation.
I can confirm that the "any version" .apk that has been edited by MarketMilitia does indeed work on the sensation! (PS - I have purchased this app on the market for my other phone/galaxy tab, so I don't mind using the cracked version until my sensation is "officially" supported)
Anyway to get it working I copied the gameloft\games directory from the internal G2X memory to a memory card. Installed the "all versions" apk using ADB (which can be found on google, CyberAndroid has a nice post about it) and ran it. I had to download an additional 150meg but it runs nicely.
When i open the game its says your device is not compatible how did you did it i downloaded the ak you said

Same here, got MarketMilitia cracked version (confirmed with popup message on splash screen). Am I missing something?

The OP explicitly referenced a commercial APK edited by someone else, how is that different?
If it does indeed work, I would buy it. I don't see how bending the product I bought to my will to actually use it is in any way bad.
Addition:
I got it working with MarketMilitia's 1.0.0 apk (different from another which didn't work) and I had to find the cache since I didn't have another compatible phone. I installed the APK normally. Working very nicely now! I'm blown away by this game.
I got the .apk and the cache pf my brothers lg 2x still doesn't work help plzzzzz

Apparently there is an easier way to get the game available to you in the market. All you need is a rooted phone and an editor.
Open up the build.prop file and edit the strings so they now say this:
ro.product.model=Optimus 2X
ro.product.model.internal=
ro.product.brand=lge
ro.product.name=lge_star
ro.product.device=p990
ro.product.board=p990
Reboot the phone and you should see the game pop up in the market.
Read this worked for the Motorola Atrix 4g in the respective section on XDA.
Let me know if it works, will try so myself tomorrow.

Tried what you wrote, but it didn't work first time. I read around a bit online, and turns out that there are 2 lines of ro.product.model=HTC Pyramid , In our HTC sensation build props. YOU MUST CHANGE BOTH TO ro.product.model=Optimus 2X.
Also : NO NEED TO ADD THE LINE : ro.product.model.internal= ( We don't have it xD )
I then rebooted the phone. Installed app fine... now i'm downloding it from wifi =P.... i'll keep people up-to-date with results. =]

Are you sure it has 1.0.2? Because 1.0.0 was all devices... i haven't seen a 1.0.2 with all devices yet?

Followed this guys advice.
Edit build prop like i said.
Download + Install Game
Download Extra 650mb via wifi.
Then you can download the FREE Chainfire3D app...
Install 2 plugins. ( My sensation didn't Freeze like he said his evo 3d did! ) set it up as if it were the pro.. but then instead of 'per app' go on 'open' and click on plugin > Nvidia... then you can play Order and chaos fine ( well it worked great for me!! And i'm glad i can play on my account again xD )

ok on my sensation theres an app called top HD games. if you got this open it up and scroll to the bottom where it says my phone (htc sensation). if you click this it gives you the option change your phone. open up the list of phones and change it to a galaxy tab 2 or something. Top HD games now refreshes with galaxy tab 2 games. Order of Chaos is on the list. Download and it should work

Ok so i have a t-mobile htc sensation 4g but when i try and download asphult 5 which i own form the market it installes percect but the game wont download the files it errors every time at 1/4 through the bar and says no internet even though im on wifi?

I've been having trouble trying to get their site to recognize my Sensation. I have an account and either manually setup my device or have it try using the phone number. Doesn't seem to keep. Trying to download a game from them (Let's Golf 2) and the text link never let's me download, just redirects to their default site page.
Also been trying my cracked versions which worked on previous HTC Snapdragon procs. Most don't end up running either due to some type of crash or the resolution difference.
Did any of you try Order & Chaos online If it doesn't work it's a deal breaker for me

Hello people.
I have a friend's HTC Inspire 4G, he wanted me to install Shadowgun, which I did. I downloaded the 1.1.0 APK version. When I executed it, it began to download the required data and when it finish I began to play. Everything worked perfect, but when I reset the phone, the game ask me for download the data again... and when I check the

I can't remember the exact name. The thing is that folder have 1GB of data... meaning the Shadowgun data is really there. So I have no idea why the game ask me for download again.

Dude I said I play the game without problems, however when I reset the phone I ask me to download the data again. I guess if I play it, then it's not corrupted data.

it can still have a file corruption, wasnt trying to be mean to you. just saying its probably the easiest thing to try first before delving deeper into it. i did search around and went through market comments looking for a similar problem and couldnt find any. so that brought me to the conclusion that theres possibly something wrong with the apk. one flipped bit in a file can show at install or it could keep u from viewing the ending of a game.
at first i thought maybe you got the THD version of it but seeing as that one was 1.0.1 and you mentioned you had 1.1.0 that wasnt the case. Got to start somewhere with troubleshooting
Question...where did you download shadowgun from? If you did from the market then try emailing the devs. The contact info will be on the market page for shadowgun.
If you downloaded it from another place, and did it for free, please stop asking for help. That is a paid app. You should not be able to receive help here on xda for paid apps that were pirated.

