[APP] Dual Battery Widget v1.1 (2012-06-30) (with source on GitHub) - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

Yeah, I know that there are a couple of these apps out there already, but I made this one for a couple reasons:
1) I wanted a resizable widget, that showed the status of both batteries in graphical form
2) I wanted it to be light and non battery-hungry
3) I wanted the widget to be available on the market (vs storing the apk on the sd card, etc)
4) I just wanted to try write a useful widget
So here is the Dual Battery Widget!
It'll show two batteries, for the standard and the dock battery. If the device doesn't have the secondary battery (i.e. it's not the transformer) it will just hide the second battery
You can install it from the market here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.flexlabs.widgets.dualbattery
I'll try to monitor this thread as much as possible, but if there are any problems with it, you'd best send me an e-mail about it (e-mail is in the market account)
Feedback is always welcome
Note: On the current release of Honeycomb, it is possible that the widget will not immediately appear in the widget list after installation. To refresh the widget list, you should either restart your device, or restart the launcher app (Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> All -> Launcher -> Force stop)
Also, I've opened up a project on GitHub with the full sources for the project.. Hopefully this will be useful to the community. It'll also have download links to the apk file (for those without android market... who knows.. )
Check it out here: https://github.com/artiomchi/Dual-Battery-Widget
Still working on new proper icons, so for now just made a basic charging "bolt"... Working on some proper, unified design
Check out the latest download on GitHub

Looks very cool, thanks
One thing: does the widget let you know when the batteries are charging?

Not at the moment, as I just wrote the whole thing yesterday night
I'll come back to it today after work, and will improve the battery icons + add charging status display

Looking good. It'd look better if you add a 0.1 black shadow with transparency to both the battery % text and outline of the widget. Oh and the dock battery doesn't hide itself is it not implemented yet? Or is it a bug?
Sent from my Transformer TF101

Thanks for the suggestion about the shadow.. I'll look into it tonight too.
Currently, if you're running the widget on the transformer, it will still show the dock battery, but it will state it as "n/a" (will change that to "Undocked" later). It will hide it completely if you're running it on any other device.
I'll be working on a settings dialog tonight, and you'll be able to choose whether you want to see the "undocked" battery

thanks for this widget . Looks good. Resize work , tested on rooted stock 3. 1 Without dock
Great idea to put it on market .
At this time i haven't suggest , fine for me !
Good work for the next .

I'll try this tonight ! Thanks !

As promised, I just updated the widget with some new functionality and an options dialog.. Check the first post for new features and new screens

looking good!
The only wee little thing id suggest is making the single battery icon (when no dock is connected) a tiny bit smaller, so its not so near the edge of its area, but thats just me being pedantic!
Either way, its my fav battery widget so far!

Very nice work! Thank you for your efforts. I am looking forward to what you do next...

That's 2 dual battery widgets I've tried now, neither one shows the status of the dock battery This one actually says Not Docked when I am (typing this post from the dock). Not sure if there is something wrong with my dock, or something else. Anything I can try ?

My guess is that you're running a different linux kernel than the standard Asus one.
Unfortunately, the information about the dock state, and the dock battery status is passed through an extension of the standard battery notification system intent, that Asus changed in their build of Honeycomb.
It seems like the dock battery status will only work on standard Asus kernels... I hope the rom builders here will be able to combine their kernels with a patch from Asus' build

Looking good.

Yup, that would be it. I'm running PRIME 1.4 with the OC kernel. Thanks for the info.

Looks really cool, and resizing is a plus. Great job.

Very nice! Thanks a bunch for making this.

Is there a way/option to add time unplugged? Instead of having to go into the battery settings everytime. Maybe an option to display or not at users discretion.
Sent from my Bolt using XDA Premium App

Really great widget !
and Battery charging indicator, it's exactly what I was looking for on this
And it's on the market, better for update !
Thanks again for your work !

I've now switched to this widget. Thanks!

Thanks. It is a very nice widget. Maybe can implement shortcut to battery information if user touch on the widget.

[MOD][250510][CM 5.0.7-T3] Framework + Browser Mods by Wysie, pershoot and bcrook88!

All the changes have been merged into CyanogenMod 5.0.7 ! Please do NOT flash any of the current listed versions. I will remove this message if bcrook88, pershoot, or myself updates anything.
Also, I've since release a Spare Parts update for CM5.0.7. Find it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=688347
Hi all,
Note: This replaces your framework and services.jar, meaning Trackball Alert will not work, custom clock colours will revert, and notification in successions will also not work (since services.jar is replaced).
ALWAYS NANDROID FIRST !

Old Post:
Been a while since I did anything for Android, so I decided to first tackle one of the problems I have with it, which is, "Why must Android show the red arrows when I make a mistake, even in stealth mode?" I find it quite "insecure" .
Anyway, I know there's a morph to have a invisible lockscreen posted in david1711's thread, but this mod allows it to be an option . Enough talk, here's some screenshots:
More screenshots:

