[Q] International keyboard from CM7 to MIUI - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good day,
Is there any way to "transfer" international keyboards from CM7 to the MIUI ROM?
I need Georgian alphabet support in my Nexus...
I really like MIUI and I want to have the great keyboard from CM7 (Gingerbread)
There are some 3rd party keyboards available on the market but I dont want to use them...
Any suggestion / solution?

Download or pull latinime.apk from cm7, delete the one on miui and push the cm7 apk in its place...

Did that, but now I only have English (US & UK) French and Portuguese input languages available.
Think there need to be some other files to pull from CM7...

Not running miui these days, but when I did the steps above were sufficient. Perhaps some things have changed since, can't help you though as my current main phone can't run miui.

You can try for Custom Locale (I belive is in the market)
I tried, but it doesnt change the language of the system itself.
I want the whole phone UI changed to dutch language.
So i think i need to install some language pack (just like in windows or any other OS).
Thanks for help.
Then I don't know... I know there might be some file insdie the roms that allows you to use your language, but I don't know what file should be... Try to contact with a modder...

Download the app MoreLocale from Market
I didn't have any support for Danish language on the system itself, but that app fixed it for me

[Q] Italian language for droid 2 global [SOLVED]

Hi,
I bought a droid 2 global in NY. I have unlock it to work with any italian network but it has not italian language.
There is any way to add the italian language on my droid 2 global?? There is any firmware with italian?
Is it possible instal in the D2G the firmware of Milestone 2? Or is it possibile to copy all language from milestone 2 and flash it in my D2G?
Thanks
go to market, search for Anysoftkeyboard choose ur lang and install :>
I have no problem with the keyboard. I need Italian as the language for all: settings, menus and everything else. I can set only English or Spanish
You should have bought Motorola Milestone 2 instead of the Droid 2 global. There is no way at least at this moment to use any other language than English and Spanish. The reason is simple: this phone is exclusively released to Verizon.

There are a total of 2 custom ROMs for the D2G but I don't believe either have an Italian language setting. This Phone is very new still and development has been slow because of the locked bootloader on all of the newer Droids (i.e. DX, D2, D2G, DPro etc.) Many devs have gone to more dev friendly devices.
Ok... one of this is the Fission 2.4 Droid2 Global by Team DeFuse I know it. About the second, what is his name? and you can post the link for more information about this rom???
Thanks
Second is the stock rom, deodexed with busybox and root integrated. Can be called custom

It's in the D2G development section but it's not really worth mentioning because almost no one uses it as it's laggy and mostly stock. It's not much of a change but it's a good start I guess.

Cyanogen CM7 and international languages possible ?

I just installed cyanogen mod and noticed that , althought I can choose Nederlands ( dutch) as a language , not all is in dutch . for instance the keyboard does not have a ductch dictionary available ( so no predictive text). Also Talk is in English as are some native nexus s settings .. The stock rom I had (gri54) does have all those things in dutch ... Is there a way to get those thing in dutch to on Cyanogen ?
I do not quite unnderstand why my language isn't completely supported on Cyanogen and it is supported on my gri54 stock ..
I think you must wait cm7 team to fully translate the mod to your language. You can also make a request at cm official forum.

Hi Bandis,
I already send a request to the CM team (Cyanogen himself) to contribute in translating the modded parts in Dutch (Nederlands). That was two weeks ago. But never received a reply on that.....

okay ..but it still makes me wonder why for example the gingerbread keyboard does not contain the dutch dictionary or why gtalk is in english , or the google ad account part is in English ? these are not parts that are modded I guess ? On gri54 they are all in dutch .. Maybe it is because they use gri40 as base ?

GRI40: USA
GRI54: Europe.
Okay , so Cyanogen will never have full dutch, because they are I believe from the usa ?
Why not use european base as a standard , it contains complete english ( us and uk) as well as a dozen other languages complete ...

Flashing a language, is it possible?

Hi everybody! I'm desperate and I need your help! I'm Italian, and I bought a T-Mobile G2x last week. I knew the original stock ROM wouldn't have italian lenaguage, but I thought to change it with a cooked one that usually are multilanguage. WRONG! Unfortunately for me I discovered that the only custom ROM with the italian language out there is the Cyanogen 7, but I'm not so confortable with it. So the question is : Is there a way to flash italian language in another custom or stock ROM different from cyanogen 7?
I'm going to translate everything by myself if there is a way to flash the thing and get it to work into the ROM. I will really appreciate some help. Thanks!
No. You would need to decompile and edit the framework and recompile it. Not wasy to do. Find a rom you like with Italian language already built in.
Theoretically any custom ROM based off cm7 would have Italian too. Eaglesblood, miui, our any other 2.3.7 are all based off the cm7 source.

[Q] Motorola Defy Languages

Hi everyone!
After long search I decided to ask you guys for help..
So, I got Defy, currently running on stock Froyo 2.2.2 (Central European Region) and everything works fine but this region's version doesn't have Croatian language.. I tried several other stock ROM-s, but none of those which I tried does not contain my language..
My question is - is there a stock ROM which contains croatian language and where can I find it?
I know that CyanogenMod has it, but it isn't so good - lot of options aren't correctly translated, or doesn't have a translation at all..
If there ain't no ROM with my lang. file, can I import it somehow, or translate some other language to mine and import it to my phone?
Thanks for suggestions, appreciate it!
Anyone?
MS2Ginger has a solid language pack. It's a gingerbread ROM though, but you can give it a try. I am also looking for a language pack to import afterwards but couldn't find any. Success
Look for MoreLocale 2 in Google Play Store
