Is is possible for desire s to have in-line recording? I have searched for the appropriate app for weeks.
I'm guesting that you mean two way recording?
I believe they this is only possible with custom kernels on custom rom, so therefore s-off devices
Although saying that unity 2 kernel (see thread in android development forum) was meant to enable this but I read that people were having problem doing it

has anyone tried flashing MIUI yet? i was thinking about trying but was wondering if anyone else had any luck.
i searched this forum but no results.
Were all waiting for official source from HTC for the inspire 4G before we can do anything with AOSP based roms. It will happen..but not until after we get source cuz we need the driver for the sound/amp in the inspire.

I can tell you that I have done it and have call sound working but no other sound. I am still playing with it but like other poster says it's going to take inspire source.
Beautiful rom though. I've used it on other devices before and it's one of the cleanest out there.
Looking forward to having it on Inspire. Friend in UK that's a dev uses it on his Desire HD and won't use anything else.

Isn't the inspire the same hardware as the Desire HD? That source is available.

No, the Inspire and the Telus Desire HD use a different sound/amp setup than the original Desire HD. So although most of the ROMs will flash on the Inspire you usually end up with no sound at all.
Miui is AOSP therefore you won't find a fix for sound, probally, until the source is released and I or someone can commit all the changes and keep sound in tact which shouldn't be too too hard.

if this gets miui, im upgrading from the aria immediately.
just flashed and didnt get passed boot screen haha
If you're using cwm 3.x you have to flash full wipe before install. It's easy to get everything working and have a useable phone but it won't ring and Jo audio. I put mine on vibrate. Ha!

Yes, Its Works, You can use this add-on to convert the info of the phone of DHD to Inspire 4G and Fix the Sound, Install the DHD Rom and install this: http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&drKey=1359&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D1065527&v=1&libid=1306162312918&out=http%3A%2F%2Fleedroid.ftp.rshost.eu%2FDHD-Addons%2FGB_Patch_DHD_to_Inspire4G.zip&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fforumdisplay.php%3Ff%3D1018&title=%5BROM%5DLeeDrOiD%204G%20V3.0.3%20GB%20%5BKERNEL%5D%20V3.1.1%20%3EEPIC!%3C%2020th%20May%20%7C%20Official%20GB%20%7C%20TV%20Anim%20-%20xda-developers&txt=%3CU%3EConvert%20DesireHD%20%26gt%3B%20Inspire%204G%20(FTP)%3C%2FU%3E
I am using TB Fusion1.1.2 as well and the audio works it is just distorted during calls on my Inspire 4G. Will the audio fix repair that? also, in the area I live in the southern US, I am constantly going between 2g and 3g networks. Is there any way to get the Inspire style 5-bar signal indicator WITH the data available icon (G,E, or H+ over a white check mark when not connected) to indicate which data network is available? This is a very useful thing to me as I frequently connect and disconnect from the internet. I know Inspired Ace has the inspire customizations but I like this ROM as it has the Sense 3.0 features. Is there an easier way to get the inspire's signal indicator without downloading the Inspired Ace ROM and copying and flashing its /system/app/systemui.apk file to my current ROM?
Thanks
Awesome, thanks!!!

Okay it does fix the call audio. Probably a noob question there I just know in the initial root desire hd stock Rom broke sound completely. But after flashing this DHD ROM mine still worked. Anyway its fixed completely. Now to fox that signal indicator. I will post details if I fix it.

The euro DHD and Telus DHD/AT&T Inspire 4G have different radios/different firmware which is the reason for the audio fix. I've used the same CM7 audio fix with all DHD ROMs with the exception of any Kingdom ROMs....they require a different fix which can be found in the forums.

another ROM another day
could some one post a link for the audio fix please...thanks!
NVM found it...
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but why are these two devices sub forums not put together? I am coming from a Desire Z and they eventually combined the sub forum with the G2 and all works perfectly. I just think it would be more useful. Or is the audio thing a big enough issue to keep the two apart?

That is impossible....DHD and Inspire have different hardware (basebands are different) so if you want a DHD you should use a DHD and trade it for the inspire
I have noticed that when I flash HTC Desire HD Roms on my Inspire 4G that I am always missing some of the 700Mb+ of memory that my device has. Is the rom still using all of it, or am I actually loosing any performance boost as a result?

Every ROM is going to utilize a different amount of memory. On Android Revolution, I only had around 100mb free with all my apps installed. Now on Sabsa Prime, I have over 200mb.
Moved to Q & A section. Thanks!

Hello all,
I have seen that many custom ROMs boast built-in two way call recording.
I have Endymion v3.1 installed and would like to know how to record a call.
Anybody?

No problem, just download this software and, run, and give superuser permission
download
Works! Thanks.
But is there any way of not recording every call, but having a menu option when in call to record?

Does anyone have two way call recording working on the hox? Either on stock or custom Rom or kernels? I understand that there is a patch that was created for the international version but haven't seen anything on this end...
Supposedly the devs can cook a patch into the kernel that would fix the issue of only recording on one end, but again I haven't seen it for this version of the hox.

I haven't noticed a significant change in headphone sound with Sense 5. Also to be clear, are we talking wired headset, or Bluetooth?
As to the fix, you've already been instructed (several times) how to downgrade to Sense 4+ in timmaaa's n00b thread; if that is what you want to do.
Alternately, you can try an equalizer app, or flash a custom AOSP ROM with DSP Manager, to see if tweaking helps at all.
Don't see the point in starting 2 new threads, for essentially the same question.
I Meant Wired Headset & Turn Beats Off then volume will be very low as compared to sense 4 when we turn beats off
Is it necessary to s off or should i just unlock bootloader & install sense 4 rom via recovery?

Someone on here commented that the volume is artificially reduced when Beats is off, to make you think that Beats magically makes the music "louder". I'm not sure if this applies only to Sense 5, or if its something that was there before, but maybe made more pronounced with Sense 5. If you don't like the equalizer profile of Beats, maybe you can use an equalizer app (as I already suggested) to tweak it more to your liking, while keeping the "higher" volume level made possible by having Beats on.

You've asked the same question in timmaaa's n00b Q&A thread. Its really confusing when you jump back and forth between threads. Folks may end up needlessly duplicated efforts. This is the reason why you shouldn't create or post the same questions in multiple threads ("cross posting"). I'll keep my answers to the bootloader unlock question in the n00b Q&A thread.
Ok and kindly tell about ur hd phone's hd video playback & reply me in ask anything thread too please
