Runkeeper is out on android now but it looks like they screwed around with the settings of the app market because I can't find it there with my HTC desire. It's free so I though that someone could please upload the apk somewhere and post it here! thanks guys.

What's runkeeper?
Keeps track of speed, milage, etc, for jogging, hiking walking. Links to maps and can track your progress. Can upload but I dont use that function and no little about it. A best of its kind app IMO and was and is very popular on iphone. I just came here to post that it was available for android and saw this thread. I already downloaded and works great. Like most similar apps it uses lots of battery which is the only downside I am aware of.

I wanted to upload it for you, but it is protected app hence it is automatically odexed when installing. Anyone know some way to dump it, I'm too lazy to deodex it ;-)
I am also very interested in this app and also cannot find it on my HTC Hero.

I normally use buddyrunner, but I tried this out tonight, it's quite good. Seems to be more responsive and accurate than buddyrunner, but not as many options, for instance no customizable audio alerts.
Might try it out soon.
What I don't like about it is the Runkeeper webpage.. I find it "too heavy" for mobile usage: if I click on a route link on my phone, it takes ages for the browser to render over 3G.

it looks like a pretty nice interface from the video on the website, I'm gonna contact the guy so I can donate for it and get to do some beta testing on it. It says only contributors and donators might get their hands on the beta testing right now, so well see.
Live wallpapers will really make a nice visual attraction on our beloved HD2`s!

Are you able to make calls or message? how do you turn the touchXperience on and off? I hv it installed. Looks great
Hi instaled this version, but its not stable, you can add in today screen, just run like a program in start menu, but the experiance its good, i never see one aplication like that, underful touch, but sometimes (most the time) crash...
unfortunately the development this aplication its slow, i donate for a full version and stable...

yes i can do both with out any problem
you can select the custom menu sample to turn it on and on the right upper corner is a menu click on it and you can turn it off

I'm lost, how do you get this to work. I install the cab and the key. I saw it for a moment in the Touch X Xperince \ Sample folder, now when I go back to it, nothing happens?!

So please remove the links, it's like WAREZ because not agreed by the author. And then what you got ? Complainers about "how does it work ?". Exactly the issue the private beta test avoid...

The phone, at least the T-Mobile version, comes with some animated wallpapers. Is there anyway to put something in the folder wherever they're stored and use that?
I'm not really sure what file type they are though either.

Its a push-to-talk program which just amuses me.

you have to search for it on the market just like this.. type it exactly like this TiKL and bam there it is.. i found it just fine on my rooted 2.1 ruu sprint CDMA hero
this app is awesome! could use some graphical upgrades and customizable chirps. Love it though! Would be fun to have selectable voices such as AutoTune, Darth Vader, etc...

no, i used to be able to get it, but after moving to froyo, i no longer see it in the market,.. its a known issue
We should make this big I reckon...

links wont work, the author does not have a direct download link. and you cant get it from the market if you have a stock n1 running froyo,.

I just saw the news of a release of a very popular game, Disgaea for Android (Free!).
However, it is limited to Japanese GMO customers only, and cannot be found in the Market.

The full game is free to download and play, and I believe many people have heard of/played the game before and got addicted for hundreds of hours and wouldn't mind playing it again! Also in this version, you get to use Prinny as the main character!

P.S. Sorry that I can't be of much help, I just thought with more brains and resources it might be easier to get the game to reach a wider audience. I am willing to translate all the strings to English when it's available, and even do graphic editing if the translation requires it.

Gonna give you my thanks, man. I was a major fan of the Disgaea series (I even played Soul Nomad!) and this is big news for me. If ever there is a port of this game, my first request is to have an international, english-dubbed version of it.
They better port that in english.

As you can see by my avatar picture, I'm a big fan of Soul Nomad. You're automatically awesome for liking/playing it.
Anyway, I installed GMO, but apparently the Milestone is unsupported - I get an error saying <moonrunes> Milestone </moonrunes>, and then the install button reads "Uninstallable".
I might see if the Magic will download it (maybe it's a processor thing?). EDIT: GMO crashes when opening on the Magic, so it looks like I'm out of options, unless I can borrow my boss' Wildfire. Damn it all.
Seems as though you need a compatible device, not 100% sure but after registering on the site and downloading the game center and trying to install via the QR code I get an error message in Japanese referencing my phone model, I'm using the g2x

I tried GMO on my Desire but it crashed when opening, too.
Actually you can find some GMO games in the Market (by faking a Japanese provider), but you still need a GMO account to play any of them. Judging from their terms of service, it seems that they don't accept users from outside Japan. (I didn't try registering, though.)

This allows the game to install correct?
You need the GMO Game Center, (In order to download the game, just to be clear this is NOT on the android market as an APK)
Do the build-prop,
Allows Download,
Install,
Play.
I just finished the first couple of tutorial maps. (Which are handy if you don't know a lick of Japanese too, as they highlight the appropriate button for the tutorial, (teaches move, attack, throw, etc)
Mine just gives the same error, except now it says SO-O1B instead of Milestone.

I just released on the market (ok, it was 2 days ago) the first working version of my first "real" android app, InterNETmittence (get it?Internet...intermittence...ok, I'm not that good with names)
Free version only allows you to specify how long do you want your 3G connection to be turned on for and how long until it eventually reconnects... basically, why being online 24/7 when you can just set the phone to reconnect every few hours or so and save some battery?
App's still in its beta form, there'll be bugs and I'd like to have them reported of course, as well as hearing from you what I should add to the app

There's also a Pro version that gives access to Quiet hours and Screen off settings, as detailed in both app's decriptions, just in case you want to test it
That said, if any of you is particularly interested in being an active beta tester, I can provide him/her with said Pro version as well (free of charge, of course)

I initially thought I needed it for the connection checking and stuff but then it just carried over from the free version (which has ads, pro version obviously doesn't)
Looks good mate, respects. But you should consider changing the name if you want the app to succeed - the current one is hard to remember and pronounce.

I attached the apk to the first post,but I'm not sure the APN modifying will work on MIUI (early alpha testers said so, I never had a chance to try)

What exactly this one needs to run ? I have a tablet which runs on 2.3.4 also 800x480 res, every other thing is standart, yet with all three methods (using vpn to use market.android.com, using marketenabler to use US market on the phone and also using the posted apk in the fisrt post) I wasn't able to install the program on my tablet.