Changelog:
250510:
- Added ability to change battery percentage colour
- Added option to hide clock on status bar
- Attempt to fix the percent alignment on D/S devices
240510:
- Implemented 2 additional options.
- "Show unlock message" will hide the "Draw pattern to unlock" message
- "Show unlock error messages" will hide the "Sorry, try again" message
- However, if you get the incorrect pattern, it will still show the 30 seconds countdown. That is not configurable, don't intend to make it configurable as well.
- Removed Browser.apk from package since it's included in CM5.0.7 latest test releases now .
230510:
- Notification items' colours are now changeable. HOWEVER, not all notification items will change, as some of them are implemented in a different way by the app dev themselves . Not sure if I can do anything about it yet.
- Re-organized SpareParts. For those asking, I have no idea what PLMN and SPN means, I took it from the source variable names. What I do know is they are related to carrier, and you can change them for your carrier colour to change.
- Updated source to CM's latest .
180510:
- Added various options into spare parts to allow configuration of clock, date, and many other colours. A reboot is required for the changes to take effect! SPN and PLMN is for the carrier .
170510 #2:
- Removed the swipe function in browser . It broke the Browser completely. Sorry about the error.
- Browser.apk no longer available as standalone since all it does is increase the max tabs from 8 to 16. It is still in the update.zip .
- Fixed the PIN lock buttons getting cut off if you use both visible dots and custom message. Thanks to _avatar for the help !
170510:
-Made some modifications to Browser.apk, as follows:
- If in fullscreen mode, swipe down on the title/address bar to show notifications/status bar, touch anywhere on the webpage will hide it back.
- Increased max number of tabs from 8 to 16.
- It is included with this mod update.zip because I've made some changes to framework, and I'm not sure how well it will work on the previous CM5.0.6 framework. A standalone link is also available, please report if it works for those on CM5.0.6 or CM5.0.7 WITHOUT the rest of our framework modifications.
160510:
Added option to make the delay on incorrect pattern customizable. (I dislike the delay!)
Changed the correct delay of PIN lock by avatar from 750ms to 0ms. Report if there're problems .
150510 #3:
Made it show 6 apps by default, otherwise it will cause a boot loop unless you've used spare parts first.
150510 #2:
Fixed a visual glitch with the focus/select drawable being cut off for the right-most apps if set to 12 recent apps.
150510:
Test release with configurable number of recent apps. Configure in SpareParts. 9 and 12 is now working but looks wrong (left-aligned). pershoot/bcrook88/myself are working on it. Removed previous version as invisible slider broke too many things. Give pershoot's links a try if you are looking for them since he has not added the invisible slider part. For those who have flashed my previous test release containing Browser.apk, please push Browser.apk from CM5.0.7-test2, or simply reflash CM5.0.7-test2 (or test whatever, if you're on D/S ).
140510:
Updated with invisible slider option . Screens: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6475563&postcount=38

Thanks to everyone who guided me on GitHub, I've used it before but never really utilized its merging and branching power . All source is now available on http://github.com/Wysie. For these mod, you will want to look at frameworks_base, frameworks_policies, spareparts and settings.
Special thanks to:
pershoot - For being a very helpful guy throughout, esp. with his help with the make commands (although he suggested I do a full make ), and for the 15 recent apps layout, from which 9 and 12 was derived from
bcrook88 - Same as above, without the full make
Credits:
david1711 - I think he came up with the invisible lockscreen morph
britoso - I used part of his XML for the custom message
Original Invisible Lockscreen Morph:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654858 (Second Post)
To Do:
Apply changes without rebooting
Have an option in Spare Parts to reset all colours to defaults?
sweet thanks so much!! downloading now
looks like the link is broken....
Re-uploading, try in a minute or so, I based the update.zip off pershoot's 15apps, and forgot to remove one line (not major, but I'm ocd ).
thank you kind sir.....great work!
Thank you! I got tired of people peeking over to see my lockscreen combination lol.
A lot of apps FC after flashing, the notification bar disappeared and I cannot switch off my phone
I previously installed pershoot's OCUV kernel + 15 Recent apps on CM 5.0.7 Test 1
[Request] optional text into the lockscreen
I love it
Request:
would it be possible to implement an option like this in settings:
So everyone can insert a specific text into the lockscreen??
thread
-------------
by the way, invisible lockscreen breaks Trackball Alert (till TA is updated to 507)

same for me!
I would even say all apps produce fc
I'm not using CM at the moment. I switch back and forth between it and my own custom Desire Rom. But this is the first useful lockscreen mod for CM that i have seen so far.. Great work!
rori: Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it. By the way, with the britoso mod, what happens if you have the dots on? Or are they permanently gone?
For those of you having FCs, I'll be honest with you, I have zero idea why . Are you all using any morphs? How about flashing CM5.0.7-Test, then my update.zip again? Pershoot's changes will also replace services.jar, although I'm not too sure if it will affect anything. I'm doing a repo sync now and will make a version for test2 asap.
ill roll this in tonight to the 15recent.
good work
Thanks pershoot !
Updated update.zip file in first post for CM5.0.7-test2!

That xml layout mod is for the slide-lock-screen with the slider below the text. There are ways of showing a view below another, example , Not tried this but it looks feasible.
Any chance you could implement hiding the clock and/or date?
I have a live wallpaper that displays the time. (ping pong)
Hi britoso, thx for the help. Actually I've already added a line of text under, but it doesn't seem to look good. Adding the text directly over doesn't look good either .

Thanks pershoot .
By the way, custom msg is working nicely when lock pattern is disabled. Still working on the one with it enabled .
will this lockscreen also work on G1/MT3G with CM5.0.7-test4?

Would like the ability to "mark as read" by long pressing a group/entry. Other than that it looks nice, good work so far

I'm planning to implement such feature. (Also, give a possibility to mark as read "on server". sometimes is usefull, I think)
So, I think it will be available in the mid of the next week if you are interested.

