How do you look up your radio version in a rooted stock installation of SenseUI?

Thanks, but which one of the settings is the radio? I'm not seeing anything with an MR1, MR2 or MR2.5.

Radio is the Baseband version.
You would have to check other posts to see which numbers correspond with which baseband version.

Hello when looking at the minimum requirements for the OTA I saw that my software version on my phone is older then the needed to get the upgrade. So far no OTA notification and manual check fails every time. Any help on what I should do?

Root it and enjoy. There's an HTC One X thread about routing without unlocking the boatloader, but it doesn't work on the latest ota update.

I don't know what software version you have, doesn't match any of these. I would take it to a TMO store and say WTF?
It's just super weird. I never altered the software or anything. It just came like this which messes with my ability to update.

Don't even try to touch the new update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received a replacement phone with this software and haven't been able to update either I will take back to T-Mobile and ask wth

The replacement phones, and very few initially shipped phones come with 0.15 baseband.
Those devices won't update to the new OTA. You have to first find the TMOUSS RUU for 0.16 in the development section and run it. Then when your baseband is updated to 0.16 you will be able to update to the new OTA.
edit - at least this is what happened with me. maybe it works on someone else's.

What software number does your phone say it is on? If it has the R2 in it I don't think you'll be able to get the update. It's different than stock. Stock doesn't have the R2 in it.

Hey, I'm in the Los Angeles Area on the T-Mobile network, I was just curious whether there is a better radio for my phone?
I'm running
Paranoid Android v20,
And my radio is:
RADIO-11.23.3504.07_M2
Is there one I should install that's better?
Thanks.
I'm Tmobile and live about 40 minutes from L A. My radio is 1176A350400P_1125A3504.31_M. it's a great signal always 4G. Give it a try. Hope this helps

Hi,
Go to the market and get "Getril"
It will show you the best combination of radio/ril for your area.

Kay, so I downloaded GetRil and it recommended a new RIL based on the Baseband I have. No mention of where I live.
So now that my Baseband and RIL match. What's the best Baseband for my area? (Since I can update the RIL to match with GetRil) I heard elsewhere that flashing the T-Mobile Radio gives us T-Mobile users better signal. Is this true? Or would flashing 1176A350400P_1125A3504.31_M like realsis recommends be better? I have no idea. Thanks for helping me get my Baseband and RIL to match though! Now I just need to figure out what the best Baseband is for Los Angeles.

Hi,
There is no right and wrong here.
The best radio is the one that works.
You may need to experiment with different ones, including the T-MOUS one.

Alright thanks. Where would I download them? And is there some sort of benchmark app for the radio? Or how would I know I have the best one when I do?

Yes I'm s-off. The only thing I'm not yet is sim unlocked. But that doesn't matter one iota.

Well. I'm getting 2-4Mbps with my current radio. So I think I'll leave it alone for now. I don't want to brick it. Thanks for the help! Both of you.

Loving my HTC One X so far. I have it unlocked, activated on T-Mobile, and running the ViperXL ROM and reception is less than stellar at my house. My wife has the exact same phone (not sure of radio at the moment) and gets 3 bars when I get no service.
The baseband version currently shows as ATT 2.20 (0.19as.32.09.11_2_10.105.32.25). Is it acceptable to flash the HTC ATT 3.18 (0.24p.32.09.06_10.130.32.34) ? Not sure of the difference between the HTC ATT and the ATT radios. I'm in the US, if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance!!!

The letters "HTC" don't make any difference. They are all from HTC. The difference is one is a later version. Country doesn't make a difference either. The proper radio for your location is often just trial and error. So yes, flashing a different radio is certainly worth a try.
Also, you need to be s-off to flash radios.
Thanks for the information. I've updated the radio to the exact same version as my wife's, but coverage hasn't changed.
Is it possible the ROM/Kernel is to blame? I'm going to test with EternittyProject's CM 10.2 ROM and Kernel to see if that helps anything.
Be careful because flashing a rom for the wrong phone will NOT help your radio issue

Are you stock? If so you will be notified when there is an update. If you unlocked search the firmware thread for the correct you have.
No I'm rooted but as I know different baseband with same version of stock ROM looks like have better battery life results so I want baseband from Poland branded baseband. But can't find it anywhere
Baseband = radio [that's old named]
