Odin for nexus s 4g? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there an Odin for the nexus s 4g. I saw some post about what do if you messed up odining a new modem. I loved Odin for the epic 4g, made that phone basicly unbrickable.

[Q] Porting Galaxy S ROMS from Standard Galaxy S to the Galaxy S 4G?

Ok, this might very well be a stupid question here, but if you dont ask, you dont know, what would happen if i was to Flash a standard Galaxy S 3G ROM onto my Galaxy S 4G using clockwork recovery? Would it work or would i end the universe?
Thanks =)
I don't think I would do that. If its not intended for the sgs4g then it will prob not go over very well.

i did it once last Jan. exactly 3 days after purchasing this phone, i did somthing stupid while playing with the phone and i had to Flash it. After Flashing the Stock 3G rom, the phone did not recoginze the service provider and had no signal at all!! i was lucky later to find the Stock 4G one and i tried to flash back to it and it took my 3 hrs as my phone went to the black screen of death and i didnt know what to do! Honestly i didnt know how i fixed it but it was pure luck.
thanks for that guys, guess i shalt be doing that in a hurry =)

Use the one click return to stock, your phone will be stock again in 5 minutes.

I don't think there is a one click return to stock for GSM nexus.

That's too bad oneclicks are the way to go. There should be Odin files for the GSM nexus, and Odin has never failed me other than the time I bricked my friends galaxy s 4g, but those are weird phones and have nowhere near the developer support that the nexus or even the epic has. With Odin I brought an epic back to life after a toilet splash.

loo
Well it is why I wanted stock kernel back. In case of emergency.do you know if that locks bootloader

Hey man. Why don't you just one click back to stock and that will give you back and lock everything. Then reroot and unlock the bootloader? I was gonna mention this over there. I think no matter what route you take its gonna wipe your phone. Also with the issue your having returning to stock might not be a bad idea.

I think that's what I'm gonna do and do a full wipe of my phone delete absolutely everything and start really installing Roms. I wanna get into reviewing so I think starting at stock would be good

Sprint ICS OTA

So the NS4G finally got the ICS update? Is there any prerequisites, like only available for wifi? Just curious before I go back to stock so I can get it. I only rooted and used a custom ROM to take screenshots. Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to stay rooted you may be better off flashing a stockish rom. There are a few devs who have stock and rooted ready to go. Only thing I would say is to back up beforehand.

I updated my NS4G and then rooted after the fact. No problems here. As for a prerequisite, just backup your SD card since rooting will delete everything

Thanks guys. I appreciate it.
