[Q] CallRecord Problem with Different Kernels - HTC Inspire 4G

I am running AR 5.1.10 with Lees kernel 3.1.2 and the CallRecord App.
I have been trying to experiment with different kernels. Even the newr kernels from Lee that support CallRecord. All seem to have the same issue running with AR. When a call is received the Phone app FC's. I also tried the Unity Kernels by MDJ with the same result.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and found a way around it to experiment with different kernels. Lees 3.1.2 works well as a OC but as always i am looking to tinker to make it better. I have tried to freeze the CallRecord App but it does the same thing.
Any thoughts?

[Q] Any ICS ROMs with stock GPU settings?

Currently running the EOS 4g nightly. I am having alot of problems with laggy scrolling and screen performance with games and the browser. I tried installing the Franco kernel also, but hasn;t made a difference.
Is there a tool that will allow me to change teh GPU settings? I have setCPU and do not see any GPU mods available.
I'm not aware of any apps that will do what you're looking for. I was getting random screen corruption with the gpu oc kernels so I recompiled the kernel without overclock. Unless someone knows a way to do it, you might have to compile a kernel with the gpu options you want.

[Q] leedroid 5.1

just flashed 5.1 and then patch.cant find cpu settings, shouldnt that be under tweaks?
Havent used lee in a while. Check for an app. Setcpu - deamon controller - something like that. Dont remember if you can tweak those things in his rom.
Sent from a dream.
yes i used rom toolbox, just found it strange that it wouldnt be under tweaks. coming from cm7 that had a million settings to this rom that only has a few settings
Sense roms as miui tend to have less tweaking options.

Flash Video Fullscreen broken since ICS

im using the revolution HD 3.0.0 rom and have tested this with 4 different browsers, but ever since I got ICS i cannot use flash video in fullscreen anymore. windowed works fine but assoon as i want to expand to fullscreen, no matter what website, the sreen just stays completely white or black but the sound still runs.
already searched the forum, none of the hreads offer any solutions.
anyone else havint his isse and know any fixes for this? other than that ICS seems to run quite poorly, maybe its the ROm im using but i have frequent app crahes etc.. i want to stay with ICS but it seems very broken.
I have never run into that issue and have used various ICS ROMs for the Transformer.
Hell, I really haven't run into any problems since using ICS based ROMs on the Transformer. I have noticed improvements more so than bugs since updating the Transformer to ICS.
EDIT: I just tested the fullscreen Flash video and it worked perfectly fine. I was able to fullscreen the video and go back to the regular view without any issues. Also resized the webpage to see if it would crash.. nope.
I upgraded to revolution HD 3.2.1 now, still the same issue.
I dont get it.. im using the most recent flash player, wiped the tablöet before upüdating..
so whats different for your tf101? what rom are you on? have you tried several websiteswith flash video?
Yes, and I have used several ROMs. Stock, Revolver, Android Rev, AOKP and now Megatron 1.0.4.
Are you installing some flash .apk you kept around for whatever reason? Or are you downloading it from the Market? If the former, I will smack you.
no im using the flash from the play store so the most recent one
now on revolution 3.2.0, still having the same issue.. any help?
You could try flashing Guevor's Kernel and the Nvidia codecs, they help out flash video play alot.

[Q] Voodoo Sound Plus 4.0.4

Hi guys,
Just wondering if Voodoo Sound Plus works for 4.0.4 ICS? This whole time I've been thinking it worked using the free version, turns out it wasn't ICS compatible according to the description.
I'm using matr1x kernel 20.0 CFS and apparently that came with voodoo sound.. what? Does it mean its in there or not? I'm so confused :S
Voodoo is a modified sound driver and config. Just about every custom kernel includes it and the free app allows you to change settings successfully, with these custom kernels. The paid app can install said driver and config with only root, any kernel. Unsure about incompatibility but for all current ics kernels it all works perfectly if its included.
Thanks for the quick reply mate! I just couldn't really tell the difference when I tick the hi-fi, anti-jitter and DAC direct options, so I assumed it wouldn't work.
Glad to know, read the changelog of matr1x and it says it has it now cheers
What are you doing up so late aussie ftw.
Your welcome. Play music in the background and flick through the phone speaker setting or the bass boost for earphones, you'll notice the difference.
Also, I get the most important work done in the early hours of the morning