Now for me the first priority is auto sync and sync of pictures, but after that I'll surely implement a widget (but, maybe in pro version).
What do you like to include in such widget? A list of articles (for selected feed, category) or texts?
Thank you both for the feedback!

Thank you for your job, it's a great lightweight app!
I use it as my everyday reader for 1 week, so far so good.
I'll wait for the auto sync but actually I don't really need it!
Thank you very much
Thank you very much for your response.
I'll try to make it even better!
Here is the new version with auto sync!
1.0.beta3 was not very stable.
So, check out quick fix!
1.0.rc1 is much more stable now.
Also, you can just download JustReader from Android Market!
Hi everybody!
I've just implemented downloading of the images (view images offline). Do you want to try it?
If so, check out this version!
It's not very stable, but you can try and write here what you think.
It can be switched on in account preferences screen.
Next things I would like to implement are:
- possibility to stop synchronization process
- show synchronization status in notification bar

Thank you for testing pre market releases!
This is new version with
- sync status in notification bar
- some improvements in sync process (speed, stability)
- possibility to stop sync process
Check it out!
Also, I'm planning to release paid market version and to cut a little bit free version, also I'll try to add advertisment on the main acitivity of the application.
Everyone here, If you want, you can send me emails or private messages and I'll send you unlock code.
So, come back here when pro version is out. First 100 will get unlock code.
Also, a big job must be done to make the release really stable.
Thank you all again!
What about Google Reader by Google?
What do you think about new Google Reader for Android released by Google?
Do you think they will implement full offline support?
Do you like this new app? Why?
Just downloaded market version, and a few quick thoughts (I'll have more later)
Sync settings:
Maximal age of the post should be Maximum
you list a bunch of numbers in that catergory. I'm assuming they are days, but weeks would also be a possibility. If you could put 1 (unit), 2 (unit), that'd be great.
Main feed page:
I use folders a LOT in google reader. Usually, I browse by the whole folder at once, rather than the individual source (example, I might have android police, Android Central, and XDA portal for android all in one folder). However, in this app, I can only view by individual feed. If you can place an option under the folder menu to view all at once, that'd be great! By this I mean, I might be viewing an Android central story, but the next story might be XDA portal.
Edit: Just found if you tap the numbers it does this. If you can make that a menu option, that'd be great. I only found it by accident.
Overall:
You have a setting for article screen theme. Any way you can make that universal throughout the app? I like black text on white. However, everything but the article is still white text on black.
Make it so that articles that are read in app are read everywhere.
That's all for now. Looks really good so far. Love the swipe to go to next page option. Google official reader needed that. For what I think of googles reader app, I really like it. Nice UI, but no offline caching.

Hi!
Thank you very much for some suggestions!
What do you mean by phrase on top of this post?
Statuses are saved to Google servers each time you synchronize account.
You mean "instantly"? Right when you are reading?

I think a widget would be a great idea. I see you are planning to add it in the future and you were asking what to be included. I think the best way to do the widget would be to display "all items" that would link to your app when clicked. I also would like to see a mark all as read on the widget too if that can be done.
I'll implement widget for sure, but a little bit later. Now the main priority is stability.
Now, you can try one more beta version:
better offline support
bugfixes
some synchronization performance improvements

[App] BattMonX (Droid X Battery State Monitor via LED Status)

All,
I realized after posting in the general app announcement thread that you/we Droid X users might want to be aware of this app written specifically for the Droid X (but might be useful to other phones too).
So, here's the link to the general app announcement thread and a brief summary of what this app is all about:
[App] BattMonX (Droid X Battery State Monitor via LED Status)
BattMonX is a utility for the Motorola Droid X to turn on the LED indicator light while the phone' screen is off to indicate its battery state: charged, discharging, or charged/full.
The Droid X does not currently indicate the battery charging state via the LED indicator light as other phones do.
This app is free in the Market. Search for "BattMonX".
This app is intended bridge that gap until such functionality is restored by VZW/Motorola.
QR code, screenshots, more details are in the link provided above.
Thanks and enjoy!

You are most welcome! Its been a fun project to work on. I hope to get the set-on-boot / run-on-boot thing figured-out soon. Stay tuned.
Coming from the HTC Droid Eris, I was used to this feature too.
There were lots of us on launch day that were posting as to whether anyone had a lit LED while the phone was being charged. I actually saw my LED light up (not through a text notification or anything) very briefly during the first OTA update we got, but never since then.
Anyway, glad to have finally learned enough Android programming to have made this feature available to folks. By the way, I've been keeping my discharging state LED color set to blue--looks cool .
Cheers!
nice idea but if you run a custom rom it usually adds this already without the need for another app. im running tranq and it has it

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know this (I'm still running stock 2.2 (although rooted)).
The app development request came from someone running ApeX, so it must not be in that particular ROM yet.
I'm a little curious as to why VZW/Motorola didn't include this support natively...
Anyway, cheers!

