[Q] external battery case - HTC Sensation

Does anyone know of an external battery case coming out or already out like the Mophie for the iphone? I know Tmobile sometimes sells them in select markets for select phones ( I had one for the HD2, HD7 and mytouch 4g all bought from Tmobile). Has anyone seen or heard of one for the Sensation?

Are you talking about one like this http://t.co/3ZNgYKZ

That would be great. But I bet it would interfere with the WiFi antenna and other things built into the back battery cover.

Ueah like that but that's HUGE!!!! Wonder if anyone will make a smaller one. The one for the iPhones are pretty small.

What's up with that TUMOR on the side of the case? Ew.
As for the OP's post, I haven't seen any yet either, but I'm looking!

The tumor is actually where the case plugs into your phone's microusb. I agree it's ugly and they should think of another way

Any cases that don't allow slide?

This isn't going to be too helpful, but just to get you by until someone comes in with a solid answer, I know I've seen at least one or two cases that encompass the entire phone.
yeah, get the aluminum PDAIR ones. it's metal and it locks the phone down.
has anyone tried the pdair case? How does it actually hold up to everyday use? To drops?
I wonder if the desire from uk is the same size as the desire z...

Just wanted to second the aluminum cases, seems like the only ones that have a locking mechanism on the side.

NFC microSD...turn MT4G into NFC device

http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/01/netcom-shows-off-microsd-card-with-integrated-nfc-goodness-vide/
There's hope yet that we can turn our MT4G into NFC device. However, I do have Nexus S too, but day-to-day I love my MT4G with RoyalGinger 2.1. Great ROM, fabulous battery life.
To be honest by the time nfc becomes widely useful in our daily lives, I would have switched to the mytouch 6g or Htc "insert feeling here"...lol

I dunno. It just says in the article that it will only work with plastic slots.
It also says that the back can't be metal. which ours is as well

Good to see they are working on it...seems that GSM carriers could build this technology into the sim card itself.
I have seen quite a few people at work who put the small paypass key tags on the back of their phones, then cover it with a TPU case and use their phones as a payment device that way.

MT4G is nowhere near ready for that

Htc Sensation touch screen issues have stopped for the time being.

Okay so I was having all kinds of touch screen issues, with the lock screen and in general the display wasn't recognizing swipes and was constantly opening Widgets and apps on the home screens. So I went to do a warranty exchange and took off my Tpu blue argyle case and after a reboot everything went back to normal so just thought I would post(even though this probably won't help anyone)there is a chance that it might. Please post your responses whether this helps or not and if your phone has been naked all it's life and still having problems.I usually always have my phone naked in a Nexus one pouch as I bought a bunch of them and like the protection they offer.

Thanks for contribution, but this is NOT a fix, trust me. Not for most people anyway.
Your a little to late to the dance my friend. This has been said multiple times over the past 6 weeks. Works for some and not for others. A lot of people also report that after a while, the problems come back whether the case is on or not.

Right on no biggie, that's why in my post I said this most likely wouldn't help anyone I just wanted to know if anyone else noticed a difference and if it came back, and like you said it does so thanks.I just thought it was odd that a case was causing problems,I was also having wifi problems and since I took the case off those too have been resolved so I guess I have to wait and seen if there is a direct correlation or couincidence as I didn't have any issues pre case.

The case is blocking some of the WiFi signal. I know its not much but a piece of rubber is enough to **** up a already weak signal.

I owned 2 sensations and both of them i returned for that same problem.
No matter how many resets or messing around with settings the screen woldnt register my touch after about a week and a half.
Im going for the mytouch 4g slide now and pray it works fine lol
I no longer have the problem after removing bloat ware and putting on a screen protector. Not sure which one fixed the problem. Try both!

Right on,thanks for the apology and I appreciate the info, your right it's common sense and it's just I have read of sooo many people complaining about this phone (death grip, poor wifi, touch screen issues, random reboots)and I hadn't experienced any of them until last week when I bought a case and for the last week I have had problems until today and when I took of the case off presto all MY problems disappeared.Which is odd since my wife has a similar case and has used it since launch and never had any issues.I just normally never use a case with any of my devices and haven't for a few years.

There's some things I would do if I were you just for precaution.
1. Turn "Tell HTC" off. Its a setting under "About Phone". A lot of people have reported improved touch sensitivity and speed.
2. Take your battery out and keep it out over night.
Those two things seem to be fixing the issues the most.

I encountered the laggy unlock ring problem about 2 weeks after I got the phone. It lasted about a week and then went away. I haven't had any problems for almost a month now. I've never put a case on my phone, but I did disable all HTC syncs and disabled most HTC and Tmobile apps.

Yeah, right. "And this one, I'm not too sure."
I actually just exchanged several emails with HTC support and they admitted they don't know what the holes are for, or whether the Sensation has noise cancellation. I even had to tell them it's got two mics because it supports stereo audio recording. Pathetic really.
Based on posts I've read from users noise cancellation either isn't implemented or doesn't work.
We all already knew they were for antennas and mic's
What the?
That video is a joke LMAO
I saw this before as well and the guy obviously just making up shiz
You can easily see that the holes are all at spots where the antenna contacts are on the back cover. Just not sure why.

My guess is that the holes (excluding the mic hole above the camera) serve a purpose during manufacturing and are insignificant beyond that. Probably for pins to go through that the machines use to properly align the antennae contacts.

No, they emit subsonic penis enlargement sound waves. Can't go blocking those!

The funny thing for a phone they emphasized the design on so much I can't believe they just left them there unless there was a good reason. I'm guessing the holes may help with the antenna reception.

Digitizer replacement is not working

just to let you guys know if it break you need to be careful of the part you buy. here are comparison photos of the digitizers. the could say either note 0.3 or espresso 10 and can be black or orange/yellow in color. the thing is they could be different. the ones i've opened needed the one circled in red, even us ebay sellers have the wrong one... im currently contacting one to see if he has the correct one. ill let you guys know.

Up to now all of them EXCEPT ONE are the wrong ones. On the picture it shows the flex and you can see the parallel lines on it... I did order it but don't recall what happened to it. I'll ask at work and let you know.
Apparently there's only two.

This is the one we bought. And looking at them now I noticed like 2 or 3 more with the correct flex. Just to be sure send them a message asking about the flex...

Be careful. Yesterday we got another one and this one didn't work... They looked the same but still. Not sure of it was defective though...

Didn't really test it and wasn't able to compare the flex... They both had the parallel lines.

I have read that there is only one version, it's just the really high failure rate of non genuine digitizers

I know that the connector ends look different, I saw them myself, but it doesn't mean that the digitizer differs electrically, if you understand what I am trying to say. I have used a multimeter to test few of those, and found that the pins which are connected between themselves on one type of flex, are also connected on other flex too, even when the end looks differently. That is what I wanted to say
Oh, and the missing contact, it looks like it isn't used by the tablet
