[THEME][Nov06] - PCB Blue v2.1.0 - Prime v2.1.0 / v2.1.1 / HC 3.2 READY! - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

PCB Blue v2.1.0
Updated on 11-06-2011 (mm/dd/yyyy)
for Prime! v2.1.0 / 2.1.1
Hi all! I'm posting up my new Honeycomb theme for Roach2010's excellent Prime ROM. Note that I really do like the stock Honeycomb interface, but I wanted to add my own unique twist to it, while keeping it pretty close to stock (hence, "minimalist").
This theme is based/influenced by my own original PCB Sense Theme for Gingerbread + Sense. I have been testing this tablet version myself for a few days, and I'm finally happy with how it turned out, so I wanted to offer it up to all the fellow Transformer XDA users!
Couple of things to note:
ONLY for Prime v2.1.0 / 2.1.1! (older versions are archived). You can try it on other ROMs, but this theme was built from Roach's PRIME sources.
Includes/based off of Roach2010's Recovery Power Menu modification
This design was meant to be close to stock for those who actually dig the Honeycomb UI, but want something unique
It is currently a work-in-progress, and will evolve over time
Please do not ask for too many new feature requests, or versions with other Power Menu Options. I am quite a busy dood, and this is still the early days of Honeycomb. I will definitely update it when I can, but I have been making Android themes for a while, and it becomes VERY tedious and time consuming to create new .zips/.apks for each and every ROM release. I will certainly do my best though!
I have edited a lot of images with utmost care and attention to detail including those precious draw9patch ones
The tricky thing with the draw9patch is to have a pattern get 'stretched/repeated' without looking crappy...This is the main thing stopping me from skinning EVERY single file with the PCB pattern, but as above, stretching/repeating this PCB pattern really mucks the look up (blurry/etc.)
If you'd like to buy me a beer, or any other kind offering to say thanks, it's greatly appreciated and I will thank you personally... (Donate link is in my post profile)
Future Plans:
Add Honeycomb Percentage Battery Mod
Fix battery charging animation
Add better screenshots
Style more parts of the OS
Change all default Honeycomb 'orange' button/menu items presses to blue or green
Anyways, have a look at the preview images below, and please leave your thoughts! I hope you enjoy it!!! (Oh, and keep an eye on this thread for updates)

These are some of the graphic components I built and used in this theme (more actual screenies coming soon):

[*] Re-based from Roach2010's v1.6 sources
[*] Includes all fixes/features/fun stuff as previous versions
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.5.1[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Decent update which includes a fixed circle battery icon charging animation (BIG TIME THX to Roach!)
[*] -- Allows for circle battery charging animation to occur when tablet is charging (doesn't show for dock charging, as tablet would be full and icon already shows 100%)
[*] -- Doesn't cause a reboot as before, thanks to logic improvements to 'services.jar' by Roach2010
[*] Revamped the lockscreen graphics by changing to a hex/honeycomb theme (created all images from scratch myself)
[*] Added new PCB background to Recent Apps menu
[*] Cleaned up the background image in Settings, SetCPU, etc. (still a little stretched when in Portrait)
[*] Minor fixes to existing images
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.5.0[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Re-based from Roach2010's v1.5 sources
[*] This is quite a MINOR update, as I only fixed 2 images (down/close arrow when Recent Apps menu is open; edited colour of the background image in Settings)
[*] More updates will come as I am going to experiment further by changing dimensions on certain images, but this may cause issues, and I haven't had time to test just yet (this v1.5.0 is stable!)
[*] v1.4.4 [i]should[/i] still work on v1.5, however it's not recommended. I've left v1.4.4 online for those users still on Prime! v1.4
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.4.4[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Fixed the microSD mounted / USB Disk Mode icon
[*] Added new File Browser icon (next to unmount)
[*] Added new Bluetooth icon (disconnected + connected states)
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.4.3[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Figured out what was causing some users to experience boot loops or freezing/black screen issues
[*] -- Users who run the OC kernel are not affected, as this kernel has broken support for the dock battery status (currently the kernel is not build from ASUS' (non-existent) 3.1 sources), so the main issue above never has a chance to occur
[*] -- Users of the Stock 3.1 kernel were experiencing the boot loops/freezing issues because the dock battery/charging status works, and this issue was able to rear its ugly head
[*] -- There are details of this issue that I have posted in a new thread (in the Development section, as it has now become a new project/task): [url=http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14674386]"[MOD/DEV] Charging Battery Animation with Dock Connected ** Help needed! **"[/url] (main issue is that the ASUS code only calls for "BitmapDrawable", whereas we need "AnimationDrawable")
[*] -- Please, any coders/devs who are able to make edits to the 'classes.dex' file in 'services.jar', please contact me via PM, and/or visit the thread above for details of the issue (I personally have no idea how to fix it and recompile)
[*] [B]As a confirmed/stable workaround[/B], I have disabled [i]animation[/i] on the charging icons, however they will show a lightning bolt (so you know it's charging) and the current level of battery charge in the outer circle(s)
[*] -- This will increase SLOWLY as the device consumes a charge, so you will see the circle grow, but only when the battery level is changed (i.e. not a smooth, frequent animation)
[*] -- Basically, it will update the battery icon with the charging version at the same percentage...it's so hard to explain this, but trust me, it works and it's our best option for now, until we can get the original ASUS code modified
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.4.2[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Optimized the battery charging animation which was eating up precious CPU cycles
[*] -- The previous version had demanding animation XML, which was too fast
[*] -- This new version corrects that by slowing the animation down by 60 ms, and also only animating the battery level from the actual charge level (i.e. instead of animating from 0% --> 100%, it now only animates from whatever your current charge level is at, to 100%) (hope I explained that well!)
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.4.1[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Re-based from Roach2010's proper Recovery Power Menu Option framework-res.apk (fixes signatures)
[*] Added Honeycomb percentage battery icon (with custom animation)
[*] Added new WiFi icon that is easier to see, along with new upload and download mini-arrows (bottom corners of WiFi icon)
[*] Added new ASUS status icons (HDMI, Docked, microSD, USB, Headphones)
[*] Added new glowing download/upload icon
[*] Added new (default) scrollbar handle
[*] Added skin for lockscreen halo/ring on touch (when not using a pattern or numeric password)
[/list]
[B][SIZE="3"]v1.4[/SIZE][/B]
[list]
[*] Initial release (version 1.4 to match the current version of Prime!)
[*] Styled System Panel (bottom right corner tapped to open)
[*] Styled stock bottom left icons
[*] Styled Lockscreen Pattern point area inputs
[/list]

Great thanks Hatman41 (btw you're rocking some nice themes too)! I just purchased the Market version.
Will try to upload more shots of my theme in action too. Also in the future, I'll be looking to add a Battery Percentage Mod and maybe other details in the OS theme.
Cheers!

