I receive warning about free space available.
But, I'm sure that I have more than 150Mb free space. (I have a little musics and vids)
Can I reset free storage file ?
Thanks
My device : HTC Mozart 7.0.7392
Hardware Version : 0004
I can give more information if necessary
I have literally had to reste mine 3 times hard reset to clear the memory, its jsut cache, apps etc.
If you want to hard resest it will become stcok factory condition. You will loose everything but it will give you all your memory. Turn your phone off and hold both + and - of the volume buttons and then turn the phone on, keep on holding them, then you will get onscreen instructions.
Thanks for your answer.
Are there not other solution ?
I don't want loose all my data...
Can I delete cache... manually without problem ?
I have explorator in my phone... thanks to give me all folders that I can empty

No I don't think you can.
There's no other way. Obviously, you can backup your data before formatting.
Even I have about 3GB of untitled used space for I don't know what. Anyone aware what this thing is?
one thing I have found is if you connect your phone to multiple comps (Even if it is just for charging) Zune allocates some memory to each of those connections.
I had to reset my phone once (I used to connect it up to three diff computers one for zune and two in office for charging some times) I had hardly 700 mb left and had to hard reset my phone.
Now I just connect to one computer and take a power cord to office to ensure that I dont connect to any other comp even if it is just for charging...
Memory
Did you try powering down and back up. this does a soft reset and has helped me out a couple of times.

i bought my HTC just 2 months ago, no scratches but my phone takes long periods to get into an application, and sometimes when i write messages it just freezes... actually it freezes all the time. and on top of that it takes the wifi when is available but the internet pages do not load. nor the gprs.... can anyone help me please!!!!!
hi
hi
well u can make clear Storage so times it fix the problems , but u will lose data on the c: drive (where windows are no SD-memory)
Start>setting>look for "clear Storage"
enter 1234
yes
wait
and u will got bran new
another option
some time the memory get full
go to
internet Explorer>option>tools
Delete tempretery Internet file.
u will free some space
Maybe you can close some applications thru start - settings - system - memory and the 3th page. Otherwise a soft reset, this resets you're phone but not the data like "clear storage".
even after soft reset the phone is very slow and also when i try to write messages it just freezes... if i completely reset the phone im going to lose a program from which i can write in chinese... so are there any alternatives? i erased all the temp pages from the internet but i think i have too many contacts. (+100 contacts) could it be bc of that?
hey
hey there i had this same problem, my phone kept freezing so i returned i to vodafone who told me they were going to send it away for a new software flash. once it comes back ill let you know
i hope that its a softwere problem not a hardwere so
give me the full info for ur device and i will try to look about a new software the same as u have.(i.e HTC touch ,speed Ram and provider, maybe i can help u
P.S : if u have a warranty go for it it maybe coused by a hardwere failer and u dont want to make it cost u much.

