I asked this question previously on the Q&A section with no luck, so I guess it is not possible yet, as I have asked about and tested several calendar apps.
What I would like is a calendar app where you can change the notification sound for each calendar event, so I get the oppotunity to select a custom sound for each event (e.g. the stock notification sounds or some I have transfered to the phone myself).
It would also be nice if You could preconfigure categories to have different notification sounds. e.g., I have a category called family, school, and so on. Then I would like to set a sound for each category.
Dont know if it is possible, but I would be glad if it was, and someone is up for it

I was thinking it's be pretty slick to have a widget that displays your frequent calls on the home screen like the tab inside dialer, something that updates as your calls change, doesn't seem like it would be terribly difficult to code.
does something like this possibly exist already?

I know of a way to create a folder with favorite callers.....but not a widget
in contacts long press on contact place them in favorites.
long press homscreen create a folder pick starred contacts.
I was actually talking about the "frequently callerd" under the favorites. Those are changing all the time, so it'd be slick if you could have a widget that auto updates as well.
I have a hd2 and sync my calendar with outlook and I also use htc sense ui. Is it possible to have an appointment in my calendar but hide it from the today and lock screen? I've tried privacy settings etc but it still shows up. Googled this alot and found nothing!
No, this is not possible as far as I know.
I don't know a solution for this, but what you can do is setting up an alarm, which almost does the same as an appointment. You can add a description, etc, but it'll only show up when you want it.
thanks. I'd like to be able to keep a record of the entry and not sure setting an alarm will help with this.
I cant, for the life of me, figure out how to change the notification for calendar events. Its different than the regular notification tone. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

OMG you CAN'T. Yet another reason to hate the Samsung Calandar implementation. the AOSP calendar lets you set custom notifications for events.
You can change it, but it's not easy and requires root.
The file name is 22_On_time.ogg
It can be modified with root access.
1.- Every calendar appointment while screen is locked shows up with title, then the calendar date, then time , and below it all "ID Studio Room"
2.- The lockscreen calendar reminder does have a "dismiss" button, however, when dragging it to the ring, it does open the task

It's a real annoyance when meeting locations (usually room #s) cannot be shown because it sticks on some random ID Studio Room for all calendar events. Also, it's annoying that dismissing an event via the lockscreen opens it up just as it does when you view it.
Does anyone have a suggestion for solving this matter? It appears to occur on multiple ROM's running Sense 3.0.
I'm using ARHD 6.1.3 and it's been a problem with all of the releases of this trunk of said ROM. I've seen the problem on other ROM's as well.
Numerous others have mentioned this in other threads.

Title says it all. Is there any way to have the calendar reminders on the AT&T HTC One X only vibrate? As far as I can tell, either there is NO reminder, or it's vibrate/ring. There is no way to select "silent" for "default notification". And the only two choices for "alerts & notifications" are "alert" or "status bar notification". The only solution I can think of is to add an additional ringtone that is a blank .mp3 track and call it "silent". But it seems strange that HTC would not have the ability to have vibrate only for a calendar reminder.
