OK, so I'm a new member with a new HTC Fuze. I registered, read through the instructions, searched the threads and wiki, found one answer but still had another so I posted a new thread. I see it has been moved - to a sub-forum? To the trash? If it was moved to another forum, how do I find it? I searched for threads with my username and found none.
is this it?

you can look up all of your statistics and recent posts if you click on your name
Yes, this is it. So where should I have posted and/or what was wrong with what I did post?
Prior to posting, I'd expand my search to include all of xda not just the raphael forums since this error might occur in other devices. Since this is most likely a software issue, I would have also put it in the software sub-forum and if possible a posted in preexisting thread which discusses your software.
Edit: Search the entire xda forum for "ip camera," i think i saw some threads that might assist you. If you find a fix, would you also edit your post in the Q&A section to help other members?
I'll do it! Thanks for the help!
Thanks to all for helping him out, since the question is answered i'm closing this.
Also, just another note, if you "saw" your thread was moved, if you clicked on the Title, it would have "redirected" you to its new location.

I have posted to these forums for a long time and I pay good attention to searching first and asking last. I also post in appropriate forums where others have discussed similar items.
Last night I posted a new thread about small text size in pie 6.1 on my fuze and it go moved from a new thread to some rom dev thread.
Can someone help me understand what I am doing to cause this?
huh?
can you send a link... and describe exactly what happened please?
Here is my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3302692&postcount=672
However, I clicked NEW THREAD not reply or quote.
well then, it probably happened because it was asked to post questions in a dedicated thread - as you can see from the thread's title.
Alright, thank you for your input. Seems like it inhibits answers without being able to start a thread in the appropriate area, instead my post got moved to a ROM dev thread and burried under 1600 posts.
Is there a problem with the community and now push back on allowing questions?
not at all. all questions regarding specific devices can go either here or in their dedicated sections..
but you should read the rules.. if there is a dedicated thread for questions, members are asked to use it so that the forum is not flooded.
there are so many new threads everyday we can't control it anymore.. so we're trying to collect.
So, should questions and answers remain in a single thread as they are now, or are they better of in their own Q&A subforum, with a separate thread for each topic?
Yes I know this is a new thread but I think it qualifies for one
this is gonna get merged into that big thread!!!
i think it should be a sub forum because:
1) the links don't redirect you to the post, it only takes u to the thread, which is huge
2) sometimes the answer is 10 pages behind the question, completely out of order
There is already an extire Q&A subforum. There are a lot of very wonderful users helping out over there. We probably wouldn't even need a Q&A thread here if people would just post their questions in a thread that already addresses the topic, or actually search before starting a new thread. Either way, this topic has been addressed before, and we're not gonna add device specific Q & A subforums at this point.
It's not hard to see which way this poll's gonna go!
It realy should be a sub forum, but it don't need to be a device spesific subforum. As long as the question have a tag for what device it's about.
The problem with the long Q&A thread is that it's impossible to search up anything in it. You can search and find someone that have asked the question you wanted to ask, but there is no way of searching where the answer is.
I do see some benefit in one long Q&A thread, that is to ask stupid question that most other forum users know, but if it's a more difficult question that only a handfull of member can answer it needs to have a own thread.
As it was pointed out one of the most important thing to do is to make sure everyone makes good topics for their threads. If someone make a thread called "Help, it doesn't work" they should be banned for like a week.

There already is a Q & A subforum, so i'm not sure why everyone keeps asking for one. As for the Q & A Thread, I think people forget that it's not intended to be a resource like the wiki. I created it as a safe place where users can ask the same silly questions as many times as they need to. Most of the time if users had really searched then they would't be creating new threads constantly anyway, but rather they'd find the answer or post in another thread on a related topic. I think a lot of the confusion is caused by people thinking that the Q&A thread is supposed to a searchable resource. IMO if the answer isn't really eays to find in the Q&A thread you should just ask it again. I have tried to monitor the responses to make sure people aren't flaming users for now searching, as that thread is a flame free zone.
So I went to go reply to a post and help someone in one of the development sections and notice I could not due to my post count. Then I checked to see if there was an introduction area to say hi in. Nope. So I looked for forum rules to find where I could go to raise my post count. No forum rules. Huh. Q&A section, I think I'll go ask where the forum rules are. Noticed the sticky and read the Q&A sticky. Oh great! A link to forum rules. Too bad it links to HTC Hero CDMA section with some post about a windows phone 7 app. Okay, time to post and let you guys know the forum rules are missing. *Goes to start thread* Search box pops up with the forum rules. It works. Finally. Now I have a real question: Why was that so hard?
EDIT: Browsing a little further, I have found several "forum rules". Hmm. Which one is "THE" forum rules? Any chance of consolidating them? I'm going to assume the one in Announcements is the most up-to-date.
EDIT 2: I just realized that to the inexperienced, the title of this thread may imply that these are the forum rules. THEY ARE NOT. Find them here.
I am running CleanRom. This issue also happened when I was running Venom XL. Whenever I turn the screen off or the timer turns it off I lose both data and cell service. If it has only been a few minutes it turns back on. If it is a longer time I have to restart phone.
Any suggestions?
A suggestion? One word: search. This is probably the millionth time this has been discussed, in the ROM threads, and in the q&a section you're posting in. So clearly you haven't bothered to search/read.

Use the search feature in any Sense 5 ROM thread and you'll find the answer you're looking for. And search before posting in future.

I have searched... Did you really take the time to be a jerk and not help someone out? Amazing... I will look elsewhere.
You didn't search properly then, this is the single most discussed issue in our forum by far. Do I really need to search for you to show even a fraction of the posts that discuss the solution? Like I said, it's been discussed extensively in every Sense 5 ROM thread. Plus there are numerous threads dedicated to this subject in this q&a section.
PS. Calling someone a jerk would be classed as abusive and/or flaming, both things that are also against the rules. I'm not a jerk for pointing out that you didn't search well enough to find the most talked about topic in our forum.

@Jklsr55 there's a guy who asked almost the same question in this section a couple posts down. If you searched, you wouldn't have been called out man.
At the same time, I'll tell you the solution to fixing it, which is in every single sense 5 rom thread: Update to 2.15 firmware.
Don't make a new thread or ask how to. I'm telling you what to do to fix it, so that you can search and find the steps yourself

Well, again, I did search. But I searched from the main page. In was not aware you could search different sub categories. Kick me off, do what you like. But do not tell me what or what not to do.
Nobody wants to kick you off, all we want is for users to adhere to the rules so the forum is a better place for everybody. We certainly can tell you what to do though, when telling you what to do is to abide by the rules that you agreed to when signing up for this site. Hopefully a lesson has been learned today. I apologise for the level of frustration in my post earlier, but I'll certainly be one of the first people to offer you assistance if you have problems in future. Please just read XDA rules and abide by them.

The OP needs to settle down with the immature attitude. I have asked a lot of silly questions myself and have gotten plenty of help in this forum.

timmaaa isn't "telling you" to do anything, aside from following the forum rules. Trust me, there isn't a question that you can come up with, that hasn't already been asked and answered here multiple times. Its not the intent to be rude, but the forum would quickly be flooded with the same questions being asked over and over, rendering the forum close to useless.
You also could have tried reading the Frequently Asked Questions thread (sticky at the top of this section), that timmaaa takes the time to maintain (see Question 26):
