Any info ?

Thread closed. The two reasons for me closing this thread are:
a. This thread is about a widely known warez forum.
b. Posted in the wrong section.

Where did my post move to?

OK, so I'm a new member with a new HTC Fuze. I registered, read through the instructions, searched the threads and wiki, found one answer but still had another so I posted a new thread. I see it has been moved - to a sub-forum? To the trash? If it was moved to another forum, how do I find it? I searched for threads with my username and found none.
is this it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3353757#post3353757
you can look up all of your statistics and recent posts if you click on your name
Yes, this is it. So where should I have posted and/or what was wrong with what I did post?
Prior to posting, I'd expand my search to include all of xda not just the raphael forums since this error might occur in other devices. Since this is most likely a software issue, I would have also put it in the software sub-forum and if possible a posted in preexisting thread which discusses your software.
Edit: Search the entire xda forum for "ip camera," i think i saw some threads that might assist you. If you find a fix, would you also edit your post in the Q&A section to help other members?
I'll do it! Thanks for the help!
Thanks to all for helping him out, since the question is answered i'm closing this.
Also, just another note, if you "saw" your thread was moved, if you clicked on the Title, it would have "redirected" you to its new location.

post in developer forum

Can someone tell me the reason why i need 10 posts to post in developer forum?
Greets
Probably because they don't want people creating accounts and spamming those forums right off the bat. Keeping the dev forums more focused on getting things working than general chat and I need help etc. Just my view on it.
I thought it's stupid too, but after I realised how stupid people can be, I think it's a good idea. Just answer for a few questions here and you will have the 10 really soon.
thanks for posting this question so I can add another post to sum up to 10 or more posts to finally be able to participate where I would like to Rhobuntu on HTC TP2.
So silly - now they move from Ubuntu to Debian squeeze which is what I have running on my computer and next week I should have an HTC TP2 available for development only. Just - I cannot post !
Oh and I forgot the 5 minutes rule...

There is a five minute rule to? Thought I read all the rules.
ok, i've got 10 posts now.
i'm still not allowed to post there! why? i really need to ask some questions there!

Don't tell me that!!
I've been posting around Q&A to reach those 10 posts because I want to ask and help on dev forums... :-(
Well, almost there, let me see what topic I can participate and then, if I keep being "blocked" off-of the dev forums...
There are very good reasons why the 10 post rule has been set up, a couple of which have been said above.
Why do you need to post in the dev section anyway? Are you a developer? If you arent and you create a new thread (question) it will probably get moved here.
If you are asking a question, the Q&A is the place
#justsayin
is right to by like this
I meant NOT right
I have 10 posts, why I still cannot post in the dev forum? need to aks about my issue

Because your ten posts were not helpful, they were spammy. And if you have a question, ask it in Q&A NOT Development. How hard is that to understand?
well, the question concerns a curtain app, so I would like to ask in the dev forum , where this ALREADY HAVE BEEN discussed in a special thread.
You might find that some of us here are quite knowledgable and therefore your answer could be easily obtained here without the need to post in the dev forums
Why dont you give it a go and ask here ?
Also, if your question has already been asked, there is in all probability an answer there; so eed to re-post the same question?
I can understand the rule but not your argument. What if he has been using an app that has its own topic in the dev forum and he wants to post a bug report or ask a question that hasn't been asked before. If it's about that specific thing it should go in that specific thread.

yes, you have a valid point. However i was trying to put forward the notion that far too many people post in the dev sections without properly researching first, hence the requirement for the 10 post rule.
Of course the OP may have a very genuine bug to report, if this is the case then can the OP let me know if he still cant postin dev and ill look into it.

not 100% true. I mean, when you use a ROM sometimes you want to exchange ideas with other users, make questions and even report bugs / make suggestions. you may not be a developer but in some way, everyone can be a beta tester! it doesn't make sense to star opening Q&A for CyanogenMod7 if you have a proper place in Developers Forum... And that's why I had to answer 10 things around (useful answers!) to use that section of the forums...
by the way, i don't know if the posts have to be useful, but i had access immediately to the dev forums...
hi, i'm a new user from spain, i need 10 posts to write on developers forums, where is in that forum the noobs place! thanks
I think it's a good idea. Learn your way around before posting/rambling on a devs forum. Think before you Speak.
well guess the builder of this forum tried to keep people stay here longer...or what else?

