[q] how can i get miui camera app to cm7

is there a way to port the MIUI camera app on the latest CM7?
there is one i found but it doesnt support the ffc!
i love cm7 but i love the camera from miui and i just dont want to be on miui just for that camera app
i tried to copy and save the miui camera into my sdcard then when i flash the cm7 rom and install the miui camera app wont install and when i use root explorer to move the app to system/app it install the apk but when i open the camera i get a fc
if you seen the camera ui from miui and the stock gingerbread youll know what im talking about

Wow! That a grand idea! I wonder why no one else thought of this. Wait. What? Someone did? Really? Will it work? No? Okay.

hey FatalityBoyZahy hope you can make all the roms you have in your mind before you go to the Marines or else as your link i installed that miui camera app but for some reason it doesnt supported the front facing camera

I've had no luck getting MIUI apps to run on other roms.
Would be nice though because the Phone Dialer/Contacts is the best I've ever used, and the Messaging, and the Music, are freakin' awesome.... hence why I use MIUI.
It takes a bunch of 3rd party apps to make other roms to semi-work with the same functionality.

in anycase here is the miui camera app that actually supports ffc.

Guys I searched in net. There I found very useful information. I got all 2.3.7 cyanogen mod stock apps.

From .rar file extract apps & replace in system/apps.
Note: Works only in CM7 firmware.

Can you list the apps please which are included.
How do we replace system apps just over write it with root explorer?
Since it will overwrite how do we take backup apk file format so if things go wrong we can install older apk back.

ya I think u are right. Because I saw theme manager.apk file also in it which is only available in cm7. But most of apk works nicely.
Can u please help me for my querry in general thread???

better is to keep a cwm backup before replacing files.

may be that problem is associated with the gallery itself oe the wallpaper is not of the proper resolution you can use my gallery.apk it works fine

Actually the wallpaper resolution is perfect. I have set it as wallpaper in horizontal mode saveral times. This gallary is really super smooth.
Can u please upload ur gallary3d.apk file for me???

I think you should highlight the Note: Only for CM7...

nice find! perhaps it would be helpful if you could point out which apps are safe to use and which might cause some damage
for the record, car home and CMWwallpapers work fine (car home goes in /system/app, CMWwallpapers can be installed as normal)

[Q] CM7 & stock apps

Hello,
I am currently testing Kyrillos' ROM v10 (based on CM7) which is very good, but I was trying to restore some stock apps from froyo and, of course, this is not working at all...
I am really missing the memo app, but I have to grab back my memos backup, and unfortunately I can't find a working .apk to try to restore datas on it, is there a way to avoid me to go back to froyo to get my memos back and then reflash to CM7 (which is definitely my fav rom!)?

Well wait for the latest version of Kyorakernel and then you can multiboot and use CM7 as well as Froyo.

I dont think that this problem is with holo sandwich i guess, have a clean install and try but if still it happens with u, post it on the Holo Sandwich's thread and report the owner of the ROM.

It's a bug which is not yet fix from CM9 to Cm10

Just dont say thanks, press thanks if we helped and u if u like that ROM use "Camera Zoom FX" u will love it and there will be no problem.

Try the hotfix provided in the Rom section. Or as the fellow Explorers suggested Camera FX Zoom rocks!
And yup its a CM 9 and CM 10 bug.

I never knew there was a problem with the camera when taking photos of faces. I guess I never even tried it as it is only a 3mp fixed focus camera, but camera zoom fx gives better quality shots in general and doesn't have the face bug, so $1.50 well spent. Thanks hsn97.

Try ProCapture + Panorama, it makes a great quality picture too and also a great panoramic pictures.

Procapture + panorama does sound very good and it is is on sale at the moment as well, but it doesn't do videos. I think I prefer just having one camera app. Thanks bluerain28

ChaCha original ROM's camera is the best... you can search "ics+" or "jb+" on Google Play to install ics or jb camera on gingerbeard.

You can search for some other apps for example "Photaf 3D Panorama Pro(it is the BEST)" ,"Pano" , "HD Panorama" and ...
but you know, because of landscape screen its really hard to work with a panorama app in ChaCha.
The best way is that you take 3 or more picture from a scene and after that you can use Photoshop on your PC to create panorama picture.
test the suggested app..:good: "Photaf 3D Panorama Pro" is the best and work correctly in ChaCha.

nice info mate, indeed the stock app is awesome although I remember to simply take a picture while touching the screen for 3 secs aproximately, does your stock app does it or just with the trigger?
