banned from all lg sites. - T-Mobile LG G2x

Apparently LG banned me from their twitter,facebook and forums.
apparently they dont like when people point out their lies and continued stringing along of consumers.
I know the mods of their forum come here since they mentioned it.
so i want them to know they are pathetic. you dont even get a message you just cant log in anymore. on facebook if im not logged in the comment tag is there when i log in the coment tag disapears.
so apparetnly LG's fix for the G2x is to ban and silent those that are consistant in wanting answers. or repeating the truth of how they led on customers with the update to make them go over their 2 weeks(think this may of been the one that got them )
i did get one last comment in under the name droid1967 which was a link to the tmo news about an update so at least the people reading those forums got 1 piece of info this month that appears to be some actual information.

smartphonegeek is the one that banned me im sure i see he posted right under that comment than i was banned within 15 minutes of his posting.
No biggy. those guys over there know nothing and are just the cooperate liers for their phone division. i hear that san diego trip was a class to better use 1000 words without actually giving any info. since they failed with the by summer they were suppose to leave it at the by summer instead of hinting it actaully meant by summer so he had to go to a retraining course.
and that title i always thought the GEEK meant you actaully knew something about what it was associated with.

I figured both of you guys were gonna get banned at some point, but I didn't know they would ban you from all their sites . I feel bad that those two mods are the only LG/T-Mo folks on the entire internet bearing the brunt of the attacks (though they are well deserved). Their company pretty much threw them to the wolves with no information at all for the public. The silence from LG has irreparably tarnished their image in my eyes and ensured that I'll never purchase another of their products. The G2x is fantastic though, once you get CM7 on it.

i have 2 other ip's i can access from and emails are a dime a minute. so ill monitor and ill get back there to tell them what i really think of them, since i didnt really before , we were just alll showing we are fed up hoping something would happen. but I guess LG's way of fixing things with customers is quieting the knowledable ones so the less knowledagble will fall for their bs.
They think i said something bad before. they havent seen anything yet. i will gather everyone of their lies and dates and show how they do indeed string their customers along. I will go through for everyphone they have and will send these examples to every blog and website just before i post it on their site.

wish i could ban some family members i have to deal with for my patients. but guess what i deal with and most of the time its not even justified. as it is with LG.

T-mobile blocked me from posting comments on their Facebook page. I was hammering them down looking for answers of why they called me at 6am. T-mobile refuses to accept they made a mistake and acknowledge it, instead they choose to shut you up

Yeah I see that want to post on there that I can not log in and when I made the drois1967 one to post that Tmonews info it would not log in again either. And I just tried again no dice. If this is a mistake I'll appoligise personally but at this point I am still unable to log into anything

Samsung USA Getting Hammered On Facebook

For anyone interested it's a good read. Galaxy S users are pressuring Samsung USA on virtually every post Samsung has made on the lack of the 2.2 update. I doubt it will have any affect but it does shed light on the plight of the Galaxy S owners and with hundreds being posted somebody will respond sooner or later somewhere whether Samsung or AT&T.

We are the 3% of the Captivate phone owner population that realized we are getting screwed, but the other 97% might never know of the update situation and are completely unaware that an update could potentially fix a lot of their problems

It's been good to see more and more people doing the same. Don't know if it'll do any good or not, but at least it's cathartic and it spreads the word. Glad to see some people have taken notice.

Creating threads just to complain wont do **** to change your problem. Also its bumping the important thread to further back pages

I'm getting a Sensation. And I'll post about what a piece this phone is. I'm on my fourth and T mobile is "letting " me extend my contract and buy the Sensation for the contract price for my trouble. Gee thanks.
I was coming home from the Drs. office a little while ago and said to my wife as I played with my phone..."Aw ****, I'm just gonna' keep this one...." WTF? I must be stoned, it doesn't work. The whole time I was there, it would work on the Drs wifi, then not work....then it would work on the 4g, then it would not work. It was pitiful....three times it would work then three times the page wouldn't load. On and off...on and off. Just pitiful. It would not work in the car the whole five mile ride.
I love the phone.
I'm done with it.
But I paid for it and now I'm gonna have to pay for the Sensation ($200.00).......This G2X is officially for sale. with three batteries, a wall charger and a T mobile case. In pristene two day old condition.......cheap. PM if interested

