Hello! I have problem with market...On the market is not showing all my applications installed I tried to delete the cache and reinstall some apps, but nothing has changed????? Please help me!
Clear cache >> clear data >> force stop & if that doesn't work doing the previously mentioned immediately followed by a reboot usually works for me.
Happened to me twice now. Had to ultimately reflash gapps
It's a common problem for many countries recently "added" to the list with paid apps available.
I've tried every solution I can think off and none of them work. Google f*cked up, simple as that.
titanium backup used to have a market fix, dont know if paid still does. it used to fix it for me.
I try all metods...clear all market cache reboot...but nothing...how to make backup???

have you tried it without booting up market after the cache and data wipes and waiting a few minutes after rebooting?
have you tried with both TI back up and with the applications settings screen(each seperately and exclusively)?

Didn't know vegan 4 was around .....
I am having somewhat the same problem. I was on CM6.1B4, all working ok but wanted to check out this vegan ROM since it is getting so much traction. I installed vegan beta 3. Tried the market fix, got the error, rebooted, waited over 5 mins, nothing. Tried this over and over.
I keep getting 'Network Error, please try again' in the market. Yes wifi is on and working, I can browse the web, download from the web. Once in a while get the market to show a couple apps and download them. But for the most part the market errors and/or is empty.
Here is the stuff I tried. I did a data/cache wipe on ROM install. I also tried a data/cache wipe 2 more times. I have tried the market fix over and over. Sometime I do not get the market error (the expected one). I tried the new market, with the market fix.
Someone please help, what am I doing wrong, why am I getting the network error. Thing is useless without the market. Gmail seems to have issues too downloading mail. This everything worked fine with CM6.1, does the wifi support 802.11b/g/n in vegan?
What are the exact steps from ROM install or data/cache wipe to get market up and running? And don't point me to the market fix, I wants steps prior to that....
You could just install Applanet... granted it only has like the top 10,000 android market apps... It essentially has everything and anything you would really want from the market. ..
Oh yeah and its free and no need to root..

I found this worked for me and might work for you too.
I goto the settings and select applications and then system
apps. I basically disable google service framework, market and
market update. I then use T. backup and look for google frame-
works and wip the data. I then try to run the market, it should
fail .. You do a complete shutdown and restart ... If you done
it correctly it should get the market working.

When you are wiping the cache for the market in the applications settings do you actually see the byte size for cache go to zero 0.00B? I had the same situation on one of my rebuilds - had to wipe and rebuild because the clear cache nor the clear data were actually clearing (i.e., showing zero).
I had the same issue, tried many many times, no error. it worked for me when I first logging to Google market first. Then, do the market fix..

Neither did i know there is vegan 4!!!!!!!
After having issues with my Gallery and other things, I have flashed up to TNT 4.2 and did the supplicant and the market fix. I can see most apps in the market and I can install from the market, but when I go to MY APPS the only ones showing are my purchased apps. I manually restored apps from Titanium one by one, as I was not sure what I was doing. All apps are working but don't show under My Apps in the marketplace.
They do show in Settings under Downloaded applications. Any idea how to fix this? I have redone the market fix, numerous times.
Did you wipe your data/cache before or after you installed the supplement? I had the same problem because I didn't. So I did that and then did the market fix and it worked perfectly.
If that doesn't work try side loading a older version of the market and replace the current one. For a while I used the market apk that was on my moto droid, because i was having some problems with the one that comes with the rom.

Keep in mind that it seems that each one fixes the market, but hides apps that you could see previously. I have tried all three and have seen different apps that other wouldn't show.

Download one free app, from the Market. Then check "My Apps" again. This seems to be a requirement for all the sideloaded apps to show up.

I wiped data and cache before installing the ROM but did not wipe data and cache before the supplement. Should I just go to recovery and wipe data/cache now and then retry the market fix?. Will I lose anything by wiping data and cache? I am not sure what that does.

It wouldn't hurt to try. So I say go for it.
Robeet,
I d/l a free app and and that app along with my paid apps show but none of other free apps.
AJkid93, will I lose anything when I wipe data and cache?
Yes you will, but if you don't want to lose everything you can dl titanium backup and backup everything. You can also do a nandroid backup just in case wiping the data/cache doesn't help. This way you can just revert back to the way it is before you wipe all of the data.
It's been about 5 days now that i can't download anything from the market, all of them hang on downloading and after a while says "download unsucessfull"
i've tried canceling and restarting the download, clearing the cache and data for the market, restarting the phone. Nothing helped.
i'm with cyanogen mod 6.1 and Nexus One
You could download apps without issues before? Well, make sure the memory of your tablet pc is enough for the downloaded apps. Actually I think you should always download and install apps on the memory card instead of the tablet itself.
Does it actually download a certain amount or does it not even get round to downloading? Have you got enough memory free for the apps you're trying to download?
Doesn't even start. I've got plenty of space
Try wiping dalvik cache and fixing app permissions.
what's that?
reboot into recovery mode

can you update that as well?
how if yes
Honestly, if you are on a Nexus one, switch over to CM7. They have a stable that was released in May and it works very well.
I have a Nexus One and love the new CM7.
Yes it would be nice to do that, the only thing that stops me is that he recommends to NOT use titanium backup after, cause it my mess it up.
So i'll have to spend half day with the phone :>
That's why i was looking for at least temporal fix of the market
The CM7 rom that I use (GSB3.5 on a Droid Eris) also recommends not using Titanium Backup, so I use MyBackup Root. I've switched back and forth from numerous other Sense, CM7, and AOSP roms and have never had a problem restoring apps and data. So if that's your only issue switching over to CM7, you might try that. Of course, you wanna do a NAND backup first so you can always have a backup.
As for your Market problem, I've had the same thing happen, and most of the time I just keep trying to download an app until it works. Though that's tedious and doesn't fix the issue. If clearing Market data doesn't work, then rebooting into your recovery and fixing permissions and clearing the Davlik cache has typically worked for me.
Good luck, and let us know what works.
flash it again or try to insert a gmail first and market will be in menu then

Try going into Settings/Applications/Manage Apps, then Clear all the apps Data and Cache that have anything to do with Google!
Especially look for Market, Download, Checkin Services, and whatever else, then Reboot... If that Still Doesnt work Reflash the Rom or Restore a Nandroid Backup!
Good Luck!