OK I know it's not a corrupted APK because in my Galaxy S II (i9100) I have the same APK with the same data, and it goes like heaven, so I don't know.

I believe this same (edited) post asking for data files, was deleted from the General forum earlier.
And the same outcome. It is strictly against XDA rules, to ask for or condone the practice of sharing PAID Apps. Violations result in infraction points, and ultimately a ban from XDA.
Whether you paid for the app, is not a concern. In this case, your first avenue is the Dev of the program. NOT asking members to upload data files. You KNOW the rules, paid app or not.
I should hope I won't need to post again on this topic.

hi, its my first time here in the forum and i have read your problem with shadowgun.. i have also htc inspire phone installed with shadow gun.. i got this in android.mob.org at first, i downloaded this game in the torrent but i came up with the same problem with you. so here what you are going to do
1. download shadowgun to the mentioned site(put the cache file of the game into any folder of ur device but do not put it directly to sdcard/android/data/ bcoz at first launch it will be deleted)
2. then install apk
3. set your phone to airplane mode
4. then run the game
5. then press begin download (it will show some unknown javascript and let it
6. minimize the game.. do not close
7. copy the the files inside the com.madfingergames.shadowgun folder into the sdcard/android/data there is already a folder there with the same name with that folder.
8. open the minimized game shadowgun and it will now run smoothly

This thread was originally in the Xperia PLAY Themes/apps section and was moved to the Android Apps Developement section, but after being moved it was not updating on the Xperia play thread (obviously... hence moved) however I wanted to bring it back to the XPlay section as well for others to use as this involves a modified build.prop for xperia plays.... anyway if you are interested in read below....
K, so I reflashed my phone and proceeded to repeat what I did to gain access to the G-Gee Market and Square Enix. It is not really easy to do.
Download this zip with all 3 G-Gee Markets, install each one but the one you want to really use is the GameBox installer.
After they are all installed download the modded build.prop I used (its from my Xperia PLAY, if on another phone just copy the SO-01C to all references of Build, Model, etc)
Modded Build.prop
Save as a text document, backup your old build.prop (system/build.prop) Then copy the modded build.prop to the same place as your original.

Next you need to download/install Market Enabler and set it to Japan - Docomo, reboot your phone.

After the above steps are done and you have rebooted. Open Market Enabler and set it again to DOCOCMO, then copy this link to your gmail and send it to your self.

G-Gee is a Korean/Japanese Android Market.... G-Gee most notably has Digaea (free) and King of Fighters ($5)

It is a mixed bag. I have downloaded 8 games and half are straight Japanese... the other half are a mix of Japanese and English. The only game that allows multi languages is King of Fighters which supports Chinese (traditional & simplified), English, Japanese.

I started to consider that too... especially when the menus are a mix of English and Japanese it really makes you wonder..... its got to be in there. Anyways.... also after it was moved to android app development got people mostly with galaxy s2's asking why it wasn't working for them. Only 1 person with a Sammy phone got it to work. Everyone else's g-gee market kept saying "unspecified" for the type of phone they had. And the only thing I can think of is they have not gone through and changed their build.prop completely to look like a Japanese phone. So its being seen as a device with one brand and another model and its getting g confused......the g-gee market that is.....I'm always confused.....kidding. anyways it was my request to move this thread and I brought it back after all my messages saying its not working. I do not have any other phone but my xperia play and again my only clue to the unspecified issues are not modifying the build right. Any ideas?
Oh and its good to have it back here.. ......
Oh and another.... doubt its possible but would really love to have FF1 with full screen and xperia controls.... but wishful thinking probably. I have a better chance of being the president of Nova Scotia. Kidding.

First, I can't take credit for any of this. User mcmb03 is the one who found the thread and asked about it in the Q&A section. I went ahead and tested it out, and was able to get Google Now working on CleanROM 4.0SE, albeit not without its problems. (These problems are affecting all users, not just Sense users.)
Known issues
-Voice Search is broken
-"Show more cards" may cause a Force Close if there are no other cards to load. If you've done some searching, and Google Now has learned, for example, your favourite sports teams and there are actually more cards to load than what are on the initial page, it WILL load more cards.