Any chance you can post an MD5?

Hi mate, I'm a massive fan of your work with LeeDroid and I'm thrilled that you are doing similar great stuff with PRIME!
I feel I should make you aware that the Power mod's have a slightly modified framework-res.apk (values.xml and strings.xml) from the main v1.4 but this will be standardised with future updates. I'm not a themer but I am aware of how my changes may make your job harder so I am happy to work with you or anyone else for that matter that wishes to contribute to the rom.

Roach that's so kick-ass to hear, thank you very much! I would love to keep updating my theme to match your ROM, and I think sharing tidbits of info will keep everything top quality. I often hang out in #LeeDrOiD-ROMs and #baadnwz-roms on Freenode, or we can PM each other. I'm also tempted to ask if you might make this the default theme in Prime!, but from all of the design I've done for baadnewz and Lee's ROMs, there will always be ppl who prefer stock.
Anyways, thanks again for your kind words and killer ROM! I see a bright future with this here TF101!

Thanks dood! You'll have to grab the latest version too!
I made some good updates, and I hope everyone enjoys them! Read the Change Log (of v1.4.1 now) in the original/first post for lotsa details. I did give my theme a version number since I realize I did not have one in the first. I started with 1.4 since this is the Prime! version that it's based off of, and this second update brings it to v1.4.1. If Roach releases a Prime! v1.5, then my theme for that version would be named v1.5, and any subsequent fixes/updates on that branch would bring it to v1.5.1, v1.5.2, etc.... I know what you're thinking...for a simple designer, my organization is probably overkill!
Well, there goes my Saturday night...but I still think it was worth it! Let me know if you peeps feel the same

Love the new wifi icon and some of the other new ones. There is an issue with the circular battery though. I have the same issue with mine. The keyboard dock does not like the animation on it so when you plug in your power supply to the dock and the animation wants to start the keyboard dock does not know how to handle it and it crashes and boot loops. Roach is looking into it to see if he can figure it out. If you do not have a keyboard dock or just use the tab then you do not have this issue.

Hiya Hatman41! Thanks for the feedback...glad you love the wifi icons...they took me about 1 hour to make alone!
In regards to the boot loop issue though, I don't believe my recent version is affected by this. I just tested it immediately after reading your post, and I am able to see the animation fine when the tablet is docked (and charging), as well as when the tablet is docked, and the charger is applied to the dock's power port. Everything animates and charges fine, so I'm a bit perplexed.
I DID use Roach2010's latest Recovery Power Menu Options framework-res.apk though, so maybe this is why it's working properly for me. If anyone else has installed v1.4.1 of my theme and has a dock, please do some testing with all of the possible charging configurations, and let me know if you experience any boot loops (again, none for me personally).
Cheers all!

Now that is weird. I just installed your 1.4.1...and plugged in the power and reboot...hrm...maybe I need to install the 1.4 ROM itself...I had an earlier version that I am useing now but from what I can tell nothing has changed in the framework-res from the ver that I have and his official 1.4. I will do a fresh install of the ROM in the morning and let you know if it still does it.

Loving the wifi and battery icons Good work.
Can`t test on the dock as i`m still waiting for one

Are there any screen shots I can look at before deciding whether to install this.
Thanks

I get a bootloop. I´m on prime! 1.4 WW with recovery button mod.
Clearing cache and stuff won´t seem to help.
MD5sum is ok.
And I have a dock. I will try later today if t will work without the dock (as I read above).

RETIRED!
Hey again guys. Good news and bad news.
Bad News:
I will not be releasing Chromatic ROMs in the near future. I have way too much going on in my personal and professional life right now, to be haxxin on ROMs.
Good News:
The Biff Mod Squad is still developing BiffMOD and it is currently on V 2.1 which is based on CM 6.1 Froyo 2.2.1 (latest) ANNNND even better news! Sisterchick has created a Chromatic theme for it, so you can still enjoy the Chromatic flavor!
Originally BiffMOD was the exact same thing as Chromatic so you guys will be in good hands with those folks. Go check it out, the Chromatic Theme should be up tomorrow (11-10)

Out of respect for the dev, I have removed SetCPU; this will also help with some of the update woes people have been having, he offers it up free on his XDA page. 2.0 is out and it is SLICK!

