I bought a few games when Gameloft was doing the £1 a throw deal.
All working ok but i got round to starting the last one i got today, NOVA2.
Problem is, when i launch & it requests to download the further 403mb it quits soon after with the error message " The download could not be completed successfully, do you want to try again? "
Doesn't matter how many times I try i get the same error & it usually just starts from the beginning.
I emailed Gameloft support with my receipt but all they did was send me a link to redownload the apk, which hasn't solved the problem at all.
Anyone had the same issue?
Iv got a few gameloft games installed with online capabilities on them and for some reason i keep getting thrown off the multiplayer services when playing them, so maybe it has something to do with their servers?
I doubt it, seems to bug out on me at the same point every time, like, 30seconds into the download.

I had a similar problem. It should continue the download rather than restart from the begining. In the end when it asked me do I want to retry I selected no then restarted the app.
Once you start playing there should be no further issues like this.

Tried that dude but it does bug out literally every 15-30seconds or so, and does restart from scratch after a few tries.

make a post on the gameloft forums, they will then ask for proof of payment then send you the fixed/updated file via email.
I've had 3 games with issues, all work fine now doing the above

Happens to me all the time too. I generally reboot each time it stalls, and if it still won't work I remove all of the downloaded data from SD card & start afresh.
Pain in the a$$ for sure, I still have Backstab to reinstall & my latest game Starfront finally installed but quits after the intro move

same deleted the cache on the SD card and re-installed all ok after that

I had that issue but for me it turned out that a 32gb memory card id bought was a fake. fine when I went back to the 16gb that came with the phone.

Tried that, still bugging.
Well, I got an email from Gameloft, basically saying that it must be a problem with my handset, so they've kindly offered to give me a replacement game...
Not much good seeing as I bought all of their games when they were a quid!
I just want to play NOVA2, boo hoo!!

I've tried deleting the NOVA2 folder from the gameloft/games folder, any othrr data i should delete.
Ive also deleted the game data from app settings, uninstalled the game & reinstalled, but to no avail.
i have the same prob with real football 2 any one know a solution?
Hey guys I found a post somewhere else on the forums (not showing up in search when i went to look for it again) but I just changed from G2X to Sensation and Order and Chaos wasn't available to DL from market on the Sensation.
I can confirm that the "any version" .apk that has been edited by MarketMilitia does indeed work on the sensation! (PS - I have purchased this app on the market for my other phone/galaxy tab, so I don't mind using the cracked version until my sensation is "officially" supported)
Anyway to get it working I copied the gameloft\games directory from the internal G2X memory to a memory card. Installed the "all versions" apk using ADB (which can be found on google, CyberAndroid has a nice post about it) and ran it. I had to download an additional 150meg but it runs nicely.
When i open the game its says your device is not compatible how did you did it i downloaded the ak you said

Same here, got MarketMilitia cracked version (confirmed with popup message on splash screen). Am I missing something?

The OP explicitly referenced a commercial APK edited by someone else, how is that different?
If it does indeed work, I would buy it. I don't see how bending the product I bought to my will to actually use it is in any way bad.
Addition:
I got it working with MarketMilitia's 1.0.0 apk (different from another which didn't work) and I had to find the cache since I didn't have another compatible phone. I installed the APK normally. Working very nicely now! I'm blown away by this game.
I got the .apk and the cache pf my brothers lg 2x still doesn't work help plzzzzz

Did you buy it from Gameloft.com? If so try this!
Step 1: Download the .APK file on a compatible phone
Step 2: Once its downloaded take the phone that you downloaded the game on and plug it into the comp

can't be played without wifi connection.
Apparently there is an easier way to get the game available to you in the market. All you need is a rooted phone and an editor.
Open up the build.prop file and edit the strings so they now say this:
ro.product.model=Optimus 2X
ro.product.model.internal=
ro.product.brand=lge
ro.product.name=lge_star
ro.product.device=p990
ro.product.board=p990
Reboot the phone and you should see the game pop up in the market.
Read this worked for the Motorola Atrix 4g in the respective section on XDA.
Let me know if it works, will try so myself tomorrow.

Tried what you wrote, but it didn't work first time. I read around a bit online, and turns out that there are 2 lines of ro.product.model=HTC Pyramid , In our HTC sensation build props. YOU MUST CHANGE BOTH TO ro.product.model=Optimus 2X.
Also : NO NEED TO ADD THE LINE : ro.product.model.internal= ( We don't have it xD )
I then rebooted the phone. Installed app fine... now i'm downloding it from wifi =P.... i'll keep people up-to-date with results. =]

Are you sure it has 1.0.2? Because 1.0.0 was all devices... i haven't seen a 1.0.2 with all devices yet?

Followed this guys advice.
Edit build prop like i said.
Download + Install Game
Download Extra 650mb via wifi.
Then you can download the FREE Chainfire3D app...
Install 2 plugins. ( My sensation didn't Freeze like he said his evo 3d did! ) set it up as if it were the pro.. but then instead of 'per app' go on 'open' and click on plugin > Nvidia... then you can play Order and chaos fine ( well it worked great for me!! And i'm glad i can play on my account again xD )

this works
ok on my sensation theres an app called top HD games. if you got this open it up and scroll to the bottom where it says my phone (htc sensation). if you click this it gives you the option change your phone. open up the list of phones and change it to a galaxy tab 2 or something. Top HD games now refreshes with galaxy tab 2 games. Order of Chaos is on the list. Download and it should work

I don't have crash bandicoot pre-installed on my sd card no more. I'd like to try out using the Native psx emulator developed by yifanlu, but when i run my crash bandicoot, it seems to get stuck on "Updating" and never changes.
I've tried the US version as well, same result. Left it on for over 2 hours and still showing Updating page and nothing moves...
Anyone have any idea what i can do?