v1.3 just uploaded: now supports set-on-boot option
Just a quick thread bump to let everyone know that I've updated the app to version 1.3 that now includes a set-on-boot / run-on-boot option.
Select this option via the menu (menu -> More -> Set on Boot -> select True or False).
Enjoy!
By the way, thanks for all of the great feedback and support from everyone--its made creating this app for everyone worthwhile. I very much appreciate it! Cheers!
version 1.4 of BattMonX just published
Version 1.4 of BattMonX has been uploaded to the Market.
Changes to this version include:
* Support of five new LED color codes (dark orange, orange, dark violet, dark green, deep sky blue)
* Support for low-battery condition indicator:
selectable low-battery percentage threshold (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%)
action to take when threshold is reached (none, LED on, LED blink)
LED color selection for low-battery condition (will take precedence over other battery states)
Hope you find this app and these changes useful. Thanks for all of the great feedback!
Cheers!
v1.6 just uploaded: now works w/SMS text notifications
All,
Just a quick thread-bump to let everyone know about the latest release of the app: version 1.6 now works with SMS text notifications!
So now, you should be able to run the app all of the time and still get notified when a text message comes in.
The timeliness of the seeing the SMS notification is still dependent on the polling interval you are using, but app steps aside when the SMS notification comes in and then resumes when its been acknowledged (by reading the text) or cleared (by the notification pull-down's Clear button).
Please note that the app doesn't actually control the color or blinking status of the SMS text notification, my app just allows it to come in and been seen--so I cannot change its color or behavior.
I also added the option / ability to make the LEDs blink (or stay on like before) for the charging / discharging / charged state like the functionality I added for the low-battery condition in v1.4.
Enjoy the app and its recent changes--I hope you find the app useful.
Also, I do very much appreciate everyone's feedback and support! Thank you!
v1.7 just uploaded to Market (very useful fixes and improvements)
version 1.7 changes include:
- added strategy to auto-recover from Android auto-killing the app's service; should make the app much more stable and without unwanted shutdowns
- replaced multiple menu settings w/standard Settings/Preferences menu item
- dynamically determine battery status directory (I did this to see if the app would work on more phones (with mixed success); should allow for users that don't see that the app was written for the Droid X to at least see if it will work on their phone (does not appear to work on a stock HTC Evo 4G, HTC Droid Eris))
- re-instituted screen lock to portrait mode to prevent orientation change from causing FCs
- fixed integer parsing issue causing some reported crashes (probably just experienced by non-Droid X phones)
- added option for 3 minute polling-interval
- added larger range for low-battery percentage threshold
- fixed issue where LED would not blink when charging
Anyway, if you have any issues, comments, questions, etc., please contact me at [email protected].
Cheers and have a great New Year!
v1.8 just published to the Market
All,
I've just published version 1.8 to the Market and updated the main thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859651) with information and screenshots... Lots of new features and improvements. Change log for 1.8 includes:
- supported new experimental features:
* ability to keep LED on while the screen is on (root only)
* support white LED color when used with the "LED is Always ON" experimental (root-only) feature/setting
- updated w/better strategy for dynamically locating battery state and LED notification files to TRY to support non-Motorola Droid phones
- added 'Suspend' feature to turn off LED and pause battery status monitoring until resumed (un-checked)
- added strategy to make app more timely/responsive to SMS text notifications and preference/setting changes
- fixed set-on-boot and charging-color preference mis-match and other minor preference/settings issues (this was causing a few folks issues...if you still have an issue, try an un-install and fresh re-install--this will clear-out the saved preferences)
- supported amber LED color in addition to the original red/green/blue LED colors (for phones that support an amber LED color)
Anyway, this version should be much more stable and responsive than the prior versions (although v1.7 was pretty solid, ).
Enjoy, and please visit https://sites.google.com/site/scaryalienware/battmonx for full details and screen shots. Shoot me an email at [email protected] for any issues, comments, questions, etc.
Cheers!
v2.2 uploaded to the Market
Uploaded version 2.2 of the app to the Market last night. Here's the highlights:
- added more strategies for making the app more responsive when screen off & unplugged (I implemented a partial wakelock for one minute after the screen is turned off and unplugged from power source)
- added 'Set LED Colors by Percent Charged' feature (i.e., you can assign a different color to each 10% range of battery percent-charged)
- added 'Rainbow Mode' (under Fun Stuff) to cycle through the various LED colors
- added 'Keep CPU On' feature to allow you keep the CPU awake/on when the screen is turned off (this is only true when monitoring is active);
*** Warning *** use of this option will consume more battery!
- added preset-color buttons to LED color tester (easier to test main colors)
Hope you enjoy this new version.
Cheers!
Notes re. other versions not previously listed:
- v1.9 was just a very minor update to not display percent signs in menu items that was causing FCs in some Milestone phones running non-stock ROMs
- v2.0 was the original release of what is now v2.2; I had to rescind v2.0 to fix a loop (and the FCs) caused when using the color none/off under certain circumstances
- v2.1 was a re-publish of v1.9 until I could fix the FC issue in v2.0
Thanks again!
v2.3 just uploaded to the Market
New version just published.
Here's the change log:
Version 2.3 - 14-Mar-2011:
- support option to display status bar notification icon with battery percent charged

- support blink action for monitor-by-percent charged mode (screen off only)
- additional logic to try to support other phones like Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 family
- lots of app cleanup; re-organized preferences / settings menus
Check it out and let me know what you think!
Cheers!
version 2.4 just published to the Market
New version just released. I hope you find these changes useful.

