LG Optimus S/auto rotate issue - General Questions and Answers

My phone stopped auto rotating for me which kind of makes things harder when I'm trying to send a fast SMS or something.
I've refreshed the settings through 2 apps and the phone settings menu. Its also not auto rotating for any of my keyboards.
Does anyone know how one might resolve this issue?

You must reinstall the rom, or just check the auto rotating option in the settings.

[Q] Auto rotation! HTC Aria

Help! I'm new to XDA, and hope you guys can help me. I rooted and installed the attn1's froyo rom, but the auto rotation is either too sensitive or like broken. please help!
Try recalibrating the G sensor or turn off auto rotate.
Yeah... I miss the winmo phones with the ability to dictate what rotates and would love to see an app that does that. I use "Rotation Toggler" which is a free app from market that can disable the rotation by pressing and holding the search button. Comes in handy. Would be nice if this feature were built into the rom, but eh...
Thanks!

It is, cyanogen user settings I believe. It isn't a quick toggle but disables certain degrees you tilt the phone.

Oh that's the accessibility feature called talkback I think. To turn it off you have to go into Browser Settings or System settings to turn it off. I can't tell you precisely where to go as my xoom isn't with me at the moment.

Under there you have a check box for turning on Accessibility, then under that options for SoundBack and Talkback.

Smart Keyboard doesn't seem to auto correct??

So I am using Smart Keyboard. I really like the themes and custom options. The only issue is that it doesn't seem to auto correct if I make a typing error. It does basic corrections but nothing more. Is there a setting to adjust?? I couldn't find one. I did turn off the predictive box cause I hated that box taking up screen space. Could that be why its not working??

Weird issue with GoSms Pro

Hey all....have a weird issue here. I use GoSms as my messaging app. I have added it as a shortcut to the lock screen. When I have a new text come in and I get into the app from my lock screen, the keyboard doesn't want to work. It recognizes I'm typing (buttons press, popups show up) but nothing shows up in the entry field. I need to completely back out of the conversation and get back in again. Then it works fine. It does this regardless of what keyboard I use. The stock messaging app works fine and I don't have this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Actually was a weird bug that I had before months ago, can't really tell you what it was as it was fixed after flashing a different rom.

Permanently change default keyboard?

Edit: I disabled the LG keyboard with root app delete, no issues so far.
I've been using TouchPal keyboard for some time now, and I really like it. Unfortunately my g2 keeps switching back to the standard keyboard all the time.
I changed it in the settings, one time a "set keyboard" message appeared in the pull down menu and I opened up the TouchPal app to change the default keyboard. It keeps going back, even if I don't restart my phone.
Any tips?
Could i safely delete the lg keyboard with root app delete?