I accidently deleted my crash bandicot SD data the other day, when i fired up the game it started to download straight away if you want i will upload a copy of my crash .apk so you can try that one

Maybe you will have more luck, if you push it back to /system/app where it came from rather than just installing
Thanks for the tip, but I didn't realize that within system/app I already have the same file that you uploaded. So I installed it from that location, but when I try to open it. All it keeps saying is updating... And I don't think it changes? Is it meant to change page to say maybe downloading or something? Is it meant to take ages to download?
This is getting quite annoying =.=
Anymore tips? Or should I just keep leaving it on the updating page?

To be honest for me, when i launch crash, that updating box stays on maybe 1 second then goes

Problem Solved
I went back through and started replacing .apk's i had deleted. I even tried installing crash different ways, put it back into system an still no good, installed to sd card didnt work, installed to system normally didnt work. So when the Syphon Filter didnt work for me either, and I had all the sd files for syphon filter already, but even that said updating. It wasnt crash. There is an app called "preinstalledservice.apk" and idk why but none of the sony playstation game apps would work without it. Just put that .apk back into system apps and change permissions on it. Everything works great now, oddly enough the preinstalledservice.apk also has a weird looking icon... I attached it below, almost like its smiling with razor like teeth just because it knew I was gonna need it back in system lol....
Is your phone unlocked? I read somewhere that if your phone is unlocked then you lose drm support...since unlocking my phone I have not been able to download any new xperia games.....

yea, I have an unlocked bootloader, everything still downloads fine. it only stopped working if i deleted the "preinstalledservice.apk"

Interesting...... On another forum someone mentioned how Sony said a long time ago the emulator will work on Tegra 2 (which it does, as in the Sony S1 tablet). However you would think ok then why wouldn't it work on any Tegra 2 phone, well the Playstation Certification of course. But what could that entail? Simply a build.prop modification? Based on this maybe not, maybe this .apk is specific to hardware to make sure that its running on PS Certified devices only.
Just my theory....

I would have to agree with you because without that apk I couldnt run anything. And when Syphon Filter 1 or 3 opened and froze at updating , I knew it had to be something missing on my phone because the Syphon Filters weren't released for xperia play on verizon, So they didnt need to update anything because I already had the files needed and they were modified to work on any xperia play model/carrier.

I have seen the file in titanium backup and when it's removed none of your xperia exclusive stuff will work anymore
the phone goes back to being regular android without it

i cant find this file, when i download it its a _apk_downloader_exe, need help should have read ahead. now i can put this apk back in system/app. Can some one help me.

I use WhatsApp for the most part of the day, I'm able to open, send and receive pictures and videos. Everything is running ok.
Try reinstalling the app... who knows?
i tried that,no differenceso i thought maybe i have to do a batterypull..
but i cant open de cover..tried it for 30 minutes..
have you seen in the manual how to open the cover? you need to push it with both your thumbs.
anyway, i'd try uninstalling and deleting all the cache you have from whatsapp of your SD card... then do a clean install and see if it's working.

Hold the phone face down on your palm, with the keyboard on your fingers. Now with your other hand, press the bottom of your palm on the battery cover, press hard and push upwards to remove the cover.
try factory reset next... xD

I don't know why the battery for some people is so bad. I have the phone as-is, using with Facebook chat, Google account configured and automatic sync. My battery lasts 24 hours, always. I don't installed too many apps, just Skype, WhatsApp, Evernote, Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Tune In Radio and Foursquare... maybe the case is some apps you are using?
I know that the Android market limits some apps depending on where you are based. Like we're usually unable to see the apps launched in Japan. For that there is a specific app/customization that I've read about a few months ago. Unfortunately I don't remember right now, but some Google should do it.
- Also, have you seen WhatsApp and Angry Birds on the market with other Android phones, in the same location? If yes, then we have to investigate the problem.
Alternatively, you may try downloading your apps using the web version of android market. You just have to login with the same Google Account you used on your phone and click to install on your web browser. The download and installation will happen automagically.
Curiosity: how can you say you can't see WhatsApp on your market if you're complaining about WhatsApp pictures in the first post?

when i go to the online version of market,it say i have a samsung phone,and i cant change that.. before i had a bb 9780,and would like tot have android.thats why i bought this phone..
maybe i just have tot accept that this phone is not what i hoped it would be

u download flash player thru website & install? btw chacha only support flash player lite & by default. other flash player are not supported. appcloser? why not try memory booster?
btw my whatsapp doesn't give me any problem.

Open the site, go to Market Settings (Account Settings), click the second tab, under the phone you don't use click it and select Hidden.

I downloaded and installed the 8.67MB file from the Android Market on my XOOM but when I open the app it says "You have to download additional files to play" this is 442MB and the app closes when it reaches 1% or 2. You guys have any idea why this happens and any solution?
It might be because of their servers. You do have enough space, right?
Also, shouldn't this be available for Galaxy S2 as well? I can't find it in the Android Market.

I changed the setting to never lock the screen and was able to get 20% of the game downloaded but after that it says: Could not download data! Please make sure you have an active internet connection.
I'm sure i have an active connection this is bul****. any ideas?

Then the servers are really a little bit to busy.
Just try it in some hours again.
That's not a logical reason, is it? cause it tells me i don't have an active connection.
