hi guys,
Runkeeper is out on android now but it looks like they screwed around with the settings of the app market because I can't find it there with my HTC desire. It's free so I though that someone could please upload the apk somewhere and post it here! thanks guys.

What's runkeeper?
Keeps track of speed, milage, etc, for jogging, hiking walking. Links to maps and can track your progress. Can upload but I dont use that function and no little about it. A best of its kind app IMO and was and is very popular on iphone. I just came here to post that it was available for android and saw this thread. I already downloaded and works great. Like most similar apps it uses lots of battery which is the only downside I am aware of.
@freaksey
I wanted to upload it for you, but it is protected app hence it is automatically odexed when installing. Anyone know some way to dump it, I'm too lazy to deodex it ;-)
I am also very interested in this app and also cannot find it on my HTC Hero.
Thanks in advance for the one that can dump the app from the market and upload it here.
Looking forward to it!

looks like Google doesn't like the HTC desire.
Here's another Android owner who wants to but cannot find (let alone install) Runkeeper....
Hope it'll be sorted out soon
I tried to deodex it, but had some problems. You must wait for JF:
http://code.google.com/p/smali/issues/detail?id=26
i hope someone soon figures out how to root the phone so we can get market enabler....
also, if you guys figure out how to get us runkeeper it would be greatly appreciated....
it doesnt show up with my Desire either
..........
Thnx so much! Just installed it. Now let's see if and how it works.
Thnx again
I get the message (in dutch, translated to english):
"Application did not install"
"Runkeeper cannot be installed on this phone"
I am running android 1.5 on HTC Hero

It is for Donut and up, sorry.
AArgh thanks for the message though!
I just removed my 2.1 ROM for the much more stable 1.5 [MoDaCo Custom ROM 3.2]
I'll try to use SportyPal tonight ...
Good luck, Legends ;-)
I read some place that the Runkeeper needs to work only on 2.0 or 2.1

Then you read wrong. As I wrote above, it requires 1.6 .
you rock brut.all!!!
thanks man, i appreciate it!!!
I normally use buddyrunner, but I tried this out tonight, it's quite good. Seems to be more responsive and accurate than buddyrunner, but not as many options, for instance no customizable audio alerts.
Might try it out soon.
What I don't like about it is the Runkeeper webpage.. I find it "too heavy" for mobile usage: if I click on a route link on my phone, it takes ages for the browser to render over 3G.

If any one else in the community can confirm apps not on market, not missing. Then please post. Help will be thanked and given credit.
Thank you,

I would like to update this as much as possible to hopefully make it easy to find links to apks (I will meet rules as to take down if needed.) I would like to as a op if I can get 1 1/2 wish/s granted and that would be to post links not just text URL and to be able to edit my post. [= Please, and Thank you.

3 Messages in just 3 minutes. Great job.
And aren't most messages out of the market for a good reason? besides warez that is.
i cant find the seeds of life live wallpaper. i can see other live wallpapers but this one. anyone know where i can buy it?
i couldnt find google earth on my desire
Both Google Earth & Seeds of Life are in the market, however if you don't have 2.1 Earth will not be available to you.
Post more, thx.
Apps that aren't on market are due to "other" terms of use not by Google. As Google states, they can do as they please for no reason. So if more apps arise. They will be posted, I can't edit my first post so it will be a flip threw page post by users, and myself.

Edit: I can now edit."Thank you, twimc"
Or one way you can bypass this. is to take off your simcard and load up wifi. Then open market and all apps should show up. Sometimes the carries block certain ones.
That's a good fix. In my case I can't remove sim a card. I'm digitally scribed. So maybe not activate my phone which would mean a complete wipe, restore, too much work. Thank you for the Easter egg fix. Maybe airplane mode can work the same as remove sim card.

hi, guys , recently i develop a app "find my android ", similar to ip's find my iphone ,to help you find your lost droid. : )
below is capure of my software.
when your sim card changes, my app can see from the imsi.
then app will send a alarm msm or email to you. the new telnum
of your phone attached.
if your droid is stolen , then you can send the signal sms to
the new telnum.
then the app will start a service to report your location to your
email box or another phone.
then you kan use my pc client to locate the phone.
the apk is attached.
if you like this app ,i hope you can vote for me .
this app is also taking part in the google android app contest . i need your vote!!
thanks.
the url is in the pc_python_src.rar thanks.
Kindly include the option to change the language.

That's really rude. I reported your post; pls go
Can the app email coordinates like this? 43.061162,-120.45845
I would rather just get that than have to enter my email account/password into your program.
R u talking to me or the develeper.

Well, I think openbook didn't wanted to be rude, but I think his message is very short because he is writing from his mobile.
Maybe at the question "Which langage do you need?", you could have add at the english of your answer, a little "Plz"... Just to show some respect to the developer
Don't forget the developer is sharing this for fun...
Keep it cool guys
See ya.
Zepiii.
cool
very nice idea. two questions...
1) i installed it (i have a Pulse with Froyo) and configured it.
After, i changed sim and started the phone. the program wasnt in the active program list so it didnt send me any sms.
2) the location is from GPS or from telephone company area (like google latitude)?
because the GPS is not always present...
ps. good work!
thanks for your report.
i use the wifi+basesattion to locate the phone caus we don't open gps for power saving.
and i just send two number to email for that it's good for phone to do little work and this can protect the running service from being found out , you know ,the less the app doing ,the safer the app is.
as to the sim card checking ,some guys report the problem and i'm workin on it. : )
I dont speak chinese, is there a English version?

