MIUI Rom & Themes? - T-Mobile LG G2x

I just downloaded and played with this rom an d theme on my SGS vi brant... It is a must have for G2x! How do I get it for this phone!!!!
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App

You wait for it to be ported to this phone.

The developers cannot get it to boot, so they ordered a phone for their developer.
It got delivered to the wrong address so now they are waiting on shipping again.

I also am excited for a MIUI rom on my G2x.

+1 I have it on a couple of HD2's. My kids like the fact that it is different from anything their friends have.

Yea its nice on my MT4G iyd running the smoothest 2.3.4 ever!!!!!!7 I mean really its like its built into the phone!!!! Manufactored smh amazing... Only thing is wifi calling not part of default apps

MIUI and CM are the reasons I jumped on the Android bandwagon back in 2008
I was never too impressed by the stock look (especially pre 2.0 and since Gingerbread took 2 steps forward and three steps back - black notification bar, better looking notification icons a plus, whereas the overall use of green is a negative and the lack of as much polish as we expected) but having had a T-mobile Dash that XDA saved from an early grave I couldn't wait to see what they could do with Android.
Happy Camper...cannot wait for MIUI on my G2X

is there a rough estimation on when we might see MIUI on the G2X?

Official MIUI Rom for Lg Optimus 2X. Maybe for G2X also?

The MIUI Rom team has confirmed that their rom will have a version for the Optimus 2x.
Sure hope it will work on G2x, MIUi is the best custom ROM ever!
gahhh i got soo excited when i saw this thread cuz i thought it was released
but yeah.. there will probably be a G2X version as well
they said "soon" https://twitter.com/#!/miuirom/status/87084522541289472
I loved MIUI on my MT4G...stoked to get it on my G2X
Once the O2x has it, it shouldn't be that far off for us.
I haven't used MIUI in over a year. I'm curious some of the new features.
I am pretty happy with my G2x CM7 + Themed Launcher Pro + CM7 Theme combo I have going on. I just like the big icons of MIUI. The same affect can be applied through ADW Launcher but the Launcher Pro widgets have me hooked.
If LP allowed icon sizing and the number of icons displayed in the launcher bar (default 5) it would be perfect. These affects mostly affect Tablets (larger or more icons) but also phones.
I really can't wait for this to come out, I have been using my vibrant for days now, because I'm hooked on miui. Once this is out for the g2x ill be back on this phone.

miui is the ****! been running it on my wife's mt4g and i will definitely will be rocking it on the g2x. should be here by tomorrow.
cant wait for some MIUI love
The beta ran great. Besides the wifi, SD card glitch, and half of it being in chinese I'm sure this will be the new rom to stay for most g2x users. Miui was all I ran on my HTC HD2 and I'm sure it will be twice as good on the g2x

I would love to try this out but I don't know a word in Chinese.

[Q] Attn Devs: is HTC sense possible?

Developers:
Are any of you working on...perhaps HTC sense 3.0 for the G2X? Is it even possible?
Try searching, this has been asked before.
The short answer is: No. If you want sense then get an HTC device that has it natively
Its actually possible. Its just up to a team of developers to spend countless hours and maybe even months to get it running. I had a Nexus S and it worked, but it was in the beta stages so it wasn't so smooth.

If and when I get a g2x I'll take a look
yes ! but we first need official 2.3
And now that we have a 2.3 release? Anyone working on this perhaps? Just asking. I love Sense but my G2x was free... Sensation 199 under contract. Don't have that at this time otherwise I would definitely have the Sensation. Not that there's anything wrong with the G2x it's a beast. I just really like Sense.
Why don't you just install MIUI? It's comparable to Sense... Except it's better optimized... Sense is a resource hog.
That's true. Sense is a bit if a hog on the system. Where can I find MIUI? I looked through the forums briefly and seems like its not official yet. I did manage to get HTC IME though. That was a huge factor for me. As I do ton of typing on this thing.
While yes, we do have 2.3, we don't have the source code for it. That's what's needed.
It's possible, but going to be very time consuming.
The version 1.8.5 on muiu.us is a pretty stable version. I'm running it currently and happy so far. It is a work in progress however.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. It was ported to the Galaxy S using Cyanogenmod 7 as a base, lots of things broken though.
Yea it would be nice to have a rom w/ sense .....just to say haha! But Really...I have beautiful Widgets n its kind of like having a fake sense homescreen. Or at least port the best of sense to the g2x...would be lovely ...& no I don't want an HTC phone!

I bought my Hero 10/09 as a xmas gift to myself. Lol. It was my first touchscreen phone, and it was terrible. Lol. I had to root it and flash a ROM just to make it usable. Clearly, the dev community is not big on SUI, but I for one miss it. Terribly.
At this point, I've pretty much made up my mind. I'm just trying to decide if I want to sell my G2x or cancel my service with TMo altogether and wait for the HTC Ruby to drop, as I'm a pretty new subscriber. I might be waiting a while, though, cuz I never buy phones at launch. Too many bugs. So that's the only thing with that.
I had the hero too before I knew about rooting.
It was slow come to think of it.
But I really think this phone can handle sense. The g2x specs are up to par and it has handled anything (rom apk cam port etc..) pretty well.

