HTC paradise Question - General Questions and Answers

Hey everyone, I got my hans on a HTC paradise, it´s a slider htc phone phone that never got to the see the light. A prototype. The rom, on beside the clock says HTC CONFIDENTIAL... like a watermark. It´s fully functional, including 3g with at&t bands. And it´s just lying around. I haven´t used it much since i don´t want to brick it because there isn´t any roms or apps i can revive it with. I was wondering, how much could i sell this phone for? Taking in consideration it´s a prototype and only htc knows how many of these are in the wild. I´m guessing not many since i can´t find anyone selling it

Question about phones i can use

I was wondering.. Since i have a contract now with T-mobile, i cant go and get the HTC-diamond or for that matter, any of the HTC phones can i? except the stupid FUGLY g1? or the "raphael"? I liked the original style for the diamond better, like the way its shaped and stuff. Also the HTC -HD looked nice too... could i order a HTC diamond or any of those HTC phones from somewhere and slide my sim card in there? I was looking on the HTC site already but its too confusing...
So basically I figured maybe someone else maybe already has used the diamond. Actually any of those HTC phones like the HD,dual,or cruise with t-mobile as their provider.. and could tell me if that worked or not. Considering my contract isnt due anytime sooon.... and all of "t-mobiles phones" look lame! I have the wing right now, and let me tell you this phone is junk, mainly because of its memory and processor speed. But enough of my babblin, any help would be aprreciated guys. Thanks!
I would recommend to start here: http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdachooser
And then try to search in your selected device specific thread
Good luck!
you sure can get the htc fuze (at&t's version of the htc touch pro/raphael) and get it unlocked and do whatever with it... just do your homework and read before you do anything.

Looking for a new smartphone..

Hi guys,
I have had my HTC Tornado for nearly 2 years (Imate SP5).. And i love it to death.. though i'm really thinking about getting a new phone that supports 3g so i can use it for web stuff..
I love HTC and every phone ive had for the past 4 years has been one of them though i am open to suggestions..
I dont want touchscreen cause i find them too fragile and battery life isnt usually great..
Though i want WM5/6 and as i said 3G..
I dont like the current HTC smartphones with their slide out keyboards much.. tho i i dont mind slide/flip.. tho without full keyboard.
The only one that has caught my eye is the Samsung i200..
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thoughts on the HTC Fuze?

Hi, new to HTC phones, been an apple fanboy, but now I'm trying out different phones. I've been eyeing this one, HTC Fuze of late, cause mainly, I don't have a data plan and don't plan on too either. I want to know what owners think about this phone, and I can decide from there.
I mean many youtube comments of reviews over this phone been on both sides, and I mean the phone has been discontinued and people say from all the bugs and problems.
Sway me people on the XDA forums! Are you happy with the choice of this phone and recommend it? Or pull me out of its death trap.
Please comment cause it would really help. Thank you.
Fuze is a pretty good cell phone. It's vga lcd is impressing!!!
I use mine daily for work & leisure with a TAEL ROM, works fine for me I like it.
If you can live without a keyboard it may be worth looking at the Diamond 2.
These devices are good but you do need to more technically capable to get the most from them.
Will be sticking to mine for a while as minimal button & no d-pad devices are ****e in the real world, I have yet to see anyone who can type as fast & error free on a touch keyboard.
I've had my fuze since it came out and i love it. I usually run the latest energy rom on mine though and I didn't like the phone near as much without it. So my advice is if you have a little computer know-how and are willing to read the forums the hardware is just fine and everything is here to make the fuze exactly what you want it to be, well aside from the 1Ghz speed and wvga res of the new gen of phones I'd say go for it
Oh and I second the look at the diamond 2 if you don't need hardware keys cause it has a better blue tooth stack, but no keyboard means I won't buy personally

for around 100 bucks its a really solid phone assuming you only need english load up the latest http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=536751 energy rom(id suggust cookie 23xxx builds) and all those problems disappear (except camera, still as in reviews)
once you put the new roms on it you would think it was released in late 2009
So does any one know what are the best roms and changes?
it all depends on which phone did you previously used...if you have used low level phone..then definately you will like this......i love this phone.....especially when using energy roms.....as previously i had htc opal.....
I had the HTC Fuze and the problem with these phone with a keyboard is that it will eventually break over time. The phone was also thick and heavy. Oh yeah, the D-pad was practically unusable. I dont know if the Touch Pro shares the same problem as the Fuze. Anyways the main thing that got me to sell the phone was the keyboard breaking.
the board will break????

Which phone to buy or not to buy

Ok so i have been an HTC guy for a while now but due to some customer service issues and my lack of excitement surrounding WinMo, i am looking for a new phone.
I have had most recently the Touch HD from HTC and now I have the branded TP2. I love my TP2 but its constantly crashing and i know Win7 is on the way and all kinds of new Android goodies as well.
NOW
my issue is this, i have looked all over the net and seen all types of phones but im not sure what i should look for next.
Is there anything coming that anyone knows of that is worth waiting for?
I have seen the Windows 7 phone due out next month, but its missing an entire row of keys that my TP2 has and I think i kinda like the number row on my qwerty so i think that phone is out. I like the Desire Z but same issue there as well.
Is there anything coming from another vendor maybe with Android that has a keyboard on it? What about the Nokia phones, the resolution is not as good but what about the phones?
I just hate to spend a load of $ like i have in the past on these UK versions of the phones only for them to suck like 6 months later.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
**Also some internal memory would be nice as well
**I also need to use the phone in the UK so the Droid stuff is not usable
thanks

[Q] Should I buy the HD2? Jan 11

Hi guys.
i know some people will say this has been asked before, but i am posting from the date from today.
I want to buy a HD2, but i don't know whether it is the right time...
Because now it has the success of WP7 and Android, I'm wondering if ti is still worth it. The hardware seems abit old now, but it is essentially the same as a HD7.
ATM, i have a TG01, (snapdragon 1GHz WINMO, resistive) So i'm experienced with the speed But however, in our forum, there are soo few active members and cooks - not much support. the resistive touchscreen and Also the lack of RAM is driving me insane. (only 55mb on boot with sense 2.5 + winmo 6.5.x) So one reason of the HD2 is the RAM and the screen... On the other hand i have a tab. It isnt just mine specifically it is my family's. So i dont get to use it all the time and personalize it. (the orange san francisco isnt mine anymore btw, i gave it to my brother)
So i only really have a TG01. I have been using Winmo for a long time, but now everyone is making the switch to Android. So if i get the HD2, will i have good battery life performance etc. I will probs be using WP7 and Android. Is WP7 working perfectly yet? i know we can access the live sevices but will microsoft be continually be patching it? All my friends are using android.. should i use android on the HD2 or just get an android device?
And the hardware... do you think it is still powerful enough? how much longer will the community last for? When i got my Tg01, within 3 months the XDA forum was empty! they all sold and got an Android device or HD2.
So i get it know will the timing be right? Will devs still be cooking for WM and upgrading Android etc? Or will they move on? Because i see alot of members selling their HD2 for a DHD or other android devices. I dont think i can afford a DHD...
I'm really stuck here... I don't know if i should get the device or not... Should i wait? Or wait for what device? I know when the dual cores come out, they will be far too expensive!
Where can i get a cheap HD2 from? Can any one point me to one £150-£180?
Thank you to all who reply!