This is how I hard reset my xda orbit 2 (polaris):
1) Get your stylus and place it in the hole next to the USB port, BUT DONT PUSH! Just get it ready but dont actually push the button inside the hole.
2)Place your fingers on the Windows and OK buttons
3)Press and hold the buttons, dont let go.
4)Stright away push the stylus into the hole and press the button inside. You can let go of the stylus once the button inside has been pushed
5)Keep holding onto the Windows and OK buttons
6)After 5 seconds let go of the Windows and OK buttons
7)If asked to press SEND, just press the green pickup call button.
Thats all!
Hi. First of all, sorry for my english. Second - is this necessary to pull out the SIM card and the memory card, when doing a hard reset ? And how to make (or with which software) a backup of my data before reseting - sms, mms, some pictures, docs ?
10x in advance
Great... now the included CDs are lost too... What are you people doing? Seriously!
User manual pages 230-231 for the Hard Reset
For backup, pages 144-146, and software included on the CD...
It's in the manual (you know... little black book which has "manual" printed on it) for Christ's sake...
10x, but...in the user manuals is nothing written about SIM card. The only action required for a memory card is to be pulled out, if is encrypted. What about if is not encrypted ? There`s not a word...
Included CD do not start, because of "...requires Adobe Flash Player version 8.0 or latter...", although I have version 9.0...till now - I fixed it just now . And installed Sprite Backup. So...the only question is about the SIM card ? Sorry for a stupid question, if the answer is simple, but no one said nothing about SIM card. It`s hard to say goodbay for 220 phone numbers....
I did a hard reset with my XDA ORBIT 2 about 30 minutes ago.. I left the SIM card and memory card in. No problems here, all works fine.
Concerning encryption on the memory card, you either need to (before you hard reset) backup all the files from your memory card to something else (e.g. a computer) or turn off encryption.
If you turn on encryption then the memory card will only be readable on the PDA you turned the encryption on to. If you hard reset that PDA then your PDA 'forgets' that memory card's encryption technique and the files will appear corrupt.
So basically as long as you use your memory card on the pda you turned encryption on ONLY and you don't hard reset the PDA, then its fine.
If you need to change the PDA or hard reset it, you will need to backup/turn off encryption on your memory card before doing so.
Don't worry about the SIM card's data... but if you want to be 100% sure, take it out before the HR...

BTW just for the record, XDA ORBIT 2's don't come with a hardcopy manual; instead it is saved on the CD that comes with it.
If you lose the CD, it can be accquired from the O2 website -

If you try to backup all your contacts to the SIM before the hard reset, I would take extra precaution; some SIM cards vary in size and if you try copying your contacts to it sometimes they do not all get saved. This happened to me and I only got about 11 contacts on my SIM. I recommed the program PIM Backup be used before the hard reset. If anyone likes I can provide a link to download it.

OP said TC, not Oribt 2... and yes, I know about it.

