Hi,
Call me a noob, but I DID try to search for it, but could not find anything that would suit me. I do sometimes download ROMs using 3g network(unlimited data plan) but when its too big, sometimes happens that it gets disconnected in midway and never resumes in the original download manager in browser. So I am looking for some download manager, that would allow me to pause/resume downloads, or perhaps resume from where it stopped by disconnection.
any Idias? I have tried some on android market, but could not find any useful
Free are prefered
Hi, try "Download all files" from market.. its blue icon with white arrow inside ;-) hope this help

I dont have problem downloading any files, so basically this will not help, I have it downloaded anyway, but I dont think it supports pause/resume function
And you mean sites like: megaupload, rapidshare ... ?if yes, try this
androidzoom dot com/android_applications/tools/jdownloaderrc_hyhy.html

No, currently I have in mind this: http://www.baadnwz.eu/search/label/stable The file has 277mb, and ALWAYS fails at 22%. I believe that some downloader would allow me to start again and continue after 22%, rather than start again as the build in downloader does
Byte tornado downloader or Synodroid from market is that, what you looking for, i hope
I'm currently using Xwind Downloader
https://market.android.com/details?id=cn.com.android.surefan&feature=search_result
It monitors the clipboard and also intercepts downloads from your browser, the interface and translation is still a little wonky but it works decently.

Need DroidCumulus (its not a pay app, so this is NOT warez)
If anyone has it and can post a link to the .apk, it would be greatly appreciated
its an app by leadapps...i get no response from them, and the QR in the market is broken...need this one as it is the only one that plays cumulus streams, and i need it for a station i listen to...had it and lost it when i wiped and re-flashed rom, was nowhere to be found on my sdcard backup, as it must not install to sd (weird)
package name should be com.leadapps.droidcumulus...
have searched and searched already, cannot find it anywhere, so here i am making a thread

yeah sorry bout the pm block, only accept from contacts since balazer was flaming me with rude pms, ill add you as a contact
you can "add" your own url by entering the url in the browser, and then droid cumulus will open as the player if its a url thats going to work
if it does, save it as a favorite, and there you go
try http://www.yourmuze.fm
really good for stations you cant play in any other player
it uses the browser, (yourmuze converts the streams to 3gp on the fly, and they play using your video player, so they wont play in the background, screen stays on but its black)
and it has the station (you have an extra unneeded _a in your url)
you can even copy the url once youve clicked on it to play if you hurry and long press the address bar in your browser, copy url...then add a bookmark to your broswer of that url...go to home screen, add bookmark, then make a shortcut on your homescreen...walah! instant bloomberg on your homescreen, one click between you and your fav station
yourmuze just makes you register, but i did it months ago, and never had any spam or problems from them
its free, too, which is always best
thanks for the reply. i just had someone test bloomberg radio with droidcumulus and they said it worked - but only when the hit the bloomberg link in the browser - not in the droidcumulus app.
Thank you for the app. I have been looking for it for over a week now.

i finally remembered how i added an mms link
open browser>type the mms url in the address bar>when popup happens, choose droid cumulus> when it starts playing, add as favorite
i tried your link, and even tried it some different ways, but it didnt work
after doing a url snoop, it turns out the stream is actually an rtsp, and the ip its coming from is 58.68.168.117, but i cant find which port its coming from
Thanks, I m still keep trying......
Has anyone gotten the DroidCumulus App to wok on Android 2.1? I have a Droid Incredible and installed this app, but all it does is buffer. So disappointed!
All I'm looking to do is a way to stream The Ticket sport radio station out of Dallas. Anyone know of a way to do so?
Fail Log application for android allows you to browse daily updated FAIL photos, pictures on your phone and share them.
nice.
but maybe it would be good if you could tilt the screen for some images?
and what about the black dead area in the bottom? reserved for ads or what?

.apk?
Hey guys, any chance you can upload the latest version of the .apk here? I'm experiencing the "Starting Download" issue so I'm stuck to download and installing .apk's for the mean time.
P.S. If anyone knows how to fix the "Starting Download" issue without me having to reset my phone (Galaxy S) - PLEASE HELP. T_T
what worked for me was to delete the directory:
data/data/com.android.vending
acts just like a new market installation.
Installed this and for beeing an early app it's working fine.
But it would be nice if it could start preloading the next item in the list so I don't have to when a few seconds for the next item to load when hitting the left and right arrow.
Keep the updates comming, I've been wanting an app like this for a long time.
Like it a lot. Works pretty quickly on my Galaxy S. Much better than looking at the site through the browser. Just a couple suggestions, but a "view comments" option might be nice, as well as a setting to select which sites to pull from as this looks like it gets more than just failblog, but some of the other cheezeburger sites as well.
Can somebody put that program's ".apk" file here , please ? I can't using "Android Market" because of geographic problems. Thank you. =)
Tried it. very slow on a good 3G connection, some of the things I did see are not very new.
Uninstalled