- fix issue to handle 1% charge_counter file not always being present
- cleanup Current Settings screen (consolidated percent-charged settings info)
- added new debugging feature (ability to toggle app's logging of system messages)
BattMonX v2.9 published to the Market
All,
Version 2.9 of BattMonX has been uploaded to the Market. This version includes code to auto-recognize the 1% charge_counter file used on many Motorola phones. It also addresses the product-name changes that CyanogenMod ROMs impose that kept prior versions of this app from recognizing a Moto Droid family phone and auto-identifying their battery status and LED notification files.
Donate version of this app will be uploaded shortly.
Cheers and thanks for everyone's support and kind feedback.
RECENT CHANGES
Version 2.9 - 09-Jul-2011:
- improve auto-identification of charge_counter file (especially for Moto Droid X's running CM7;
this should also help other phones that support the charge_counter file)
- several minor updates and fixes
Version 2.8 - 13-Jun-2011:
- minor fixes to better support Moto Droid phones recent GingerBread 2.3 update:
* auto-recogize GB's different LED directory (w/o needing to manually locate files)
* fix LED-always-on reboot issue for Moto Droid's running GingerBread
* if you have problems or experience unusual issues coming from v2.7, please try an un-install and re-install
Version 2.7 - 22-May-2011:
- revised and improved service start/suspend/shutdown and notification clear handling
- cleanup current settings display and other logged values (especially debugging info)
- lots of minor cleanup and improvements
- turned off debug msg logging by default for fresh installs (option to enable is still present)
I'm not going to use this because I use my LED for other things, but its a great app. I tested it and it works great on my DX.

[THEME][Nov06] - PCB Blue v2.1.0 - Prime v2.1.0 / v2.1.1 / HC 3.2 READY!

PCB Blue v2.1.0
Updated on 11-06-2011 (mm/dd/yyyy)
for Prime! v2.1.0 / 2.1.1
Hi all! I'm posting up my new Honeycomb theme for Roach2010's excellent Prime ROM. Note that I really do like the stock Honeycomb interface, but I wanted to add my own unique twist to it, while keeping it pretty close to stock (hence, "minimalist").
This theme is based/influenced by my own original PCB Sense Theme for Gingerbread + Sense. I have been testing this tablet version myself for a few days, and I'm finally happy with how it turned out, so I wanted to offer it up to all the fellow Transformer XDA users!
Couple of things to note:
ONLY for Prime v2.1.0 / 2.1.1! (older versions are archived). You can try it on other ROMs, but this theme was built from Roach's PRIME sources.
Includes/based off of Roach2010's Recovery Power Menu modification
This design was meant to be close to stock for those who actually dig the Honeycomb UI, but want something unique
It is currently a work-in-progress, and will evolve over time
Please do not ask for too many new feature requests, or versions with other Power Menu Options. I am quite a busy dood, and this is still the early days of Honeycomb. I will definitely update it when I can, but I have been making Android themes for a while, and it becomes VERY tedious and time consuming to create new .zips/.apks for each and every ROM release. I will certainly do my best though!
I have edited a lot of images with utmost care and attention to detail including those precious draw9patch ones
The tricky thing with the draw9patch is to have a pattern get 'stretched/repeated' without looking crappy...This is the main thing stopping me from skinning EVERY single file with the PCB pattern, but as above, stretching/repeating this PCB pattern really mucks the look up (blurry/etc.)
If you'd like to buy me a beer, or any other kind offering to say thanks, it's greatly appreciated and I will thank you personally... (Donate link is in my post profile)
Future Plans:
Add Honeycomb Percentage Battery Mod
Fix battery charging animation
Add better screenshots
Style more parts of the OS
Change all default Honeycomb 'orange' button/menu items presses to blue or green
Anyways, have a look at the preview images below, and please leave your thoughts! I hope you enjoy it!!! (Oh, and keep an eye on this thread for updates)

[*] Figured out what was causing some users to experience boot loops or freezing/black screen issues
[*] -- Users who run the OC kernel are not affected, as this kernel has broken support for the dock battery status (currently the kernel is not build from ASUS' (non-existent) 3.1 sources), so the main issue above never has a chance to occur
[*] -- Users of the Stock 3.1 kernel were experiencing the boot loops/freezing issues because the dock battery/charging status works, and this issue was able to rear its ugly head
[*] -- There are details of this issue that I have posted in a new thread (in the Development section, as it has now become a new project/task): [url=http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14674386]"[MOD/DEV] Charging Battery Animation with Dock Connected ** Help needed! **"[/url] (main issue is that the ASUS code only calls for "BitmapDrawable", whereas we need "AnimationDrawable")
[*] -- Please, any coders/devs who are able to make edits to the 'classes.dex' file in 'services.jar', please contact me via PM, and/or visit the thread above for details of the issue (I personally have no idea how to fix it and recompile)
[*] [B]As a confirmed/stable workaround[/B], I have disabled [i]animation[/i] on the charging icons, however they will show a lightning bolt (so you know it's charging) and the current level of battery charge in the outer circle(s)
[*] -- This will increase SLOWLY as the device consumes a charge, so you will see the circle grow, but only when the battery level is changed (i.e. not a smooth, frequent animation)
[*] -- Basically, it will update the battery icon with the charging version at the same percentage...it's so hard to explain this, but trust me, it works and it's our best option for now, until we can get the original ASUS code modified
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.4.2[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Optimized the battery charging animation which was eating up precious CPU cycles
[*] -- The previous version had demanding animation XML, which was too fast
[*] -- This new version corrects that by slowing the animation down by 60 ms, and also only animating the battery level from the actual charge level (i.e. instead of animating from 0% --> 100%, it now only animates from whatever your current charge level is at, to 100%) (hope I explained that well!)
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.4.1[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Re-based from Roach2010's proper Recovery Power Menu Option framework-res.apk (fixes signatures)
[*] Added Honeycomb percentage battery icon (with custom animation)
[*] Added new WiFi icon that is easier to see, along with new upload and download mini-arrows (bottom corners of WiFi icon)
[*] Added new ASUS status icons (HDMI, Docked, microSD, USB, Headphones)
[*] Added new glowing download/upload icon