Hi all,
When i reflash a new rom, all my apps which are supposed to just re download on their own get to a point and then about 30 + of them just fail.
Sometimes it says that there isn't enough space on the SD card, even though i've got plenty (16GB)
It's a real ballache to have to re download them one at a time and if i have to reboot then i lose the collection and that means i have to remember them and i always seem to forget some.
I only use titanium for a couple of apps because i don't see the point seeing as the android market usually does a good enough job of restoring my apps on it's own.
Rom's which this has happened with:
Coredroid
Insertcoin
P3D Sense
Android Revolution.
I always do a full wipe regardless of whether i'm instructed to or not, i format my card after every other flash of a rom and everything is usually tip top.
I'm about to re install a rom now and i'm betting that the same thing happens again.
Any help with this would be a great help.
Many thanks.

Your /cache partition is filling up while performing all the simultaneous downloads during the restore process. Android then aborts the download. You need to delete the orphaned apk files in that folder to clear the cache.
I think Google needs to improve the smarts in the restore process to prevent the cache from filling up
nvm Rumball beat me.

Nice one for that, but wouldn't i be clearing it by wiping the cache just before i flash the rom?
Would a second wipe help?
EDIT: Sonofabiiiatch it happened again, this is a pain in the ass man.
No, because its filling up because of your downloads, all the downloads at once have to store the files in the cache before installing it and with 30+ downloads it fills up quick, because of this i only ever use titanium to restore app.

Ah i see, but what if titanium restores apps which the market is already restoring? Won't you end up with two sets of everything?
Sounds silly but it's partly the reason why i don't use titanium so much.
EDIT: Shame on google for having such a **** part to their system.
just after you wipe , go to the market app and cancel all the downloads then dl titanium and restore, problem solved, and if your using the newer market, then it should just be a simple cancel all button on the top. Titanium also has the option of only restoring the apps you are missing.

Ahh i've not seen that option, i'll look into it next time i'm going to flash a new rom which won't be long Thanks for all your help m8. I appreciate it.
Just an FYI , the option is found by opening the menu and then selecting batch, it will bring up a bunch of option for restoring, wiping and backing up.
Hi everyone,
I have been using my nexus 5 since 4-5 days now and everything was working fine till last night when whatsapp started giving me errors (unfortunately app has been closed). I uninstalled whatsapp and when I am trying to re install it, its now giving me error "unknown error code on application install -24"
I have tried installing via apk, playstore's website, cleared the cache and data of playstore app, rebooted phone but nothing works.
I am hesitant to root my nexus 5 as there is no official recovery available and people are having issues when rooting the device and I cannot afford to have an unstable phone. Hard reset is an option but I would like to avoid it if possible. I have read that if I delete the related whatsapp folder from data/data folder somehow then it will fix the issue. Is there any way I could access and delete that folder without being rooted or if someone has any other solution to my problem.
Any help is much appreciated

Same thing happened to me, Did you enable ART? Because that's what caused my errors (force closing). After switching back to Dalvik and trying to re-install, i was getting -24 error on the play store. I rebooted a few times and left it for a few hours. Tried again and it worked.
Whatsapp is i believe in-compatible with ART.

Okay, As for as i know, it did fix itself when i rebooted a few times and after a while it just worked.
Things i also tried that might have helped. Clear cache for the playstore which you tried. i would do this again after you switched back to Dalvik. and make sure whatsapp is uninstalled before switching to Dalvik. Once you switch back and have cleared cache from the playstore, try to re-install Whatsapp.
As for the backup, on your phone is a whatsapp folder that has a backup of your messages and photos etc. When you re-install whatsapp it'll pick that up and restore your stuff. There is no need to delete that folder.
I Hope that fixes it for you.

It didnt work. I had to factory reset my phone eventually and wasted my evening doing all the restores, I wish Android had a seamless backup system something like that of Apple's. Helium/Titanium/mybackup, all of them have some kind of flaws

I am not rooted at the moment so TB wasnt really an option. Helium works fine only for apps and their data but I am looking for something that can restore my phone exactly how it was before the reset including home screens, settings etc without being rooted.

That what you are looking for would be a nandroid backup made in a custom recovery, that restores everything. But not possible without root.
Hi,
I have the same problem. Error -24 if I want to install Whatsapp from Google Play Store. Local installation after downloading the APK from Whatsapp gives also an error (app not installed).
Tried several times to delete the cache and setting of the Play Store app and the Google Framework. Followed by restarts of the phone. Until now I was NOT succesful.
As far as I read on other forums, the problem is, that in data/data/ already exists a Whatsapp-directory and therefore Whatsapp doesn't want to install. You could delete this directory, but only if you are rooted. I avoided this step until now, because it's a new phone with warranty and after rooting, all data ist wiped.
I also tried adb to delete this directory, but same effect. Because the phone is not rooted, I can't remove this directory by remote shell.
Is there no way to clean up such remains WITHOUT root?
Greets,
