Z4root - HTC Inspire 4G

Ok for rom manager and titanium is z4root sufficient?
Or do I need root for more steps in the flashing process?
All in all is a temp root sufficient or do I NEED perma root?

Do the full root, i don't think z4root will do anything.
You have to have S-OFF to flash anything btw.

Perma. Fully root your phone to avoid problems. You lose root when you turn off your phone so if you wanna flash something, you WILL need Perma root.

And s-off like wade7919 said. But that will be taken care of during the rooting process

Superoneclick

Can it be used to root and sideload the inspire?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
No. Make a gold card and either do attn1's hack kit or bubby's easy 1 click GUI.

If you just want to sideload then you won't need root, just use the Sideload Wonder Machine. If you want root then you'll have to use one of the two methods that gunny mentioned, there's no Superoneclick. If you go with bybby's tool it should take you less then 30 minutes to root.

nope. all it does is give the phone admin rights.

You void the warrenty by rooting the phone... but that's a standard idea
Like any "root" access to a system, anything you grant that level of access to can circumvent basically any and all security on the device. You basically give the "master key" to anything you grant root access to, but that is the intent -- just think before you grant.
If you only occasionally truly need root access (which is often the case), you can always "temp-root" the device with adb, do what you need from that shell, and never grant root access to user-land programs.
How do I temporarily root it? I only need to.delete some of the apps that came with the phone

Just Admin rights.
Why would I loose acess to those
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
Wrong context, All you gain with rooting is Admin rights...
However if you just want to clear some of the bloatware out then a temp root from the shell would be best way to go. You should be able to use the SuperOneClick method for that.
But by temp root you mean root take off bloatware then unroot
Right?*

temp root, for me, means gain root through adb shell, do what you need to, then exit

Try this first.. which is easier... redownload/install Superuser app from Market... see if that fixes your issue.

[Q] rooting help [NS4G]

I used 3 different rooting programs and it never rooted I just ended up unlocking the bootloader. Can anyone share any insight?
Plus on my computer I can't install any programs so is there any apps on the phone I can use to root it like gingerbreak?
I'm on 4.1.1
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
How do you unlock bootloader? If you do this via fastboot then it is also possible to flash a custom recovery. This is what you need to do in order to flash superuser.
If you don't have fastboot drivers working, I guess you should wait for someone that knows a way around it or visit a friend that can install programs.
