How would I go about updating my paid apps so they work with 2.2? Is it as easy as just recompiling them with the 2.2 SDK? Or do I need the apps source etc. I am tired of waiting on some devs to update apps 4 weeks later...
Any kind of hope for an answer? I am talking about my own apps i have bought and i don't plan on sharing. Just would like some help. Google didn't turn up much.
why would you have to update apps you purchased? the developers update them, and most of them have already since 2.2 has been out for the n1 for a while now.
Not my nexusmod live wallpaper... its been 4 weeks and not one update to it. I wanna update it myself. Cause i own it and i can...i just don't know how.
not sure what you're doing wrong but I see it in the market for me? is this not the same app? did you run the market fix for the froyo leak that's in the dev section?
Um did i say anything about it not being in the market? It fcs when i try to use it with froyo.
aren't all those LWP's included in CM6? I would imagine you could just install the livewallpaper.apk from it and you'll have them.
it has nothing to do with the livewallpaper.apk... it's not coded for froyo. maybe a livewallpaper.apk from a 2.1 will 'patch it' but i dunno.
and it didnt' work in cm6 either, btw.
I need a good app dev. Its customizable nexus like wallpaper except you can customize it a pretty good amount which is why i bought it. Way better then stock .apks. i might ask stericson.

i agree completely and the nexus revamped pro looks like complete **** no matter what settings u have it on. I realllly miss nexusmod wish the guy would update it.
I don't know if I am posting in the right spot, but I would like to know how to download it on my Droid Incredible. (first android phone [got it yesterday!]) If anyone can do a step-by-step, that would be awesome.
Search for it in the Android Market. Definitely the simplest way.
tried searching for this today, and no results. best bet is to find someone with the .apk and install from that, because it doesn't seem to be in the market anymore...
Nintendo made the dev pull it. There's a download link around here for it tho just do a search.

This was (I'm pretty sure, anyway) the most recent version available on the market.

Legend it still works hehe. On my 7t pro
Noobie here so please be kind.
I have been reading posts for only a couple of weeks and was wanting to try tnt lite 4.2 but what I can't understand is it really needed after the OTA update. Is there any real advantage? I get the handango market and play "angry birds" just fine. I guess what I am asking is it still worth it?
I have install cwm but just wanted some input before I pulled the trigger.
I have not done it
I am using their stock ROM without any issues for the past month now. Switched to the classic home and it has been working great. Yaa there is no android market, but there are lots of other places to get apps and you can easily side load apps and they have been working great for me! I don't think I will be changing the ROM on mine (maybe if someone gets honeycomb going on it then I might reconsider).
Hope this helps!
I use stock 3588 with the enhancement pack. Stablest I have seen yet. Ran both Vegan and TNT Lite and liked them, but little intricacies caused my to go back. Sounds like there is an OTA in the works that looks pretty sweet.
TnT seems to be cooking up an update that, if released, will add a LOT of the speed enhancements that TNT Lite has had for the last 2 months.
You'd still want a custom ROM for full market, root, adhoc and a few other things - but I agree that TnT is getting better with each update they make. I hope that continues.
I'm also using stock with enhancement pack. Market is still somewhat limited as compared to my Droid 1 but you can side load.
Problem with side loading is the malware. Even GAM has been getting some nasty bugs. TNTlite has been very stable and faster. I ran stock until a week ago.
I just ordered one of these. I didnt do my research until after I bought it. I didnt realize it doesnt have the android market. So, I'm guessing it doesnt have the google apps either??? Like no gmail, youtube, etc?
Can you just get the market apk and side load it and have the full android market?

Just spend some time with the stickies and read through various posts here. All of that and more are covered. Stickies are your friend.

Is it possible to get the market on here on the stock rom, or does it have to be a custom rom?

No need for that if all you want is market. Either install the enhancement pack, whuch gives you market plus more, or get the GoogleServicesFramework.apk and Vending.apk and put them in /system/app.

It seems like that next OTA might be the one that gives a reason to upgrade, assuming the update doesn't have the problem w the boot thing.

Not my experience: enhancement worked, but very limited, moving to tntlite gives probably 80% vs 1%
Thanks I did install the enhancement pack and got the market up and running.
WHERe do you bet enhancement pack. Thanks all

Listen to me very carefully. It takes about 30 seconds of your time to fix the market.

