[Q] Anyone having issues where the Charge Screen turns black and freezes after photo?

My Droid Charge is freezing randomly when I take a picture with it. After hitting the shutter button the screen goes black and unresponsive. I have to pull the battery in order to restart the phone.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I am stock. Running Widget Locker and Launcher Pro.

More infomation about your setup: Are you stock? If not what ROM and kernel? Are you undervolting?

similar issue
I have a similar issues sometimes with games and random apps on my stock rom. For the camera though I would start by unchecking the review option under settings and see if that helps at all.

This happens to me as well. Very random. I have only noticed it happening when I had the LED flash on. This happened to me while I was on imnut's debloated ee4 rom and humble 1.2

Yes, I have had this happen. I am currently running the stock ROM with the PBJ voodoo kernel. I have also had this happen when running completely stock.

I thought that this may have been a ROM issue but since you guys are having similar problems while stock, it appears to be an issue with our phones. We may want to report these problems to VZ/Samsung for a possible fix.

Going through the VZ forums, I see that this is actually a common issue.
I suggest that anyone else who is having this problem voices their concerns on their support site as well

intermittent connectivity while tethering

I'm experiencing intermittent connectivity while tethering my thunderbolt through either wifi or a usb cable. I usually have to restart the app or the phone to get it back. Anyone else experiencing this?

i used to have this happen to me alll the time. now i rarely see it. was using bamf rom at the time and nothing but grief. now i'm on synergy rom and using wireless tether 2.07 and no problems. which rom/kernel/radio are you using?

funny you should mention that as i'm using bamf 3.0 haha. Guess I know what I need to do now.

btw, the latest wireless tether app, the 3.01 or something, doesn't work. try either the 207 or 205 version. whichever will give you better stability. the stock tethering app that comes with the rom and anyother rom, doesnt give me good results. i wasn't able to download even a 350mb rom without loosing the 4g, no its not a problem. i also noticed that the 4g disappears whenever i opened too many tabs at the same time on tethered computer. guess too many pages loading at the same time somehow overloads something. i have no explanation.

I use BAMF and have same problem and i noticed connectivety dropped when display went to sleep so when tethering i turn it to not cut off and i have no problems now

this is a different problem. i think that he's talking about the 4g connection disappearing for a second, then reappearing, but being unable to tether anymore. happens at random. ur talking about he wifi sleep policy thing.

[Q] Quick Question - Wifi

Ok So I just got my new infuse and love it. 1 problem. I can't get the wifi to work properly. For some reason my email, facebook, and web will only work on the network. This is a problem because I am around wifi all day so I only got the 200mb package, assuming it wouldve worked. Help Please!!! Thanks.

Are you connected to the wifi? Have you put in a password for the wifi you are trying to connect with?

Have you rebooted? If so, power and pull battery for at least 5 minutes, then put back together, power back up and try again.

Try using someone else's wifi access point, like maybe a Panera or McDonald's hotspot.
Some routers are flaky and don't like the Infuse.

Have you tried checking if the wifi is even enabled? I know when I first got my android phone I had a hard time figuring out how the wifi worked and it ended up just needing to be enabled.

Yeah, the wifi works everywhere else, just not at home.

Probably a flaky router that doesn't play well with the Infuse then.

Wifi troubles

Hey guys I got this phone couple of days ago. I have noticed wifi sucks on this device.When ever screen is off wifi disconnects. I flashed cm10 but same problem. Is there a fix available?
Using REGPON wifi KeepAlive app from playstore but its draining the battery....
Basically I'm having trouble receiving push notifications
EDIT:I have noticed this does not happen when its on charger without charger when I press power to wake the phone, the notification comes in immediately. No delay at all.

If you go into the Advanced WiFi settings, you can set it to keep wifi on during sleep.

It is on

may be try upgrading to the latest rom?

if you're in the US go for the T-Mobile 0.16 radio. if not try the other one. both should work fine

Unfortuantely that didn't work. I guess there is a hardware defect with my phone. Weird that it only occurs when phone goes in sleep and only affects wifi. A Google search showed that many people are having similar problem with. One x one s and evo 4g lte.

My touchscreen randomly it seems becomes unresponsive. Power button will turn the phone off and on, volume works. Just no touch. I restart the phone and it's fine. I am running touchcontrol perhaps thats it? I turned it off for now, I'm just playing the waiting game. Just wanted to see if anyone else had similar experiences with the N5.

started happening to me a couple of days ago i just told lg and they are going to repair it

I dont know anything about rooting, Im just curious really. Have you tried a factory reset?

are you using a custom kernel with s2w/dt2w enabled?
if so, that's your culprit. disable it

I'm not sure what kernel I'm using. I know it's as close to stock as possible. I disabled TouchControl and it hasn't had any issues since. I will look into those options you mentioned though as well just in case.
