Hey guys.. i know im a idiot...
but yea.
heey, today I tried to install a samsung Captivate ROM on my samsung galaxy S.
acually i didn't read the title to the rom i saw in youtube.. so it wuz my fault.
but now my Home button is not working. and it is something that I use most frequently. I've tried everything to get it to work. but i can't..
My charger is not working now when i plug it into my phone its shuts down everytime i plug it on.. even when I plug it to my USB or charger its shuttin down.. its waiting like 2 secs. and then its just shuts down. my screen gets black and my phone turns off..
I can not get into download recovery mode anymore .. and
into Recovery Mode/ClockWork/ 1Click Stuff... the clockwork or something ..
I might be able to fix it if my USB or charger did work.
but no. so the only thing that i could do is to come and ask you forum.
please help a idiot like me..
Im never gonna put a "Samsung Captivate ROM" on my Galaxy s.
anymore i promise! Cuz thats wuz just the ****test thing i ever could do.

Yea man, I am in the same boat as you right now. Phone has been working awesome for the year that I had it. This morning I downloaded peggle from the amazon app store, started the app, shot one ball and the phone powered off.
No dice on the power lights. No booting. The closest I can get is the white screen that says HTC Evo on it. It flashes on for a split second and then dies out again.
I am assuming the phone is bricked? Probably headed to Best Buy tonight to have it swapped out. I have my insurance through them.
Phone not turning on at all, had status 7 problem then tried flashing firmware to fix it and now it doesnt turn on!
Pls help!!
Does it display the battery when charging? Have you tried pulling the battery out for a few minutes? Have you tried getting it into download mode?

No battery well charging! no luck pulling out the battery! Download/bootloader not working. ****
I had an bricked Samsung Galaxy I9000. The only thing i could do was to build an JIG to get into Download-Mode. this should also work with the Nexus S. Just search in Google for Samsung Galaxy bricked JIG (Sorry not allowed to post links). I hope it helps!
Hi Guys,
Need urgent help!!!
I wanted to update Samsung Infuse from 2.2.1 to 2.3.5. I used Odin and I997UCKI4-Homebinary.tar.md5 but it got stuck at image.gz something. Even if i plug it to charger, still it flashing white light. In Odin, i am getting removed, added, removed, added, removed......continuosly. It seems like infuse is restarting continuosly. i tried plugin cable in pc, pressing both volume but nothing is working,

Finally, I got the white screen blinking problem solved by JTAG. I took my phone to repair shop to just see if its quick fix and he used JTAG(http://www.jtagbox.com) to reload the corrupt bootloader. All the problem was due to corrupt bootloader

I was in your shoes unitl lady luck hit me..do you have access to a samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket battery..
Ok this is kinda silly, but it happened.
I was charging my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT something (UK version) via the chargeable USB port on my Samsung n150 notepad with the laptop switched off. During this time I was playing N.O.V.A 3 on my Galaxy S3.
As I was playing I switched the laptop on. As the phone was already charging via the USB I didnt think there would be a probably. But when Windows booted to my log in screen, the phone froze and switched off. Now my Galaxy will not switch on. I can only get it to charge and thats all.
Please help!!

Wait so you have the international version? Shouldn't you post this in that forum? This is Verizon.

Agreed and that is strange how that worked op. Never heard of anything like that. Tried a battery pull I assume?
Sent from a strange blue box hurtling through time and space.
Need more info first. Can you get into DL mode? Recovery? The only thing I could think of would be a power surge when you turned the laptop on caused the phone to fail (highly unliklely).
While browsing through our list of threads reported as 'Newsworthy' for the XDA Portal, I just came across this one. I wonder whose big idea was to report it as newsworthy. Whoever that was needs a healthy dose of common sense.
PS: Mods, can you please move it to the appropriate forum i.e. the one for the international version?
Happened to a Verizon GS3
My Verizon GS3 was turned completely unresponsive (absolutely dead), with no boot of any sort after I unplugged and then plugged in a USB DAC (Fiio E7). I had been using the E7 for several days but today connecting it to the GS3 through USB To Go killed it.
I have read other instances of the same phenomenon.
My girlfriend is still using her s2 still she loves her phone but now suddenly the phone stopped working.. it wont boot into recovery or download mode to flash new rom.. also I checked with 3-4 batteries.. any solution for this or the end of story?
pls help me out guys
thanks
It looks like your phone just died. Thats funny. Check if your Phone charges or not when you connect it to a charger. If its not charging. Then its probably a Hardware problem like water chocking etc. If its charging then we can proceed Further. Don't forget to put A working battery in your phone.