Great thanks Hatman41 (btw you're rocking some nice themes too)! I just purchased the Market version.
Will try to upload more shots of my theme in action too. Also in the future, I'll be looking to add a Battery Percentage Mod and maybe other details in the OS theme.
Cheers!
Any chance you can post an MD5?

Hi mate, I'm a massive fan of your work with LeeDroid and I'm thrilled that you are doing similar great stuff with PRIME!
I feel I should make you aware that the Power mod's have a slightly modified framework-res.apk (values.xml and strings.xml) from the main v1.4 but this will be standardised with future updates. I'm not a themer but I am aware of how my changes may make your job harder so I am happy to work with you or anyone else for that matter that wishes to contribute to the rom.

Roach that's so kick-ass to hear, thank you very much! I would love to keep updating my theme to match your ROM, and I think sharing tidbits of info will keep everything top quality. I often hang out in #LeeDrOiD-ROMs and #baadnwz-roms on Freenode, or we can PM each other. I'm also tempted to ask if you might make this the default theme in Prime!, but from all of the design I've done for baadnewz and Lee's ROMs, there will always be ppl who prefer stock.
Anyways, thanks again for your kind words and killer ROM! I see a bright future with this here TF101!

Thanks dood! You'll have to grab the latest version too!
I made some good updates, and I hope everyone enjoys them! Read the Change Log (of v1.4.1 now) in the original/first post for lotsa details. I did give my theme a version number since I realize I did not have one in the first. I started with 1.4 since this is the Prime! version that it's based off of, and this second update brings it to v1.4.1. If Roach releases a Prime! v1.5, then my theme for that version would be named v1.5, and any subsequent fixes/updates on that branch would bring it to v1.5.1, v1.5.2, etc.... I know what you're thinking...for a simple designer, my organization is probably overkill!
Well, there goes my Saturday night...but I still think it was worth it! Let me know if you peeps feel the same
Love the new wifi icon and some of the other new ones. There is an issue with the circular battery though. I have the same issue with mine. The keyboard dock does not like the animation on it so when you plug in your power supply to the dock and the animation wants to start the keyboard dock does not know how to handle it and it crashes and boot loops. Roach is looking into it to see if he can figure it out. If you do not have a keyboard dock or just use the tab then you do not have this issue.

Hiya Hatman41! Thanks for the feedback...glad you love the wifi icons...they took me about 1 hour to make alone!
In regards to the boot loop issue though, I don't believe my recent version is affected by this. I just tested it immediately after reading your post, and I am able to see the animation fine when the tablet is docked (and charging), as well as when the tablet is docked, and the charger is applied to the dock's power port. Everything animates and charges fine, so I'm a bit perplexed.
I DID use Roach2010's latest Recovery Power Menu Options framework-res.apk though, so maybe this is why it's working properly for me. If anyone else has installed v1.4.1 of my theme and has a dock, please do some testing with all of the possible charging configurations, and let me know if you experience any boot loops (again, none for me personally).
Cheers all!

Now that is weird. I just installed your 1.4.1...and plugged in the power and reboot...hrm...maybe I need to install the 1.4 ROM itself...I had an earlier version that I am useing now but from what I can tell nothing has changed in the framework-res from the ver that I have and his official 1.4. I will do a fresh install of the ROM in the morning and let you know if it still does it.
Loving the wifi and battery icons Good work.
Can`t test on the dock as i`m still waiting for one
Are there any screen shots I can look at before deciding whether to install this.
Thanks

I get a bootloop. I´m on prime! 1.4 WW with recovery button mod.
Clearing cache and stuff won´t seem to help.
MD5sum is ok.
And I have a dock. I will try later today if t will work without the dock (as I read above).