Known Issues
[*]XML Import and Export is not working on versions prior to 4.3 ITS FIXED!!!(CMParts)
[+] For the time being right click and save the file here on your computer, and then go into the UI tweaks under Settings>CMParts on your phone, and fill in the corresponding parts as listed on the xml file
[*] Sometimes Market can go wonky and get hung up on downloads
[+] Fix for this is to first check your downloads page as Froyo can restore your apps so it may already be downloading the same app your trying to install, or it may just be processing hard trying to restore all of your "known" apps. Just let it work through those restores, it may max out your internal memory and fail a bunch of them, thats ok just let it do its thing. Then re-boot and try again.
[+] Next, if you are still having trouble, Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All> Market, And clear cache, Clear Data, Force Stop; Then hit back and go to Market Updater and do the same. Re-boot, and then re-try your install. Still doesn't work? Then something is broken, wipe and re-flash.
Battery Issues?
[+] Let the phone die till it turns off
[+] Plug it in
[+] Boot into recovery
[+] Wipe battery stats
[+] Let batter charge for 8+ hours, this is good conditioning for you battery as well!
~POST BOOT SETUP~
Setup
Don't allow Google to collect anonymous data; It makes your GPS run all the time.
Un-Check Back up my data to Google
LET IT SYNC! Its going to do all kinds of stuff like restoring apps etc. just let it chill for a while, go into market and watch the downloads tab once the sync icon disappears! Seriously, leave it alone, go hang out, or setup your settings but leave apps alone!
If you get into a loop with the setup wizard on first boot, just hit home key after you log in once.
CM Settings
Go to: Settings>CyanogenMod Settings
Application settings> Check Allow application moving (DO NOT CHANGE INSTALL LOCATION FROM AUTOMATIC, IT WILL CAUSE ISSUES WITH APPS2EXT)
Input Settings>Lockscreen music controls are awesome thanks kmobs!, Menu unlock settings are in here as well.
Performance Settings> Seriously Dragons...you should only touch Lock Home in Memory (which everyone should turn on!) if you want us to support you in the threads Other stuff is functional, but experimental!
UI Settings> See Known issues section for instructions on setting this up easily Setting most things to white or grey will result in fine looks. You need not mess with Notification bar submenu under >Notifications colors
Spare Parts Setup
Go to: Settings>Spare parts
Window animations: Fast
Transition animations: Fast
Remember (as with all CM based ROMS) you will need to change the text color for your clock and notifications via Settings>spare parts. It will be black on black when you boot.
See Known issues list for workaround!
Right click and save as xml to the root of your SD card
Go into Settings>CM Settings>User Interface>Tweaks Extra, and scroll all the way down, click "Import colors from XML"
Reboot to apply changes
SetCPU Setup
Download from here give coolbho3000 some love 2.X is AMAZING!
Recommended Settings
Max 576MHz
Min 245/128
Scaling ALWAYS on demand
If you have reboots, scale it back!
Setup Profiles for charging and sleeping:
Max: 528
Min: 245
ADW Suggestions
Go into Settings>ADW Settings
Change "Desktop scrolling speed" value to 0-177. (0 is what I use and is silly fast!)
Desktop Overshoot set to "50"
I also recommend Under UI settings:
Checking, Closing dockbar
Checking, Tint AB
Checking, Hide AllApps Bg
Checking, Hide AB Bg
Checking, Hide Icon labels
Highlight Press Color: FF000000
Highlight Focus Color: FF696969
Un-Check, Scrollable widget support (unless you are using some of the new scrollable widgets like what the Pure line is doing)
Get in there play around!!!
If you do have problems wipe and try again
I put a lot into this ROM I hope everyone likes it!!!
Based on CM 6 (Nightly 8-08) (Thanks to Cyanogen and his team of oh so amazing, self proclaimed douches!)

It's important to know that the "DangerSPL" (or DeathSPL or Haykuro's SPL or whatever you prefer) is a prerequisite for Dream/G1 users. Magic (MT3G etc) users do *not* need to do this. Ciwrl has written a guide to installing this bootloader. Flashing this bootloader under the wrong conditions can actually brick your device, so pay attention to the guide. CM releases have always avoided this requirement, but the new bootloader frees up enough space so that no crazy hacks are required for a fully functional system.
INSTRUCTIONS:
HTML:
- First time flashing a CM-5 based rom?
1. Root your device and install Amon_RA's recovery (Dream / Magic)
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. Install the DangerSPL if you don't already have it
4. WIPE (I cannot guarantee an upgrade from CM-4.2 to this CM-5 based ROM will work- Titanium Backup may be of help)
5. Install the ROM
- Upgrading?
1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
2. Install the ROM
If it is lagging or feeling laggy go into SETCPU chances are the max is set to something stupid low for some reason so it makes this ROM feel like crap.
~if you have problems I recommend a full wipe
1.Wipe>Wipe Data Factory Reset
2.Wipe> Clear dalvik Cache
3.Wipe> Wipe EXT partition
4.Wipe> Battery stats
4. Partition Sd Card> Repair EXT partition
5. Flash zip
6. Enjoy!

From reading the info posted here, it sounds like just a theme.
I think you should post this in the Android Themes section with flashable zip files that change the theme instead. I wouldn't really consider this a new "rom" or anything, it hardly has to do with the development section. It's just CM with a bit of a twist.

Gonna try this now

There is also some changes to the system itself, swap, jit, etc. So I think I will keep it right here.

WORKS GREAT!!!
i would say faster and safer then the original cm!
thank you so much
now, the only thing i need to add is a white theme (for my white magic^^) :>

This is something with CM 5.0.7, I have seen it happening on all variants of the ROM. I just mount SD in recovery to avoid it being goofy.

It is a themed rom that has been modded... so it is in the right place.

CM 5.0.7 T3
+ Gapps
+ Battery Hotfix
+ ADW Launcher
+ Blackbar
right?

Ok initial impressions:
After first boot up wankyness this rom is really smooth!
first boot up wankyness includes Lag slowness market problems etc etc!
Well after a reboot everything works great! I would put it on par speedwise with superbad. This is definitely a keeper! Will see in the coming hours at how stable it stays! Thinking of trying the overclock kernel!

[MOD] Smooth-Mods 1.0.4 Updated 12/05/10!

Hello all. If you venture outside of the Evo section here you may run into one of my favorite mods, Smooth-Sense by Jercik. I'll let him explain the idea behind the mod.
jercik said:
I love original HTC Sense look and feel, but I also love percentage battery. So I made percentage battery which looks like original one . But after that, I realized that some other sense icons could be better. E.g.: sync icon - it is not animated, but I think it should be! So I decided to make theme/icon set for Sense ROMs, which will look like original, but will be extended by new smoother animations and new icons .

