I'm going to my local AT&T store tomorrow to check this out. I like!
I can only see the iPhone version on Incipio's site. This must be really new...let us know if AT&T stores are actually stocking these!
I hope it's 2000+mAp or I am not getting it.

That's cool, but this phone is already huge, in the picture it makes it look like it adds 20% more height and 10% more width. For battery it might be worth it tho, hehe. Anyone know how much it is? ... oh just saw $70 ... ouch, hmm. I bought an original second battery on eBay for $20, and it's doing the trick for those times when I run too low
Agree. A 2nd battery is good enough for me. Don't wanna add more weight / size to the phone

Don't worry bella, it's no bigger or heavier than the GIANT shells/cases/whatever many of us decide to put on our phones anyway.
It weighs 2 oz and ADDS 1450mAh battery capacity.
I'll probably get one to use on trips, etc. Not much of a daily driver for me at that weight. The Infuse weighs just under 5 oz naked.

I guess the reasoning is here that you have the 2nd battery already attached to the phone, and you don't have to carry it around separately somewhere.

*STING* ... lol, guess I deserved that, haha. If I see a big bulge in your pants, I'll remember it's your phone tho, so I'm not confused it might be something else, ehhe *sting back!*...
At 1450 mah it's not spectacular, but great for a road trip or flights to Asia... I'd just as soon carry extra batteries at $25 each, since I can get 1750 mah x 3 for the same price you paid for 1450, but I definitely understand the all-in-one concept, makes sense.
I wonder how long it will be before the line gets blurred between a 7" tablet and a 4.5" phone... I like the Dell streak aside from the fact it's dell, so maybe soon...

I do tend to think of my Infuse as a mini-tablet that is more or less pocketable. In fact, I haven't touched my iPad since I got it.
My fiancee did suggest I leave my phone in the car when we went to my daughter's kindergarten graduation today. It does create quite a bulge. I'm sure she didn't want me garnering any extra attention from the soccer moms. She tends to be the jealous type.

Yeh, I think guys and girls carry messenger bags or purses or some sort of backpack many places, so a few years ago I'd have called you crazy for suggesting a 4.5" phone, but now that I have one, I kinda want an updated 7" Galaxy Tab w\ voice\data capability. I almost pulled the trigger and bought the International Version of the Galaxy Tab 7" (it's unlocked, has voice and SMS enabled)... but given the slow processor I opted to wait until a more viable option comes out soon. I never hold a phone up to my head, and 90% of my use is text\data.... so I think it's my next natural step in evolution.
And LOL on the comment about the soccer moms w\ phone in pocket, hahaha
I wonder how this solution would have any side effect on the overall lifetime of the samsung battery inside tje phone.

I don't think it will make that much of a difference. It's the same as plugging it into the charger. Besides, the stock battery is replaceable and cheap.
Now if I were using the offGRID case on the iPhone, I might wonder about the long term effect on that internal, hard(er) to replace and (more) expensive battery.

No offense, but for the link you have for that battery, any battery that only costs $5 has got to be cheaply made and I wouldn't think ANYONE would want anything less than a high grade battery to put in their phone.
So much risk with buying something so cheap compared to paying more for a legit product. For the battery to overheat and damage the phone definitely wouldn't be worth the cost savings with this product.
Just my 2 cents, but to each their own.

Thanks for the input. However I've never had problems in the past before buying aftermarket battery replacements for any smartphone I've owned. So that's why I continue to buy off eBay, mainly because of great experience.
Anyway, I always do my research first before purchasing aftermarket products and I've never come across anyone with any complaints regarding batteries destroying their phone before....at least with the same phones that I've used. I mean I understand there's always that risk with the cheaper products, but it doesn't really concern me unless I've seen proof that aftermarket batteries for this device specifically has in fact destroyed one's HTC.
No point for me in spending $50 on a product just because of speculation. That's my 2 cents ^.^
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
Sorry if I inferred you didn't do your research before making a purchase, my apologies if it came across as such.
And if you've had great success with after market batteries in the past and feel comfortable do as such, obviously, good to hear.
Batteries just pose such a problem if they aren't legit, scares me away from purchasing anything other than an HTC battery. Again, that's just me.
I can tell you from experience, and others here can as well, that if you call HTC and complain about the battery life, etc, they'll send you a new one for free. They also sent me a new battery door and SIM door too, no questions asked. It's worth doing if you want another battery!

