Hello friends.
This is intended to be a thread providing up-to-date versions of ZTE ROMs, mainly for the very unsupported (so far) ZTE V71A and ZTE V11A, but if you have other requests for ZTE roms, please ask and I'll see if I can provide.

I'm sorry friends. I've lost access to the ZTE servers from where I procured new roms for devices.
Unless I find a different source, I can't provide any updates.
Until further notice this thread may be considered dead.
Thanks man, soo is this older or newer? http://kepfeltoltes.hu/120218/tmp_-2133757290_www.kepfeltoltes.hu_.png

Leave me your e-mail adress by pm if you want the file, but be advised that we still don't have a flashing utility to install it with, me and mobilx are still trying to figure out how we can get this software on our devices.

That would be good. did you get my pm?
Zte score roms?
Sent from my X500 using xda premium
Okay, so here is a pdf for the huaweii media pad 7, of the flashing process and the unlmt.cfg needed is 0byte also , it is supposed to be the same process, dont use the files from here, its not for v71a or v11a!
http://www.huaweidevice.com/tcpsdownload/downLoadCenter?category=&flay=software&downloadID=NDM5NzQ=
brd912, couldn't you have just said X500 in the first place? I'll look, if I find anything I'll let you know.
zsolti, so far I've had no success with using the huawei procedure to flash our tabs, and mobilx hasn't been online today so I haven't got a clue from him about this.
The bad news is, as confirmed earlier by mobilx, the builds are IDENTICAL to what we currently have on our devices. Not encouraging at all (Verified by comparing build.prop). And we don't even know how to flash them yet...
I'm attempting to obtain a carrier unlocked nandroid backup right now, to see if it's locked at a component firmware level or at software level. Maybe we'll see some good news on that front.
Hello there,
This guide in english explains a lot. So this unlmt.cfg file actually serves as a trigger to automatik or manual update.
That means
if it is present update will start on PWR off PWR on
if it is NOT present than you need to go to the FTM mode VOL+ & PWR and update process will start
dload folder must be on ext-sd card.
Again leaked FWs for V11a are the same as ones on our devices
Sangemaru can confirm if his internal FW name on 7 inch matches with the leaked ones.
Go to yours build.prop file and check ro.build.sw_internal_version=VDF_RS_V11AV1.0.0B03 example of mine device
VDF - network - vodafone
RS - country - serbia
V11A - model - 10 inch
V1.0.0 FW version - very first
B03 - localisation ( APNs, keyboards etc) Serbian network APNs and Cyrillic keyboard
Yea, I read it.
At least for my tablet, it didn't apply. Update would not trigger, either on reboot or ftm mode, with neither UPDATA.zip or update.zip names, with the file or not, with fresh sd card format or not, development mode or not, etc.
I'm assuming it worked on your V11A, so somebody should attempt it on their own V71A's if possible. I may have messed something up, or simply have an unsupported sd card.

Hi majaelix,
Tried all proceudres described in this post with no luck updating firmware, I have a Vodafone Spain V71a with 1.0 software version.
Tired to create several folders in sd-ext and puting inside the update.zip and the .cfg file with no success
Tried to sign the zip with Signapk utility but when I try to update it from Recovery, it says: "signature check failed", I think one of the files nneded to sign a zip file is related to the recovery, so I don't know how to generate it.
Also tried to root it with fastboot boot superboot.img but my fastboot can't detect the device form pc, I'vhe checked if drivers are installed in device administration and all seems to be ok.
Did you make any advance on this issue, I'm looking forward.

