Perhaps the Thunderbolt Dock? - G2 and Desire Z Accessories

http://htcpedia.com/news/htc-thunderbolt-dock-here.html
It looks like it could be used on a G2 as well. Of Course this is just by looking at it. Has anyone thought of this yet?
It may not be the official dock for the G2, but this could be the closest thing to a official dock.

The DZ is a little bit thicker than the Thunderbolt, and that may just make it a close fit. Depending, it might not fit at all, too.

I got one of those OEM tilted docks off of Ebay. Its actually pretty good, the phone doesnt budge or anything while on it and its on a nice angle.

I actually have this very same dock too. It has two sockets for charging. one by AC plug and the other usb plug. The back plugs are not micro usb but mini usb so you can't use your regular charger from your g2 phone. The AC plug charges real fast but the usb socket side does not charge as fast

Yea that is true. I use it mostly as a nightstand so the sync usb slot is not even used

I found 1
I found one on ebay if you still want one.

HTC / Nexus hand crank charger?

Anyone know of a dynamo hand crank charger that'll work with the N1's weird little flat mini usb port?
Taking a trip to europe in the next 5 months, and I don't want to carry an extra battery or two..

It's not a weird/flat usb port. It's microUSB, and that's standard around the world man.
I have actually seen a handcrank emergency flashlight (saw it today actually for $5) that has an adapter that you can plug in a car charger to. ie crank the flashlight, attach that car charger adapter to the flashlight, plug in your phone charger, plug in your phone. lol Seems complicated, its actually pretty small. And meant for emergency use anyway.
quick google pulls up this, which is even better

Any good docks with charger for spare battery?

Or anything that allows you to charge a 2nd battery without it being in the phone? I'm about to purchase an OEM battery for backup and want to be able to have both fully charged, easily.
Damn, was hoping at least one other person has used one of these...
Anyway, I did some searching and found this. Anyone have any experience?

Bought this:

But haven't used the spare battery charger portion of it yet.

That's the one I use, and it charges both my phone and spare battery perfectly.
That one gives the appearance that the microUSB plug is pretty much the only thing holding the phone up. Is this the case? Because that concerns me...that connection is already seemingly loosening up, my car charger only charges the phone when the cable is in at a certain angle now, and when a cable is in I can wiggle it back and forth quite a bit. I don't want to put any more stress on that than I have to.
Opinions?

I also use the $18 one.
Don't worry about the phone being held by the micro usb only, it's a trick of the eye.
The phone actually clicks into the dock and doesn't move one inch.
Excellent value for money.
Damn....I went ahead and bought the one I linked to above, thinking that you get what you pay for. It's on its way now...I guess I'll see if it was worth the extra money.
Also bought an extra stock battery, don't know how I feel about all of the aftermarket ones.

Update for those interested -- I received this dock yesterday, and it's quite nice. Very solidly built, the phone sits in it very nicely, and you can plug it in via the provided USB cable to your computer, or plug the USB cable into a provided USB/AC converter (a plug with a USB opening, basically). Since I haven't used the $20 one listed above I can't really compare, so I can't honestly say this is worth the $30 difference, but I don't foresee any problems with it, and I saw a couple of complaints in the reviews for the other one, so I'm happy.

[Q] Plug Adapter For Charger

First things first just got my transformer and it is awesome! However the little charger thing is rubbish the plug that connects to it didn't seem to want to connect so after applying more force I managed to sort of wedge it on. However it is quite loose and any movement stops it charging! Are you supposed to push some sort of tab to attach the plug or does everybody else have this problem? Its a UK plug BTW
I'd guess youre not pushing hard enough!
If you fingers arent going white and they dont hurt afterwards, you need to push harder.
When fully connected the flat bottom of the UK plug overlaps the bottom of the adapter by less than the thickness of a fingernail.
Apparently it's very difficult to connect the two pieces. Many people have said that they thought their charger would break with the amount of force needed. Maybe try pushing harder? I can't help you any more than that I'm afraid as I don't have my TF yet.