And it starts! LOL the non researching 10k+ crew are probably flooding the xda as we speak trying to figure out why this thing isn't what they expected
I like to think of it as a Pinto engine in a Ferrari lol, You just need to swap out the rom with tnt lite or another great rom and you will be juuuuuuust fine. Most of all roms come with market prebuilt in. If you want to stick with stock Viewsonic 2.2... well then IDK what your thinking lol
is there a way to get Gmail contacts and Google Calendar without flashing a different rom. I plan on keeping the stock rom most likley BUT really want gmail-contacts-calendar sync with google . ( dont care as much about market as I sideload)
Sorry about the wait... Big thanks to B-boy for getting a big part of this done while I was in a themeing "funk" so to speak. This should install right over my themed 1.2.3. If not just remove 1.2.3 and reinstall the new themed version...

And don't forget, if you like my app.... I like beer!!!
Thanks! This works great on my Droid Charge.
Will check this out Thanks
Given that the highlight of this release is that you themed the APK, would you be so kind as to provide us with a screenshot? Thanks in advance.
I will as soon as I can but if you use Dropbox now, everything that is white will be black and everything that is black will be white.... its inverted.....
OP updated with a screenshot......
installed, love it! thanks!
Installs perfectly fine and looks great thanks for your work
Thanks much
Awesome
Looks great, man. Fits in nicely with CM7 and it's gingerbread black theme. Works much better than the blue!
Many thanks!
Awesome work man -- definitely fits my setup. Thanks
this is awesome, although I am having troublee getting it to install on my G2 with CM7. I accidentally uninstalled my previous version by deleting it from /data/app, rather than with Titanium Backup like I normally do. now when I go to install it, it says it will be replacing another app, which it shouldn't say if the previous one is fully gone. and then it will say not installed. I don't see any traces of the previous one in data/data or anywhere, so I don't know what to do next, maybe when I flash the next nightly I can get it to work.
worked fine and looks great on my Sidekick 4G btw! thx for this.
Edit: Ha, I got it to work! what I did was reinstall Dropbox from the market, then uninstall it using Titanium Backup this time. then went to the Black version, and it installed right away! weird

Awesome! Matches every black theme on my phone.
I actually uninstalled previous version from app data/ uninstall and installed the new version. Maybe because I have my TB folder in sdcard-ext. this way system doesn't "see" both versions? Just thinking...
But I like and works fine. thanks!

And when it come new update from market, does it become white again or stay's black? Im asking if you can update your black verzion thru Market and if update's fine and still stays black?
You've hit the front page. Im sure your dropbox will have bandwidth exceeded issues from people downloading so much.
Heres a mirror of it.
this is amazing thanks for all the hard work! keep it up

When an update comes, if you do the update it either won't install or will change it back to white... I usually get the update themed within a few days, just depends on how busy I am with family and work....
You can always use TiB to detach it from the market and that way it won't worry you about updates until I get a new one done...
NICE! Thanks!
From HTC G2 with xda premium.
Looks great on my NS. Many thanks!!
How install
Hi Guys,
Like to install this.
What I liked to know does my SG2 have to be rooted or can I install on my stock ROM.
And do need to uninstall the original Dropbox to do so.
Thanks for any advice

I'm not sure how well my translator works, but it might be accurate enough.
So, bjballar41, uhh in regard to Sense and to the Market/Play question, is your Girlfriends phone rooted?
If the phone is not rooted, she might want to check for software/firmware updates. Sounds like she is still running froyo, android 2.2.
Uh, ROM version aside, there's a d/l for the play store.apk. Google it. I did that way back, b/c I was still on market 2.5 (I think)

But is the play store an improvement? I recently went back to a nandroid of the ROM I found most stable. I have the old market back and am loving it compared to the more recent veal they have foisted upon the unsuspecting masses. Yes, it may be a good idea to have the apk, but I won't install it unless my market stops working. My 2 cents.
Edit: Veal? Really? I typed "crap". Lol, autocorrect.
Disclaimer: This is not advice. It is just something that fell from between my ears.

As it is stock ATT never updated the Inspire to anything past 2.3 with the older sense. It didn't even get the Sense 3.0 update HTC pushed out. This is the reason foe not having the lock screen. Unless you root it and flash a custom from it won't happen. The market maybe OS version dependet

I don't know about better. It looks like the 3.x series of Market. I will say that the 2.x Market I had had started having random times where it wouldn't connect.