I currently access a website that has the ability to download selected files from the click of a hyperlink. (on the PC). You just click on the link and the files come down and a dialog box opens with the downloaded file asking, to open it or save it.
When I try to do the same on my phone the website appears to be accepting depressing the link, however nothing appears on my phone and I cannot find the file anywhere space on the phone. It may be downloading the file in the file structure but I cannot find it. My friend who has an iPhone does the same thing and the file opens up immediately on his phone just like you would on a PC.
I can open these files if they are sent to me in an e-mail but not by depressing this hyperlink on the website.
Anyone have any ideas?
ps: the phone is a stock Charge with the latest GB update.
Usually you'd see an arrow in the Status Bar when something is actually downloading. You can also check the Downloads app in your App Drawer, providing you have it.
It sounds to me like it's simply not downloading for some reason You could try another Browser to see if you have the same problem.
I tried using the dolphin browser but still no luck. I looked in the downloads folder and did not see it. The particular link on the website itself is a function that automatically begins a download stream to the your device. When using a PC, a dialog box opens up asking if you want to open the file or save it. I get no reaction when using my android phone. I know the function works on a mobile device since a friend of mine with an iPhone perform the same function and it downloaded to his phone.
Any other ideas?
What is the website you are trying to download from?
Anyway, try Opera Mobile first, NOT the MINI version, but "Opera Mobile".
Its the only browser who allowes me to download from any source I tried so far:

Wow, thanks very much for the help yukinok25. Looks like the Opera Mini browser, which I assume is similar to what's in the iPhone works perfectly. The website I am accessing this link is a secure server so I cannot tell you the website.

Hi,
I'm also eligilble for this offer and even got the sms from samsung with these links for download, but I'm connected to internet through my institute's wifi proxy (authenticated - i.e., requires username and password to use), The problem is I'm able to browse well and download other files from dolphin HD, but unable to download these games. The download wouldn't start and a message appears at the bottom: "waiting for data connection..." and nothing appears except battery discharge.
this offer will not work if used in opera or firefox mobile browsers. the message displayed is:
Sorry! the free games offer is not appplicable for your handset
For more paid games click here
-so no use of trying those browsers.
not to mention the default stock browser which immediately says download failed
Can anyone please help what to do...because this offer expires on 2 aug 2012 (3 months from the date I got the sms from samsung)...before which i want to download these games and music...
gprs connection is expensive

First of all, Thanks for replying
That error message comes in opera and firefox only if your mobile's internet connection is proxy authenticated, otherwise it may not (as your case).
I tried all that you mentioned, but couldn't succeed. I tried mobile proxy (proxy bypass), it would take me till the download page fine, but then when I click download button nothing happens.
But finally I succeeded using another trick:
Since only downloads don't work in dolphin/stock browser (but download button appears) and downloads work well in opera/firefox (but download button doesn't appear and the above mentioned error message is displayed instead), what I did is reach till the download button page using stock browser and then open that download button using opera....VOILA I"m able to download the .apk!
But I get the following error message with gameloft games (when I open the installed game):
"a problem occured and the download could not be completed successfully. Do you want to restart the download?"
I get this error message even with a free gameloft game downloaded from android market. Could someone please help? My android version: 2.3.6. My model: Galaxy note.

I had a friend with a similar issue - I turned him on to HideNinja VPN and it helped him. It's the only thing I can think of that may help. I'd suggest closing all tabs for all browsers. Delete the browsers you can that you don't prefer to use. Restart the device, install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cryptninja.vpn make sure the app is configured and running properly, then try running your browser. Make sure no alternate settings in your browser could be created jumbling or smashing. Give the "Desktop Version" of the site a try too.

Ok, about chrome i found out that cyanogenmod's browser is ten times faster!!! And for the ADS i wasn't aware that those were intrusive ADS(i thought that the option block popup was broken XD ), so i want to recommend all of you to do this http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/blocking-ads-in-android/ scroll down a bit and you'll find a tutorial to create an host file, normal ads aren't blocked but the intrusives one i noticed that this little file blocks them very well
