Evo Stock 2.2 Rooted Question

I hope this is in the correct section... I've been searching but a little turned around and lost.
Just got a new Evo yesterday and it came with 2.2. I used this method: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=719763
I've also been reading a lot of forums and tutorials but still feel a little lost. I don't want to flash a custom ROM because I want 4G/WiMax but I would like to use a custom kernel to unlock the 30Hz refresh rate lock and enable overclocking/hotspot. I do not need HDMI.
I've been reading that Unrevoked 3 isn't a full root and I need to unlock my NAND via another method. I am also unsure how to change my kernel or which one to use on Froyo 2.2. I'm furthermore confused whether
How can I unlock my NAND after using the guide above, and could anyone recommend a kernel for my requirements?
My phones revision is 003.
I might just be an idiot LOL. It looks like if I downgraded to 2.1 and ran unrevoked forever, I should have S-OFF which means my NAND is unlocked already?
This means I should be able to just download a kernel compatible with 2.2 and flash that correct?
ok, SysFailure, here is the deal, follow the link below to root/nand-unlock your phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765496
You are 100% correct, the UnRevoked team has not created a exploit for a stock 2.2 froyo EVO, so the link shows you how to downgrade your EVO to 2.1, root and nand-unlock it, then upgrade to 2.2. BE ADVISED, his step-by-step procedure is not quite step-by-step. You can do it, just follow his steps EXACTLY, then if you hit an issue, think through it, get through it, right.
I rooted my stock 2.2 EVO using his steps. Here is what I have now:
Android Version: 2.2
Baseband Version: 2.15.00.07.28
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.15-g746f4f0
[email protected] #58
Build Number: 3.26.651.6 CL218634 release-keys
Software Number: 3.26.651.6
PRI Version 1.40_003
PRL Version 60670
How to tell if you have NAND-S OFF or NAND is unlocked, known as FULL ROOT access.
** after you perform the root/procedures in the previous post/thread.
Power Off Your phone/Press and hold <Sound Down Button> then hit the power button. You should see at the top, something like this:
SUPERSONIC EV2-3 SHIP S-OFF
Good Luck

[q] nexus s 2.3.4 update

I have tried the links posted in the forum to update my Nexus S but I always get some kind of error.
I own a Nexus S from T-mobile 9020t. I have previously upgraded manually from build GRH78C to GRI40. Currently my phone info states it is on GRI40 baseband JK8. I tried the GRI40 to GRJ22 update file but i get "status 7" error message while updating. I have never rooted my phone and I want to leave my phone unrooted and have the update.
If you know about any such issues and how to resolve it, please let me know.
Thanks.

[Q] Stuck on V10d

Hi guys,
I have a bit of a problem with my optimus 3d, ive had allsorts or roms installed, custom and stock and i have reflashed back to stock 10d using the binary file and lg flash tool, no problems there, however now ota update and lg update program are telling me I have the latest version! I'm pretty sure 10K is the latest version but my phone is having none of it. The last rom i had was the leaked GB rom and yes i have reflashed the froyo baseband when i went back to 10d. Any ideas why my phone cant see any updates?
Thanks
P.S. My phone is and unlocked Euro open version
If you have EuroOpen version of phone latest firmware is v10d.
You can flash v10k using kdz method in my sugnature.
Thanks for that mate, i'm glad someone knows what the most current firmware is, i'll probably just wait for gingerbread and get it ota when it's released
V10k Was latest EuroOpen, but LG deleted it from server.
Let me guess... LG deleted it with no explanation as to why?
I don't know In many countries v10k is the latest firmware.
And P920 is removed from the list in LGMOBILE support tool in the EuroOpen tab.

[Q] Need to update SGH-T869 Running Android 3.2 baseband T869UVKJ2 to ICS T869UVLG7

I would like to update my T-Mobile SGH-T869 currently running Android 3.2 Honeycomb baseband T869UVKJ2 to ICS baseband T869UVLG7. I installed the latest version of Kies on my Windows 7 PC. I then connect my device SGH-T869 to Kies running on my PC. I then get a message stating that "Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies". Acoording to T-Mobile and Samsung, the only "official" way to update to ICS is via Kies. But Kies does not work with my current baseband T869UVKJ2. Apparently you need to be at T869UVKL2 in order to be able to use Kies to update to ICS baseband T869UVLG7.
I also went into Settings/About Device to see if there are any over the air update. However, Software Update shows "No update available".
I am aware of using Odin3_V3.07 to flash using the stock ICS 4.0.5 T869UVLG7 Firmware ROM. But I don't want to go down that route just yet. Are there any other safer methods to update my T-Mobile SGH-T869 to ICS baseband T869UVLG7?
Update: I just contact Samsung Live Chat. They are not aware of the Android 3.2 baseband T869UVKJ2 that is running on my T-Mobile SGH-T869. That may be the reason Kies does not allow me to update to ICS baseband T869UVLG7.

I successfully used Odin to flash my T-Mobile SGH-T869 to ICS baseband T869UVLG7. I am now running ICS 4.0.4. I don't know why it shows 4.0.4.
I hope that you are aware of "brick bug" that come with ICS?. If not - search the threads. If I knew, before I flash mine, I would keep the 3.2.
Does anyone have 3.2 repair files?
I tried 4.0 but it blocked.

Help with putting stock ROM back on Verizon S6 (SM-G920v)

I had my phone rooted up until last year and an issue with the battery happened and I had no choice but to send it in for a battery replacement. When I got the phone back it had the latest OS at that time installed and was of course no longer rooted. So now I had no way to go back to root and had to live with that but since then my phone would never update on it's own to the latest Baseband version: G920VVRS4CQA3
and Build number: MMB29K.G920VVRS4CQA3
The OTA update was disabled when I rooted it and so now I can't OTA update it.
What is the best way to just flat wipe the phone so that it loads the OS and can then do OTA updates or will I need to find a current original stock rom to download (I've had no luck, so many links are crap).
Can anyone help please?
If I understand correctly, I need to dl the latest version and security patch and use odin to install. Will that completely wipe my phone so the crippled OTA update will work?
