Screen capture apps? - T-Mobile LG G2x

Does anyone know of a screen capture app that works with the G2x?
Drocap2 and ShootMe, among several others, simply do not work. The capture is a black image.
TIA (Do people still say/do that?)

the android sdk works

Screenshot er2 works perfect for me. I am running cm7 rc1

i tried dropcap and shootme didnt work. but i was testing out the bad romance alpha rom so that may have been the problem.

Its built in to stock and stock-based roms. Just press home+power buttons at the same time.

i guess you lose that function whenever you flash a 2.3 rom.

I'm sure the official gingerbread update will keep that functionality.

I'm running Bionix RC1 on my G2x and I can still do Home+Power Screenshot.

Where can I find a file to get multiple lock screen mods for Samsung captivate running official froyo ROM? If there is a file to flash using CWM recovery then please give the link here. Thanks

There's a thread in development. I'd link it to you but I'm using the app and can't get the link. Title is something like: [mod][kb1] Six lock screens.

I am at the same question Antonyvijai.
How can I put this on my phone (AT&T 2.2 KB1 Froyo + Root + Supercurio's KB1 + Voodoo + CWM Recovery)
If I need to deodex, a link to a how to would be awesome!
Question 2, does flashing this mod remove any themeing I have installed?

Absolutely. Having a guide will help us a lot. Last thing we need is an hard bricked captivate

Ok, I googled the phrase "deodex android".
It looks like the 3rd result is a HOW-TO (it is titled that anyway). So I am off to read this! I'll let you know what happens later.
I still need to know if flashing this mod will wipeout my matted blue theme!
Thanks!
UPDATE:
I read the link. I am going to try this, however, I do not have the time right now (have a "real" job I am late for already!) If anyone tries this, post here to let us know the result!

That I know / understand now! So, won't have that question anymore. In the adb shell command I see it is referring to ext3. I flashed voodoo lagfix injected kernel and somewhere I read it changes it to ext4 or something like that ..is it something I need to watch at least or it doesn't matter too! Also, do you know any other method to deodex? Like through a root app...

Question about cameras.

I am trying to get the camera that Faux uses in his AOSP. 2.3.5, to work on the Weapon rom. I pulled the apk but it won't install. It worked fine on my Cliq with a 2.3.4 rom. I like that camera because you can use volume buttons to take pic and it snaps off the pic very quickly. Any ideas? Thanks

You may have to put it in the system.app folder of the ROM zip and flash it again. Also remove the camera in the ROM zip first.

[Q] dumb miui question

I see that the rom is listed as 2.x.x, can I run this under 2.3.3?

Maybe, But i would NOT.
U can always just Wipe/Factory...wipe Cach and delvik and flash the rom get the bootloop and flash again. It should work.
but other will say be safe return to stock and go from there. either way you CAN get MiUi on your phone

No i was only saying that if you were trying NOT to go back to stock.....Miui will flash a kernel over the stock one. and sometimes Bootloops(does for me 90% of the time) then u just pull the batt and hold the three finger recovery pose....and reflash.
then you should be good.

Cool, so ill just flash over what I've got and see what happens. 2 more questions than I'm done, what's the fix for getting recovery mode to work on miui, and what is your opinion on the rom? I tried it a few weeks ago, the big thing I didn't care for was not having an app drawer, I know I can make folders but I just prefer the drawer.

i think you can get an app drawer on Miui if you use a Launcher.
i like it, more than Cm7 for now......i dont mind the querks, and feel comfy enough with my phone that i can get around those.

If you're rooted, there's an app called ShootMe that lets you take screenshots pretty easily. No need to flash a different ROM. Unfortunately the developer removed it from the Market, but I'm sure you can find the apk flying around the internet somewhere.
If you cannot find it, pm me

this may seem like a crap answer. but if you can wait for 2 months, ICS will have native screenshot capibility
You can also do it without rooting. App is called No Root Screenshot It. But it's not very easy en takes a long time to actually take a screenshot.

MIUI has a screen capture feature built-in.
I don't use MIUI myself but Google tells me the shortcut is:
Screen Shot: Press "Menu" key and "Volume Down" key at the same time to print a screen. The printed image is saved in the directory of MIUI in the sd card.
I don't know which alteration you're using but if that doesn't work, ask the developer of the ROM or check his changelog and see which command combo works.

[Q] Stock Camera App

When I playback video that I had recorded, it displays very small and only gives an option to stretch the playback extremely to fill the screen. I've noticed that the camera app is not the same pretty one that I am seeing on youtube.
Here a pic of my G2x camera.
View attachment 1038022
I'm running 2.3.3
I have done a factory reset and no change
I have tried recording at all resolutions and no change
How can I fix this?
Did you recently update the phone, or did this just happen out of no where?
I bought it used and didn't update anything. I remember the camera looking like this when I got it before I did a factory reset.
Have you tried downloading different camera apps from the market to test?
If still nothing works then you probably have to replace the camera. It isn't hard to do though.

No worries, at this point I'm not too sure whether you're rooted your device or not.
If not, google rooting Android and decide if you wanna carry on that way. Same applies for flashing CWM/mods/ROMs, as buru stated as well, google it and decide whether it is for you or not.
As for CWM recovery, check this thread:
