If you have that rom, yo have root. Have you that rom?
I don´t understand your question, sorry.
(sorry too for my english)
Just read the ROM's thread carefully.
Automatically gives root access to:
Titanium Backup
Root Explorer
SetCPU
MarketEnabler
Isn't compatible with Superuser. Superuser.apk and related files will be removed from system.

If you want root access for other application you will need to do this:

Hi,
i have a samsung Galaxy S I9000, I want to root my phone so how to do this.
Depends what kind of root you need.
If you only need root permissions to install apps or edit system files then all you need is z4root.apk .. awailable in the market. (has an temp root / perm root and unroot function)
or download SuperOneClickv1.5.1 awailable in these forums.
BUT if you want to use .zip files to modify or update your system... then you need the 2e recovery ...
That for you need
CF-Root-XX_OXA_JPU-v1.3-BusyBox-1.15.3.zip
or
CF-Root-XX_OXA_JPU-v1.3-BusyBox-1.17.1.zip

I use Root Uninstaller. You can also uninstall system apps (be really careful) through Titanium Backup and a number of other file managers with root access.
Thx ! =) tried and successed
I know your question has been answered, but, you can also freeze stock apps with TitaniumBackup in case you're hesitant in completely removing them.

Yes that's a good option, that or renaming the old one.
I backed up my app data with Titanium and went back to stock. So I'd like to restore my data but you need root for that. So I flashed superuser to gain root access, but is there a way to now 'unflash'?
Something through emulator and delete some binaries?
I see this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516740

Download ES File Explorer. In the app, go to Settings, and choose to go up to 'root level' If it asks for Superuser, go ahead and allow it. Remove /system/bin/su, or /system/xbin/su, and then remove /system/app/Superuser.apk. Reboot and enjoy your un-rooted phone.

Hey marby!
I've been looking for an answer to my issue but could not find it so may I ask you for help, please?
I have rooted my SGSIII (the process added CWM and superSU).
After a month I recieved the update to JB4.1.1; I installed it and the root acces disapeared but SuperSU app stills there!!
I want to root my phone again, do you know if I have to uninstall SuperSU before I manage to root with any method for JB 4.1.1?
Thank you very much in advance!

No, but that's the wrong place to ask, since this is the Nexus S forums.

I'm sorry, since the subject was root/unroot I thought it will apply to any phone with JB 4.1.1
Thank you anyway! I will tell you later how it went!
hi there,
all i want to do is uninstall bloatware from my phone - i dont need to run any custom roms or anything else.
will unlocking the bootloader be able to do that? do i have to root the phone as well?
and then do i have to use titanium backup to uninstall bloatware?
sorry for the noob question, a lot of threads say just to root to uninstall, but it seems like unlocking the bootloader would be easier?
thanks for your help
just root your phone,
then you can uninstall the app inside the ROM(System).
unlock is for the custom ROM.
ohh okay thanks a lot!
Once rooted you can use an app called titanium backup to delete bloatware system apps, or use a file manager such as es file manager or root explorer, if you are using a file manager go to system/app and find the app that you want to delete. Both methods work the same, but in my opinion I like file managers. Hope this helps

Agreed. Just root using Gingerbreak or similar method, I've used Titanium backup to remove several unneeded apps You also need root if you want to remove carrierIQ, which may require more complicated methods.
Hi,
I have read a lot about rooting and have got confused. In the forum everybody is talking about custom roms and recovery image.
I want to simply root my HTC explorer and reinstall stock rom.
Reason: Uninstall preloaded apps that i don't require.(as they require root permission)
Later i would like to use my ext. SDCARD as an extension of internal memory.(Allowing me to install more apps)
Kindly guide me.
Thanks
You can check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189199 I think that's what you are looking for. You can't root without recovery so that's the only way

Original rooting tutorial ~if you don't wanna lose your language and other stuff.
Remember, the first thing to do after rooting is nandroid backup( go to recovery ~backup and restore ~click backup )..after that, you can test anything, Flash new Rom /Flash kernel with ext support/Flash stock Rom with ext support as said above..
