[Q]Is it possible to install Android OS on a iPhone clone Mobile ? - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
Is it possible to install or flash Android OS into an iPhone clone mobile from china?
One of my friend have that mobile and its just a ****..I was wondering whether it could run Android or not..
I have seen similar threads like this,They all say that those mobiles have weak RAMs and processors..
In this case, How about installing a light weight custom ROMs?
We don't even worry if the phone lags..
Note: the phone has java support.
/help

No replies?

I doubt it. I got one of those iphone i9 clones and it sucked. It can't even run the os that was on itself properly because the processor speed was too low..
AI don't see how much lighter you can make android, and the model processor/available ram is pretty much unexplored, plus they vary from seller to seller because they are each made from different factories, each cloning each other's products..

Ok,nevermind the processor thing.
Now,how is it possible to flash Android OS into the mobile?

[Q] "aPad" with Android 2.1... Win 7?

OK... I'm thinking this may be a pretty off the wall question and really underscores how little I know about mobile operating systems and devices but I just rooted my Galaxy S so I'm feeling super confident!
I was recently sent a link to a product called an "aPad". It's a shameless knock off of an iPad that runs the Android operating system. Spec's vary but the one I'm looking at has a 10.1" screen with a 1ghz processor running Android 2.1, 256mb DDR2 RAM (I'm thinking upgradable) 2-32GB removable memory, Google browser, etc. I'm thinking it would be as useful as a notepad.
What I'm wondering is, can Android be replaced with windows 7 (not mobile) with the touch pack? Are tablets built like regular computers?
Thanks!

[Q] DUAL BOOT??? Q/A's
I am a definite fan of both WP7 and Android both for their social integration and the development and customization abilities. So ive heard alot of poeple talking about the dual boot and most are basically trash talking the idea. But me on the other hand as well as many other poeple would agree that any phone whether it may be WP7 or android, anybody with enough knowledge to be able to unlock and root both would love to be able to enjoy what they want when they want. I mean the soul purpose of development no matter what phone or OS is the ability to push this technology to its limits, going as far as our hardware will go and letting people have what really isnt meant to be, as far as us as cutomers with any service and the limitations they come with. And i know this idea would have many supporters who would love to donate in hopes of one day having the best of both worlds. i have the samsung focus and ive done alot of research on this phone and anybody can look it up that this phone is basiclly the same identical phone as the samsung google nexus s, the only real difference is the OS capabilities that you get with android on the nexus. ive compared both and well hardware, camera mp's and capabilities (well the nexus doesnt have face detection), screen res, and even screen size is the same even made with the same type of glass(gorilla that is at least confirmed by samsung via twitter). My question, if the phone is essentially the same, would it be possible to dual boot the nexus stock 2.3 rom or even any custom that the nexus has or had and maybe even ice cream sandwich like i know the nexus will soon have or if not already have?. But im also keepin in mind that those roms would have to be customized and remade to work around the focuses WP7.5 OS with dual boot.
I like both as well, but the only way you can do this is to buy an HTC hd2.

can you provide at least a proof before you claim that both device are identical? getting spec sheet from the internet is not the same as getting the tech sheet from manufacturers.
of course i know there not completly identical since they were built for 2 totally different operating systems, well i mean they dont have the same brand name of processor but regardless there still 1gz, based on the specs ive seen same phone released one month after eachother just different housing and a curved screen. But i have looked at a bunch of tech review sites and im very fimiliar with custom roms and the rooting process of android as ive done many but i know very little about WP7 besides the fact that i forced the mango update via zune. i mean i know completly how to use the focus, but just not in the extent of chevron, interpop or in depth dev.
and why hd2, is there something in particular about that device or is it just the one that the only dual boot available and was designed for. the focus is a newer phone with a newer OS. Im guessing another dual boot would have to be developed because there 2 different phones or is it an HTC thing and the sense UI mixed with win mobile that only allows that certain dual boot capability.
The Focus and Nexus aren't the same

The HD2 is a powerful device. The HD7 is a slight redesign of it. The Evo 4G and Inspire 4G are a very slight redesign of it. I think the HD2 also had an unlocked boot loader, so it can be hacked to run nearly any OS (Android, MeeGo, Ubuntu, Windows Mobile, Windows Phone, and I even saw one with Windows 95)

They are definitely not the same phone. Windows Phone only supports WVGA, so it won't even work properly on the Nexus. Windows Phone doesn't even support dual core processors, so if it did work, it would be slow (1 core, 600mhz). The HD2 is more similiar to the Focus then the Nexus is.
answer
YES. if and only if the phones have
1. identical hardware 100% identical hardware down to the pcb, hardware keys camera models, (delimited by availability of driver)
2. and program loader (to write the os to the internal storage) is available for both os,
3. as well as someone actually splices the bootloaders (both bootloadrs for both os - something like magloader)
4. and both filesystem can exist in a single internal disc and accessed by both OS
5. and drivers for both OS's are readily available.
last but not least
6. someone (with the capacity to understand in manufacturing and programming a consumer device with full know-how in driver writing, coding, file system access bla bla bla owns a jtag writer) actually wants to do it.

hd2 was already windows mobile, and from what I've heard someone happened to get a test release of wp7 so that kind of fell into their lap.
Android is open source, so if there is enough interest it can be done, though with the hd2 there was a lot more to the story...
It is truly a one of a kind device, chances are you won't see any other dual booting phones for wp7 and android