Timetable is a versatile scheduler for your Android phone. If you have a recurring schedule you have to stick to, Timetable will help you keep track of it. Its simple, elegant interface will get you to the information you need, quickly and efficiently, with intuitive navigation and a familiar timetable structure. Setting up your timetable takes mere minutes, and it is intuitive and easy - just press + to get started!
Timetable was built with the Android Design guidelines in mind, and follows them to a tee. It's optimised for Holo and optimised for tablets.
Latest - 1.0-beta1:
Code:
- Added a landscape optimised version of About page
- Removed 'Add Task' button
- Refined colours of tablet mode
- Swapped room and time around in expanded view
- Weeks can be added indefinitely from the action bar drop-down
- Classes can be added to any existing week
- Empty weeks are removed on app launch
Latest Market release - 0.9.1:
Code:
- Fixed a big bug - force close / timetable disappear on leaving for a while
- Two new UIs - compact and expanded - no longer uses ListView, much more attractive
- These UIs can be swapped between in the preferences, or to classic if you wish
- Compact style can be switched between displaying the room or start time
- Break periods are coloured grey
- On the current day, all periods up to and including the current one are highlighted
All 1.0 changes so far:
Code:
- Added swiping tabs
- Removed "Classic" UI, for simplicity reasons
- Improved UIs
- Reduced line thickness to 1dp, looks sharper
- Changed period name from big to bold in expanded
- Changed period name to bold in compact
- Refined the edit and setup UIs, now more Holo-friendly
- Buttons have no feedback
- Improved indent sizes to fit with Android Design guidelines
- No more rotation lock
- Fixed crash on rotation, may be unknown consequences
- Removed a whole heap of old code, renamed some classes
- Re-worked the widget, hopefully fixes some crashes + much prettier
- Added 'Refresh' menu item - ie current period will be highlighted on refresh
- Added themes - Light and Dark
- Light is Theme.Holo.Light on 3.0-3.2, Theme.Holo.Light.DarkActionBar on 4.0+ and Theme.Light on legacy
- Dark is Theme.Holo on 3.0+ and Theme on legacy (default)
- Switch themes in preferences
- Made the bug report feature have more information
- Set the spinner to have default text colour, was black (may cause problems on some OEM themes, ie Touchwiz)
- ActionBar now goes on bottom when necessary (4.0+)
- Tablet mode! Tablets will take advantage of greater screen space
- Now kicks in based on screen width (7-inch tablets will definitely work)
- United the tablet and tabbed mode into a single activity
- Tablet mode can activate and deactivate on rotation if necessary (probably on One X-sized devices)
- All menu items work properly in both modes now
- Made the preferences work better than before
- Added 'up' buttons to the ActionBar in preferences and edit screen
- Decreased text size in edit screen, looks better
- Removed the tabwidget, replaced with swiping-tab style header
- Header is present in tabbed and tablet modes
- Current day is underlined
- Added OnClickListener to each period, to be used for tasks + editing
- Removed some redundant aspects of TabController (tab stuff - now plain viewpager) - may be unstable, may be faster
- Replaced entire setup activities with new "Add Subject page"
- Not yet tablet optimised
- A warning - It gets buggy when you remove and add lots and lots of periods, because I got so confused...
- Added the ViewPagerIndicator library, proper ICS-style swiping tab widget!
- Refined the tablet title bar
- Removed transition animation on refresh on tabbed mode
- Updated ViewPagerIndicator library to v2.3.1, fixes jitter on swipe bug
- Renamed "Preferences" to "Settings" in compliance with Android Design guidelines
- Removed deprecated setup activities
- Revamped the settings menu and added icons (4.0+ only)
- Changed default theme to "Light"
- Created edit dialog box
- Created remove dialog box (confirmation)
- Changed app name to Timetable (I like it more)
- Settings relegated to overflow menu, as mandated by Android Design guidelines
- Added "Today" action item - jumps to current day
- Fixed graphical bug with clickable part of period
- Switched to using custom Period class, will make some things easier
- Fixed remove option bringing up edit dialog
- Fixed crash on fresh install (sorry!)
- Added time editor in edit dialog (not a dummy any more)
- Added end time
- Added an end time editor to edit dialog
- Timetable displays end time on main view
- Current period is highlighted blue, periods passed highlighted grey
- Probably very volatile due do database changes... This is why I was reluctant
- New logo
- Better execution of the visual metaphor
- Softer, lighter colours and no gradients
- Tilt consistent with Ravrahn logo (30 degrees)
- Altered Add Subject screen
- Removed Details header and Room field
- Room is now set for each period, not for each subject
- Added end time setter
- Removed "Name:" textview, replaced with hint in edittext
- Two rows per period, to fit more options
- Replaced Compact Detail setting with Compact Detail menu item
- Today menu item only appears on weekdays
- Changing settings no longer redirects you to the main activity
- Fixed a bug with Today menu item always bringing you to Monday
- Fixed and improved the widgets:
- 4x1 - Shows current period and next period
- 4x2 - Shows current, next, and after in a format similar to the app's expanded view
- Changed target version to v16 (Jelly Bean)
- Added a notification
- Ongoing, updates every minute
- Tells you how long until your next class, what the class is, and the room it's in
- Turn it on or off in Settings
- The tabs may automatically refresh every now and then, not sure
- Switched to NotificationCompact2.Builder by Jake Wharton
- Implemented ActionBarSherlock by Jake Wharton
- Added a bigContentView to the notification for Jelly Bean - needs work
- Fixed some crashes caused by widgets on weekends
- Fixed notification settings not switching properly
- Notification automatically turns off on weekends
- Added "Today" button for tablets
- Removed "Switch Week" button, implemented Action Bar dropdown for week switching
- Added "Toggle Expanded" Action item, removed "Change Detail Level" from Settings
- Added "Send Feedback" Action item, removed "Report Bug" from Settings
- Removed "View changes" from the settings page
- Expanded and Compact periods generate with identical code
- Compact periods are now clickable (but tiny...)
- Changed period context menu to regular click, rather than long press
- Removed Week table from database, all key-data store is now done through SharedPreferences - way faster and should be less buggy
- Updated Action Bar icons to look Holo on older devices
- Backup works for end times
- Added "Teacher" detail to Compact Detail selector, sets it to nothing
- Supports all versions of Android right back to 1.6 (it should, anyway - I don't have devices that old!)
- Fixed several crashes with widgets and notifications
- Notification does not appear if there are no classes coming up
- bigContentView is now substantially better
- Time now displays in the system format (24-hour or 12-hour)
- Removed "About" section of settings, added About activity accessible from Action Overflow
- Fixed TabController having Up button
- Revamped backup system, now produces a .csv file (code is neater, too). Multiple, custom-named backups possible
- Backup and Restore are now Action items in the timetable view
- Fixed backups not recording end times
- Fixed "Backup detected. Restore it?" not working
- Added "Legacy backup" to restore dialog list
- Actually added the About page, accessible from the Action overflow
- Aesthetic changes
- For Android 4.1+, now uses font family sans-serif-light (Roboto Light)
- This does not apply to dialogs or the Action Bar
- Light theme now uses Theme.Sherlock.Light over Theme.Holo.Light.DarkActionBar
- Changed Light theme background to pure white, rather than off-white
- Lightened Light theme ViewPagerIndicator background
- Made ViewPagerIndicator footer thinner to match Play Store
- Added a landscape optimised version of About page
- Removed 'Add Task' button
- Refined colours of tablet mode
- Swapped room and time around in expanded view
- Weeks can be added indefinitely from the action bar drop-down
- Classes can be added to any existing week
- Empty weeks are removed on app launch
Any good? Ideas for features? Bug reports? I'd love to see what people think of it.

