Preferred Music Player? - T-Mobile LG G2x

Please share your preferred Music Player, and explain why. I use DouvleTwist due to it's clean interface, and smooth navigation. I also use the Widgets on my Homescreen.

i use Zplayer, always loved the zune theme and artwork is awesome. lockscreen replacement very useful also.

I tried quite a few out there, and I found that the Android version of Winamp was everything I needed.

I like a few of them, hard to decide between them:
Zplayer
Songbird
PowerAmp

I just use the Google music updated player, I've synced about 5000 songs to my google music account already so I figure, whatever.

+1 for PowerAmp. The EQ & customization options are the best I've used so far. Doubletwist doesn't work well with the G2x

I use the ubermusic beta
That's what she said...

I just switched to UberMusic Beta... It's amazing. You can find the APK in the Android Apps Section

To me POWERAMP is the best music app you'll find on an Android phone. The sound quality is superb coming out of my Panasonic Surround sound.

hey guys, for you poweramp users how do the tweaking features (EQ, BASS, etc.) compare to DSP Manager?

You can actually utilize both poweramp and dsp manager. What I like about poweramp is that it's simple, yet advanced audio settings.

i was thinking of going back to EB Froyo, which doesn't have the DSP Manager so was wondering how they compared. it's actually one of the reason i went to a GB rom...

poweramp is good, but I think playerpro is better. I use them both.

Fedes UberMusic. Because it remind me of my zune. I love my zune.

if you use ubermusic, download and use these skins: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tcaffrey.metroskin&feature=search_result

best mp3 program ?

Just wondering what the best mp3 and flac player for android is. Preferably free.
PowerAmp hands down. Plays mp3 and flac better than freaking VLC/Audacity (maybe) on the computer.

Best Mp3
1. Double-twist will allow you to upload and sync with you android phone/tablet and is a great music manger/player with a great ui and look
2. Winamp is great and one of best in that it is extremely easy to understand and use, just dump the music files in a folder on your sd card and it will find them.
there are tons of music apps out there try them and see what works for you!!!!

I agree with frub3nz, it's by far the best, even better than WinAMP. Only two bad things about it, it is a little quieter compared to WinAMP, and it only lasts 15 days as a trial version. Other than that though it's awesome.
Poweramp. It's worth it

Poweramp! It plays FLAC!! Can't go wrong.
is there any other mp3 players other than poweramp that show lyrics?

MIUI music player!
power amp cost me the best 3euros i've ever spent, it's just a fantastic player.
I really like PlayerPro. It has a much cleaner UI with the same features as PowerAmp, including the equalizer, lyrics, album art, etc. and it's only 5 bucks.
Sent from my MIUI SCH-i500
Another vote for PowerAMP. If you take the time to set up the equalizer and pre-amp correctly, you won't believe the sound quality. Worth spending money on.
Nothing can touch Poweramp. Best on android.

I've been using Songbird... its not the greatest, but the scrubber works while WinAmps doesn't. If you want something that just plays music, it works. Next week I may be using another music app though, I go through them often. Haha
I've yet to find any music app that matches iOS though, sadly. Android really lacks in audiobook and podcast support.
I don't need any of the other bulks apps give, like sync. I've put all of that on Amazon now, so why do I need a sync program anymore?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
PowerAmp by a mile IMHO and it's excellent through Bluetooth stereo.
Another Vote for Poweramp...hands down the best music app for android
I've been using instinctiv, simple ui, detects music on sd card and fast.

Mortplayer is excellent and allows to play folders (nice for those who hate tags and arrange their albums in folders). It also displays lyrics through an add-on.
It is free and it is an excellent application. (I had it since windows mobile!)
Will miui music app work on oxygen rom on htc desire ?
poweramp....duh?
like many others my upvote is for poweramp just bought it today really is the best
I like PlayerPro... has a lot of functionality including an excellent EQ and personally I prefer the look and feel of it compared to poweramp..

[Q] Does anyone know a good music app with a nice UI?

I am currently using Apollo music player , but in starting to get bored of it. I'm looking for a new music app that looks really nice. I also like features like album art downloading and maybe even lyrics search, but they aren't necessary. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance

I can't recommend PlayerPro enough. it has a great UI, great features, a DSP pack, and great themes.
though if you want somethign a bit more lightweight (or somehting free) i also really like Google Play Music.
doubleTwist Pro. AirSync, Music Lover (EQ and HD album art download) and podcasts.

+1.
I personally don't like PowerAmp at all. PlayerPro has all the features that PowerAmp has but in a much nicer package.
If you want a free music player, then I suggest DoubleTwist player.
I'm using winamp. Not bad.
N7PLAYER

Try all of the above, then try uber music! Then download the zune theme, and you will NOT find any music app more smooth than this one. Period.

I did a thorough research and wasn't satisfied. So I went about testing the music apps all by myself to get a clear idea. On a neck to neck comparison between Google Music, double twist, power player and player pro, player pro music clarity is stunning, especially when added with its dsp pack and perhaps if you also push the beats audio, there's no comparison at all!

[APP] Music Player with controls over lock screen?

Looking for an alternative to ³ music player that has the ability to change the song while the phone is locked. ³ has been freezing up on me lately. Any good alternatives?
Player pro, it costs but it has a volume button to change or even shake lol
Its LockScreen is sweet! Even with swype to change
Yup! Its a CMX Evo 4G LTE!
It'll check it out, I also found Poweramp which is pretty sweet!

Everyone stop! Try Jet Audio..
I have tried every music app there is out there whether it be PowerAmp, PlayerPro, Winamp, N7 and other minor players.. but I find Jet Audio mind blowing, fast, feature packed and bug free! Also its got lockscreen controls as you wish.

[APP] Omich Player - Alternative for Apollo and Play Music

Well, sorry if this is known to all, but it was worth sharing!
Omich Player is, well, just a player, but it is a blend of Google Play Music and our CM's Apollo Player.
Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.omichsoft.player&feature=search_result
Confirmed compatibility with equalizers like Awesome Beats. Since Beats is just a modification of DSP, that should also work, and so should SRS.

Because it's an Apollo/Play Music fork?
Idk if the devs are still active, but the ONLY thing preventing me from using Omich is the fact that the Artist list doesn't display artist albums, instead showing "No data found." The Albums tab still works, as does the songs list when you select an Artist. Any ideas?
Edit: Nevermind, it appears that Omich doesn't include an album an artist appears on, only albums that the artist is the Album Artist for.