Turns out I was wrong about the automatic card displays. I was under the assumption that a traffic notification would pop up without any user interaction, but you've actually gotta pull up Google Now, and when you've got an upcoming meeting, the top card will show you your meeting info and a traffic report.

lol Red5, of all the mods of all the xda forums I've partaken in, you're by far the spunkiest.
And I wouldn't say most of it's broken. The Voice Search, which is obviously a huge part of it, is the most broken part. It doesn't work at all. The "Show More Cards" link at the bottom causes a crash. Maybe this is because I have no more cards waiting to be viewed, I'm not sure.
I do get automatic cards showing up with a traffic report when I've got an upcoming meeting. I also did a search for "Toronto Blue Jays," and above the web results, I got a Google Now card recapping the most recent game (the Royals kicked our a$$!) And now that I've searched for the Blue Jays a couple times, it'll be interesting to see if Now is really learning my preferred sports teams, and the cards automatically show up when there's a new ballgame.

You don't get a FC when you click "Show More Cards" at the bottom? If that's the case, did you do anything different from the instructions I posted in my OP?

Nope, that's different. That's the "more" tab for search results. I mean when you open Google Now (from the app drawer, not from the widget), scroll to the bottom of your cards, and click "Show More Cards."
And actually... now that I've been using Now for an hour or so, I clicked the "Show More Cards" and it works now! It shows additional cards that may be useful to me, such as transit routes, the upcoming Jays game (so it did learn one of my "favourite" sports teams.)
So, as far as I can tell, absolutely everything is working except Voice Search. It really is getting more awesome to use as it learns things about me.
I hate to ask this because i'm sure your playing around with it at the moment. But any chance you could upload the Velvet.apk from the original post? (or will the second one work, it wont let me install). I'm trying to download it and wont get past 3.0

Yep, that should be all there is to it. Do you have "Unknown Sources" allowed in your Development Settings? Cuz you might need that enabled.
I've gotta step away from my computer for a bit, so I won't be able to assist for a little while, maybe a couple hours.

push to /system/app/ and set permissions to rw-r-r
So just to make sure, I don't actually have to install the app? Just download, rename it to "GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk" (rename/delete old one as well), copy it to /system/app/ set permissions, then reboot?

I recently got a Gamestick. I already tried a lot of things to get under the hood, I am unsuccessful so far.
I have discovered the Gamestick has an open port, number 7002. It appears to be an adb bridge, as typing:

on my PC yields a succesful connection, however, "adb devices" then says that the device is offline.
Has anyone with a bit more know-how (and a Gamestick) tried this? This device looks really useful, but it's locked down and very limited in what it can do right now. I want to try running my apps on it, but it's locked down.

I have discovered the Gamestick has an open port, number 7002. It appears to be an adb bridge, as typing:

adb connect <gamestick_ip>:7002
on my PC yields a succesful connection, however, "adb devices" then says that the device is offline.
Has anyone with a bit more know-how (and a Gamestick) tried this? This device looks really useful, but it's locked down and very limited in what it can do right now. I want to try running my apps on it, but it's locked down.

Seems to be because of the authorization... You know - when you connect a phone using the adb for the first time, you have to confirm the connection for the first time... No luck confirming the adb on the gamestick...

I figured out how to get into the Gamestick! Side-loading, root, Play Store, everything.
I have written a step-by-step tutorial with screen shots on GameStickers forum. Here's the link:

Those steps probably worked in the developer version but I was not able to access android directories on the non-developer version; only external/sdcard. Re:repost, I can do later in the weekend. As a side note, some repositories are no longer functioning on the Tofu XBMC fork on the gamestick.

Gamestick developer mode
Hi guys I bought one of those game stick and the first day I converted it to developer stick from game stick website and by doing that it gave me access to everything you need to install apps I installed amazon app store aptoid Google play services gmail and couple of games like dead trigger riptide 2 sonic and worked perfectly with the controller the only thing am stuck with is play store I installed most of the apps needed for the play store to run but it only open register my Google account show me apps and games than switch off if someone know a fix to that please let me know the stick is already rooted just installed SuperSU and root browser to access and copy apps to system/app folder
any luck?

I recently created a small custom ROM (more like a conversion) if you don't care about the Gamestick store (like me) and you want a open android stick that still works with the game pad, let me know and I can upload the ROM somewhere after I finish some details just make sure you understand that you won't be able to access the GameStick store at all, in fact your stick will no longer be a Gamestick, and well you might brick it, and all those disclaimers, blah blah blah
you can always go back to the original ROM

Was not able to re-post. Never got side load working. I believe side loading only worked with the developer units. My game stick does not work for a long time. Now I have Amazon Fire TV which allows side loading via adb. Not all apps are compatible. Very stable.

succeed downgrade, fake update, adb setting and install any apps.....

it says it has 8gb of storage but when I'm in the storage settings its only showing 4gb of storage?
I've got a developer version kicking around but it needs to be re-flashed. Open to offers for sale!
