I found this on the net, find it very interesting while hoping that this is true and will be released soon.
I dunno if the new is true tho' ....

Hmm, seems fake and gay...

Better than Windows Phone...

nokia + android its a nice combination...

Interesting.... Ill have to look in to this

very nice combo

I'm very excited about this. Nokia's quality in their high-end devices has always top notch! I can't wait to see a nokia device with a good OS on it...

Interesting....

New HTC Android Device

I didn't see any other thread for this so:
http://theunlockr.com/2009/10/16/what-new-htc-android-phone-is-this/
Wonder what it could be?
It's the HTC Zoom 2 (HTC Dragon). Spec's say maybe released Dec. 2009:
http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=2067&c=htc_zoom_2_htc_dragon
Looks like the Android version of the HD2 many people have been wishing for. Nice to have choices right?
Hm, I really hope it's not. Don't really like the looks of it.
Though IF it is the HTC dragon, it would be easier for me to choose the HD2 (out sooner + sexier ). It is a shame though, as I would have enjoyed trying out Android. Ah well... maybe next time.
Is it me or do the pictures look rather stretched. The screen looks way too long and narrow. It's not proportined right. The looks aren't that great either.
If this is the Android-version of the HD2, then they really screwed up the design, It looks like **** compared to the Touch HD2.
Plus its much bigger with that added chin for the trackball.
They should add the trackball between the buttons and skip that bottom chin.
What you all complaining about? I think it looks great.

It's not ugly. It just doesn't look as nice as the HD2 in my opinion.
Ok Someone else call Shananigans with me.......... This is more than a likely photoshopped Samsung Moment. Look at them both.

looks like the HTC Eris with a few slight changes:

Yeah. But the eris is supposedly the Verizon Hero. So why they are pushing the moto Droid more than that IDK. Probably cause the screen aint no 4.3 inches.
Would be cool if the Eris was the Dragon though. But IDK.
http://phonedog.com/cell-phone-rese...ee-k-i-s-s-say-android-phones-are-coming.aspx
Screen doesn't look big enough neither does the device. The phone the other guy is hodlding is the Droid.
So mebe they took the Eris/Desire and photoshoped that picture so the screen was stretched and phone look bigger? Look at how stretched the Android bot is in one of those pictures where it's in landscape mode.
That phone looks like a shopped Droid Eris which is basically a Verizon Hero. Moto Droid all the way though.
Why soooo much of hoax circulating around. Just like with Leo b4 it ws announced?
It wont be called Dragon or Passion, but Bravo and its expected to be released late Q1, early Q2 of 2010 wearing 3.7'' and not 4.3 screen and many others....

Nobody spoken about an Android-based HD2 and neither did I. I just said that the device which the topic/thread is about (and so are the photos which are circulating) will be released as i have priorly stated on end of March (Q1) start of April (Q2) of 2010, as i have seen all the devices portfolio live, on my hands, a week ago.
Any idea what CPU its running? I like the idea of an android handset, but not if its using the same old MSM as my current TD2.

Guys, the forthcoming on April 2010, Android handset which will be finally called as HTC Bravo has nothing to do with the picture which was circulation over the net for quite a while. The device looks great from any point of view and as member nizzon correctly stated before, i can confirm to all of you, that the rounded red-coloured trackball will be between the buttons at the bottom of the device. The device is slim with perfect design and with really nice specs.
Wrongly many stated that Bravo is the Android side of Leo (HD2) as the only same feature which is maintained from Leo is the Snapdragon QSD 8250 1GHz CPU and many others have been added in advanced as the HD 720p Video caprure.
Will post you shortly exclusively 1-2 pictures to have a look, along with the offcial specs known so far
That sounds awesome dude!

Shortly...? Where are the pictures, then???
Im sorry i haven't posted it so far but will do it as my work was pilled up and to be honest nobody showed interest so far, thats why i skipped it as well. To be honest what i will provide, are scanned brochured images, as these are the only ones found out there, but will open a new thread, specifically for HTC Bravo and us usual...exclusively here on xda.devs

I jus' wanna say...

...that I Love This Site! I've been a Nokia-Symbian user for the past 2 years or so. I've owned 5 of their phones. The HD2 changed that. I may seem kinda shallow, but I love it's "ridiculously large" and beautiful screen. Then, I discoverd ROMS. I used to hack my Nokia phones, but that falls a bit short of the feeling upon installing a new rom...it's a whole new galaxy. I love it! Thank you all for the crash course in Windows/HTC. I have learned alot in a month. Maybe one day I will be a head chef. Thank you to all the developers for the great apps. This is the Grandfather of all sites. Nokia who I think that's all I wanted to say.

Nokia had a good start - and they still make amazing phones. I have an e70 I still play with and STILL blows a lot of phones away. Infrared ftw - why does no one else include it? But Symbian is just too old now and it doesn't progress enough imho. Yea, if I came across a good, recent Nokia phone for a decent price - I'd buy it to play with. It's not going to replace my Android, though.

Never heard of it. But, if it was N series it was better than an E70. So I can only assume it was a damn good phone.

Nokia pushes out phones too fast, imho.

is there a lack dev support for the nexus S ?