The dock is pretty sweet. I specifically got the spare battery because of the dock
I would say it holds the device pretty well. But because the usb port is a bit on the right side of the device, when you plug it in the weight of the phone makes it slant a bit to the left but it's not really that noticeable as you can barely tell in the photos. Regardless it still holds pretty well. I would think the 3rd image I uploaded should speak for itself lol

I just use the super cheap ones that come with my cases. They're pretty good. I don't necessarily need a superfantabulous one because if u mess up then it's such a waste of money. I always screw up on the first try ^_^'
There's anti-glare ones too that are pretty good if you don't like always having to wipe your finger prints off your screen. But they usually degrade the resolution quality very slightly which people usually do mind with an HD screen

For those who travel a lot like me, it's very handy to have a spare oppose to an external charger. It's much easier to just pop a fresh battery in and not have to find a charger to stand next to a wall outlet to make calls...

I'm thining about ordering some generic 1800 batteries for the touch 4g 2 which I'm told will fit the epic. Ebay has 3 and a charger for 11 bucks including shipping. I know the Anker 1800mAh is supposed to be pretty good but since I've gone with the 3500mAh fatt batts....NOTHING else compares, not even the OEM 1800mAh
You found a 3500 that fits??
I have some genric 1500's right now at I get random shut downs though I think that is gb related.

Yeah, I use the one's with the extended back cover, nothing compares to their value or battery life.
I'd be interested in seeing how the generic 1800s do though, I have one 1500 generic and it's never given me random restarts but it was a little weaker than my original OEM. I'd say go for the bundle if your interested, you'll easily get your $11 worth.

I got "OEMs" for my Epic and my wife's Evo that I doubt are really OEM, though they say so. Life seems less than our many-times-cycled original equipment. I got mine RIGHT before I read the 1800mah thread, so I have multiple reasons to be po'd at myself.
I have the 1800 batteries and found I only got around 2 more hours from them. The trade off for 2 extra hours were not worth extra thick phone.

Not sure about the generic ones but the OEM ones definitely fit. Rocking one now and it is awesome. Finally don't have to charge my phone during the day. Highly recommended.

I just bought these generics and they got here yesterday I'm still working on calibrating them. So far they seem to work great. Ill post back after I have a chance to kill the battery and recharge it a few times. On a side note what's a good app to find what apps are killing my battery just so I can get a good idea of what these battery can do.

Well I will have to say these batterys work very well. I get way more life out of these then I do my stock 1500 mah. Plus I have 3 of them so I am able to keep a extra on me just in case. I would recomend buying them plus they were cheap

beezie42, what is the name of the seller you bought the battery from? I found several vendors on ebay that have that deal. Can you post a link to the item you bought? Thanks!
How about these generic batteries?
Hello XDA, big fan behind the scene so I am coming out.
Found these Epic 4g Touch batteries and want to see what you great experts thought about them before buying them.
Just wanted to know if this will fit my Sprint Epic 4g SPH-D700 phone with stock back side plate.
From buy.com : GTMax 3X Standard Lithium-Ion Battery+Battery Charger+Lanyard for Samsung Epic Touch 4G D710 - 088515984282
sorry I can't post link cuz I am a newber...=(
They are generic 1800mAh that I have also seen on ebay.
Looks like a great deal to get 3X 1800mAh Batteries plus a charger for less than the price of a Samsung OEM 1800mAh battery.
Thanks for your input...=)

I just got 2 of these and a universal battery charger for about $20 w/ Amazon Prime shipping =).
Took pics of my first charge cycle. Let's see if this works...
That's almost 3 hours of screen time, 40 minutes of talking, 10 hours total. They do seem better compared to my OEM Samsung 1500mah. And they're cheap, to boot!
Running latest CM7 with Samurai kernel.

So I went into work today and saw that we had receiving a shipment of extended batteries for the Infuse. I decided to purchase the battery for my phone since I was planning on buying a backup one anyway. Needless to say, the battery is larger than the original, much larger. It comes with the back plate to replace the factory one for the extended battery. When I put it in it had 63% charge, I have been trying to drain this thing all night to get it to turn itself off from no charge, so I can fully recharge it. It has been 9 hours and 2% is left. I will update this once I fully charge it, and post the screen shot of the full drain stats.
Be sure to upload some comparison pictures for good measure
I have a previous one from the original bat. Will upload both at the time. Currently At 91% after full charge phone been off charger for six hours or so

I know Radio Shack sells Digital Energy. I haven't seen an Infuse extended battery there but I have seen one for the Rumor Touch :/
I purchased a 3500mAh extended battery from amazon a while back. It also came with back plate. It was $9.99 + $3 shipping. I get amazing battery life now. Roughly like this.....
Very light-light use: 2.5-3 days
Medium use: 1.5 days
VERY heavy use: 14-16 hours.
It was the best $13 i ever spent on this phone...
The original battery was more like this.....
VERY light use: 22-24 hours
Medium use: 8-10 hours
VERY Heavy use: 4-5 hours
I work at the Shack. And i get about 28 hours mild to heavy use. Wifi gps and brightness always on. Still trying to get a proper screen shot. should have it up today. And the entended battery is two times tthe size of the original. Adds about an inch of tthickness to back of phone. Also weighs slightly more illget the specifics soon. Dont expect to find a case to fit, there isnt one. you could cut a hole in a silicone case but i havent ttried it.