IMPORTANT (aka please read)
This mod was originally made for the Desire by Jercik. Most of the credit goes to him. I only ported it to the Evo and used the Evo icon set. You can view the original thread here. If you want to use the Desire and original icon set I suggest using persibro's version.
This is a framework-res.apk mod so there is a good chance that it will erase any themes you may have applied previously. Send me a PM with a link to your theme and what icons you want to use from my theme and if I have time I will send you a compatible version.
This mod should work for most of the 2.2 ROMs based off the HTC release (Baked Snack, Fresh, SteelH, etc.). If for some reason it doesn't, let me know and I will throw a working version up.
Always keep a current nandroid backup before applying any theme, mod, or something that alters the OS or core functionalities.
DOWNLOADS:
12/01/10 Smooth-Sense 1.0.4 for OTA 3.30.651.3 and higher
12/01/10 Smooth-Sense 1.0.3 for Roms 3.30.651.2 and lower
8/20/10 Smooth-Sense for Android 2.1 Based Roms 1.0.2
Old versions:
8/20/10 Smooth-Sense 1.0.2
8/20/10 Smooth-Sense with White Sync Icon 1.0.2
CHANGELOG:
UPDATE 12/05/10:
- A preview of the new version of smooth-sense has been released. Check this post for details.
UPDATE 12/01/10:
- New versions added. 1.0.4 is for Roms based on OTA 3.30.651.3. 1.0.3 is for Roms based on previous OTAs.
- Smooth-REVOlution and battery only versions removed for simplicity and lack of interest.
- Slightly changed OP to reflect the changes in currently available versions.
UPDATE 11/14/10:
- Added a temporary version. Check the download section for details.
UPDATE 8/29/10:
- Added CM6 (final, not RC) versions for Smooth-REVOlution, both with and without battery percentage. Read the 8/20/10 update in this changelog for full details on applying.
- Re-added and moved some old versions of Smooth-Sense and Smooth-REVOlution to the old section of the downloads. Old versions are kept if there are valid reasons why someone would want them as opposed to the newer version, usually for aesthetic or compatibility purposes.
UPDATE 8/20/10:
- White GTalk icon in all Smooth-Sense versions, as requested.
- Reverted some revisions and additions made in previous versions to make porting and changing easier.
- Revised update-script used by recovery when flashing. This should help reduce the number of issues people report due to not updating properly.
- Added 2.1 version of Smooth-Sense. Tested and working on Fresh-evo 1.0.1.
- Updated Smooth-REVOlution (Manup's REVOlution themed version) with the same changes as Smooth-Sense and added download link to OP. This should be flashed on top of Manup's REVOlution theme.
- Added CM6RC2 version of Smooth-REVOlution. This should be flashed instead of Manup's REVOlution theme because as of now there is no RC2 version of the original theme. After flashing revolutionapps1.1.zip will be placed on your SD card. Flash this file to replace the default apps with the ones included in Manup's theme. These apps may be out of date so only flash if you want don't mind that and want themed versions. To fix the text colors go to settings>CyanogenMod settings>User Interface>Tweaks extras and select Import colors from XML and reboot. I have been told that this does not work on the nightlies and no, I will not make a version for them.
- Old versions will be left attached below until I have an alternate dl for them. Please use the download links directly below the changelog from now on.
UPDATE 8/16/10:
- A Manup's REVOlution theme version has been released for Sense based roms. View the post here.
- Added a battery only version for a different icon set. If the old icons look wrong to you and you want to keep it that way download the _wrong.zip version.
- A white version of the GTalk icon will be pushed to other versions soon.
UPDATE 8/15/10:
- Added a battery replacement only version.
UPDATE 8/14/10:
- Added a version with an animated white sync icon.

Just wanna say great work. Works perfectly on Fresh 3.1.0.1. But was wondering if your could change the green sync icon to white. IMHO I think it would look a lot better.

I agree ... a white sync icon would be legit.
Also, I'm new to android so bare with me.. but I just flashed a zip file that replaced the battery icon with a numeric icon..
Will I need to do anything, like remove a file, before flashing this new .zip file over, or will it just overwrite the old one?
thanks!

Just installed this on RevE.1, looks nice.
Is it possible make it like a blue theme, where everything green can be blue? And makes the white blue also, possibly with a white outline? It would be appreciated.
Nevermind, it was plugged in hah, great icons op, hope you do the same for CM.

You can unzip and throw your images in where you don't want them.
I also have a version WITHOUT percentages which use the stock icons, some animated, with white sync, gps, upload download being the animated ones.
I'm also working on a blue battery I saw someone mention that. Check out my sig link if you're interested.
Bump for a great mod! HTC was slacking on this one, and I can't believe they didn't do this stock.

FAQ
Does this rom have working bluetooth?
Yes!
How do I get to quicksettings?
Push settings button in notification pulldown to switch pages. Push and hold to go to settings...Oh, and click your heels together three times and buy a dog named toto.
Does this rom have gapps packaged in?
Yes
Is this CM based?
No
How do I skip setup on install/fullwipe?
Push the top option instead of bottom on first boot.
Why can't I install apps on market?
You installed dual pane zip which changed dpi. flash the rom without wipe, or change DPI and you will be able to install them.
Why am I getting weird glitches with camera?
It's an issue with ZBWU's camera hack on all DHD/INSPIRE ICS roms at the moment. Take landscape photos with flash, though I recommend installing LG Camera from market as a fix, or Pudding camera, whichever works best.
Will this rom get me laid?
Depends on how lubed you can get your phone comfortably without damage, or how good you are at lying to yourself and Photoshop.
I like black stuff and death metal rocks my dog's grave. Is the theme to get darker?
Yes, however at the moment I'm focusing on improving the source.
Do I need to full wipe if coming from xxx other rom?
Yes! My base is very different than other DHD/Inpsire ICS roms out at the moment. You don't need to fullwipe coming from one of the BHS roms unless I say so in the changelog, or you run into issues.
Are you being satirical?
Nope.
Are the screenshots up to date?
Almost never.
I prefer XXX launcher. Could you include it?
Good for you; No.
My phone won't run at 2GHZ, your rom sucks!
Cool story bro.
What's the secret password to your treehouse?
DIE COMMIE SCUM!
This FAQ got me really hot, want to have a discreet meet?
Send me photos with 5000USD to the e-mail in my paypal donate button, so I may get money from my cousin a nigerian prince since he needs it to unfreeze his bank accounts. But seriously, just send me photos. I once met up with my mom this way while I was wearing nothing but leather banana hammock. So photos are a must; can't re-iterate enough.

