Hi guys n girls,
Just wondered if i could get a little help with choice of upgrade, just to get the best of the market at the present time.
This is for my partner due a free upgrade on orange network she's looking at the HTC range or is there better ? Currently she has a Samsung Galaxy.
What would be the recommended model from you guys for easy navigation, decent apps. Does the phone need modding to get best out of the phone battery life usage etc ?
If so, Is this an easy mod ?
Thanks in advance.
Orange network, so I am guessing you are in Europe? I do not know when it will be released over there, but you should google HTC EVO 3D.

I have my android ordered and arriving tomorrow at the store. I haven't paid yet, however I'm fully planning to. I would however like to know what the current users think about their phones. What do you like about it? Are there any good games for it? Can it do any crazy things? I am moving from a touch HD (I broke mine yesterday) to the magic. I'd like to hear some stories as to why it's a good move.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Caid.

I've been having my phone for almost two weeks now, and I just got the time to do something with the phone, exams were taking up a lot of time and stuff like that.
But it seems like it is a super nice phone. New roms with altered content pop out all the time, new applications in the market are appearing rapidly. The community is also pretty big and it is fairly easy to get help with your phone. This is probably the best phone I have owned so far. You are able to do so much with it, a lot of costumisation and so on.
I inted to take a look at the API for the apps and start to make my own pretty soon, I am looking forward to that and to have my apps in the market and be used by other people.
I'd say get one. The only cons is the black Magic gets greasy a bit fast. The Hero might handle this better since it has a teflon coating.
The Google Ion I (bought it in early June) works great for me right now. It does what I need in a mobile device (emails - POP, IMAP, and Exchange, internet, fun apps, tethering, and etc). It's easier to flash so I could use different ROM's. The main thing is that it's an unlocked/unbranded 3G phone for T-Mobile US. We don't have that many here to chose in the US for T-Mobile customers (2 only - Google Ion & Pharos Traveler 137, a WM6.1 phone).

If you dont mind me asking... can you please let us know where you bought your Google Ion? Also does it work with the T-Mobile US 3G netowrk. I am looking to get one... I just sold me Touch HD and wanted to get the Rhodium (TP2), but Iam also interested in the Android device. Since the Hero does not work on the Tmobile bands, I would like to get the this one.. But Tmoble US is delaying the release. So looking at other options..
thanks for your help in advance.
I bought it on local craigslist and yes it works with T-Mobile 3G.
I have recently sold off my HTC Legend on ebay India as i was getting sick of no developer support for the legend & now i am back again in the market for a new phone . Since i live in India we have limited options here .I have listed what i have with a poll , Help me out . If you know something better , please voice your suggestions :
Depends on what you want. People are here are probably going to push you away from the iphone, but in my opinion its still a great phone. Its not that open to customization the way the nexus one might be, but still a good choice.
My only gripe with the iphone 4 is that its way too delicate & there's even the reception issue
I purchased a HTC smart when it was release and i'm not so satisfied with the BrewMP OS. Is there a possibility of installing Windows Mobile 6, 6.1 or 6.5 in this?? PLs help me out

No its not. Why buy a phone with features that the manufacturer DELIBERATELY retards?
I would go for the HTC Desire or a samsung Galaxy,
Stay with xda and get the HTC Nexus or Desire (almost identical)!
Hi,
google led me here and i saw that questions like this were answered pretty well here, so ill try my luck.
i found the htc aria on the HTC US website and i like it pretty much. its just like an HTC hd mini with android.
i doubt it will come out in europe since we have the hd mini and wildfire here.
unfortunately the aria is AT&T exclusive.
i found out that you can buy the phone at retail price in the US and unlock it.
so im wondering if it would be working here in europe (germany).
will i have the full functionality in europe?
will i get updates such as android 2.2?
will the branding of the phone restrict anything?
ps: i know the phone is pretty new but i hope there might be someone who can help
I`m also searching for new phone and fell in love with the Aria in a video review I found in youtube. So would this phone be operational in EU or will there be something similar for EU rolling out from HTC soon?
Hi guys, can you help?
I need to upgrade my phone, presently a rather slow and left behind Vodafone Magic. Running 2.2.1, just shows up how slow the phone is now. Too much lag.
I'm not adverse to rooting phones etc, but generally can't be bothered. So I want to go along to Vodafone and upgrade to best phone I can without taking out £35/month contracts (at present paying 20-25)
Android seems to be a decent choice, as it's continuing to develop, and I do like having my Google contacts/calendar/email easily linked.
The choices look to be:-
i-phone 3gs (possibly, although this may be at high end of costs)
HTC Desire
HTC Legend
Sony Erricson X10
Google (HTC) Nexus One
I am angling towards the Nexus one, but just wondered if other people could let me know if it really is a good phone, and that it doesn't lag as badly as my present one. I am also guessing as it is already running 2.2, then it will shortly be upgraded to 2.3 once Google start putting it out to older phones.
Would this be a good choice?
Cheers, Steve
I have HTC Desire one year ago and this is the best phone until my next phone HTC Desire HD
It's hard to chose of this phones
I would go with the Legend or the Nexus One.
Hey everyone, I got my hans on a HTC paradise, it´s a slider htc phone phone that never got to the see the light. A prototype. The rom, on beside the clock says HTC CONFIDENTIAL... like a watermark. It´s fully functional, including 3g with at&t bands. And it´s just lying around. I haven´t used it much since i don´t want to brick it because there isn´t any roms or apps i can revive it with. I was wondering, how much could i sell this phone for? Taking in consideration it´s a prototype and only htc knows how many of these are in the wild. I´m guessing not many since i can´t find anyone selling it