I hope the Sensation works out for you. I just bought one at Walmart yesterday and was going to decide whether or not to give it to my wife or keep it and give her the G2X. Needless to say, I can't do anything with it. After playing with it for 30 minutes it got hotter than any other phone I've ever used and then froze. After a reboot it worked for about 15 minutes and the second I opened up the market app it rebooted itself. I called T-Mobile and they can't do anything until the phone is officially released and Wal-Mart doesn't have anymore in stock since they only got 2 to begin with. All of the other local Wal-Marts didn't get any in. My only option is to return it for my money back which I will be doing tomorrow.
Side note: In the 30 minutes I had to play with the Sensation, I already figured out I would have been giving it to my wife. It is not as fast as the G2X and it's clear that Sense 3.0 is bogging it down. The internet browser is also no where near as fast as the G2X. Don't get me wrong, it will be a good upgrade from her MyTouch Slide but it's not a upgrade to the G2X (if you got one without bugs).
I know, I saw your post you dog ha ha! I just wish I didn't love this stupid G2X so much. It's makin' me crazy! I am so on the fence about the Sensation in the first place. I studied up on it before getting the G2X.

I don't blame you for giving up on the G2X. If I was in your shoes, I would do the same. I am starting to believe that the ones (like myself) who got bug free G2X's are in the minority and very lucky. To bad you can't hold off until the SGSII variant gets to T-Mobile because I have been reading bad ass things about it.
I know you lucky dog. My daughter is freaking having a field day. She thinks it's funny. Hers is just like yours....bug free. And I've tried to get it to do many of the things mine did. Her wifi is spot on. She has had a couple of reboots.
This is my 5th! They're replacing them now for the Sensation so don't even worry!

Have you deleted all of the bloatware? The only stuff I have done to mine is rooted, deleted bloatware and use SetCPU with the screen off profile. I know it's the bloatware causing some issues because last week I did a factory reset and before I could delete everything, I had the WiFI bug. As soon as I deleted everything it was back to normal.

I've been through four of them myself and I understand the frustration. The 16th is my last day to return this turd - I'll be bringing it back on the 15th and getting a Sensation as well.

So I went to a few stores today that sells att phones. I asked everyone in all 5 of the stores about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note LTE, noone even knew about it as if it will be coming out 6 years from now -.- noone knew there was one even coming out let alone the name :/ it kind of makes me sad when the consumer knows more then the sales reps. They should train more in my opinion this was just my little experiance for the day just thought I'd share. Anyone else looking forward to the note lte for att?

Nobody in a provider store is going to have even a small clue about phones they don't already stock, this should not be a shock. And if you're on xda you're a bit above the typical consumer...
There is basically no benefit in knowing about a phone you don't stock yet from a sales perspective. You can't sell what you don't have.

In-store reps definitely don't know anything. Most reps aren't like us and simply don't care. I usually come across some reps who give out good information about upcoming devices. These reps are always over the phone as they have quick access to the database. Try calling about a general question, talk to them for a bit, and when you're about to end the conversation, pop the question.

Ive sold phones for five years in three locations. I can tell you most of us know about phones as soon as they are rumors. As someone said earlier if we don't sell it we really don't care. To be honest if someone asked me about the note I would kinda just try to end it fast unless we were doing pre orders as asking me about a phone I cant sell isn't making me commission. If it is slow though I will talk about announced upcoming phones for quite awhile. Also most consumers walk in and say i want android or iphone not asking specifics

That's understandable. Wouldn't it be better to actually care and inform a consumer of an upcoming device? By informing them of said device, they might wait for it and pay the $200 with the contract. I understand you want to make some money as well but I guess from a personal standpoint I would help the person that cares as much as I do.

If they are techie I will chat with them build rapport and leave them with a business card and an appointment only if the release isn't months away. The average consumer wants what their friend has and even if a better phone comes out tomorrow won't wait.

