THis question becoz galaxsy s2 released in UK has the band for the 3g network with USA.
Does anyone know if sensation has the 850/1900 band for 3g with ATT ?
No, it'll only get EDGE on AT&T. Voice will be fine however.

Hi,
I would like to know if a Sprint TP2 will fully work on a Canadian carrier (like Telus or Rogers)? I know it will work, but I heard from some people it will be stuck to 2g. Is that true? Is there a way to enable 3G in Canada for the Sprint TP2?
Thanks
Sam
No. The Sprint (and Verizon) TP2 devices only have support for 2100 WCDMA in GSM mode which is what is used in Japan and Europe. Canada does not use that frequency, so you'll be limited to 2G if you're using a Sprint TP2 in Canada in GSM mode.
Hi,
i live in argentina, and i found i dont have 3g coverage.
bands in argentina are http://www.mobileworldlive.com/maps/network.php?cid=3206&cname=Argentina
Do anyone know if is there a way to config my xt720 to bands 850/1900?
tks!
There isn't anything to configure. The phone automatically defaults to the 850/1900 bands when 3G isn't available.
but if in my country bands ar 850/1900, why do i only have edge?

You probably won't ever get 3G due to different bands on the phone versus your country's. Edge only.

To expand on what the Rev said from what i know in North America all XT720s that were sold, were W-CDMA/AWS i.e. their 3G bands were 1700mhz down link and 2100mhz uplink. Although they did have quad band 2G i.e. GSM 850/900/1800/1900.
So if in Argentina they are using 3G frequencies 850mhz down link 1900mhz uplink then the xt720 will never get 3G HSPA, phones from the following carriers will work Telstra NextG phones (Australian), Rogers (Canadian), Bell New 3G (Canadian), Telus New 3G (Canadian), and AT&T (USA).
Hope this helps.

Thanks, I didn't know the specifics off the top of my head, I just knew it wasn't going to work.
So does anyone know if this thing support AT&T 3G bands? If not, is it like the G2x and capable of it but just disabled in the baseband
Daru
Nope, its strictly T-mo. You'll get 2g on ATT.
The only phones I know that can go 3g everywhere are Nokia phones. I love their build quality but Symbian SUCKS!

Band (frequency): 850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS: Band I (2100);UMTS: Band IV (AWS);Band II (1900)
I only see 2G Edge when I roam on mine.
Hi,
I am a telstra customer from Australia. Telstra is rolling out its first handset on their new LTE network next week, the HTC Velocity (aka HTC Holiday or Vivid, i think).
The Telstra LTE network currently only runs on the 1800mhz frequency. Telstras 3G network runs on 850mhz australia wide and 2100 i think in built-up areas.
Short of ending my contract early or buying a Velocity outright (which you cant for another few months, according to telstra), I began a search for a mobile device that supports both 3G 850mhz UMTS and 4G 1800mhz LTE. This is a very hard combo to find.
Has anyone else had any luck finding a decent/flagship android phone from HTC or Samsung that supports both these frequencies? I do not care about 2G quadband compatability.
So far all I have come up with is the Samsung Galaxy S 2 LTE, but i cannot confirm this in fact has 850mhz UMTS.
Hey guys, i bought a z3 D6653. it supports lte band 1800mhz and 2100mhz.....the iphone 6 uses the same bands to connect to lte on tmo but with the z3 i only get hspa. i was told by the tmobile rep that i need 1700mhz and 2100mhz . can anyone confirm that my model doent work with lte tmo or maybe my apn settings are wrong?

your model will not work at all on T-mobile LTE (which needs band 2, 4, 12)
your model will only get 3G in refarmed 1900mhz areas
your model will get 2G/ EDGE
you should return/sell that model, and get another model (wait for D6616 official model with band 12 / wifi callin gsupport), or get D6603/D6633/D6643