I ended up building this off b6 with b16 kernel.

All packaged apps (including gapps) have new icons. Contacts, mms, and phone are currently themed (though I want to do more to mms).
Edit: Now that I've uploaded it, I just realized I missed the Places icon bundled in Maps. I'll fix it in next release with transparent app drawer
whoa, this looks fantastic ! can't wait to try it out, will give feedback as soon as possible
Love the idea about moving apart from BLUE but going towards dark colors? hopefully you won't mind releasing an eye candy version with just a little more color variations.
Good job !

Thank You!
I'm actually working on making apps a lot darker with white text and black backgrounds now, but I was thinking about maybe doing a black/green variation down the road. I'm not really a huge color variation guy though, and theming ICS to this point gets quite intensive(don't have a problem with it, but the renamed 9patches in ICS do get kind of annoying).
Edit: it would take next to no work for a copy with stock app icons though.

This is a themed build beta6 LordClockan ICS. NOTHING DIFFERENT IS WORKING FROM LORDCLOCKAN'S BUILD6
I made this because I got tired of all the blue very quickly in ICS. This is made for those who like the look of ICS but don't like all the blue.
Launcher is themed, Gallery, Framework up the bum, Keyboard, Wallpapers, Browser, and way more than I can ever remember...too many countless hours on pain meds spent (bad burns).
PLEASE CHECK OUT THE BLACK HOLE LIVE WALLPAPER AND ALL STANDARD WALLPAPERS!
NOTHING DIFFERENT IS WORKING FROM LORDCLOCKAN'S BUILD6 Might as well get it over with... HEY GAIZ, CAMERA ISN'T WORKING, AND NEITHER IS *insert obligatory old app that isn't updated*
Changelog from LC's release:
Will be updated soon, figuring out what all I changed...
Changelog
Beta 2
New Base off ICSb6 and kernel b16. Fixed tons of issues I created.
Beta 3 MUST USE MY NEW GAPPS POSTED FOR PROPER THEMING
App icons are now properly themed.
Themed Contacts, Phone, and MMS.
Threw in QuickPic
Tossed in Brut.all's maps6.0.0-ownhere
Stuff I can't remember.
To be done:
1% battery icons based off new black/white ICS battery icons.
MMS black background, white text
Transparent App Drawer-Next Release
Re-theme Phone-Done
Here are GAPPS made for this build only. Won't break theming.

Tips: Install Script Manager to Undervolt. Just extract one of the UV zips and grab the script (99voltages). Set it to run as root and on boot if it's stable. I recommend No Frills CPU since SYStune hasn't been updated for ICS yet.

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by the way... would you mind and check EVANBIGFAN rom??? (and perhaps..... only perhaps) make a theme ????? THNX in advance and thnx 4 the black hole theme!!!! good luck!!!
hum everyhave different point of views for themes, i find it was a good idea to do a new theme
but am i wrong, or are the screenshot all B&W ?
Screenshots are color, rom is Black/white themed. Right down to the black hole live wallpaper and stock wallpapers. Might not suit everyone, but with CM7 I exclusively ran minimal magic theme.

Can be flashed over lordclockan's builds with my gapps also flashed, though I recommend full wipe. Currently ext3, but supports ext4 through converting system in 4ext recovery. I forgot, and think in b4 I'll do ext4 system by default.

Would love to give it a spin but Status 1 Abortion while trying to flash latest Beta 4. Yes, I know exactly what I am doing to save some confusion.

I've seen your stuff and I'm sure you do know what you're doing. I'm downloading now to test, and will be re-uploading once I get back to my main system. If I remember correctly, I tried a higher compression level that worked for me (tested a lot due to re-doing the updater script for init.d, ext4, and data partition), but that compression level might indeed be the issue. Should know for sure in about 45 when I get back. Out of curiosity, was this on 4ext recovery? If not, then I'm sure it's the compression level.
Edit: just downloaded, and I uploaded the wrong version. It did however flash for me. I'll fix it with the correct version once I get back to my main system though.

Yeah. I'm uploading the replacement zip at my usual compression. Weird that it worked for me and not you...Though I put up a partially broken version anyway as I found out, so thank you for that! The only thing I can think of is maybe it's a difference between 4ext standard and touch.
In about 6 minutes the recompressed, proper version will be done uploading.
Edit: I just put the fixed zip on the OP as 4.1. New gapps must be downloaded also since gapps were deleting /app
Edit2: I just recreated that error 1 issue without doing a fullwipe. for now I recommend a full wipe.

Thanks for the reupload. Yeah, I tried it without doing a full wipe an dit failed, did it a 3rd time with a full wipe and it failed. I will try 4.1 and let you know.
Any way that you could send a themed SMS/MMS app to me? Highly appreciated if you could, Thanks

[ROM][UCLA3]Buoyancy v1.4.0||Rogers/AT&T||[3/7/12]

First things first, this is a work-in-progress guys. I know there are multiple things that need to be modified, improved, added, or fixed, and I'm hard at work trying to get to all of them.
Buoyancy is based off the latest UCLA3 update, which seems to be performing faster than the previous firmware in terms of both data and regular speed.