The all new Q&A SubForum

So what exactly determines what belongs in the Q&A subforum? Clearly 90 % of general subforum give or take a few %, are questions of some sort. I understand when one is started with [Q] in title, it should belong there. Problem is half of the threads moved there do not. Some had a ? in title, some didnt. Others looked no different than any other thread in general that didnt get moved with the same sort of questions.
I tried updating and ran into a problem anyone know what im doing wrong?
Anyone know how to get netflix? i tried searching and found nothing on it.
I had a problem rooting using bubbys 1 click not sure what the problem is, anyone know what i need to do?
clearly they are all still questions and they are in general subforum, instead of Q&A. Others of the same nature were moved to Q&A

Most of the threads that were still active were moved. As time goes anything that is a question of any sort should be post in Q&A and will be moved there or closed. Moving the hundreds of threads is a large task and takes alot of time so please bear with us as this is put into effect.
snappy response thx

Not a Prob, Question answered thread closed

Xda premium issues! Mods, read before closing.

A while back I opened a thread about XDA app problems I was having. The thread was closed and I was directed to another thread. Well, it's not possible for me to view my thread that was closed to find the thread I was directed too which is my problem and my point for creating this thread. I searched with the XDA app and also couldn't find it that way. Just wanted to state this so a mod don't swoop in and close my thread before I receive help for my problem. Ive done my part, its the app that is causing problems.
Now, onto my problem. Whenever I click more, profile and then try to find all the threads by me, it says "this User has no topic". When I click all post, it says "this User has no post". It also does this when I click others profile. Is anyone else having this problem?
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. I usually only lurk the dev and marketplace section so I'm not sure where to post app related issues (especially the website's app)
Again, its the app that isn't functioning the way it should which leaves me with no choice but to create this thread. Thank you in advance for any help.
Mods please allow a little time for my question to be answered before locking this. You guys are too quick on the "lock thread" button sometimes

I am having the same issues, it also force closes half the time I try and open a pm....
Link to your original thread.
Plus this should be in the About xda-developers.com forum.

As stated above. There is already a thread about issues with the app. Just because an thread is closed doesn't mean it can't be read.
This was also a known issue for a while.

[FOR MODS] Q&A Best ROM/Kernel Threads

Hi,
I know this isn't directly related to the Galaxy S4, but very often I see many 'Best ROM/Kernel' threads in the Q&A section here. In the i9100 (Galaxy S2), a forum mod created a sticky which can be viewed in the Q&A section. It clearly states that 'Best ROM/Kernel' threads are not allowed, and that people have to test for themselves.
Now, I know this will not solve the problem entirely, but those of us that take the time to look at the stickies will know why these 'Best ROM/Kernel' threads are not allowed. Also, someone will no doubt post the XDA forum rules here, but for simplicity and to tackle confusion with new members, I believe it would be helpful if a sticky like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612881 was created and placed in the Q&A section.
Edit: If a mod wishes a sticky to be created, I will happily edit this thread to explain why 'Best ROM/Kernel' threads are not allowed, and this could be stickied and moved to the Q&A section.
Two examples in the last two days (many more but I think it gets the point across):
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427267
2) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428727
Thanks.

Yep, couldn't agree more. I've asked for it to be done.
Thing is, stickys are largely ignored (Check the average view count) - its the same in the s3 forum
Just report the thread when it appears

That is completely true, which is kind of annoying. As for your reporting the thread idea, every time a thread is reported and closed, it is highly likely the OP is very confused, 'why was my thread closed? This forum is for ROM's, what's wrong about asking for a good ROM?!' and the problem only becomes worse. At least if the thread is closed, it should only make sense if they are directed to a sticky or thread which explains why it has been closed, instead of a simple 'no best ROM/Kernel threads!'
Feedback appreciated.

No response from any mods? If mods do not wish for a sticky to be created, then let me know and you can close this thread. A response would be appreciated.

IMHO, "Best ROM/Kernel Thread" isn't allowed here. It may downgrade the level of Devs.
For Q/A thread we already have the same in Q/A Section.

Hi,
Moderators should never close a thread without leaving an short explanation behind to avoid the "confused noob" situation. I underlined "should never" because I am perfectly aware that guideline is (unfortunately) not followed by all moderators, however, it is followed by most of us.

It has only just been brought to my attention. If you want a thread noticed by moderators, it is best to report it and leave a report message asking us to read the thread.
As for sticking this thread, I'm not sure that its necessary - Q8 in the FAQ thread by malybru in the Q&A section deals with "Best ROM/Kernel" type questions and I have also added a short note in the Moderator Introduction thread stuck in general at the bottom with the other posting guidelines about best ROM/kernel threads.
Ultimately no matter what we do, as the userbase of XDA in general gets dumber with more people moving to smartphones and seeing XDA as a place to make their phone "kewl", these threads are going to become more commonplace and as noted by DSA, if the stickies aren't read, there isn't much anyone can do about it really apart from reporting the threads to moderators.

Thanks for your detailed response, and to be honest I have to agree. As the smartphone community grows, so does the amount of noobs on this forum, and it will be near impossible to combat this. Thanks for your reply, if you wish you can close this thread now.
