Hello when looking at the minimum requirements for the OTA I saw that my software version on my phone is older then the needed to get the upgrade. So far no OTA notification and manual check fails every time. Any help on what I should do?

Root it and enjoy. There's an HTC One X thread about routing without unlocking the boatloader, but it doesn't work on the latest ota update.

I don't know what software version you have, doesn't match any of these. I would take it to a TMO store and say WTF?
It's just super weird. I never altered the software or anything. It just came like this which messes with my ability to update.

The replacement phones, and very few initially shipped phones come with 0.15 baseband.
Those devices won't update to the new OTA. You have to first find the TMOUSS RUU for 0.16 in the development section and run it. Then when your baseband is updated to 0.16 you will be able to update to the new OTA.
edit - at least this is what happened with me. maybe it works on someone else's.

What software number does your phone say it is on? If it has the R2 in it I don't think you'll be able to get the update. It's different than stock. Stock doesn't have the R2 in it.

Install the Radio from OTA_Ville_U_TMOUS_1.84.531.2 from here...

Stupid question? but, I'm guessing that you tried a reboot. Trying adding yourself back onto your mobile network, it could be a provider issue?
If you phone is not network unlocked you could try someone else SIM from another network, just to rule your provider out!?
Hey all,
Before making this thread, I DID search, maybe not closely enough...
Anyways, just wondering if anyone has heard of when Bell/Virgin Mobile will be getting the 2.3.4 OTA for the Sensation? It seems like every carrier except Bell has been given this update.
They seemed pretty quick with 2.33? I'd imagine we wouldn't take much longer. How would you update if you're on Telus; do you still get the Bell OTAs by virtue of using a bell phone?

Still on stock rom, BTW what rom are you guys using in Toronto with rogers, any recommendations?

I'm with Bell on stock 2.33 and I'm puzzled at the lack of the update too. They came out pretty quick with the last OTA and aren't we already on 2.35 or so?
For the way they're constantly advertising this phone, I'd expected more timely updates at least for now.

Im guessing its gonna be a while for us Canadians we always get things last. Its probably gonna be november or december.
I previously had 2.3.4 on my phone. I reverted to 2.3.3 when going to the shipped pyramid ROM; for TMOUS (I'm just experimenting a bit.) Anyway, I've checked the phone and it indicates that I do, indeed, have 2.3.3. But when I go to check for HTC software updates, it tells me:
Your phone is up to date
There are no updates available for your phone
I know 2.3.4 is available. Any ideas why I can't manually update it? Is there something I'm forgetting to do?
Which RUU did you flash? There are two in the thread, flash the second and then you will be able to do the 2.3.4 update.
I made this blunder once myself, good luck.

Haha! Yep, it looks like I downloaded the first one (I didn't even look for or see the second one.) Thanks. I will give it a try.
See, I made sure that I flashed the second one, but when I check I'm not getting anything. Thoughts?
I am also having this same issue, I have no idea which RUU I should use to go back to stock. I have a standard Sensation on Vodafone. My current Android version shows as 2.3.3 and the software version shows as 1.24.161.1
I downloaded the RUU_Pyramid_Vodafone_UK_1.24.161.1_Radio_10.39.9007.00P_10.11.9007.09_M2_release_190798_signed.exe as that seemed to make sense but should I be using another?
Any help would be immensely appreciated!
I'm new to this site, just registered. Sorry i'm a noob!! So I have had the Blue Tmobile One S since august but sold that one to my friend and bought a black one from a guy and said it's from solavei, So I try it and everything seems legit except It's running Android 4.0.3 and Sense 4.0. So I go to menu>Software updates>check now to see if I can get the OTA they had in September but it says I am currently up to date. I checked my sotfware information and it said my software number was 1.84.1135.17 71ORD. I look online to see if I can some how download it and it told me that if I don't have these two other numbers and had something else then the warranty is void and I can't get updates. So My big question is how can I change my software number? Do I have to like root my phone? Then some how unroot it back to a different stock ROM? I'm open to suggestions and I would really like an answer thanks!!

If you're on 1.84 I would not update via OTA. You probably have a 1.06 or .09 hboot, which will be extremely nice for you.
I would suggest unlocking your bootloader via HTC and installing TrickDroid if you want stock. There arr several guides, including a all in one tool to help you with the process.

You can try typing *#*#CHECKIN#*#* into the dialer and then checking for updates.
Or you can find a T-Mobile US 2.35 RUU and running that. However it will be more difficult to flash ROMs once you have upgraded if you want to do that later on.

I tried that and all it did was say in my notifications "checkin succeeded" and nothing else happend.. so idk about that. I'm not really looking to root my phone, all I really want to do is have my phone run on the latest software and get OTA updates if possible. But if I need to root it, I will. And for the second thing, I'd have to root my phone to run the 2.35 right?

After "checkin succeeded" you should then check for updates in Settings, as I mentioned earlier.
You seem to be running an "ORD" build which is basically like a Beta test for the latest software. RD stands for Research & Development. The latest 2.35 RUU should work without rooting.
However that will upgrade your HBOOT and make it more difficult if you decide to root later on.

The update was for HOX in Asia, not HOXL. If you haven't gotten any update prompt, that means there is no update. What's the confusing part?
I agree with timmaaa...it makes no sense staying on the stock ROM. if you're not doing it because of warranty, the HOXL has been out since June 2012 which means they won't help you hardware-wise

There have been updates released for the HOXL for HTC in Asia, they were among the first to be released, refer to the RUU & OTA thread. Even though the phone has been out since May 2012, if the user has recently bought the phone he's still under warranty.

Unfortunately, that doesn't really mean anything. Folks have had issues checking for updates, when an update is known to exist. And no RUUs exist yet for Android 4.2.2/Sense 5, so you cannot update manually by RUU (which would be the sure solution). Some folks have had success with doing a factory reset (somehow makes the update come through) but its not guaranteed by any means. Or you can try to download the flash the OTA manually with stock recovery (not personally knowledgeable about the process).