This is exactly the reason why I don't bother saving contacts to the SIM. All my contacts are synced whith several PCs.
Everything is fine, guys. Now must do some tweaks and registry optimization.
10x a lot for your help.
np.. but on a final note could I recommend SKtools - it has a section on optimising ur device.
also if you turn off the large start menu bar you will find the device is a lot faster - credit goes to te person that posted that
just brought a game from t-mobile was playin on it, but now when i try to go on it again through jblend, it wont let me and says (JBLEND FAILED TO RUN THE MIDLET BECAUSE MEMORY IS DANGEROUSLY LOW. PLEASE CREATE MORE SPACE BY REMOVING SOME FILES).
my phone has just returned from repair and has nothing on it, just like buyin from new. i have installed msn messenger, windows live and live search, n tht is it no pictures or music or anything.
can anyone please help, thanks.
i had the same problem, try a hard reset, sometimes when files get deleted it leaves the odd code behind, this code tells the fone that theres only X amount of space left. VERY annoying. i like to call them ghost files.
so try hard reset and if u have a storage card or storage on fone ( try not to use the fones memory!) save it to the space storage and run from there..u dont need to run from device.
or sometimes try a handset reboot. fixes 70% (imo) of problems..
full reboot...handset switch ON, remove battery WITH handset switched on, wait 5sec then pop battery back in and turn on.... this mite solve the prob.
(full handset reboot works for - drop calls,slow fone speed,interenet probs,sms failing,poor sig,freezing fone,etc)
hope this helps.
Long story short.... a friend factory reset his phone on accident.... yes you ask how..... phone holder pressed correct buttons to get into recovery, he grabbed phone , pressed home button on accident ... and that's that .
phone is running the new Nougat release.
Anyway, I know most of his pics should still be on the phone buried in the memory somewhere since nothing new has been written to the phone, is there ANY way to run some kind of file recovery utility , or get the phone in a state where the memory can be dumped etc. I've spent hours looking and I don't see much on JTAG or any way to get direct access to the memory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope!! They're gone! A factory reset does just that, resets and deletes everything and in all my time being here I've never seen anyone post a way to do that.. But I bet the FBI can do it lol.. Did he have a backup account set up? Because that could help which is why I always back my phone up to my wireless storage hard drive!
There are some apps in the market that will recover. I had to use it last year to recover a naked picture my friend girl took in my phone then deleted it before she gave it back lmao. Worked great too. Just remember don't put any new files or use camera before you restore
Hi all, my mom has an Motorola Moto G3 phone. Have noticed many weird things happening on the phone since yesterday.
The notification panel won't slide down. Also, no notifications are displayed in the notification bar, even when there are notifications, like receiving sms or messages on Whatsapp.
The phone has a swipe lock screen. But, the lock screen won't work, even though it shows in Security settings, that there is one.
Calls are being made from the phone, but no calls are being received. For example, if I call the phone, it says that the person is busy and the connection ends. My brother had also tried calling... same thing.
No apps can be downloaded or updated from the Play Store.
I tried to connect the phone to the PC, but, since I cannot slide down the notification panel, there is no way to change the connection mode to transfer data.
I should mention that the storage on the phone was getting close to being filled, and the phone was showing the warning that storage was less and that some of the functions might stop working. So, are these things because of that?
But, I did delete a lot of photos and videos and uninstalled apps, and now there is sufficient storage for the phone to run properly, but it still doesnt work, and these weird stuff are happening.
I suspect from the weird behavior that there might be a virus. Is that so?
What do I do? How will the phone return to sanity? How do I backup the data... if the solution is to factory reset the phone. There are important photos and videos and whatsapp data which I would like to save before performing a reset.
Any help will be appreciated.
A lot to cover there.
First Long press the power button whilst the phone is on.This will reboot to Safemode.See if you can now use a USB Data cable to backup what you need to your PC/Laptop/Tablet.
Note:Some USB cables are,"Charge Only" so check the USB cable is Data transfer capable.
Then if you have a Google account and are connected via Phone data or WiFi go Settings/Accounts/Google and untick and re-tick all sync options to make sure all your Google stuff is updated.
Then do a,"Hard Reset/Factory Restore.
Just put Moto G3 into youtube with the words Hard Reset,
https://www.youtube.com
Although a Hard reset seems like a big move I do one at least a couple of times a year as a kind of 10,000 mile service for my Android phones even if they are running well and it clears out all the junk I tend to accumulate and keeps them slick, fast and problem free.
HTH
Thanks a lot for your reply. Your post comes as a lifesaver.
I took a backup of the data by transferring stuff on to the SD card and then transferring the data from there to the computer.
I had booted in safe mode, but there too the phone showed same behavior. I also noticed that the home button, or the task manager button were not working too.
After taking the backup, I also changed the password for the Gmail account for security, in case the mobile was somehow compromised.
Then I wanted to do a factory reset, but the button seems to be greyed out, and there seems to be no way to perform a soft factory reset. So, your post comes at the nick of time to save me, as I was thinking what to do now. Thanks a ton!
Performed a hard reset of the phone, and the phone is working fine now. Everything is normal.
What might be the reason for such behavior though?
Not being able to lock the phone, install/update apps, factory reset... all this makes me think if it was some kind of malware.
Another reason I can think of is that the storage got full, and so these strange stuff started, but it should go back to normal when stuff was deleted and sufficient storage became available. Still, doesnt explain why lock wouldn't remain.... and other stuff. Really weird.
Modern,"Smart Phones" are very complex computers. With so many apps on them that get updated some updates don't always play nice and mess up the phones. You could spend hours tracking down a single app that might be a cause of a problem.
As you say as well the the storage on the phones might well have got clogged up with old Temporary data that has not been cleared out as it should.
For future reference another trick is to wipe the Cache partition from Recovery mode.I would have suggested this first but as you said space was running out it's best to have a clean start
Yes, it was good to have a clean start with the phone.
Thank you for that trick to wipe the cache partition from Recovery mode. Will keep that in mind.
Thanks a lot again.
