I am currently running Tiamat 2.2.2 Moray on my US Motorola Xoom Wifi - does this ROM already include the Odachi kernel 2.2.0 http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200063?
The overclocking options are already available in 2.2.2 Moray - so any need/benefit to loading the Odachi 2.2.0 kernel?
thanks
Nick

The Moray rom includes the slightly earlier Tachi kernel iirc, but you can just flash the Odachi kernel right over the rom. Try the overclocked gpu version...it's sooo smooth!
Thanks! I thought I was on the right track but couldn't find what I was looking for.
I will be flashing the overclocked gpu version shortly.....Thanks again!
Thanks also !

Hi, Am currently running Katana 2.0.0 with Android 3.2, but would like to go with the Tiamat Xoom ROM 1.1. Can anyone confirm that the two play nice together? Thanks, Louis

No. The tiamat katana is only for 3.2. It will bootloop you on 3.1. Word on the street is a new tiamat ROM is coming soon.

Thank You.
* Edit * Since I am looking to "back up" to Tiamat ROM 1.1, can I just flash both the 1.4.4 kernel and ROM via CWM? I'm asuming both will completely overlay what is there now? Thanks again !
Hi guys,
Im on a rooted 3.1 in UK with regular 3.1 update from Motorola.
I am just looking for a Kernel n not a rom hence dont prefer the Hammerhead rom
Will Launchpad 1.3.0 kernel work for me?
many thanks
If its not a 3g model then it would work. Make sure you grab the appropriate kernel for HC 3.1

thanks for your reply fella,
it is the 3g version (MZ601)
Any kernel suggestion for this model??
cheers
I have used Tiamat Kernel, the older 1.4.4 works fine with 3.1 EU ROM. Have this running a few hours and no problems yet. Can also mount my USB stick and external HDD, works fine so far.
If im not mistaking there's a 2.x tiamat kernel for 3.1 as well.
I have a 3g xoom euro as well. Its running 3.2 though.

oh, and trinity does too. it supports voodoo and all the other nexus s goodies available. plus, its by far the fastest kernel(or most battery efficient, depending on which trinity kernel you chose).

CFS BUILDS:
Netarchy Nexus - 1.3.7-cfs-2.3.4 (For stock 2.3.4 roms)
Netarchy Nexus - 1.3.7-cfs-2.3.4-universal (Universal for non-stock 2.3.4 roms)
BFS BUILDS:
Netarchy Nexus - 1.3.7-bfs-2.3.4 (For stock 2.3.4 roms)
Netarchy Nexus - 1.3.7-bfs-2.3.4-universal (Universal for non-stock 2.3.4 roms)
whats the difference betweem CFS and BFS? is it ok to flash a 2.3.4 stable kernal on my rom thats 2.3.5?
please excuse the noobism. very familiar with the vibrant but picked up this nexus and learning right now.

its ok to flash a 2.3.4 kernel onto 2.3.5, provided that your phone boots it. and if it doesnt, just flash another. heres where the trinity kernels are. they come in many flavors, from 1ghz and up. there is also a "teuv" kernel, trinity extra undervolted. its at 880mhz, and made for battery saving. dont let the 880mhz scare you, its faster than many 1.2ghz kernels and much more battery efficient http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12931657&postcount=1
thanks for the help boss.

Can you overclock by just rooting the xoom or do you need a custom rom / kernal installed as well ?

You need a custom ROM or kernel at the least. All the current offerings by Team Tiamat and Team Rogue include the option to overclock.
I am currently running Tiamat 2.2.2 Moray with Tachi kernel on my Xoom. However I saw solarnz's thread with the Odachi kernel and am curious: should I install this over the Tachi kernel? Is it better? Why? How are they different?

Tachi is great, but Odachi is even better...I find the overclocking is more stable at higher settings, and benchmarks are better. Boot up is somewhat longer on Odachi, though.
