Hey guys, when I plug in my phone to charge the keyboard input starts to freak out a little. When I try to text or use the slide feature it picks up a completely different letter. Is this just like a bug or something? Does this happen to anyone else or is it just my phone? Thanks!
There's a grounding issue with the stock charger on some phones. Try a different charger.

Does anyone know of an external battery case coming out or already out like the Mophie for the iphone? I know Tmobile sometimes sells them in select markets for select phones ( I had one for the HD2, HD7 and mytouch 4g all bought from Tmobile). Has anyone seen or heard of one for the Sensation?
Are you talking about one like this http://t.co/3ZNgYKZ

That would be great. But I bet it would interfere with the WiFi antenna and other things built into the back battery cover.

Ueah like that but that's HUGE!!!! Wonder if anyone will make a smaller one. The one for the iPhones are pretty small.

What's up with that TUMOR on the side of the case? Ew.
As for the OP's post, I haven't seen any yet either, but I'm looking!

The tumor is actually where the case plugs into your phone's microusb. I agree it's ugly and they should think of another way

Maybe a different usb cable???
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA
If your positive its not the battery, then it's either the cable or the contacts. Try another cable first though. If it still doesnt work you have the option of going to ebay and buying a new charge port and installing yourself or calling lg if its been less then a year and they should replace it for you.
I had left my phone on the charger for 3 hours, I disabled WiFi and mobile network while charging and when I went to take it off the charger it was extremely hot, I checked the temp it was 140 degrees F and quickly power downed my phone for a hour was wondering has anyone else experience this?
Sent from my HTC One S using XDA
Yea mine gets pretty hot while I do stuff on it but after I experienced over heating on the g2x this seemed like nothing ha
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
Yea I feel it get warm when playing videos or playing games for a while but that was really hot
Sent from my HTC One S using XDA
Must say this is the "coolest" phone I've owned so far..
Hehe, joke aside, it doesn't actually heat up all that much.
Even when being used or in talk.
mine is always at 40°Celsius after I use it for 5min :/
( 104 Fahrenheit says Google)
Mine gets warm not hot feels so nice when u ain't used ur phone for awhile and it feels cold
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Me too. But it wasn't EXTREMELYhot just hotter than I have ever felt on a phone. But it quickly cooled down after an hour more on the charger.

I noticed my phone got pretty uncomfortably hot when I had it plugged in my car charger and using the turn-by-turn navigation. At that time I didn't have an app to measure the temp though. I'm going on a trip this weekend so perhaps I'll be able to get some hard data.
In general though it does get pretty warm when it's charging. I'm not too surprised by that since the phone is so thin..
You using OEM charger? Usb charging? Wall charging?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda premium
I had mine charging for a few hours, and it didn't get hot at all. I used an OEM HTC charger and cord.

OEM all the way here

i went through 5 units, they all behaved very differently in terms of heat. so i guess the build quality is to blame here.
been playing Asphalt 6 for 45 min and screen still on downloading Max Payne, not hot at all. My Legend can get hot quick.
edit, about an hour of Asphalt and Max Payne it got pretty hot!
Yup same here ...however once I flashed a different rom the issue went away...good luck
I want to give a big thanks who put their input. Helps a lot of us - new to the phone users good ideas for the heat.

Well simply try the stock charge included with the phone. Should be simple enough to trouble shoot from there .
So far i've just used the one included and the HTC charger that came with my One X+, neither get my phone any more warm then it would be when charging. Never Hot though...

Ok. I'm curious what it is. Mine gets warm while charging. Warm enough I may go take it for an exchange.
How many amps is the charger? The higher the amps the more juice it's pushing and hence the higher temps.

I am using the bundled charger right now and am at 90 degrees according to GSAM battery monitor. Been on the charger for about an hour.