Will the Nexus S get developer support?
I currently have a Vibrant but plan on getting the S. I notice there are SO MANY different roms for the N1. IE: MIUI ports, etc. What is everyone's stance on this? Will any of the N1 devs move to N-S?
Please, no anti-Samsung haters. I'm asking a serious question.
Thanks!

I currently have a nexus one. And my next phone will be largely based on its development community. To me this is what makes the nexus truly what it is.
The Community.
That's why I would like to know. I love the dev's for the Vibrant too but the sheer number of amazing dev's in the N1 section is astounding. I'd love to think they will work on the N-S as well.
I most likely will NOT go for the Samsung Nexus 2, solely because it's NOT a Google Developer Phone.
I was pretty upset when the Nexus title went to a Samsung device. I've got nothing against Samsung, but I think that Google should have stuck with HTC as their Android Dev Phone manufacturer.
The Nexus "X" line of Android phones should stay with ONE manufacturer.
Motorola should have the entire Droid line of phones, just as HTC has the entire line of MyTouch phones.
Just my dos-centavos
Wasn't the plan for the NS to be the next developer phone? Just because it's not HTC doesn't mean it's not going to be good. Google most likely has their thumb on this phone to make sure everything goes as THEY want it to. I don't see Samsung messing this up with Google taking care of the updates. All the software is being updated through google.

I didn't mean to come across as that being my opinion.
Before coming to Android, I loved my Windows Mobile phones. My old Tilt, Dash, Shadow. So I'm just partial to HTC.

Oh, trust me. I like HTC too! I also had the Shadow and the G1, my brother has the Hero. The Shadow, 2007 seems like such a long time ago when I look at my Vibrant. Haha.
If the NS is going to be given all the new software updates before the N1, I think there's a really good chance that N1 ROM devs will move to the NS.
Even if it doesn't, though, the NS will definitely get a wide range of XDA support solely because it's a Google phone.
Personally, I was going to hold off on getting the NS to find a better successor to my N1, but then I heard rumors that Samsung scrapped the original model to make it a dual-core...so maybe.
Ofcourse it will, because its the latest Google phone. And nexus1 will lost a lot of support, because most people will move to Google's latest phone - Nexus S.
Until it's announced and officially declared as ADP4, it can only be compared to G2 - which will give you a good estimate.
The Nexus S will be the next developer phone, and will most likely get all Android updates first. I'm ready to jump ship. The Nexus 1 was great, but it also has it's problems.
I watched not too long ago a youTube video.
The Google Developer did not say he had a Nexus S but it matched the pictures seen in rumors.
Questioned he said there would be no Nexus 2 but this is the Nexus S
I think the Nexus S is real, it will be seen and announced soon.
When it is released Google will be using the device for future Android development, the Nexus One will be pushed aside.

Yes I understand that but what I find confusing, then is the whole post.
Everybody knows it is real the next develop phone seems like it is given it will have developer support.

We know its the next "google" phone. People seem to be unsure whether it will be officially a "developer" phone.
Since the rumors have been pointing towards a retail launch (not just the google.com/phone) I think people are just assuming its going to be more of a "consumer" phone rather then a "developer" phone like the Nexus One was.

It's speculation. But if the rumors of dual-core Cortex A9 are true then it seems likely. Also, the greatness that is Google, we can hope that they insist this next phone is dual-core and have optimized Gingerbread for such. Why on Earth would you not switch phones!
This forum will be demanding quad-core by the end of 2011 or sooner. It's natural. So thank you Nexus 1 and G1 for the progress you have brought us. RIP
If it has "fastboot oem unlock" then it is sure to attract devs right away! That's what was awesome about the N1! No time wasted on looking for an exploit.

oh yeah. Totally forgot about that! Cyanogen tweeted that, I remember

has anyone used the n9?

has anyone used the n9? opinions? nokia is trying really hard with marketing the n9, i see it everywhere, tv adds, google, even as a banner on top of this forum. is it any good ?
What OS is it? Did they get rid off Symbian?? I am also quite interested actually. Share your thoughts people =)
The N9 is on my wish list, have played with it hands-on a couple of times and love it.. It's not the king when it comes to specs but the new OS is what sucks me in..
It's running a new OS called Meego, in the briefest of descriptions you only have 3 screens, 1) The currently used app 2) Multittasking 3)Notifications.. You simply swipe to go between the screens.. and its extremely smooth too..
Supports a 8mp camera (Carl Zeiss) which is more then enough for great pictures, and the use of the new Nokia 360 NFC speaker is quite amazing..
It also supports full length mp3 ringtones!! haha..
I could write an essay on this phone but I'll leave it to the above, in total it's the newest thing out, its a new OS which makes it exciting, just keep in mind that with all 'new' operating systems may come certain bugs within the OS that havn't been ironed out but Nokia have always been quick to clean it up also the market is said to be quite small at this stage but meh..
Hope this helps,
MVP
The phone looks really nice and the os looks smooth from what I've seen, but Nokia have already come out and said that this will be the only meego phone it brings out.

Thats very interesting, I got N9 just because I don' want to play with ****ty, buggy and laggy android. It's working faster and better than every dual-core droid, even it has GPU from 2005.
Anyway I wanted to point-out again, a beautiful triple boot phone deserves it's own thread...
cool