I just saw the news of a release of a very popular game, Disgaea for Android (Free!).
However, it is limited to Japanese GMO customers only, and cannot be found in the Market.
The GMO link is here: http://gmo-game.com/app/351/
News article here: http://www.4gamer.net/games/133/G013303/20110516005/
The full game is free to download and play, and I believe many people have heard of/played the game before and got addicted for hundreds of hours and wouldn't mind playing it again! Also in this version, you get to use Prinny as the main character!
Would be great if someone can get the .apk for us to experiment whether it works and whether it needs hacking for it to work. Anyone?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Sorry that I can't be of much help, I just thought with more brains and resources it might be easier to get the game to reach a wider audience. I am willing to translate all the strings to English when it's available, and even do graphic editing if the translation requires it.
Edit: Wonderful guide to getting the game by jtkg and getting it to play by Rahkaral!
Credits to jtkg:
You can't download it from the market (the google official one) in Japan too.
You have to get the GMO market app (ttp://ap.gmo-game.com/apk/G-GEE.apk) and install it from there.
And also it's not an apk.
When you download the game, the data is copied to
"/mnt/sdcard/RuntimeApps/351" and you need to launch the game via the GMO market app.

Hello everyone,
been tinkering on this for the better part of the day (during some downtime at work) and finally resolved the secret to making it install.
This is tested and working on a Samsung Galaxy S (Vibrant). [Rooted of course]
Changed Build Prop:
ro.product.model: SO-01B
ro.product.brand: docomo
That would be an Xperia X10 spoof.
Install and Profit!

I too would love to have this.
Gonna give you my thanks, man. I was a major fan of the Disgaea series (I even played Soul Nomad!) and this is big news for me. If ever there is a port of this game, my first request is to have an international, english-dubbed version of it.
They better port that in english.

And I'm new here so it seems I can't post a link yet.
So please add "h" to the link.

As you can see by my avatar picture, I'm a big fan of Soul Nomad. You're automatically awesome for liking/playing it.
Anyway, I installed GMO, but apparently the Milestone is unsupported - I get an error saying <moonrunes> Milestone </moonrunes>, and then the install button reads "Uninstallable".
I might see if the Magic will download it (maybe it's a processor thing?). EDIT: GMO crashes when opening on the Magic, so it looks like I'm out of options, unless I can borrow my boss' Wildfire. Damn it all.
Seems as though you need a compatible device, not 100% sure but after registering on the site and downloading the game center and trying to install via the QR code I get an error message in Japanese referencing my phone model, I'm using the g2x
yeah, attempted to install but it says uninstallable, it looked at my model or os saying its a gt-i9100
Im running a samsung captivate using Continuum v5.4.1

I tried GMO on my Desire but it crashed when opening, too.
Actually you can find some GMO games in the Market (by faking a Japanese provider), but you still need a GMO account to play any of them. Judging from their terms of service, it seems that they don't accept users from outside Japan. (I didn't try registering, though.)
Sorry for my poor English.

This allows the game to install correct?
You need the GMO Game Center, (In order to download the game, just to be clear this is NOT on the android market as an APK)
Do the build-prop,
Allows Download,
Install,
Play.
I just finished the first couple of tutorial maps. (Which are handy if you don't know a lick of Japanese too, as they highlight the appropriate button for the tutorial, (teaches move, attack, throw, etc)
Mine just gives the same error, except now it says SO-O1B instead of Milestone.

Letter S

Dash
Number Zero
Number One
Letter B
-- I originally copied that as SO-"O"1B
I apologize, I was overly excited.
That worked! Downloading now. Thanks for your help!

Hi,
Call me a noob, but I DID try to search for it, but could not find anything that would suit me. I do sometimes download ROMs using 3g network(unlimited data plan) but when its too big, sometimes happens that it gets disconnected in midway and never resumes in the original download manager in browser. So I am looking for some download manager, that would allow me to pause/resume downloads, or perhaps resume from where it stopped by disconnection.
any Idias? I have tried some on android market, but could not find any useful
Free are prefered

I dont have problem downloading any files, so basically this will not help, I have it downloaded anyway, but I dont think it supports pause/resume function
And you mean sites like: megaupload, rapidshare ... ?if yes, try this

No, currently I have in mind this: http://www.baadnwz.eu/search/label/stable The file has 277mb, and ALWAYS fails at 22%. I believe that some downloader would allow me to start again and continue after 22%, rather than start again as the build in downloader does
Byte tornado downloader or Synodroid from market is that, what you looking for, i hope
I'm currently using Xwind Downloader
https://market.android.com/details?id=cn.com.android.surefan&feature=search_result
It monitors the clipboard and also intercepts downloads from your browser, the interface and translation is still a little wonky but it works decently.
