Hi, today I updated my Xoom to Tiamat 2.0.0 "Katana" from 1.4.4 and test Quadrant Scores to see how much this kernel scores... And in Performance I score 2500 and in Interactive 2200... How much you score?. Because in 3.1 with 1.4.4 I have 3800 points...Sry I forgot to mention I´m using at 1700mhz
Pople still use quadrant? Why? Its more like a game.....

Hi,
Did you upgrade directly from 1.4.4 to 2.0 Katana or did you have to revert to a standard ROM first? I saw in the change log that it supports 3.2 only and then again in the installation release notes it indicates in big red letters that Katana 2.0.0 is only to be used with Android 3.2. Did you allow the OTA update apply first? My device reads 3615 in quadrant, clocked at 1505 on Tiamat 1.4.4. Thanks ! - Louis
I try with 3.2 v5 mod 1st from tiamat 1.4.4 and next reflash 3.1 original and then 3.2 v5 mod, next try with 3.1 stock, next 3.2 stock and then 3.5 v5 mod and allways with the same problem.
EDIT: Try returning to 3.1 then 3.2 OTA, Root manually and install tiamat 2.0.0 and have the same problem...
In performance at 1.7ghz I get 2800 Quadrant points with tiamat 2.0.0 GPU OC kernel
I'm getting very low score on quadrant as well...using Tiamat 2.0
Please... People with 3.2 and tiamat kernel, plz test it in quadrant to compare scores.
I've completed my update to 3.2 and then Katana 2.0.0, reset SetCPU to 1504 and reran quadrant. Am now seeing scroes around 2400-2600. Louis

I just got my gTab today, put VEGAN 5.1, added the SUPPL and flashed Pershoots Kernel.
I only get 1800-2100 on Quadrant. Ive heard of 3000+, anyone know how?
And if its a different kernel what do I need to whipe when switching?
First off, you're in the wrong forum, you need to read through the development forum for details on kernels and ROM's
I'm running Calkulin's ROM with one of Clemsyn's Kernels and score between 2200 and 2400 quadrant scores. Your scores will vary from kernel to kernel and ROM to ROM. Remember quadrant scores don't mean everything.
Also, if you read through the ROM and kernel threads, you'll likely see others post their quadrant scores with those ROMs.
I have a new gtab with a fresh install of Calkulins v1.1 g-tab rom and I bounce between 2400 and 2650 on Quadrant standard
I got 2320 with Calkulin's ROM and Clemsyn's #7 kernel.

Search the forum for 'data2loop', and mark well the pros and cons.
I flashed and install my cm7 yesterday.
Checked my quadrant score and I get 3500!
it is twice as much as the stock rom.
Which kernel should I use if I wanted to overclock?
hi i been trying to get 1.8 ghz speed on my sensation, but couldn't find anything that will show step by step.
right now i have revolutionary hd 3.0.3 rom. with revolutionary hd stock kernal. and in the setcpu i couldn't get more then 568 mhz speeed.
can anyone please explain and point me at the right direction.
thans
most likely you need setcpu to auto detect your overclock...its a setting, click menu and then device selection
1.8 ghz is very unstable and could damage your device
Dont use setcpu.
Its better to leave it "ondemand". Its much safer.

Firstly, if you're on the stock kernel you won't get 1.8GHz - max on stock is 1.2GHz, so you'll need a custom kernel to allow those speeds. For SetCPU, go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All - go to SetCPU and clear data. Then go into SetCPU and select Auto Detect. It should then give you up to 1.2GHz.
You should not need Setcpu if you use Android HD Revolution Rom because the rom come with that overclock on it. Go look yourself. You will need root however.

isn't it right, that the costum kernel just speed up ONE core of the cpu?

Previously that was the case, but Revolution HD 3.0.3 has a script you can flash that applies OC to both cores. Revolution HD 3.0.4 no longer needs the script flashed on top and comes with a custom kernel out of the gate running at the processors true speed of 1.5ghz.

You probably won't be able to clock that high anyway... You'll must likely reboot higher on anything higher than 1786 mhz....
Sent from my Tmous Revolution HD sensation.....
custom ROM + stock kernel = no OC
custom ROM + custom kernel = OC
basically you need to flash custom kernel, mike already posted in his thread for sensation custom kernel.
there is a kernel that support till 2Ghz, but i don't recommend though, your phone gonna be hot and the battery won't last long.
and on-demand governor is the best.
I got up to 1.7Ghz running stable using Android Revolution and an RCmix kernel i think it was. Battery drain was quite bad on that kernel though so switched to the stock Revolution HD kernel running at 1.56GHz, stable and good battery life
I am currently running Tiamat 2.2.2 Moray on my US Motorola Xoom Wifi - does this ROM already include the Odachi kernel 2.2.0 http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200063?
The overclocking options are already available in 2.2.2 Moray - so any need/benefit to loading the Odachi 2.2.0 kernel?
thanks
Nick

The Moray rom includes the slightly earlier Tachi kernel iirc, but you can just flash the Odachi kernel right over the rom. Try the overclocked gpu version...it's sooo smooth!
Thanks! I thought I was on the right track but couldn't find what I was looking for.
I will be flashing the overclocked gpu version shortly.....Thanks again!
Thanks also !
All of the 4.0+ rom has been crashing for me when I run games/youtube for more than 20 minutes.
So I reverted back to Honeycomb Tiamat 3.2.4 rom and it is extremely stable.
When I flashed a GPU OC kernel, it started to crash again. So, I think my Xoom can't handle GPU overclock.
I want to be on ICS+ but most of the roms out there has a GPU OC kernel.
Any recommendations on non GPU OC 4.0+ roms/kernels out there?

Try this Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1997434 and this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131580