Uninstall and reinstall usb drivers. Your problem is a driver issue. And how exactly did you format the system?
Hey team!
My TF701T is not recognizing the zip file I downloaded from ASUS that will update the firmware.
My end goal is to install Lollipop on the tablet, but in order to play with Cyanogenmod 12, I need to get that firmware updated as Fastboot isnt playing nice otherwise.
I've tried using an insertable SD Card, and copying the file from ASUS to the internal storage and waiting for the auto-detect according to the SOP doc. Is there any way to get the ball rolling here?
please let me know if I can provide additional information.
Nevermind. I have a TF700T, and have been trying run an update for the TF701T =\
Hi,
I have nokia N8 and I recently managed to downgrade firmware from nokia belle refresh to scandinavian 11.05 firmware using instructions from this forum. Now I would like to refurbish it, but I want to use lowest possible firmware that is available for my product code. First I have one question, on mrcrab.net for nokia N8 RM-596 the lowest possible software is 11.12. I click on that link, and than I find my product code 059D6F4. And here I encounter my first problem there are 2 versions, V1 and V2. V1 has Variant ID: 4566463622, and V2 has Variant ID:4732303273. I don't know what is my variant ID, I searched on google and I can't find how to read Variant ID from my phone. So my first question is how to find Variant ID for my phone. Next I tried to write firmware from V2 version, although I am not sure if it is my Variant. So I downloaded all files from this page, put it in RM-596 folder in .../Phoenix/Products, renamed all files that contain RM-596 or RM596 in their name, so that all characters before these are deleted. But still there are some files with names without these chars so I left them as they are. Than I click Flashing, Firmware Update, than I click button with 3 dots [...]. In new window I get recognized my product code, in first column is 059D6F4, Description is empty, DP ver column shows 2.0. Since this is the only option I have, and only folder in Products folder is RM-596, I choose this and click OK. But here is problem and my second question, in Firmware Update window Product Code, and SW version text boxes are grayed, and Variant dropdown doesn't have any options. What am I suppose to do regarding this problem, thank in advance. Also I disable antivirus, run Phoenix as administrator, phoenix version is 2012.04.003.47798, the same one I used for downgrade from Belle refresh to Scandinavian FW. If anyone wants to help me via TeamViewer I would appreciate it.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA kindly post here Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good Luck!
I wanted to try installing a custom ROM, but i am not gonna do that withouth a stock ROM backup. However, i can't find the stock ROM for my device anywhere online and i have zero idea how to go around dumping mine. My serial code is: BLN-L21C432B130
Stock recovery would be nice too
Keep looking on Firmware Finder, or Google.
BTW, the full package should have the recovery image, this is, it is included on the UPDATE.APP file.

I have been using firmware finder. No idea how to know what version is the right one for me tho. There was one, but it didn't download
Check this out: http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=BLN-L21C432B130&firmware_page=0
Is the official web page for the devs of Firmware Finder (on russian, just traduce it with your preferred traductor). The URL points for the firmware database, already put your version on the search field. You can download the firmware by clicking on the "update file" column URL (the 5th column).
For downloading the full package, you must choose the "FullOTA-MF" firmware.
Currently, there are 2 "FullOTA-MF" firmwares. Be sure to check if the changelog is available; if the changelog URL gives you a 404 error, then that firmware file will be unavailable.
Finally, you can flash the firmware through dload + 3 button method, if needed. There are guides on how to do this on the forums.
Cheers, and good luck :good:
Don't forget to check that the firmware version fits with your device's version.
Here http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=94087&version=376224 you can download from official Honor European site the firmware for BLN-L21, Android 6.0, EMUI 4.1, C432B130

Not really, Once you install an OTA, The Active boot partition switches to the opposite one to boot the new firmware.
If you have Root + TWRP, I find this messy because then you have to manually patch the boot images, and it is usually after a few bootloops and softbricks. There is an option in Magisk, Install to inactive slot. That doesn't work always, at least during my ROG II and ROG III days.
Good thing about the RAW files, They do a clean install without wiping, and you can set it up easily afterwards with the usual magisk and patch steps without losing userdata. For a firmware upgrade I always prefer Raw files.
I actually found a RAW file from a usual source I used to get these, But surprisingly this version is not available in the ASUS site. Its about 3 digits below the current one.