Your application has not Saturday and Sunday !!!
But i've classes this days
and i like to add end time of my classes !
Looks good, but i'll make two suggestions:
1- A widget. It's really handy to have one on the homescreen so i can view the class room easily.
2- we can choose the intervarls of the classes. for ex: 8:00 - 8:30 8:30 - 9:00....
also if you could implement a function to import holidays from google calendar would be really good.
I'm going to download and test it. Keep up the good work
I had an end time until I realised the end time ought to be the same as the start of the next period. I haven't met anyone who has classes on Saturday or Sunday before, I might be able to add them in though!
Thanks a Ton.....works perfectly on my G2x, Galaxy Nexus, SGS2 and HTC Sensation XE......It's a amazing!!!
very nice.

Awesome app for a student like me
Very good idea, but may I suggest allowing people to add sub-items or events under each class to list homework. If this was implemented I would absolutely use this. Keep up the good work!

It's locked in portrait mode for two reasons: It's not as useful in landscape, and people were getting weird crashes (the timetable disappeared and didn't come back until you force quit, which I've found still happens if you leave the app alone on the settings screen - it's some strange bug in the cursor object, I think). I might get on to making a landscape mode when I start working on the tablet optimisation, but that may not be for a while.
The weekend classes will probably need to wait too, I just don't think there's enough room on the screen to fit 7, or even 6, tabs. I'll implement the two days once I figure out how to use tabs as fragments, because then there won't be width constraints.
I'll start work on a widget first, depending on how difficult it is, expect the widget by this time next week, perhaps. I was planning on making it a premium feature, but since everyone seems to want it, I'll probably make it free, and find something else to be premium.
Hi thanks for the app i think its a brilliant idea and i love it so far!!
Just a request my school works on a 6 day cycle but we only have school from mon to fri so for example if mon is day 1 then the next mon would be day 6 and tues day 1 if that makes sense. I was wondering if there would be some way for me to use the app with this 6 day cycle?
Thanks again for the awesome app!

Found a bug:
When setting up you add activities. After this you build the time table.
If you put now a activity into the time table, then go back and rename it and press next again, the app force closes.
Just a little hint.
Anyway: awesome app.
Sent from my loved HTC Desire [email protected] <3
So it does! I'll look into it. Thanks for pointing me to the bug, but in future, could you email it using the "Report Bug" option in the app's settings?
Regarding the 6-day cycle, Bos1man, I don't know how I might implement that. I'll try my best to add that while I'm adding weekends and whatnot.
v0.8 will feature a widget or two, a slightly better UI in the timetable itself (with the current period highlighted), and a few bug fixes (the one Ditti4 found, hopefully, and also one I just found in the edit screen which ought to be easily fixed). It should be out by this time next week, we'll see.
EDIT: I've had a thought - I'm going to implement a backup/restore function with plain text files on the SD card. I'll pop some templates in the OP when that happens.
As for the bug with going back and changing an activity, I can only really say "don't do it" for the moment... I can't think of a good way to work around the bug short of deleting the items that you've changed the activity of. If that's a reasonable solution, fine, I'll do that, but I'm not sure it is...
Thanks appreciate u looking in to it

It think it should be ok.
And as solution for the 6-day-thing:
Maybe you can add the possibility to add as much weeks as we want. This would be enough for the start, I think.
And I will use the bug report option in the app in the future - but I didn't know that it is existing.
Sent from my loved HTC Desire [email protected] <3
If I understood Bos1man correctly, making it as many weeks as you want would require him to enter the same six days' worth of information 5 times in a row, which would be a horrendous bore. I'm sure there's something I could do to make this unnecessary. I'll need to think about it.
I'll be pushing 0.7.2 to the market by the end of the day (Australia). It will have a working backup, but no working restore. 0.7.1 is uploading currently, and features:
- Changed Donate button to PayPal donation link
- Fixed bug in edit screen with list flowing into buttons
- Added dummy Backup and Restore options in settings, they just make toasts
Nice. Will u add custom end time for classes like on Timetable? Here in Denmark classes are 45minutes...
Here are examples of widgets. Modded to have transparency.
No update link here? i haven't access to market !
the dropbox link is the old version (0.7-rc5)