How The Release System Will Work
As of right now I've decided to go with the 3 digit release system. This is how it will work. The first digit of the release, e.g. the 1 in buoyancy 1.0.0, represents the overall version of Buoyancy. Any changes made to this will be very major. The second digit represents the stable build number of that version. Any changes made to this will be made carefully, but will probably not be earth-shattering. Finally, the third digit is for builds that may be unstable but have new features I may add to the next stable release. I'll try to update the third digit every 3-4 days. The other digits will be updated when I feel the stability of the rom has increased.
Theming
Want to theme Buoyancy? Go here to edit the ROM options to your liking. Remember, if you create a super-awesome theme, be sure to send it my way so I can post it and take all the cred-- I mean let the community use it.
Porting
The following is my current progress on porting the Buoyancy to this Potato. I'm expecting great success; I'm fairly certain Potatoes float.
Code:
Variants: Mashed, Sweet, Russet, Mr. Potato Head.
Radio: If you stick some antennas into it that might work.
Power Source: Self-Sustainable
Storage: 2 bits: One peel, one inside.
Multitouch: Two fingers needed for proper peeling.
Drivers: As far as I know, potatoes make terrible drivers. Mostly due to the lack of current arm/hand/finger hierarchy support.
GPU: General Potato Unit. Capable of recreating images of Jesus on the skin.
Some Comments/Disclaimers/FAQ's/Important Things (Please Read)
Personal Thoughts: This is only my second rom I've published (the first on the cappy), but I must say that I'm pretty happy with the way it's turning out.
AT&T vs. Rogers: For 1.1.0+ I have decided to merge the two builds into one. If anyone on Roger's experiences problems with the new builds, please let me know.
Bravia Engine: While I did include the Bravia Engine port into this mod, it's difficult to test whether or not it is actually there besides just subjective screen observation. However, you need to trust me on this, it does help with video playback and picture quality.
Extended Power Menu: Added.
Swype: Woot, woot, working Swype!.
SOD: Not an issue! Plus, OC has returned!
Throttling: If you do end up getting throttled, I have confirmed that this method does in fact work with both versions of Buoyancy.
GPS Fix: I Would include the GPS fix, but it always seems to tell me I'm in Nevada. This would be okay if I was a resident of the Silver State, but unfortunately I'm not.
Kernels: As of right now I feel that Faux's kernel provides a good balance of speed and stability, and I'll probably be sticking to it for builds in the near future. However, if Da_g does in fact come out with an update to fix the SOD, then I'll return back to his, simply because it is wicked-fast.
OMG VIRUS WHEN DOWNLOAD HAXXXXXXX: Not to worry, I'm not actually trying to give you a trojan, I promise. The same notification people have been having when they attempt to download Buoyancy has happened to a lot of friends of mine when they try to download rooty things like SuperOneClick or a ROM. My best guess is that it has to do with Superuser privileges+an overactive anti-virus system. If you want to read more, go here
Yahoo Finance Force Closings: If you perform the "fix permissions" option in cwm this issue should resolve.
BLN For MMS: Alright, alright, I know that BLN is not currently working with the stock MMS.apk right now, but the problem is, the MMS.apk that BLN does work for FC's upon entering its settings. So please be patient while I try to work out one of these kinks.
Announcements (Also In Red Because It's Important)
Currently testing PDroid.
May try the new ICS Camera.apk that's been floating around recently.
Still working on that BLN Text Messaging
Current ICS Launcher is a Lil' Glitchy. You have been warned.
Yes, I'm sorry, 1.3.1 is a full-wipe version. But I have my reasons. For one, this is going to be the last build of Buoyancy for a little while since I'm going to try and focus my attention on ICS. The other is that I kept getting bootloops with a non-wipe version, which angered me into submission.
Updating to UCLA base in 1.4.0.

First things first, this is a beta guys. I know there are multiple things that need to be modified, improved, added, or fixed, and I'm hard at work trying to get to all of them.
Buoyancy is based off Bonestocketeer, created by playin4sheezy. Major thanks to him and all his hard work. Note:This ROM will wipe your data automatically, so no need to do it through cwm. However, it won't hurt if you do. Future non-major releases of Buoyancy will be updates and not require a data wipe.

Some Comments/Disclaimers
Personal Thoughts: This is my second rom I've created (the first on the cappy), and I've only actually had the Skyrocket for about two weeks, but I must say that I'm pretty happy with the way this first build turned out.
AT&T vs. Rogers: The only real differences between the two builds is the kernel and the radio... I'm fairly sure the AT&T version can run on Roger's and vice versa.
CRT Animation: There is a CRT Animation Mod out there in the forums right now, but for some reason it does not play well with the BoneStock base. If anyone could isolate the files in the framework-res.apk that are modified so I wouldn't have to tear through every inch of it, I'd be much obliged.
Extended Power Menu: I thought about adding this, but I figured with the 14-toggle mod, it wasn't really needed. As a side-note, with the 14-toggle mod, if you hit reboot it will give you options to reboot into recovery and download as well.
Please note that you are flashing this at your own risk, and I am in no way responsible for bricked phones, bricked cats, bricked bricks, or anything in between that may result from the flashing of this rom. This is a beta. Please be careful, but do enjoy.

Dear OP - Here is the Stock BoneSTOCKeteer framework-res.apk with nothing modified to it besides an XML to activate CRT off. I plan to use this for when i switch to the BoneSTOCK base for my ROM. Hope it is some use to you.

Ah thank god, I've been tearing through the framework-res.apk for the past 2 hours or so trying to find the modified file. You sir, are a great person, and I'll be sure to credit you when Buoyancy 1.0b2 rolls around.
NP , for future reference, the file you need to modify is (must decompile first, apktool) res/values/bools.xml and with notepad++ find "animatescreenlights" and change true to false than save and close and compile, glad to know i helped

Lol, you just helped me, now I know how I can mess with the framework-res.apk and not bork my phone like I did last time!

When it comes to the Launcher, I like HTC Sense, when it comes to Touch wiz, I don't like the Dock. I like the app drawer in the middle...I love Google's stock.
There's launcher2.apk for you from my CM7 source (stock GB launcher). It has speed tweaks to make the app drawer open quicker. push to system/app with root explorer, than make permissions match other apks, oh and OP feel free to use this in your ROM

To be included in 1.0b3, although maybe minus the speed tweak .
Thanks for the update! Much appreciated work, my friend. More people need to know about this ROM

Great ROM! I like the battery icon very much. And the launcher, but over all a great ROM. But i did see one weird thing, and I think you just forgot but the build.prop still says 1.0.0 when it's 1.1.0 xD I just installed and very nice! Just gotta test battery life. But I love it.
The absolute one thing that could make this ROM the best would be a nice theme, and as I read your working on that as we speak. It's just amazing what you dev's can come up with. So, from me and everyone else using dev ROM's, Thanks.
Also, a special thanks to M0D1441, he has helped me personally a lot and he really is a great guy. So hit that Thanks button for both of them! And check out M0D's ROM too, great also. I just prefer a more theme'd look and anti-stock as possible, but I love M0D's black/trans drop down bar.
Two great dev's. That's all I have to say for now. Just keep doing what your doing
P.S. If anyone needs a tester, I'm here. It's the least I can do for all the hard work you guys put into these ROM's.