Though by far my biggest pet peeve at work is the people who say well I saw this was coming out on _________ tech site and I know all about it where is it. Most of those people end up name dropping xda. Kinda like this "well i frequently read xda and it said this and that and they tend to be just plain wrong. I know most of us on xda aren't like that but when you hear it multiple times a week you tend to want to hull smash something end rant ha

I even tried bestbuy lol and the guys words were "our phone tech isn't here today he will be here tomorrow from 12-6" I live 40 mins away from anything so its not in my best choice to go back but anywho I go to the same att retailer when I buy my phones. They know me there and come at me quick because I don't just come in to buy a cheap pantech crossover I'm there with cash in hand and buy phones straight up xD so they are always willing to help. When I went in to buy my Sony xperia play 4g I handed her my iPhone to Bluetooth my contacts, she looked at my iPhone and her exact words were "what the F is this" it was running wp7 xD Haha but in all seriousness I think someone should be hired in the certain area. It'd be like hiring me to sell cars or ovens when I know nothing about them, I feel like they just hire anyone :/ I went to buy a computer once and the worker argued for 30 minutes that 512mb was a gigabyte :/ I shook my head and took my business elsewhere I just don't understand... sometimes I wish everyone cared about a phone as much as we do... instead of "as long as I can listen to music watch YouTube and look at porn, I don't care what it looks like or what it does" :'( I honestly just want to teach everyone for free so I don't feel so smart and dumb at the same time. anyone else feel that way?

I agree. I've perused tablets in Best Buy and after engaging the nearest 'team member' for less than 3 minutes, I realize that I know more than they do.
It's the same experience when going to the auto parts store. There are some people who can carry on informed conversation, but 90% are the type who watch fast & furious movies in awe, and know nothing about repair or maintenance or they can only look up part numbers.
Basically, lower your expectations.
This is why I get mad when I've tried many times to get a job in those kind of places to no avail because I don't seem to have any big time qualifications to my record yet if I go into any outlet store and begin talking about phones, the sales rep looks at me like I'm making up things or shocked I know anything.

This is why I get mad when I've tried many times to get a job in those kind of places to no avail because I don't seem to have any big time qualifications to my record yet if I go into any outlet store and begin talking about phones, the sales rep looks at me like I'm making up things or shocked I know anything.

I have had similar experience with applying for jobs at auto parts stores. The 'now hiring' sign is displayed for several months and the staff changes about every 3 weeks, but I never get called. For a while there was an older woman who not only knew nothing about cars but she also needed help to use the computer program to look up parts.
I finally realized that these people will work for less money than I will because I actually know what I am doing. It really is sad that people with any level of technical or mechanical ability don't actually work at the retail level because they can't get enough money.
And don't get me started on the people who work at Home Depot . .
I have no past work experiance. I'm 19 years old have been the "bad" kid because I used to be a "black magic" hacker I've gotten introuble from schools best buys and targets because of it but now I'm past all that I do phones tablets anything mobile. There is never a time when I'm in best buy that I'm back in the computer/phone area and usually an older citizen is talking to a sales Rep about which one is better and the sales Rep says well product A is $1299 with 4gb ram touchscreen is way better then product B $899 8gb ram and so on but they go by the price as the sales Rep was walking her to the register I kindly walked up and said "hello ma'am I noticed you were interested in two different so-so" the sales Rep called the manager and had me kicked out for costing him the sale xD but they wont hire me? I have long hair and look like a "druggie" I don't do drugs don't have tattoos or metal on my body but yet they hire people who are clueless

i have to say i agree not many of the people in the stores even know about the phones they have in front of them much less whats coming out.

Most recently, I applied for a job repairing projectors. During the interview they kept asking me about how well I would transition to an office environment. Completely Ridiculous! I would be working in the workshop not the office and I happened to be better dressed than any of my interviewers.
Basically, some people cannot see past their little world or people they can understand.
Man Verizon store by me they don't know anything. And they are jerks as well. Went to upgrade my moms phone and said she wouldn't get unlimited data with her Droid 3 so I just bought it from newegg called up and boom she got her unlimited data. Never going back to that store again. Hate how now you have to bring phone to store to get replaced.

So lets say.. (Hypothetically) that a "friend" of mine accidently installed a Sprint ROM (The dragon rom) on his verizon phone, the phone is completely inoperable and doesn't even turn on. like holding on the power button does nill, and trying to put it into download mode yeilds no results as well, would it be possible to play stupid and return the phone to verizon since it's not been two weeks yet since i've had it? or will they catch on that the phone's been tinkered with? any imput would be appreciated. keep the wrist slaps for an obvious mistake to a minimum please I swear i thought it was for the verizon variant lol.