Lenovo Sisley S90 unboxing review--best iphone 6 clone

This is a high tech times, which inspired most manufacturers in cellphone creating its best geek to draw their customers' attention. In China, there are numerous brands which is well-known to all, such as Xiaomi, Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo, Oppo and so on, which can even beat Samsung and Apple in sales. People tend to pursue and prefer the inexpensive device with good performance to those the luxury things. Therefore, Lenovo also has made a big step to create the iphone 6 clone, named as Lenovo Sisley S90. And can you believe it will be the best clone of iphone 6? See more details with me about the real test of Lenovo Sisley S90.
First, in view of the apperance, i was shocked by the lookalike of iphone 6, although it's not the 1:1 clone of iphone 6. Due to its larger screen with 5inch 1280*720p HD IPS screen of Lenovo Sisley S90, i love its screen and display. It's easy to hold and take. When i hold it, it is so thinner than other lenovo smartphones. Lenovo has made great progress on its weight and design.
Second, this time, Lenovo didn't use the MTK chipset but Snapdragon 410 Quad core 1.2ghz CPU, from the chipset, it will be better to use snapdragon chipest, it runs faster than mtk chipset. When i play "temple run", the speed is extremely swift. Lenovo s90 has 19219 high antutu test score. i like the whole performance. I never worry about the crashing of my smartphone.
Third, as for me, i think ram 1gb is not enough to store the apps i want, but 16gb rom is completely enough to download the ideal videos or games for me. I strongly advice lenovo s90 should release RAM 2gb version. Right now, i am enjoying it. Hope it can let me enjoy more.
Fourth, nowadays, the system of Android4.4 kitkat enjoys wide popularity. It's no exception for this nice Lenovo Sisley S90, although it's android4.4 OS, i believe it will be updated Android5.0 lollipop OS. Therefore, i will enjoy the new UI.
Fifth, it's said that Lenovo Sisley S90 is famous for the dual camera, which provide the ultra-clear and auto shooting function. It has 13.0MP Rear Camera and 8.0MP Front Camera, higher than other smartphones like Huawei, ZTE and so on. This good feature attracts me a lot. I can take every beautiful moment by this smartphone.
Latest but not least, 4G LTE network has been a tendency around the world, this lenovo s90 supports 4G FDD LTE network, which can be used in Europe and other countries. GPS is also necessary in a smartphone. I can use google map to position the way i want.
Therefore, lenovo s90 is a super competivie smartphone for me. I have not only experienced the dual camera, but also test the battery with 2300 mAh, which can support long-time working. Hope my experience will be helpful for you.

I got it from China already rooted, it has 2gb of Ram it runs fantastic and smoothly. The best dual sim for 200 $. There is also another version only in Grey colour with 2gb of ram and 32 gb of space.
Hi is it rooted from the box ? I also having problem in rooting this device. hope someone can help us on this. Thanks.
Sent from my Lenovo S90-A using XDA Free mobile app
i believe it's not hd ips, it's super amoled. I got champagne gold 32gb S90-A. its lollipop 5.0.2 update messes alot of its performance. it drains fast, a bit laggy, sounds too low, camera not its best both front and back. But if you are not into details, L update is just ok for you except for the battery drains faster. i suggest stay on kitkat until they fix the problem.

Will.i.am iAm+ Puls loading another ROM

Hey,
I recently acquired a Will.i.am iAm+ Puls, and want to see if I can load full android on it (it's currently running a forked version of 4.1). It's an awful product, but heck figured it might be fun to try to load full android on it or even android wear and see what I can do. Problem is, it does not look like it has any USB connectivity, so would need some suggestion on how to load a ROM on it otherwise as I'm unfamiliar with how to do it.
If anyone could provide any guidance that would be great
For the curious here's some specs:
1.7-inch PMOLED Display
dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon
1GB RAM
16GB of storage
GSM 3G
WiFi
Bluetooth 4.0
GPS
pedometer (not actually sure if it has it.. isn't surfaced in UI)
accelerometer (not actually sure if it has it.. isn't surfaced in UI)
Sorry.. I'm new, but should this have actually been posted in Q&A?

cheap 'Welcome' phone

Hi all hope everyone had a great xmas.
Ive not been in here since the XDA Universal days... glad to see its grown and grown.
Quick question.. I have a cheap chinese 'Welcome' phone
Is it posiable to flash a standard rom to these..as its allegedly got 265gb storage and 8gb ram...
but in reality has 16gb storage and 2gb ram
and Android version is miles out too.. says its 10.0 .. but i suspect its Android 5/6
Its ok for the price.. just wish it would tell the truth.. it may run a bit smoother then.
unsure of the processor though..
Build number l700_lyx_k18_welcome_q_540x1200_128 a16_en_yl_v02
Custom built version ALPS.L1.MP6.V2_WEG.L_P73
cheers for any light you can put on this subject, and appologies if its been asked before.. I didi have a look about in the search feature....
Cheers all...
Hi. I got mugged as well. I thought I was buying a Cheap End Huawei P50 Pro but got a Welcome K40 Pro+,. It has the wallpaper like Xaomi K40Pro+. It should have 16GB RAM 512GB ROM, but sadly, only 0.92902 GB RAM and 4GB ROM. There is a whole raft of lies. It has mainboard , sp7731e_1h10 (32bit). The OS is meant to be Android 11 but it comes up as Oreo. I found the same mainboard on a post from GSM from 2018, a Presto phone that was being rooted by the disappointed owner who complained about loads of bloat and malware.
I can only use 1 app at a time, If I try 2 apps the previous on quits.
