Hi!
I have downloaded .qcn file from my i780 via QPST tools. By experiment changed nv item 85 NV_SEC_CODE_I (SPC) from 000000 (hex 3030303030330) to hex (000000000000) and wrote qcn back to phone. writing to phone failed at 8% (possible at item85). Now I can only look some items but cant change SPC, cos it needs 6 digits input (in my case is NULL).
Is there any chance to write new code to phone?
Used PSAS (revskills) allows to dump code but not to cnange. Folder NVM is not accessable. locked..
Thank you very much with advice.
Dima.
I found my SPC cnanged to AAAAAA (414141414141). In EFS explorer its passes ok, in Software downloader it doesnt allow to type chars.. is any idea how to change manually?

When I try to edit a string in cmhomeres.dll, at the end of each text line there is a \0x00 which is lost when saving the change (for all the strings in that resource number and not only for the particular line I'm trying to change). And if I type the \0x00 then the result is \\0x00.
I'm using PE Explorer and followed the instructions given in it's help (under How to edit stringtable strings). Tried both explained methods.
(Did a forum search and found no help for this subject).
What am I doing wrong?
Well.... 0x00 is a null-character, so it is impossible to replicate (as far as I am aware). What are the effects of modifying the string, excluding the \0x00 and running it on your phone? Are there errors? [ Did you remember to re-sign the DLL ... You can find the signer by searching the forum...] I haven't actually changed strings in the cmhome DLL...so I am not so sure on the subject.
Unsign - edit - sign. Yes, those steps were followed.
PE Explorer's help states that each line of the stringtable must end with a null character but so far I have not been able to force it into the text.
Tried with ResHacker but using that one the null-char in not even visible.
If I save to a text file, edit there and reintroduce into the dll now I even get CR-LF chars
Have not tried copying the file without null-chars to phone for testing because the help file already raised a flag about null-char and afraid to brick it.
@experts,
i would humble ask you for support and\or suggestions.
I bought last year for my sons birthday a lg gm750 from ebay Germany in German language i found out.
It says vodafone and it was unlocked.
I found on gsmhosting website an Englisch rom version kdz file, Dutch version was not available. Phone worked properly in Englisch and no problems whatsoever.
Day before yesterday, we found a Dutch rom version
http://www.cellphone-tutorial.com/2011/01/lg-windows-mobile-gm750-firmware.html
downloaded file:
VODAFONE NETHERLANDS GM750AT-00-V10d-204-04-OCT-12-2009+2-DZ
I also do have a Dutch Vodafone subscription card. After flashing the phone, language is Dutch , all works but the phone can not be turned on to the network , it only says "telefoon uitschakelen" (phone off) on the main screen. It is not possible to turn it on.
I posted a message to the user of the site and he told me to use a nv2 backup and restore this file
he point me to this file
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/5680240-post4.html
It is this file NV_GM750.nv2, it is only 3 kb
and someone post a file in the same topic GM750__2010_4_7_11_12.bkn (don't know exactly what file this is), it is near 32 kb
When i start LGMDP_EURO_Ver_1_6_Build_2_4.exe it is not possible to select NV restore ???
I get the message: Error! NV Backup file does not exist
It is not possible to select the file in any other way, despite of reading and reading on sites like this, there is no way for me to get a popup or possibility to select the file.
When i try to create a NV backup i get 'Normal mode'
IMEI --> NOT_ACTIVE___
Bluetooth Addr --> NOT_ACTIVE___
Cal Date --> NOT_ACTIVE___
When selecting NV backup i got the following error:
Error! can't open serial port (reboot and reconnect)...
now trying to flash the GM750 with LGPD2 but i need the dll file for the gm750
Can anyone upload this file for me or to my email address
[email protected]
i read on xda developpers that i need this file:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5600193&postcount=70
According to LG the Flasher program must use this program and these DLLs
GM750
LGDP2 - GM750_090915.dll
GM730
LGDP2 - GM730_090708_MP.dll
please help, any support and /or suggestions is more then welcome

ps: i also have installed QPST but i can not browse to the NV backup on the disk, there are many files to select but i am not that kind of expert, only connecction is established
For some reasons i can't seem to find my Unlock code via hex editor.
I Rooted the phone and followed the tutorial to extract the bml5.img out of the phone
then i used an hex editor to find the code.
After searching for the line of code which was supposed to have the unlock code written thru it, the hex editor was not finding it.
So now im confused. I scrolled for like 1-2 hours to find the spot but found nothing. Is there any way this could go faster and easier to find ?
If this is the wrong thread I am sorry. Mod please move it if I am wrong.
I have a paid version of CDMA WS just FYI
Here is what I got so far. I dump my NV items from terminal using this string
dd if=/dev/stl5 of=/sdcard/cdma.rfs
I am able to use Magic ISO to extract all the NV items to be able to view them.
Now the file format they are currently in is able to be read by a hex editor but not by CDMA WS. I am under the impression they are a binary file extension even though no extension shows up.
Here is my question, a few of the NV items are in multiple parts, I am so confused how to compile them and have them be able to be written to a phone in CDMA workshop.
Any idea's welcome, thanks in advanced
I will give who ever helps me a free donor phone (Samsung Prevail Donor Items)
1 of the 10 donor phones will be ripped for its keys and then parted out. This is the only way I can think to help pay back since it will help me HUGE

Very good I'm testing
I noticed there are a lot of crashes at Android 4.2 and Android 4.4. I located bug and fixed. I uploaded to google play store. A few hours later, v0.9.2 should be online. If you have faced crashes make sure to upgrade to the latest version via google play store.
Thanks
Updated to version 0.9.3
What's new:
* Bug-fix
* Social media links added to About page
v1.0.0 has been released and beta tag has been removed. IMEI ToolKit is now production.
Unfortunately, Google decided to suspend IMEI ToolKit from Google Play Store. Google claims IMEI Toolkit violates Device and Network Abuse policy. It is not correct. IMEI ToolKit just uses external storage permission. How an app violates device and network abuse policy with only external storage permission. Anyway I started an appeal, but it does not matter now. IMEI Toolkit was suspended from Google Play Store and I opened a developer account from Amazon AppStore and I uploaded IMEI ToolKit to Amazon AppStore. Amazon team examined IMEI Toolkit and they send me a letter that there is no violation in IMEI ToolKit and they decided to list IMEI Toolkit in Amazon AppStore. Here is the link that you can download IMEI Toolkit from Amazon AppStore:

IMEI Toolkit app does not change IMEI of phone. It just helps you to restore IMEI numbers to orginal IMEI numbers. IMEI Toolkit just replace IMEI numbers inside QCN file. You need to restore QCN file to your phone with a tool like QPST or QFIL. If you replace with QPST or QFIL, it will not be masking, it will be restoring totally and operators can't see.
