[Q] Delete All SMS? (Maybe in mango?) - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to delete all SMS at one time in NoDo? I Don't think there is, but I am still learning a lot of "tricks." If there is not a way does anyone know if Mango will add this functionality?

Anyone know if this is possible now that some beta version of Mango are floating about?

[Q] Accessing Work's Microsoft Exchange Email... maybe?

Hello.
So, I finally got a work email (yay) and I was wondering if there was any way possible to use a "hack" to make it so I can receive my emails on my phone. Currently, all they have is stuff for BlackBerry's... and I asked the IT guys if there's any way I could get it on my Android phone (Rooted Moto Droid)... they said no.
So, I'm asking you guys. After looking around in the settings some (that I know of), it doesn't look to promising, but figured I'd at least ask.
I have no idea what kind of information you guys would need, so, just ask and I'll tell you want I can.
Thanks!
Jeremy

Where are SMS stored?

Hi everybody
I would update to Mango, but I don't wanna lose my SMS... Does anybody know how I can save them? Maybe the file where they're stored so that I can copy It on my computer using TouchXplorer... Or is there any way to update to Mango without losing my SMS??
Thank you

Just like with every previous update before you ain't gonna lose anything. No E-Mails, no games or game progresses and no SMS either. But if you care so much about your SMS, you should wait for the official mango release. Because the beta won't be able to be updated to the official and final release. Thus you will need to restore the last backup made before you installed pre_mango. Which means you'll lose every data (including SMS, game progress etc.) you gathered during the use of pre_mango beta.
Thank you very much for the reply
I'll try with the backup method and then I'll restore it when an official version of Mango will be released.
Hoping that in future I'll be able to backup my SMS, like I did on Android and even Windows Mobile...

[Q] Using LG MFG app to add additional languages to mango rtm

Just updated from 7712 to 7720 rtm. However, I hadn't noticed the trick of adding additional languages through a registry editor. Too late for that I guess.
Does anyone know if I can use the LG MFG app for this, and if so what values to add?
If not, is there a way to downgrade back to NoDo?
Thanks

the original article says that registry cannot be edited on Mango, which we know isn't entirely true, definitely not for LG users. with the registry keys given in the post it should be possible to add your favorite language and connect the device to Zune client and hope for a language update. Hit or miss of course at this point nobody has tried this yet and it could screw up a working phone.
you can downgrade to NoDo if you have a backup. If you followed the threads here to upgrade to 7720 then you should have a backup of a NoDo restore point. You just copy that into your
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Phone Update folder so that it looks something like this with your device ID
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Phone Update\f52e4324 - 18eO0804 - 7918db00 - d63473cf
the Zune client should then see the restore point when you connect the phone and go to Settings/Phone/Update. the restore point should be bottom right.
also, you may want to put a question mark on the subject title. people will be disappointed to find that this is not a guide on how to but just a question

Well, you're right ... SlideIT is for Windows Mobile 6.5 / Android and not for WP7...
That's probably why I didn't understand how to install it. LOL. Thanks.
Is there an alternative to it currently?
I think at the moment it's impossible to change the SIP on WP7.
But there's tons of exciting developemnt around native things going on, so maybe the future will bring alternative keyboards...

Hello,
New to the windows 8 phone. I need to have it remind me of missed text and phone calls( like old fashioned pagers) for emergency notifications. I can not find any apps to do do this. Does anyone know of any apps to do this? Are any apps in the works?
Thanks