Well... I can at least take some of your worries... OTAs won't be a thing after you unlocked your bootloader. You need to manually install them via magisk again. So there is no chance these automatic updates will break your phone.
Furthermore you don't have to worry about root + TWRP as well because there is no twrp for this phone and I doubt there will be one in the next time.
But applying updates and keeping root access without loosing your user data should be no problem. Magisk has special options for this and many people here update that way without bootloops and soft bricks.

I think you completely misunderstood my comment. I was saying that if the firmware for both models is the same, it is likely the raw files for both are the same (but still separate from the firmware).
In addition to what was already pointed out above, you have things backwards. The RAW firmware is intended to be a low-level rebuild. The regular firmware is not an incremental (which I assume is what you were thinking) and comes will a full firmware image every time.
Edit: The version from this thread now includes a separate flash_raw and flash_raw_and_wipe command.

RAW never wipes data. I've done it for almost 2 years in my ROG II.
That's how I usually update my firmware.
Unless something is changed in ROG 5 ... If yes, Then I'm wrong.
I'm yet to test all these anyway, Since unit is still on the way.

Then apparently it has changed. I didn't have a ROG II, but I have the ROG 5 in hand. I couldn't tell you what has changed, though.
You can, however, opt out of the erase. Not sure if you have to convert the raw to images first, though. I think that would be the method you used in previous phones. It was a flash_all script (or command, if you were on Windows).

Ohh .. In that case I was super wrong, and apologies over my misinformation.
Yeah, Actually ROG II Raw files had a Flash-all file which installs the full firmware, and reboots.
I even had a source (A Persian website) to get these when the OTA releases.
I was on windows, and usually after a RAW installation, the cache (Art or Dalvik, Whatever it is we have now) gets cleared and Phone becomes a little bit snappier than it was before.
Guess we gotta stick to ASUS OTA files from the support site then.
Thanks a lot ! : )
These updates come with a flash_raw script that looks more or less harmless. There is no visible wipe command included, but the phone did appear wiped after installing.
The flash_all, on the other hand, has a rather obvious section to opt in or out of an erase that opting out on Linux and Windows. I think the wipe isn't as much a wipe as it overwrites the partition.
I typically install my firmware with fastboot using a slightly modified version of the flash_all script and an unpacked payload. Somehow I broke the installer, which gives me a chance to test the raw again.
Edit: The version from this thread now includes a separate flash_raw and flash_raw_and_wipe command.

The cache (Art or Dalvik, Whatever it is we have now) gets cleared and Phone becomes a little bit snappier than it was before

I thought that rumor died long ago. Usually unless things go wrong clearing the cache should not make your phone faster.
It's like closing all apps/recents after each usage in order to boost the performance.

I think Art broke that. If I remember the explanation, the idea was to create something like the old odex layout that was less sloppy. The code that used to be cached is now broken out into a physical file alongside the application. It's also how apps like *that one everyone remembers for IAP* are able to modify code without breaking signatures.

Any word on the raw firmware? What about the existing boot images?

The RAW firmware I shared earlier - I didn't test it since it's a downgrade.
If the current firmware gets a RAW release, I will definitely test it.
Currently I patched only Boot Slot_A and booted to system using A. (using the same patched image I updated in OP)
Since there is no TWRP, I dont want to manually patch A and B both.
Magisk is stable, Didnt pass SafetyNet - So might need a module for that.

You do need a module. It's posted in one of the root threads. I guess we won't know if you need different boot images until someone tests, but at least you seem to be comfortable patching your own.

Glad you found it. Good luck.
I flashed the raw firmware. It was a downgrade and my device was already set up and in use, but it included the scripts and commands to install without a wipe (finally). Moving the latest firmware to the sdcard allowed me to update almost immediately after finishing the flash.
I would assume it works on the Ultimate, since everything else has been identical and the date on that package is the same as the software image.
New update !
