At one point, yes... but no more.
$60 for 50 cents worth of plastic and $1 worth of wire/metal.
Wow. Thanks HTC.

It has the bluetooths and can connect to your entertainment center...
The worst part is the crossed-out $99.99 next to the price, as if it was ever sold for that much.
There are laws against that kind of thing in some countries - that is, saying something is on sale when it isn't.

ok, a $3 bluetooth chip...The desktop dock should be $20, MAYBE $30. $60 is outrageous.
Overpriced Acc.
Like the Nexus One Car Dock. What kind of profit margin? I guess if there is a market. Remember the "Pet Rock"!

It should be whatever they can get. if it doesn't sell, they're charging too much and the price will drop. And materials aren't the only costs that go into developing the product
Desk Docks, good to go
I can part with my dock.
mint, used two times... or less. (i love my casemate)
still have the box and everything.
yours for $50 --i had to pay CA tax or, exchange for a car dock in good condition.

Buy it, if you dont like it send it back. Or sell it on eBay: here in Germany they sell for more than the HTC Shop pricing (57€ on htc shipping incl., ebay 60-70€)

You should start mass producing these puppies then, it's so cheap to do, right?
I doubt it even has a bluetooth chip in it since the phone already has one built in.
Aren't they for sale on the htc site? I remember seeing them a few weeks ago.they were back ordered till november

I ordered mine on expansys, it only takes 3 business days to have it.
I got a dock on eBay second hand for 30gbp bit expensive but sooooo worth it there is no alternative to an OEM dock such a snug fit. As for the Bluetooth that's got to be a lie! No where in the unit is there a Bluetooth icon. Very strange

The phone connects by bluetooth to the dock for audio, which is why there's a 3.5mm jack on the back of the phone without a connection to the nexus's audio port.

The top one for T-Mobile works great. I use one in my office, and you can use it in the car with a car charger too. Just a handy place for the phone all around. Only disadvantage is, it will NOT work with any type of skin or case.
I picked up the Desktop cradle and another battery that comes with battery only charging unit directly at T-Mobile for 21.39 after tax.. It was a hell of a deal

Same here, but at $24.99. Although the battery is 1500mAh, not 1650mAh as the one that came with the phone.
Was this deal online or in the store? I called a local store in So Cal and no one knew anything about it... Thanks

Got micro HDMI ???

I finally found a HDMI cable locally.
That way if it did not work, I could return it.
I got it at WAL-MART. I looked at my local WAL-MART they do not carry this item. I found it at a WAL-MART when I was out of town this weekend, When I was walking around the electronics area.
I saw all the people with mix results so I held off for a quality cable from a company I can trust and been making cables for a long time.
I got the:
BELKIN - HIGH SPEED HDMI CABLE WITH HDMI MICRO CONNECTOR.
6FT. OR 1.8M
$30.00
I just tested it out for 5 minutes last night. It worked great. I set the HDMI setting to automatic. As soon as I plug cable in it worked.
I was saying, Awesome!!!
Hopefully this helps people who need the cable and are scared of what cheap cables can do to expensive electronics.
Running stock Gingerbread Rom.

That's what I'm sayin'! They all work the same. I'm not gonna spend 10x the price on something that won't work any better. To me, 1080p, is 1080p.
i can guarantee the $3 ones wont last..probably from ebay..lol but thats where i got mine from, cost me bout 10 bucks about two months ago and still works, i use it all the time especially weekends, make sure to check buyers feedback and also u can notice a crappy cable by looking at it...just be carefull when pickin but it's best to get one from a local store or t-mobile website
I had some money coming my way that I was not counting on so I say what the heck!!!
I saw all the complaints if all those cheap cables. I did not want to be one of those people.
I was just posting a options some people don't mind spending more on a quality product.

I've used my $3 cable almost everyday since receiving it 2 weeks ago and I've had no problems at all.
The cable actually looks like good quality....I got it from Hand Held Items. I'm usually the first to say when something looks cheap, but this $3 cable looks the exact opposite. I'm still shocked that stores can make money selling a HDMI phone cable for $30. What a ripoff....smdh
But I'm not knocking anybody who purchased that $30 cable, by all means if you got the money and want to do it .... perfect!

I understand...Im not trying to sell anyone anything, I just wanted anyone that may be in the market for a cheap HDMI cable to know where I got mine from. I'll admit, some of the reviews aren't so great, but there are more 5 ratings than 1 ratings. I guess I have one of the 'Good' cables.
Nonetheless, good luck with any decision you guys make.
I got HDMI cable off ebay for me and my dad for $1 each lol, still working strong, but I cant say these $3 ones for our phones will be the same, I will be picking one up for mine soon.
I return mine. I am trying cheaper cables now that I know my phones HDMI port works. The Belkin one was a perfect fit.

Since I can't post links: Visit NewEgg then search the item: RCE-6-MHEF
6+ft mini-hdmi to hdmi male for less than $7.
Food for thought... seems none of you have heard of the future of internet shipping -- NewEgg... quality cable if you ask me, have 3+ of the normal hdmi and they sell adapters if you already have a hdmi cord, because how many times do you hook up your phone to a tv anyways?
Good link. I have to check that out.