Yeah, this was my bad, I was pretty tired when I finally finished building 1.1.0, and I figured that 1.1.1 would be arriving shortly (which it is), so I just left it as is. Thanks for the great reply though, it was very nice.
cool looking boot screen, so booting as I type, will report back later after a day or so
after just a few minutes, I find I neede to insall MoreLocale2, so I could get English U.S
after first boot it was a little choppy, but it seems is getting faster and faster
So, for now seems solid and stable for day to day usage
I have a question I'd like to pose... What do you guys think of the addition of Apps2SD in the next build? Good idea, bad idea, and maybe some reasons why. I could really use some feedback on this one.
First off nice theme I've been trying a few out seeing which one will help my battery as I've had some issues, since this is a Rogers theme hopefully it will help me out. One thing I've noticed and I don't know if you did this on purpose but on my lockscreen my battery is all random letters. Doesn't really bother me but just throwing it out there. Looking forward to your update, I'd really like to see the 14 notification toggle and volume keys to wake and I also like the battery

Hmmm... I'm not sure if these things are a Roger's issue because I have 14-toggle mod working fine on my AT&T variant. However, a new version will be out today that includes Faux's new kernel, so perhaps that will fix some of the issues.

[ROM][UVLH5][CWM]Blaze Tweaked ICS 2.2 UPDATED 12/26/12

Hey again everyone. While I am calling this Tweaked 2.x, this is really nothing more than moving all that was Gingerbread Tweaked over to the ICS UVLH5 base (although some extras have been worked in along the way). This was an INCREDIBLY TIME CONSUMING process, as I had never tinkered with ICS before - but on the upside I'm pretty happy with how things have turned out.
As always, this is still a work in progress (for example the lockscreens are sorely lacking in the current version here), but enough is done to warrant it being posted. Let me know if things work, or if any oddities come up. Also feel free to comment on how this might improve or if I've gone about anything in a not-so-smart way. If there is anything you would like to see (or wish wasn't there), let me know. I can't promise I'll do anything about it, but such requests keep me motivated and learning - and thats been the driving force behind my tinkering since it began.
I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS (GOOD OR BAD) AS A RESULT OF FLASHING OR ATTEMPTING TO FLASH WHAT IS POSTED HERE!
Usual rules apply - while very much stable in my experience you should be cautious whenever you flash. Make sure to wipe data/factory reset to avoid issues. Flash in CWM recovery.
As the Blaze is now privy to a number of AOSP-flavored ROMs, this DOES include a kernel - a great one by merwin that can be found here - make sure to thank him, he put A LOT of time into it! Also - this is still pretty much unthemed. There are a few minor theme-ish things going on in Mms and the Dialer, and the pulldown looks much more ICS-ish, but nothing major by any means - check out the screenshots for a bit of an idea of what changed.
CWM Installation instructions:
- Backup your current setup/data
- Download file and place on sdcard
- Boot into CWM recovery
- Recommended to wipe data/factory reset in CWM recovery
- Select and install the .zip you put on your sdcard
Download links can be found further down. Let me know if there are any suggestions/issues/etc - happy flashing!
Also - remember that this is the development thread, so all general questions/comments/conversation should go here. Thanks!