Once they are connected - Try taking them apart again, Impossible!
Gave it a good shove and broke that little plastic thing that sticks out off :-S nothing abit of duck tape didn't fix though. Still seems a shame the build quality of the tablet and especially the keyboard is very high then they give us a crap charger and tiny wire. Also one charger for both the tablet and keyboard!
I had this issue and it ended up bending the little plastic bit which I used a knife to push it back to shape and then managed to clip it in. This makes me think it wasn't perfectly lined up in the first place so guess you have to have it perfect otherwise you will end up breaking that little plastic bit off.

whoa you're right D: I just tried.
My charger was already connected to the plug. It almost seems like one piece. Do the US unit have one piece charger?

Does this unit have a 15 volt setting to match the original charger?
The easiest and safest way is probably alligning it and oush it in on a flat surface. That's what I did and it went in without a sweat. These kind of chargers are quiet common now so manufactures only have one charger for the whole-world making it easier to produce and all they have to do is give you different sockets for different regions.

it has switches that go from 3.3 to 11 volts but its charging my transformer fine.
the dynex charges at 11 volts / 1.5 amps. its a much better idea then using the crap charger that is supplied. here is a pic of my melted charger.

Anyone using a good stand-alone USB charging dock (non-Qi)?

I'm looking for one that holds the entire phone, not just the battery. I would like it for my desk at work and not a Qi charger, but a USB dock.
The style I see on Amazon is the same one just dressed up by various vendors and may be OK, but I would like a very nice quality dock if possible.
Thanks!
Ouch. No response. OK, I may go ahead and try a "universal" charging stand, one that will hold my phone and my LG adapter. When I find the "right one", I will post back FWIW.
I bought this one, it's very good so far: http://www.amazon.com/Monoy-Dual-De...-1&keywords=Monoy-Dual-Desktop-Charger-Cradle

I have that in my cart still! How is the balance with the phone inserted? Can you use the touchscreen reliably while docked?
I did end up just receiving this stand:
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Stan...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01
I bought it with the included charger and cable since it was only a few cents more than without and I thought the 90 degree angled cord would be pretty cool, but it turns out that this cable will NOT work with the fast charger. It works with any brand wall plug as long as it is not a quick/fast charger. So, no biggie I guess. The stand is very sturdy and stable. I can use the touchscreen while docked without any issues. Totally not as convenient as having a drop in stand with a charger built in. I have to manually plug it in when charging is desired. So, for 10 bucks, I am keeping it and I may get the one you have for convenience sake.

The one I bought also charges the second battery. That's why I got that one.

Dock or Cradle for the G5?

I really miss wireless charging, and was hoping to find a dock or cradle I could pop my phone into so it can charge. There are a ton of Type C docks on Amazon. Anyone buy one or have any recommendations? Let me know!
Would not recommend this type, worked ok plugged into a PC for charging for a few weeks but not so well now. Never worked for docking to PC, always throws up errors - works fine with same cable (not the one supplied cos that was rubbish) and adaptor.
Haven't had a chance to test second battery charging capacity but judging by main bit it'll be bobbins.
It's also unstable, so if you go to swipe the screen (or even lightly brush it) it'll topple.
I was looking at that one..But it doesn't look like it would work with a case (out a thick one). I ordered this one from Amazon. Waiting for it...I'll let you know
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01FMX7G92/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_LMaDxbPWWQ4DD
I was looking for one open on the sides and deep enough to get up into the case.
Waiting for it...I'll let you know in a couple days.

Basically the same as the one I wouldn't recommend. Even if it charged well, it's still pretty unstable and wobbles massively when you touch the phone. You'd need to stick it to something to stop the wobble.
Hmm... I'll keep searching
Edit: THIS OR THIS ONE
I bought this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017K46T1M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's been great. Holds the phone firmly, sometimes too tight to get it off, but you'll get the hang of it. It's adjustable so it fits a case too.
It was a little finicky with some 3rd party QC2.0 wall chargers, but works fine with the LG Charger, Tronsmart charger and Anker chargers.
Just a quick review of my impressions of the WeCell dock.
I found it to be quite sturdy. Doesn't want to tip over, but you do require two hands when taking it from the dock as it's too light. Could be fixed to a surface to fix that. If your looking for something that doesn't take much space on a bed side table...it is space saving.
The USB connector pivots about 20 degrees which can make it a little tricky to dock, but after using it a few times I found it easy to dock properly.
I noticed that you should use the provided cable with the stock lg charger to get a proper charge. Was a little inconsistent with the Anker charger.
Overall it's a ok charger, but if your looking for something to use one handed, might want to check out the one posted above.