Heads up: Cheap OEM (TMO-US) Accessories

So I wanted to find a cheap car upgrade kit that was OEM but there didn't seem to be anything outside of $60 even on eBay. Then I stumbled on http://www.all4cellular.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=htc+sensation&cat=&x=0&y=0 after some random Google searching. Looked sorta shady at first but I placed an order for the OEM CUK and lo and behold, a couple days later, I got a genuine kit with an HTC box (with the $60 price tag!) for under 20 bucks. I noticed they have the OEM dock for cheap, as well as some other OEM related goodies.
Not sure if they ship internationally for you fine folks across the border/water. I can post pics when I get home from the library tonight if you guys want. Also, I checked seller ratings and the site seems reliable enough. I just wish this kit could be reassigned to open up a different app than HTC Nav
Sorry if this is a repost, I tried searching. If not, enjoy!
Unfortunately shipping to The Netherlands costs around 30 euros :'(

It sure can.
1) Remove the Htc Laputa and Location related apk's from /system/app (but do not delete the HtcLocationService!)
2) Remove the DockMode.apk, and replace it with a DockMode.apk from a T-MO RUU (or T-MO based rom)
3) Install the HtcCarPanel.apk
Done. Now when you dock, it will launch the lovely HTC Car Dock.
I know details are sketchy, but I can put up the necessary files if need be tomorrow.

Tried this but I maybe I didn't have the right files. HCP.apk wouldn't open after it was installed. Do I have to delete Laputa and Location or can I just freeze them?
Whoohoo - finally was able to afford the HTC car dock. Hopefully it comes, like the OP said, the reviews for the site are good, I also used paypal to check out so they didn't get my CC info.
Also use this coupon code for 5% off: a4c6a7
I wanted to update, I ordered the HTC car dock from these guys and received an incorrect item (they sent me a bluetooth headset, worth more on their site). I thought "oh great, I just got scammed."
I emailed them and the quickly responded with a new tracking number and paid return shipping for the bluetooth headset.
Anyway, if anyone is worried about ordering from these guys I can say, in my case, that they were very responsive. It sucks they had the mix up, but they did what they could to make it right (they even cross shipped, newegg doesn't even do that!).
And the OEM car dock is just what I was looking for. It's still not worth $60, but for $20 it's a steal.
Sweet find, just ordered to micro usb cables. Just to see if their good. All goes good I'm ordering that evo3d battery from there! lol 10% coupon btw.
Thanks for this dude, only wish they had the white battery cover for the sensation for $25 plus the 10% coupon? I would have brought it in a heartbeat.

Replacement USB-C to 3.5mm adapter?

I don't even know why Motorola trusted me with this tiny ass adapter But I lost the darn thing in a day. Does anyone know where to find a replacement that isn't from China and won't take a month to get here? I tried contacting Motorola about it but all they said was contact Verizon, which is useless considering they don't sell it. Any advice?
Not an answer, but similar question...does anyone know if a usb c to 3.5 mm male cord exists?
My headphones have a removeable cord 3.5mm male on both ends...itd be nice to have a cable as opposed to an adapter.

Yeah they're pretty cheap, but they all come from China.
I am thinking that will be the only option as the original is from China...and I briefly looked into it when I first bought the phone, I was then unlucky enough to receive a defective device and returned it for a replacement...well the adapter was in the bag not the box so I got a spare for the inconvenience of returning to the store.
Bump. Has anyone found a seller in the states? The only places that seem to sell them are from China.
Honestly, if you're a regular listener to music it might be time to go BT.
I've been using BT almost exclusively for a long time and and it's really nice.
First, no tangling of cords. No having to un-knot the mess when you take 'em out of your pocket or bag... no worry about snagging them on something when I'm sitting on the bus communicating to work.
Second, additional controls. Most BT headsets have controls for volume as well as track control so you can adjust without having to open the music app on your phone if you playing a game, checking email, or reading a book. Or...
Third, you don't need to be right next to your phone. You could have your phone tucked away in a purse or bag or briefcase or backpack and still listen to music. Or you could have it sitting on the charge on the counter while you're moving around the house... as long as you're not too far away of course.
Not, I'm not a serious audiophile, so I admit that there may be some degradation of sound quality going via BT. It's no problem for me, but I can understand that it might be so for some people. But unless your the type that really needs super good sound quality... or you just don't have the extra cash handy, BT is the way to go in my humble opinion.

I too only found ones from China, and I finally found a listing in the US for the exact same product in the chinese listings, the white one, and I bought 3 of them. Huge mistake, don't go for them. They don't support stereo headphones :silly:
Huge waste of money. I too decided to go bluetooth as the poster above me, I use a pair of Beats Studio 2.0 (I know you guys hate beats, blah blah blah) and they work great. I did manage to RMA my phone though, as I was having some issues with the power button, and they just sent me a completely new Moto Z Force Droid in box, so I have a spare turbo charger and a new headset adapter

Just came across two eBay listings for what appear to be OEM replacement adapters (SKN6474A), thought I'd share (after I bought two for myself, natch). Kinda weird: same seller, but the first link is for $7.99 Buy-It-Now, the 2nd is for $9.99 but accepting offers. Haven't received them yet so can't say for sure they're the real deal, but the seller has 100% with 150 ratings. Act quick!
