Everytime I dial 611, a T-mobile "Call Assist" app opens up and switches to speakerphone and starts talking. How can I turn this awful thing off?
damn just confirmed this. This was on the HD2 as well but had the option to disable it. Doesn't look like there's a way to disable it. Stupid tmous!
I just dialed 611 and it was a normal phone call. Huh?

Found it on other device forums but they all fail to install.

The major problem that I've read about in a few phone call recording apps is the recording of the incoming voice.
I have "phone control" app on my sons phone to monitor his texts and incoming phone calls and if he's in a loud place I can only her his voice. So unless ur on speaker phone this or any other phone call recorder will not record too well.

EZ boys.... he wanted it cuz he's to tempted.
He's trying to stay sorta on a good track since hes very gifted in football at mission Viejo high school in California.
He had to many friends who F'd off and ruined their scholarships cuz of the extra curricular activities. So he figures the extra awareness will give him a better conscience.
And it only started cuz he did screw up... royally! And no details needed if u remember ur old days!
Then the coach gave him a new view of reality .... his future ..... he's either "in or out", its either a scholarship to a major football university or at a junior college. So he wanted "in" and wanted help.
So if ur into football, then u will know his high school is always nationally ranked so they get colleges watching all the time and they're games are on TV or streamed on FOX sports especially since they're latest quarterback Mark Sanchez is an alumni.
So u say "poor kid" or "let him live"... we do.... but he's the smart one who knows he needs the extra help.
So he's back on track and getting offers left and right!
Thank God for making him the smart one. And thanks to the dude who made the "phone control" app

i've a cyanomogenmod 7 ROM on my Htc Desire and this application doesn't work.... can you help me??? i need it!
The problem I am having is that once the phone rings and I pick up the phone from the table and hold the phone vertically the volume of the ringtone turns very low where you can barely hear it. Is this normal? Is anyone else having the same problem?
Yes, this is a feature included in most HTC phones. Why bother ringing when you already picked it up? But I'm sure theres a way to disable it.

oh okay, thanks for the reply! I didn't know this, I am new the the HTC Sensation, my previous phone was the iphone and it didn't have this.
It's not a bug, it's a feature That's true for this one. Go Settings>Sound>Quiet ring on pickup to disable it.
If you have a Senation already....
Just wondering if a Call Recorder app will work with the Sensation..?? I currently use the SPB Recorder on my Winmo TP2 to record and play back calls and it is a lifesaver with client calls (my memory is bad!)

Really would like to know before getting a Sensation as this is a very useful feature to me. Sorry if this has been covered, but would appreciate any specific info for call recording (not off the speaker). Appreciate it if anyone has the knowledge or wants to try it out....
Cheers to all.
I tried out "2-way Call Recorder Free" and it did record both sides of the conversation. Speakerphone was off too, so it's apparently working correctly.
Many thx lezouave
That is really good to know...!
Appreciated

How did you get it to work? Whenever I hit the 'rec' button on the little popup, it turned on the speakerphone to record.

Actually, really want the auto record function. To have to press an additional button seems redundant when/if ALL calls can be recorded...

I know.. I still wouldn't mind it if it actually worked though!
Still on this...
Just curious, can this be changed when this bugger gets Rooted or S-Off or whatever the heck is done with the locks come off this thing..?
Still really (really) want this function.
Cheers

Thx for that.
Curious though, does it record well and 'without' the loudspeaker on?
In other words, does it record both sides of the call without an issue - there are other reports saying it needs to turn the loadspeaker on to work.
Please be kind enough to give some more details for all who are interested.
Cheers
both apps do not work for me...
the total recall made my phone go crazy..wouldnt record anything, couldnt hang up, then once I hung up the phone still thought I was on a call and the screen kept going on/off everytime I moved it...not good.
The other one (2 way call recorder) worked, but forced speaker phone. also, not good.
Any other options? I have a feeling Sense and the HTC dialer is part of the issue here..

I think this is what u may want
Androrec call recorder
It records both sides of the conversation, without having to put it on speaker, AND it starts recordings automatically.
All I have to do is periodically go into my SD card and wipe off non-essentials to save space.
And, before I get asked, I have no idea if I have S-off phone or not. I have no idea how to check, but guess have no need to, because my sensation does everything I want it to...
Thank you, I will try it.
AndroRec didn't work for me on the Sensation... could barely hear the other side.
Looks like Sensation is one of those phones that doesn't work well with the recording apps.
Yeah...it works without loudspkr turned on...and for both way...

Your going to have to try harder to make sense and give a meaningful thread title.
I can't make out even the faintest idea of what your talking about other than the phone is ringing.

I'm guessing your translator needs some work, but from what I can make out, when your phone rings, you try to see who is calling, but the call is dropped before you can see?

Phone rings, but when you try to answer the call simply can not and if I try.Simply can not reply. I call the same number that called me regularly .If phone is not in the style lock screen when I call the green handset for answer works ok and then it may occur normally and without problems, is a problem in the lock screen.

Okay, so I've had many phones before this one and none of them ever done this before..
So I was at work and my phone was in my pocket with a iris and password lock on but I've just noticed it's on the lockscreen witch is dumb… but anyway, somehow inside my pocket I called 911 due to somehow turning on the phone inside my pocket and pressing the emergency button..
So my question is since this has never happen before if I can somehow disable that button and possibly make it invisible and no longer there so I don't do it again.
I googled and some said if I used another lock screen from the market but I don't wanna do that unless I have to and plus idk which one would be good for this phone in the first place…
So please, someone help lol I gotta work tomorrow and don't wanna pocket dial 911 again.
Also am I the only one who has done this with this phone or is it a common issue?
Keep screen turned off option in display.
Pretty sure that will do it

It was on. Im trying to remove it all together tho if possible.
It turns out I need root or download another lock screen… which will suck because idk if I can use my iris scanner if do that
Well, I am guessing the emergency call thing has to be there legally...
I cant find the setting (the one how when you press home it goes straight to pin?)
Turn that off so atleast you will have to swipe up to get to where the emergency button is.
(i know this isnt a fix but its another step you have to accidentally do)
This has got to be one in a million. It's a lot of very specific presses, swipes, and numbers that Have To be pressed.

Well for my screen it's right where you type the password or do the iris scan. And I pressed it to see if it calls right to 911 and it doesn't but theres another button after that it does.

Food for thought. Are you sure you didn't have the triple click power enabled and that is what placed the call?
