[Q] Can a mod move a question please? - General Questions and Answers

I asked the forum moderator a couple of days ago to move this thread, but I've noticed he's not been online for over a month so I guess he doesn't know.
Would another mod be kind enough to move it to off-topic for me please?

TIA

Please ?

Bumping has, at this point, become shameless.

Don't worry. I'll just duplicate the thread

Hey there,
Thread moved as requested. Feel free to PM me in future if you need something similar again
Cheers.

Why are my posts, threads being moved, erased, changed categories etc?

I have posted to these forums for a long time and I pay good attention to searching first and asking last. I also post in appropriate forums where others have discussed similar items.
Last night I posted a new thread about small text size in pie 6.1 on my fuze and it go moved from a new thread to some rom dev thread.
Can someone help me understand what I am doing to cause this?
huh?
can you send a link... and describe exactly what happened please?
Here is my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3302692&postcount=672
However, I clicked NEW THREAD not reply or quote.
well then, it probably happened because it was asked to post questions in a dedicated thread - as you can see from the thread's title.
Alright, thank you for your input. Seems like it inhibits answers without being able to start a thread in the appropriate area, instead my post got moved to a ROM dev thread and burried under 1600 posts.
Is there a problem with the community and now push back on allowing questions?
not at all. all questions regarding specific devices can go either here or in their dedicated sections..
but you should read the rules.. if there is a dedicated thread for questions, members are asked to use it so that the forum is not flooded.
there are so many new threads everyday we can't control it anymore.. so we're trying to collect.

IPMART

Morning just noticed that IPMart was down, anyone know why?
Any good alternatives?
Thanks
Graham
I know im trying to go on and i cant
+1
Snifff,
The same for me....
Any info ?
Thread closed. The two reasons for me closing this thread are:
a. This thread is about a widely known warez forum.
b. Posted in the wrong section.

If your thread title starts with [Q] It belongs in the Q and A section

I didnt want to post this in any particular thread because i dont want to flame on anybody, but if your thread is a question about functionality, it does not belong in the general section. Please post things where they belong to help keep the place tidy. This sections should be for general discussion, not really troubleshooting. Thanks guys.
I have thought this (or similar things) over the last few days. More and more people seem to be posting very similar threads, and repeating questions that have been already asked (& answered) - not to mention threads that don't really seem to have a purpose.
As a fellow noob, I suggest that we don't clutter up the board with duplicate issues and things posted in the wrong forum. I don't want to wear out our welcome. We need xda!
Is there an easy way to move a thread if you have already posted it in general rather than Q&A?
I don't know if it's the same here, but at most boards I'm on you can ask someone to report your post and leave a message requesting that the thread be moved by the mod.
Usually you can't report your own posts, is why you have to ask someone else.
I'm bumping this so it hits the top again.

i need help, from you guys!

(You can delete this post when it is not legal to ask, i am sorry then)
Hello all!
I would like to ask everyone if you guys can help me with something. 25th of august was my birthday and my parents want to give me a new phone for my birthday(My note 3 needs replacement baaadddd).
Now i have to choice myself to choose which phone i want. since i still want a good performer but don't want to rip off my parents, i chose the OnePlus Two.
Here get's the interesting part. I need a invite to buy this phone. and for that i need to get as low in the charts as possible.
I would like to ask if you guys could subscibe yourself to the list via this link: https://oneplus.net/nl/invites?kolid=IC0LDA
This will help me ALOT to get lower in the list. and you will also get lower in the list! Win Win situation!
For everyone that wants to do this with me, many thanks already!
Kind Regards,
Paul
Mod Edit
15. Keep threads / posts on-topic
Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is that your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