Pictures of extended/regular battery size, these are at 800 pixels, I am not sure what the size requirements are for pictures if they are too big let me know for future reference. The battery usage pics will be posted later tonight if the battery has drained itself by then:

Just curious, what do you consider "mild to heavy" use? That's a pretty vague scale.
And also, i think your ruler is a little off . There is no way the back ADDS an inch of thickness. Even with the extended battery, the entire phone isn't even an inch.
I dont have a ruler. I am not advertising ffor the battery i am just offering my opinions. To be more specific it adds 2-3cm to the phone thickness.
Mild to heavy meaning using my gps wifi and no auto brightness a majority of the day. I use waze gps, stream music, have a live wallpaper, apps like voxer words with friends and hanging with friends several widgets that update.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
I'm not trying to be an ass, but maybe you should get a ruler, because i promise you it doesn't "add" anywhere near 2-3 cm(1.1 inch). More like 2-3 mm.
And i won't debate your intent, but no one will ever buy and accessory for a phone today that adds the bulk you are claiming.
---------- Post added at 08:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:30 PM ----------
What i was suggesting was being more specific about your usage. Not being on auto brightness and having widgets and live wallpaper doesn't really tell us enough information to come to a conclusion. And saying mild to heavy usage is like saying... Some days I barely use my phone and other days i can't put it down, and in both situations i get 28 hours of battery life. There is no possible way whatsoever that you are getting 28 hours on HEAVY use. Sorry, it just won't happen. Mild use? yes, without a doubt, but not heavy.
I honestly don't think you are purposely trying to lie about a product that you sell. But my main concern is that others may see these claims and expect too much or not enough. I have the same battery and i know these claims aren't true.
Like i said, i have the same battery and back cover and my ENTIRE phone is only 0.56 inches thick, using a micrometer. I'm not sure where your EXTRA 2-3cm (1.1 inch) is coming from.
Don't take this as a personal attack, i know it must sound like it, but it's not. I just want people to be properly informed.
I found one at my work and confirm that it adds only around 4mm or so more to the thickness of the phone. I didn't see anyone post prices, sorry if I missed it.. But this battery is $55. Not sure if it's worth that much to me if you can't get a case for it.

Does it come with suspension cables to help hold that brick to your face on long calls? I use a Bluetooth, but since most don't, seriously, how are you going to support that monster on your phone's back?
I'm all for making these phones a little thicker with the QI charging battery covers, but I never understood those ridiculous batteries and thick covers.... but people love them, I guess! They keep making them for every new phone that comes out!

Sign up for Ingress, then you'll wish they made 15,000 mAh batteries.
That game uses sucks through your battery like there's no tomorrow, even with undervolting.

+1 on the Ingress. I tried it once on my Atrix and it nearly drained my battery to dead in like 30 mins. However, I think 7000mAh might be overkill for most people. Removable batteries FTW.
a external battery? will get my phone bulky
btw ... i see that anker has the market first s4 battery, but its 2100mah, do u think they guys will have at least 2600mah soon?

Surely easier just to carry a spare battery in your wallet?
Unless of course you're planning a month long trip in the jungle.
not to mention if a battery that big were to explode! you might be left with a stump of a leg!
I say that, but assuming it is a quality battery, a case that big might be nice for some people. I prefer slim, and carry an extra battery in my car or desk.
I use this one my S3 and it's amazing, best extended battery out there, I've gotten 3 day runs out of it.
And you guys are overreacting ahaha, it really isn't that big and it really adds some much needed weight to the phone and looks/feels much better then the alternative options out there obviously other then carrying around a spare battery and switching but that's a hassle keeping both charged.
A lot of the kernel devs over on the sprint s3 use it as well to try and get the best battery life possible with their constant kernel tweak updates - we call it squeezing 7000 lemons

ive already been in contact with ZeroLemon and they told me,
the extended battery will be released mid May.
i also asked about the capacity, but they weren't willing to tell me.
we can expect 7000+ mAh for sure though.
I like that the cover actually fits over the entire phone instead of making it look pregnant. I still do have concerns about how large it will make this phone though.