[THEMES][TWEAKS] Pimp My ROM

Hey bravo users, I was just browsing through LifeHacker and I found an article about Pimp my ROM. Taken from the XDA post, "Pimp my Rom is an aroma-installer based script that will allow you to choose between a plethora of nice tweaks, mods, apps, themes and features to add to your current rom." Here's the xda post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908269. I'd tell more you about it but I would do a poor job, so just visit the post.
It apparently works with the Defy roms, so it might work with bravo roms as well. I guess I could try it and let you all know if it works. If I do install it, I will edit this post with my results.
Edit: it installed fine, and the tweaks I added work great too! I should mention that I'm using skeevy420's cm7 kang. I recommend it.
some people were reporting that the text on the aroma installer was hard to read. did you encounter that at all?

Nope, the text was just fine. One caveat is that you had to use the volume buttons and power button for selecting everything, but that was no problem.
On another note, I ticked the tweak for faster wifi connecting, and it seems to be working. I also ticked the "faster app loads" tweak and I think it's working, but it's hard to tell since cm7 is already lightning fast. I think the "higher jpg image quality" tweak is working too.
I've been using my phone for about 7 hours today and I've noticed no problems so far. I'd like to know the results from running PmR on JB or ICS, just so we can be sure that it works 100% on Bravo. I might do that later on my PA and ICS nands. Happy tweaking!

weird, I didn't have to use physical buttons.
I'm on Quarx's 9/12 cm10. These are the tweaks I selected:
-better battery consumption
-better jpg image quality
-better camera recording quality
-battery savings
-faster scrolling
-better touch responsiveness
-reduce dialing time
-misc 3g tweaks
-deeper sleep
-smoother online video streaming
-faster wifi connect/disconnect
Everything is pretty responsive, may be just placebo, but hey it works on JB :good:
I tried using it with skeevy420's miui pikachu port and my phone wouldn't boot. It's possible that I selected settings that conflicted with the miui aroma installation settings. I don't recommend using PmR on Miui.

did you use version 2.1.1? The OP said it was faulty.

No I used PmR 2.0, which works fine on cm7.

Which one did you use? HDIP or MDIP?

I used hdpi for my cm7 and cm10. It also worked with PA.
For Miui, I think I forgot to 2nd boot miui properly before I used PmR and that may have had something to do with it. I will try it out tonight to see if rebooting immediately aftet installation will provide the solution.
*edit
I've been using miui for a few days now without installing PmR. I still have no clue what the issue was, but I'm very happy with skeevy420's miui pikachu port without PmR. I suggest you try it if you haven't.
Pimp my Rom is very nice my GPS and scrolling much better:thumbup:

I've been messing around with PmR for the past few days and its great, for the most part. Not everything is compatible, one of the options breaks wifi, and some of the default values it uses aren't the most optimized for the Bravo. Also found a bug with its dns tweak -- it forgot to put a # in the build.prop before its name.
I'm trying out the "high" settings for multitasking, and I think I need to go one step below on those options -- a bit of lag occurred that medium didn't have. Medium worked better with V6 as well. The GPU tweaks don't matter since our CM7 is already fully hw accelerated and the GPU frequencies can't be scaled (yet, kernel limitation). Also noticed some of the sqlite tweaks don't work as expected (tons of errors in the boot logs).
On a side note, I'd rather CM7 have the custom kernel instead of CM10.
//Not flaming on PmR, just pointing out some things that are useless for us\don't work for us.

Do you recall which tweak caused the wifi issue?

No, I'm gonna try and figure it out today. I applied every PmR tweak that I didn't think would break the system; apparently one did :silly:.
UPDATE
The wifi issue is from the tweak Connect and Disconnect Faster; delete the line "ro.mot.eri.losalert.delay=1000" from the build.prop to fix it.