If you don't have the money to spend on JTagging, you shouldn't be playing with fire on your rather expensive phone, IMHO.
I have sympathy for the OP's dilemma, but sometimes (depending on the circumstances, need to survive, etc.) we need to accept the consequences of our own actions and seek to avoid abusing policies that seem like part of a generic, abstractly large pot of abundance.

It doesn't affect the corporation, it affects the rest of us as consumers that purchase their products. They make up the loss with price increases. Retail stores do the same thing with stolen merchandise. Raise prices to offset the loss. I agree. Man up. Fraud is fraud and stealing is stealing. Makes no difference who its from. I'd never tell my kids its OK to lie, cheat, and steal as long as its from rich people lol.

Exactly. You you have to think in the aggregate.
And to be honest, if you have the money to pay for the most expensive carrier and the most expensive phone on said carrier you can probably spare $50-60 to fix your own mistake.
I personally don't think it's fraud.... All Verizon is gonna due is use it as a refurb (and how do you think they get refurbs?) Sometimes a company has to open up BRAND NEW phones to give out as refurbs aka replacements, because I used to work for Nextel, before Sprint ate them up.... I was a tech and I remember having to open up brand new phones just so we had stock for refurbs cause when you release a new phone refurbs are non-existent until months after a release... And Samsung will just fix the phone but that does NOT make up for the part of NOT reading and following the instructions before you flash something... Every mod or rom that I flash I automatically know that if my phone dies it is MY fault cause I am playin with fire but flashing a totally different carriers rom is just plain stupid and I was a noob at one point and I NEVER even thought of flashing something until I read about a million pages of how to's and guides etc. I am not trying to be a **** but why would you think it's okay to flash a Sprint rom on your phone?? You will get a free pass on this one and get a replacement phone but if you do it again than you may want to think about just running stock because I think every noob gets one freebie and this is yours so go get a replacement and READ READ READ and if you can't find your answer than keep READING.... I have never bricked a phone and I guess I am lucky but I certainly have never flashed another carriers rom on my phone either... Just my 2 cents... Good luck and READ! :laugh:

Let's all file a complaint w/ FCC against Verizon for blocking Wallet

Hey everybody!
I have been a longgg time Android user & just recently started posting on XDA, I have been thinking about this lately & I just recently filed a complaint myself against VZW for blocking Wallet
..& then I realized u know whats better then just me complaining? How about everyone else who gives a ****!
So c'mon everybody lets take 5mins from ur busy hacking schedule & file a complaint. I want Wallet on my phone & as much as I love flashing to get it, how much nicer would it be to just be able to download it from the Play Store.
I know even if we get a few complaints it would be worth it ..so lets do this ppl!

I'm with you! I'm filing a complaint right now. What they do should seriously get files as anti-trust. If Google can't promote it's own products on its own search engine because of anti-trust laws, Verizon shouldn't be allowed to promote (AND BLOCK!) it's own apps over someone else's.
Edit: That was ridiculously easy to do. Took 2 minutes and didn't ask hard questions.

They will call you about the complaint you filed with the FCC and tell you they do not block GW and that their tech team is working with Google to make it work on their devices. If youre wondering how I know this, its because I filed a complaint such as this about a month or so ago and that was the outcome.

They may already be working on it, but if they get enough complaints, maybe it'll happen faster.

I hear what you are saying and that's such a lame excuse. Maybe their "techs" should get with some of the devs on this site because they seem to get it to work just fine.

It has nothing to do with working, they just are probably waiting on a whole set of devices to become "compliant" with their specs.

Standard operating procedure for the FCC. I've filled a bunch of complaints with them and this is always the outcome. They'll give you a scripted phone call with no info what so ever and spend more money on the phone calls then an actual solution. I don't even waste my time anymore. **** em. They have their head so far up the telcos asses that's it's pointless.

Yeah to some degree it was scripted. Now granted it was not a CSR that called me it was someone from Corporate. I also have her number if I wanted to call her back to ask her any other questions concerning the issue. She mentioned something about it needs to be integrated or some crap. She mostly blamed Google other than saying techs were working on it

Filed mine too. Didn't even think about looking into Google Wallet as being an issue on any new Android Device. Now I'm upset I got this phone and told my GF to get one too.

Correct, I wanted everything good to go out the box. I realized all the horrible bloat of Verizon crap on this phone so i'll have to root it anyways.
Oh well, phone is still great. Better than the iPhone5