TWEAKTOOLS HOW-TO
Ok, while I find the interface to be rather intuitive, I figured I would put together a VERY BRIEF walkthrough on at least how to get started tinkering w/ tweaktools.
Getting started
First off, while you can use adb to run tweaktools from a computer, I'm not going to discuss this route (for those with the knowledge it's totally doable). For those going about things on their phone, here is what you need to do:
1) Open the already-installed Terminal Emulator app, then type "su" (without the quotes) at the $ prompt and hit enter
2) At least the first time you do this you'll get a prompt for superuser access - allow this of course
NOTE: If a message appears saying su could not be found, go into the Superuser app - you should see a prompt saying update su binary, which you should agree to, and then all should be well
3) Now at a # prompt, type "tweaktools" (again without quotes) and hit enter
4) You are now in tweaktools - read the screen, make selections, and have a good day.
Installing themes via tweaktools
NOTE: This section is in hopeful preparation that there WILL be a theme or two for this rom - we shall see. Currently it does nothing as there are no themes.
1) Start tweaktools
2) Select the themes option
3) Select a theme you are interested in
4) Here you can choose to view a screenshot (this should open it up in your browser on your phone), just DL the theme, just flash the theme if already DLed, or do a combination DL/flash.
Installing debloated/selected system apps via tweaktools
1) Start tweaktools
2) Select the applications option
3) Choose what you would like to do, which includes:
- Looking through a number of debloated/preselected system apps available through tweaktools and installing
- Removing any of the system apps that have been installed via tweaktools
- Install/remove system apps from your external sdcard
NOTE: Remember - these are apps that are going to /system/app - which is different than installing an apk from the play store for example.
Installing CWM-flashable mods via tweaktools
1) Start tweaktools
2) Select the CWM Mods option
3) Choose a general category to look through
4) Select an option. Here you can choose to just DL the mod, flash the mod if already DLed, or simultaneous DL/flash. Also, for boot animation/shutdown options you can choose to view a preview gif of the animation, which will open in your phones browser.
Installing "tweaks" via tweaktools
1) Start tweaktools
2) Choose tweaks menu
3) Select between init.d and non-init.d based tweaks
- REMEMBER: Many of the tweaks require init.d support (whether by kernel or other means) - which is baked in starting with Tweaked 2.1
4) Select the option you would like to install
NOTE: While I look them over, I rarely understand all that a script can do, so in no way do I make any guarantees regarding these!
Updating rom via tweaktools
1) Start tweaktools
2) Select the Check for Updates option
3) Here tweaktools will check what rom version you are and let you know if there is an update available on tweaktools
4) If there is, choose "y" to install the update
NOTE: This is also a handy way to see what version of Tweaked you are running
Tweaktools FAQ
Q: I can't connect/get into tweaktools - what gives?
A: Sometimes servers get busy, so there will be occasions where DLs will be slow, not work, etc. The best bet is to just give it some time and try again in a little bit.
Q: I can't connect/get into tweaktools - something about vold.fstab... what the hell?
A: A number of people have been discussing edits that make the system treat the external_sd as the internal sdcard - and tweaktools needs to know where to point when it comes to downloading things. As of right now the script is set up to handle one particular approach designed by merwin that is available via tweaktools, so if you hand-edited the file yourself chances are you've moved things around in vold.fstab so the script can't recognize what you did. Try the approach available via tweaktools (you can download the file from the main tweaktools site), or if there is something that you did that improves upon this approach PM me what you did and I will see about editing the script to recognize such things
Q: I still can't get into tweaktools - something about busybox... seriously what gives?
A: This really shouldn't happen, but on the off chance that it does flash this (md5 384F4F63E76D1BE372A444F10FC6D90D) and you should be good to go again.
Q: I keep getting an error when tweaktools boots into recovery to flash something - wtf?
A: Given all the recoveries we have available - this does happen. In particular both the touch and nontouch 6.0.1.4 clockworkmod recoveries from their official site will not work with the boot-into-recovery-and-flash function of tweaktools. All others have been tested and seem to work though!
Q: So I am in tweaktools, but my app/theme/cwm mod doesn't seem to stick/flashes REALLY fast?
A: Most situations can be resolved by simply clearing downloads, exiting tweaktools, and going back in after a little time has passed. Another thing to try is to make sure the phone is NOT connected to your computer once the phone reboots to go into recovery. Something else that I have noticed is that if a problem still persists, you can just download the file then manually go into CWM recovery and flash it there. They can also all be found here.
Q: When I start tweaktools it says there's an update... now what?
A: Well you should update - the only time updates are made available is when something is fixed or some new functionality is added. There are technically two things that can be updated - the launcher (this update will require a reboot into recovery), and the menu (this does NOT require a reboot). You should definitely keep these up-to-date.
Q: Where can I find more information on tweaktools?
A: While it isn't loads more by any means, more information on all that can be done with this incredibly useful utility can be found here!
FAQ
Q: I lost/don't have root after flashing this - what should I do?
A: First off, go into the Superuser app and accept the initial update prompt. If that doesn't work or the prompt never happens, flash the v0.99 version of SuperSU (md5 6722626255C8321C47922DA6A3484BA0) - note that this slightly differs from the one found here mostly to simplify and specify it for the Blaze.
Q: Why won't the lockscreen change when I select a different one?
A: Lockscreens are a wip - currently the only options that work are Circle and AOSP (which is what shows if you select ANYTHING other than circle). This also means that any options specific to certain lockscreens in the lockscreen options section of TSMParts will not do anything, as the lockscreens relevant to such options are not available.
Q: I'm having overlap issues with statusbar icons and center clock - what should I do?
A: Yeah - things may overlap, so you will have to either change settings to avoid the issue or just deal with it.
Q: Why can’t I back out of Google Now? Can you update this?
A: This is a known issue with the mod (see their FAQ list here), and it looks like support has come to an end as well. The workaround for the issue is - after pressing the back key if you then press the menu key and select Refresh, it will back out of the app properly. You cannot update this mod, and it looks doubtful that anyone will take the time to do it unfortuntately.
Q: I set a statusbar icon to hide, but it's still there. What gives?
A: The statusbar icon tweaks may require a little effort on your part for changes to take effect. All changes can be elicited with a reboot/hotboot, BUT for most there are other ways:
-- Bluetooth/vibrate-silent/alarm icons/ime -- just change their state (on/off or vibrate/sound, etc)
-- No sim -- this one requires a reboot/hotboot to elicit the change if it's already active.
Q: Scorched governor...? Never heard of it. What is it?
A: From the great merwin himself -
'Scorched' - this driver is rather similar to the 'lagfree' governor both in its source code and its purpose. The difference is that while lagfree seeks to give performance-on-demand by increasing immediately to the maximum CPU frequency, Scorched jumps immediately to a mid-point frequency and then gracefully increases or decreases the CPU frequency as required. This provides both performance-on-demand as well as extended battery life.
Q: How can I mess with the settings of the included Scorched kernel?
A: The included /system/etc/init.d/91scorched file, when run from terminal emulator (see below), can tell you what your current settings are (even if run without su). For those that are knowledgeable and comfortable with such things, you can manually edit this file to tweak just about every setting available in the kernel (settings take effect upon reboot). For more of a graphical interface the Android Tuner app is highly recommended. While it is a pay app (and well worth the $10), the free version will let you do most things - check it out!
To run 91scorched from terminal emulator type the following:
Code:
/system/bin/sh /system/etc/init.d/91scorched
Q: Why don't you mention blah blah blah in your FAQ? It would have helped me a lot!
A: My bad - PM me anything you think should be added to this that would be helpful for the general user base!

Well all that's left are the lockscreens really - and I haven't touched any of that yet. The update that'll be coming soon implements something I never got around to with the gingerbread tweaked... then it'll really just be lockscreens and maybe one or two things left on the long term to-do list.
Bro been running this since its release. Everything works. But dsp manager. I jus deleted it.

I'll start working on getting a Diff. DSP man to work with this ROM.
Can you add the new updated Google now to your 2.1 update please

EDIT: Now are you referring to making it actually out-of-the-box functional, or updating given the little "there's an update on the play store" blip within Google Now? If the former - see previous response. If the latter - I haven't tried digging around in anything, but methinks updates would be better handled by those responsible for the Google-Now-for-ICS mods folk than I. Sorry if I misinterpreted the original request.
EDIT2: Read through some of the Google-Now-for-ICS thread... things don't look all that great on that front. Apparently those in the know on this whole process lost interest/moved on to jellybean stuffs, so no updates will be coming from them. The reasons behind this decision will likely lead me to not doing anything as well (newer update changes lots of things, big pita, etc.) - apologies for the not-so-great news...
