My sound stopped working - Samsung Infuse 4G

Just the external speaker stopped working. Phone is 35 days old. The other 2 are still working fine. Any ideas to try before i try resetting?
The sale rep is real nice, so if i cant remedy this tonight i may see if he will swap it for me. If not, after that im clueless with dealing with samsungs repair stuff.
Im stock, rooted, so i will have to unroot!

It just started working again. After copying all my stuff off and restarting several times

Me too
I had my Infuse since day one and I was running InFused. All of a sudden my external speaker would not work. I tried everything and could not fix it. Finally went to ATT and they replaced it under warrenty. Hopefully it won't break again.

Clicking noises

I have got an XDA2 and over the last few months it's started making a clicking noise as if it's trying to do something (Just 1 click at a time).
Did'nt bother to much as it was'nt causing a problem...BUT... Last week I got a sandisk 256mb SD card and ever since then it keeps switching itself on, I switch it off, a couple of mins later it comes back on again, sometimes you hear the click, sometimes you don't.
Tried soft reset...Nothing
Tried hard reset...seemed to work but had to do a soft reset for something else and problem came back :x
Can anyone PLEEAASE help.
Personally I'd be submitting it for warranty repair by this point.

Phone Radio Stopped Working

Hi Guys,
My phone was working at around 1 PM, went to the gym, and when I went to check it again, it no longer does. All the features of the phone continue to work, but just not the ability to make calls/use the internet (i.e. the radio)
Did a soft reset, then a hard reset, and another hard reset, but it just says no service.
Not sure if it makes any difference, but when I checked my phone after the gym, it was oddly in airplane mode.
Any ideas on my next steps to find out whats wrong? It is the Touch Pro, using EnergyROM 3.0 from July 14th 2009. The phone is in pretty good condition and has never done this before.
Regards
dude!
same thing happened to me today
i have signal for about 5 mins
n then it will cut out again for a hour
have you tried reflashing ?
and reflashing a new radio ?
Lol, well I have a fix for it, not sure if you should try it, but heres what happened.
When my sister got home, she said she would take a look at it (she being the techno wiz). So I passed the phone to her, but as shes a bit of a cluts, she drops the phone and shockingly it started working.
Vish, i didn't reflash it, but I may do it just to make sure it doesn't happen again, because I can't keep dropping my phone everytime I loose the signal.

My phone speaker is not working

Yesterday suddenly my phone speaker stopped working, I tried different custorm ROMs, and currently on stock using unbrick method, still I cannot listen anythign out of phone (music / phone calls)
But I can listen everythign using head phones..
Any one know, whats the issue...

It's the only easy way to go. I asked for a replacement Monday, today is Wednesday and it says my Refurb is in Florida already, I may not get it mailed today seems rather late in the morning. Waiting for them to update the info to see if I can just go pick it up. I have no patience. lol

Yeah i did the same thign.. I went to one Device support center, they dont have infuse device, then I went to other, and replaced it.. I cannot wait for a week, with this problem..
I have touchscreen issues where my touchscreen will start tapping things by itself and scroll until I turn it off and then back on, then it's fine. Only 1 other person is experiencing this issue, If I had to guess it was 1 of those phones that came from a bad batch, Also I have issues talking to ppl over the phone, they complain they can't hear me, I have to scream into the phone. I can't deal with it anymore. The problem stopped for a couple days then showed right back up yesterday with my touchscreen becoming non responsive and acting up. I had to tell them the problem is intermediate you never know when it will happen.

Touchscreen stopped working after soft brick...

Ok..
I had this phone for a while and I started using it again recently. I have fully replaced the digitizer/lcd bezel before with no problems (been a phone repair tech for 10 years) And it has worked fine.
The other night I reverted it back to stock because it seems to be the only way to get a constant data signal. Worked fine. I then updated it to the newest OTA update without a problem.
I then rebooted it and it stuck on a black screen loop with the buttons going on and off for hours. I spent 7 hours trying to figure out what was wrong, flashing, re flashing.. Nothing. Finally I get CWM recovery installed and find out my SD card is fried. So I put a new one in, and transfer over the roms I want t flash. 3 different roms, all with no touch screen.
Revert back to stock, still no touch screen.
Could something have gone bad on the board to have caused this? Is there something system wise not getting wiped that may cause this? Its to much of a coincidence that the touch screen and buttons would go out after all this happened.
Any help would be appreciated. Im waiting on a new digitizer now to check because Ive already gone over all the connections. But if its something software wise, Id like to try that before doing another digitizer replacement.
Thanks
funny you made this thread. i just got my hands on a soft bricked g2x that was stuck on the blue lg logo. after a quick nvflash it boots right up......but with no touchscreen. not sure if it ever worked as im not the original owner.
but i'll be keeping my eyes out on this thread for sure!
Id give a pretty to see inside both of your phones. Sounds like a bad contact on the ribbons.or one of them may have been ripped during a screen installation. I've never heard of the screen just up and quoting working without some major stuff happening to the phone. My guess is these screens were replaced with the wrong screen.just a guess though.

I have done phone repairs for quite a few years, It wasnt a wrong screen and has worked fine for a year since its replacement. I have already opened the phone again and made sure all contacts were fine. What Im trying to figure out is if there is maybe some part of the system/boot that holds the touchscreen drivers and they have bee erased?
Again, I find its a huge coincidence that it worked fine up until this happened then as soon as its booting again, stops working... Which is why I think its a software issue.
Try touching the corners of the screen after booting up start with the top left and go clockwise. One of the roms used to mess up the connectivity between phone and screen. And that is supposed to reset the touch screen. A old g1 trick

[Q] LG G2 rebooting and going in bootloop out of nowhere

I sent my LG G2 back to LG some months ago as the top of the screen was unresponsive and the screen was starting to get unglued. It was right before my warranty ended. When I got it back, as my warranty was already expired I decided to root the phone (using stump), but I kept the stock rom. Actually the only reason I rooted my phone was to install jishnu's camera mod as I wanted better quality pics and 4k video (and that never happened as I never got to see the lg g2 version of it).
After a couple months, my phone started rebooting with no apparent reason. After a week of this shenanigans, I woke up one morning to a bootloop. I was able to get it in download mode, so I tried flashing the original stock to undo the rom using the LG flash tool method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663369), but It didn't go through because it said it was a different version of the phone. I even try with the alternative dll provided in the post with no luck.
Two days later, after fighting tirelessly with the phone, I was able to get into recovery (twrp). At this point, I installed a Rom (slimkat) and that seemed to fix the problem. Then, a couple days later my phone started doing the same stuff again. Most of the time, the reboots were quick and it only bootlooped every now and then, and finally going into android. It get's really hot around the camera though.
Today it's absolutely stuck in a boot loop and won't go into recovery. I was able to pull the logs a couple days ago right after a reboot.
I would really appreciate if anyone could look into them and tell me what's wrong and if it's possible to fix. My biggest fear is it is hardware related (which would suck because it basically just came back from being serviced).
Except for these last episodes, it's the best phone I ever had. I love the quality of the pics, the size, the screen and I was hoping not having to upgrade for a couple years.
Thanks in advance.
(I removed the Logs because even though I scrubbed personal data from them, I still got 16 downloads and not a single reply related to them, and just to be safe, I will minimize the chances of anything going sour)
Have the same issue. It just started going in bootlops. Sometime I can get a few hours of use if I am lucky but no matter what I do (diff roms, baseband, lg flash tool to original firmware) bootloop will not go away.
Seems like something many people are experiencing after a year.
Let me know if you figure it out