Yeah, but you have to find a dev interested enough to want to port it over. So far, I haven't met a single one.

Looking Forward to Getting my Infuse 4G!

Switched from the Atrix 4G, and had it unlocked and GB 2.3.4 on it.. Hopefully will be getting my Infuse this upcoming week. USPS missent the package to the wrong post office and all that mess. Can't wait to see GB on this amazing device!
Hopefully we will have att gb by then

Or just compile a cm7 build. That's what I am running at the moment and it screams. GtG has a beatiful GB rom also, a bit more stable than cyanogen, only thing it lacks is HDMI out.
You wont be disappointed, the infuse is a beast, both display wise and performance. Easily the best and most fun phone I ever had. We have some awesome development too, very thorough, and deliver solid results, no monkey business going on in our development community.

G2x is soooo much better. My younger brother has a Galaxy S 4G, and it's a nice phone and all, but there is literally no development going on for it anymore. No Vanilla, MIUI, or ICS. G2x is wayyy faster although I really like the Galaxy S 4G's Camera.
G2x forsure

I had galaxy s4g development there its horrible just rehashes diffirent themes with ROMs. Although music player is really good and can take advantage of full voodoo

I actually just got my Samsung Galaxy S 4g replaced from Tmobile with the G2X. I used the SGS4G for awhile.
I don't regret it one bit, this phone is a beast in comparison. I'm not even using ICS yet, and I'm so happy with my new device. Significant upgrade in my opinion, and as others have said ROM development is much more active.
The devs are trying to work out ICS, but nothing close to even "kind of" functional.
IMO the screen was a little better and voodoo sound is cool, but a majority of the ROMs are customized versions of a stable base. MIUI is also being worked on, however the significant gains in just about every other area out shine 2 perks. Can't comment on battery life yet, my G2X has "new toy syndrome" at the moment.
Bottom line, stuck my SGS4G in the box and sent it back this morning.
G2X > SGS4G

So far the screen is the only thing i like about it i need to break down and buy a digitizer maybe a all white conversion for the g2x

Well, as seen in my signature, I still own the A2 running CM10, but I also have the SGSIII running Slim Bean (better version and functionality than CM, in my opinion) as well as the HTC One S (which I happened to win at the Big Android BBQ) which is stock, but I plan on unlocking the bootloader (*don't hate, A2 users) and run one of their many great ROMs on it once I find the time to sit down and get in to it the way I'd like. I also have my eye on the Nexus 4, which I may get once orders start to get shipped out and the demand side catches up to the supply side. That's my story...

I have the SGS 3, and have since day 1, running the official CM10.
I still have the A2 and am still doing Dev work on it. I am running my CM10 based Liquefied Jelly Bean on it. I am planning a mid Jan release for it.

Most of my previous phones can be seen in my sig... the first real "phone" was my HTC Touch Pro 2 back in the days of windows mobile... I still miss the beautiful HTC Sense 2.1 builds on windows mobile 6.5 . I also ran gingerbread on it for awhile, which worked surprisingly well. Then there was the LG Optimus V, which I ran CM7 on. Then when I switched carriers to straight talk, I picked up a Sony Xperia X10. That was a great phone with everything I wanted: 4in screen, an excellent 8mp camera, 1ghz snapdragon CPU, a vibrant dev community... I ran CM7, Feravolt's stock-based roms, and MIUI on it. But then I got tired of the weak adreno 200 graphics and overall sluggishness of the UI... and I became intrigued by the Atrix 4G and its lapdock after one of my buddies hard-bricked one . On my original Atrix, I ran nottachtrix as well as nuetrino cm7 and jokers's cm9 for a long time... until it began to suffer from several hardware issues (particularly wifi related). That was when I replaced it with my current Atrix 2, which I have loved from the first day

Well i have a small collection of'eh ok phones
I have a sprint palm pixi (ha ha i know, it was my first smart phone, and to be honest i think webos was the best os of all time, made sence to use)
I have an iphone 3gs that my brother gave me when i switched to at&t, and she kicked it hard untill the screen died ( little ba$$tard lasted 4 yrs)
Then i got the A2, now on my third one (have one to ship back, camera shat the bed, nothin but dark, p button randomly decides to put in a p when i text and the hard buttons are on the right (landscape), recieved the new one yesterday, but it came with ics so now im a bit sad)
I have 2 iphone 4 that i got for doing computer work, one at&t, one verizon... i just recently modified my sim card to work in both my a2 and the iphone so i can use the iphone at work ( keep my precious a2 out of the saw dust ( and tethering works on the iphone and i use it a lot at work)
When at&t finnally gives me an upgrade, ill be getting either the sgiii or the nexus 4 and selling back one of the iphones so i can keep my a2 ( if the bootloader was unlocked i swear it would be an almost perfect phone, i really love it)
Thats my list

Yeah, I used to dev Linux for those PDA/early smart phones on handhelds.org in the early 2000s. I carried several ipaqs running Linux and Opie desktop. Great devices.
